1 John 3:1-10 ~ called, therefore, Children of God

1 John 3:1-10

 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 

2 Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 

3 And everyone who thus hopes in Him purifies himself as he is pure.

4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness. 5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin. 6 No one who abides in him keeps on sinning; no one who keeps on sinning has either seen him or known him. 

7 Little children, let no one deceive you. Whoever practices righteousness is righteous, as he is righteous. 8 Whoever makes a practice of sinning is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. 

The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. 

9 No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God. 10 By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.


This overload of data, on the information highway, during Covid 19 makes these Verses just perfect.

We want to know why. We want to understand "Acts of God" and who is responsible.

Let's begin with finding what is pure. God. Interweaving all things for Good.




On January 17, 2020, the Chinese Government contacted the AP Wire and Governments releasing information on Covid 19, Hydroxychloroquine, used to prevent or treat malaria caused by mosquitoes, was proving to beneficial. And being placed upon the patient's stomach, appeared to remove pressure from the heart, increasing survival.

Very apparently, China did not want the people of the world to suffer and die. Bird Flu and Swine Flu reportedly were generated in the food markets of China, and the diseases did not run terribly amok. After initial fears.

Our Family has spent weeks in China near the Great Wall and have found, even today, the great harm of Mao's food experimentation.

We are a farming family and these topics are of interest to us. Mao tried different experiments desperately wanting to grow crops in the dead of winter, hence "Winter Wheat." These were never successful.  Mao was trying to provide food for a highly populated nation, farming with Oxen, even in the 1990s and early 2000 - in rural parts of China. Mao then decided to kill all the songbirds in China to avoid having even a grain of food taken from the population. Food rewards were given, food coupons were given, and a small amount of money to kill and bring in songbirds. The New Mao Government proudly displayed the mounting annihilation of birds. Today, the Great Wall has months the out-of-bounds insect population overtakes. And this is not a farming area.

Japan is completely familiar with wearing masks.
Due to China burning off old crops. Most of China's crops are grown in Western China, now, consider the distance across China and the ocean to Japan. We probably watched the news, and remember the weeks of masks worn in China - at the eastern coast's Huge Cities. The problem was in the 1980s and 1990s, the top soil was being destroyed. Recently, we heard in the news of the 'invasion' of Chinese Students into, gasp, American Universities. Actually, this is well known to The Department of Agriculture and FDA. Our colleges have been starved of anyone wanting to farm. Agriculture Colleges like Texas A & M, LSU and others wondered if they should remove the Ag Classes. In a humanitarian effort, Chinese students were invited to attend and learn, not only modern equipment, but all information on feeding a Chinese Nation with 1.39 Billion Citizens. The United States, at the time, was concerned with the increasing food requirements straining our own farms.

The Professors of United States Agriculture Colleges found the students sent from China were among the brightest. They were very, very determined and professional to take on feeding the huge Nation of China. We all remember Joseph in the Bible and the extreme concern of the Pharaoh about Famine. In less than ten years, we haven't seen masks used for burning the fields and top soils. And you'd be hard-pressed to find so many Oxen in use after the year 2005. Chinese vegetable and fruit markets have enough to donate to Africa for the last decade.

The USA does send food and various grains to China. And we are, the USA, a population of 350 million people, still the largest producer of grains and crops and are feeding farm animals and people.

But Mao's damage to the ecological balance is still a factor today. We know about these balances in Mad Cow disease. The Chinese people eat vast quantities of soy in tofu for protein. The official diet is tofu. And in this insect imbalance, as seen in Africa this last year in the Locust Plague, like Exodus, food chains affect wild animals. We would probably make the entire world a healthier place if China was interested in Animal Husbandry Curriculum in United States Farming.



Is the Chinese Government liable for Swine Flu, Bird Flu and Covid 19.
It will depend on damages reached and communications. Personally, I'd assume this is a real life learning experience, from gathering some data in the news, but with repeat illnesses, the topic is important and needs to be addressed.

How Dire is the Food Chain in China?
Dire. Infants are raised on breast milk or Formula. In China, when natural products ran out, Nitrogen fertilizer was placed in the Baby Formula and well over - the released information - and more than 1.000 infants perished. The situation continued to embarrass the farmers dealing with The Chinese Communist Party and after they knew the formula was killing infants, the Nitrogen Fertilizer was continued to be placed in formula. No one wanted to admit to each other and the government shortages - exist.


Personally, I'd ask for more participation in Education for the Chinese. As a world community, the need is very apparent. We can always be benevolent enough to teach more farming and animal husbandry, we will never undo a Cold War or a World War III.

Was China going with criminal intent?
Their stock market began to see recovery about the same time ours did and the thought of war or Cold War is driving their stock market down. We might actually be a worldwide community in a situation together.

Abba, our Holy Father,

We pray for Your Help and Willing Blessings to heal the land. We ask for healing on our nation, the nations and our states striving to heal the land. We diligently and earnestly ask You to interweave all things for good and will do this in our lives and in our hopes and in our employment.

The prayers we seek from Your Love and Grace we will provide in our own lives. Pleasing and acceptable in Your sight.

2 Chronicles 6:27
Then hear in heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk, and grant rain upon your land, which you have given to your people as an inheritance.

We ask Your Willing Blessings to shower upon Your Creation You have found to be Good.

We know Your Willingness to save all the earth in Jesus Christ. God and Father of All. We ask of You to have mercy upon us as You did after Good Friday. Please provide Hope and Love, for Health, our Families, for our Employment, for the Markets, for the grieving, for the isolation and a belief in the goodness of the future.

Psalm 60:2 A Good Friday Prayer
You have made the land to quake; you have torn it open; repair its breaches, for it totters.

Jeremiah 8
21 For the brokenness of the daughter of my people I am crushed. I mourn; horror has gripped me. 22 Is there no balm in Gilead? Is no physician there? Why then has the health of the daughter of my people not been restored?

Matthew 9:12
On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.

Jesus is the exact Nature of our Father God. Our Father hears our prayers and has Mercy. God our Father is working and so is Jesus. Thank You, Father.

Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow You are God of Love. God of Encouragement. God of Hope. You are our Father, Father to all Prodigals calling You for Your Goodness.

Jeremiah 33:6
"'Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security."

To know Scripture, is to Know the Power of God! Thank GOD!

Not just ours, but those far away as well. We ask You to speak Healing for those doing such brave and necessary work.

We believe we live seeing Heaven upon earth.

Titus 3:4-8 ~ goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior

Titus 3:4-8

When the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, 
He saved us, 
not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, 
by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior

And in being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. 

The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, 
so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people.


We were living well. Moving fast. Flying here and there. Planning Vacations. Seeing Family. Going out.

And then, we all slowed down to have a crisis.

To find as the days develop, our own learning curve. In Resilience. Our Endurance. Our Hopes. The Daily Work finding and seizing This Day. To encourage, to teach, to be brave. To encourage ourselves. Our Fortitude. Gathering Strength, being a shelter. Providing Safety.

Being honest, dealing with emotions, conquering fleeting emotions. Discovering all the tools in our mind, our tool box. Finding Hope.

Care giving. Care phone calls. Sending masks. Sending supplies. Dampening down drama.





A man I admired, in Heaven, used to say,
 "Always be a kind word. It could be the only kind word someone hears this week."

This is our time to find and provide, prevail, make precedent
for words and deeds
of Mercy.

God might say Love the Lord, by Trusting Him. Love ourselves and be merciful to ourselves, making the mercy we give others close to the amount of mercy we give ourselves.

We wonder, sometimes, when we read a whole Chapter, how to take this in. To delve to the portions our heart is warmed. A Bishop in Fort Worth once told me, focus on God's Love. Jesus has answered His Wrath for us all. God's Word tells us there is a time and a season. We can have introspection and growth. Yet I'm sure we can all recognize this season. This would be:

Isaiah 40

“Comfort, comfort My people,” says your God. “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her forced labor has been completed; her iniquity has been pardoned. For she has received from the hand of the LORD double for all her sins.”

2 Corinthians 1:4

Jesus comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

Isaiah 51:12

I, even I, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mortal man, or a son of man who withers like grass?

Be a font of Blessing.

Isaiah 66:13
As a mother comforts her son, so I will comfort you, and you will be consoled over Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 31:10
Hear, O nations, the word of the LORD, and proclaim it in distant coastlands, saying: 
"The One who scattered Israel will gather them and keep them as a shepherd guards his flock.

So the LORD spoke kind and comforting words to the angel who was speaking with me.

Abba, Our Father God,

We ask You give us Your Blessings as we read from Your Comfort.

Blessing Families who used this time to enrich their families.

For Families who were afraid.

For those who were courageous during their illness.

Blessing those who have departed this earth and the emptiness their loved ones have. 

To be filled again in all Your Promises.

For all of us who hope the next season will be met with Bold Favor of You, Our Father God.

We all have a personal miracle to remember with Gratitude as we ask Your Blessings Again.

And the Comfort we feel as we know You hear us!

This Day is Arriving, we hold the Faith.

We believe we live seeing Heaven upon earth. 

For His Good will to provide for us. 

To live to Seek God First and Live having Love, Peace and Joy.

Uphold those we Love. We Trust You.

Philippians 4:4-8 ~ think about these things

Is Covid 19 actually the movie, "Groundhog's Day" ?

Today, I felt the 'stuck in the rut' start over again. I opened Facebook up and found a scripture for my Road To Emmaus, warm heart to the Lord, moment. Flipping through Facebook, I found several worthy Bible Verses.

And then this, this is the moment:

Philippians 4:5-8

5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Sufficiently cheered, I had an errand to run to the hardware store. In cheerfulness, I lowered windows. And thought about the virus changing viewpoints on automobiles, our cars have become a shield. A refuge. A solace. And ~ Cheerful.

As the wind began to invite the late spring into the car, I remembered going to Augusta, Appling, Georgia for Edward's Birthday a few years ago. We were on the way to a State Park and the morning was so early, fog was rising in the fields and on the road. Soon, we found that a V-shaped flying group of Canada Geese were flying in front of us on the road. We were the tail end of the V. In the V point. That very cloudy morning, we lowered the windows and for a few minutes, we flew with the Geese.


And in this memory, I thought of Renewal. Rejoicing. A few moments earlier, I hadn't wanted to hear the song, "Rejoice Always", I just wasn't feeling this. Gratitude isn't easily forced after a few weeks of this Virus.

And in my mind, with the air rushing past me, with the Geese flying memory, in the morning sunlight, I wondered what other verses my memory would recall:

1 Peter 1:12
They were told that their messages were not for themselves, but for you. And now this Good News has been announced to you by those who preached in the power of the Holy Spirit sent from heaven.

 It is all so wonderful that even the angels are eagerly watching these things happen.


2 Kings 2
9 When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?”

“Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit,” Elisha replied.

10 “You have asked a difficult thing,” Elijah said, “yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not.”

11 As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind.

12 Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!”



Isaiah 40:31
They who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; 
they shall mount up with wings 
like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.

Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself

Your Path will find Your Road to Emmaus.

1 Peter 2:5

You yourselves like living stones

 are being built up as a spiritual house,

 to be a holy priesthood,

 to offer spiritual supernatural, regenerate offerings

 acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Taking the moments we find a glimpse of Heaven on earth and making the most of this time by finding the verses in Scripture.

Thomas Jefferson did this. He clipped out from the Bible the verses giving him the Road to Emmaus. He didn't have the liberty of a smartphone. We know people fuss and fuss about this. Yet Thomas Jefferson diligently found God's Word where his heart knew God. And we all then know on July 4th, John Adams said, in a far looking vision, "Thomas Jefferson Lives!"

One witness said yes, this is true. The other witness said I heard something, but I'm not sure John Adams said that.

John 12:28-30
28 Father, glorify Your name!”

Then a voice came from heaven: “I have glorified it, and I will glorify it again.”

29 The crowd standing there heard it and said that it had thundered.

Others said that an angel had spoken to Him.

30 In response, Jesus said, “This voice was not for My benefit, but yours."


God of All. God of the Heavenly Host. God of Salvation. Ancient of Days. God wouldn't fuss over Thomas Jefferson looking for the places of God where Thomas Jefferson connected. We won't reach God's Abilities, we find He reaches to us. We Love because God first loved us.


Abba.

The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer. My God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

May my meditation be pleasing to Him, for I rejoice in the LORD.

The Comforter, He, The Lord always before me, 

He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.

And day by day, attending (ourselves as the Temple of God), together 

and breaking bread in our homes, 

we received our food with glad and generous hearts, 

Praising God and Jesus having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to our number day by day 

those who were being saved.



This Day is Arriving, we hold the Faith.

Today, I saw people getting coffee sitting in their tailgates, joyful to see.

We believe God will see us through to thrive and live seeing Heaven upon earth. For His Good will to provide for us. To live to Seek God First and Live having Love, Peace and Joy.

Uphold us, Father. Uphold those we Love.

Increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power,
according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy.

Finding Peace is finding the Word of God to hold onto Today.

We ask for the virus to end and Joy in Recovery.

Acts 2 ~ day by day those who were being saved

Acts 2

When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. 

2 And suddenly 
there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5 Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. 

6 And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, 
because each one was hearing them speak in his own language. 7 And they were amazed and astonished, saying, “Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? 9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, 11 both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians—we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.” 12 And all were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, 

“What does this mean?” 

13 But others mocking said, “They are filled with new wine.”


14 But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words. 15 For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. 16 But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel:

17 “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares,
that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh,
and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams;
18 even on my male servants and female servants
in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.
19 And I will show wonders in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke;
20 the sun shall be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood,
before the day of the Lord comes, the great and magnificent day.
21 And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.’

22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know— 23 this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. 24 God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. 25 For David says concerning him,

“‘I saw the Lord always before me,
for he is at my right hand 
that I may not be shaken;

26 therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced;
my flesh also will dwell in hope.

27 For you will not abandon my soul to Hades,
or let your Holy One see corruption.

28 You have made known to me the paths of life;
you will make me full of gladness with your presence.’

29 “Brothers, I may say to you with confidence about the patriarch David that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Being therefore a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that he would set one of his descendants on his throne, 31 he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God raised up, and of that we all are witnesses. 33 Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. 

34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,
“‘The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at my right hand,
35 until I make your enemies your footstool.”’

36 Let all the house of Israel therefore 
know for certain that God
 has made him both Lord and Christ, 
this Jesus whom you crucified.”

37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 

38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” 

40 And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” 

41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 

46 And day by day, attending the temple together 
and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 

47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.





Last year, a child put up a sign in the back of her mother's car suggesting she was being kidnapped and needed help. This is a type of tongues. Biblically called:

Luke 12:48
One who does not know, and then does something wrong, will be given a light beating. When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.

In Texas, we call this, "Wait until your father gets home." In the era of my childhood, this was called, "Bring me a switch from the Peach tree and when I come in your room in 15 minutes, explain what you did and then we will discuss this."

In the Twilight Zone, this is called, "Tongues of Fire."




The gift of these tongues is called Xenoglossia, the Church records Xenoglossia helping convert people through all the centuries. Hearing God's mighty works in one's own language, when the person speaking has never been instructed in the language, is a work of the Spirit. It is a sign and a work of God. It is one of many.

An entire Church in Scotland suddenly could speak in different languages in the late 1800s.

1 Corinthians 13:8

Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

We think of Easter as Joyous, placid, uplifting.

NOT THE FIRST EASTER AND WE ARE STILL IN THE EASTER SEASON!!!!!!!!

There is So Much Information. There are so many Opinions. This is like the Two Million showing up after the First Easter to figure out what is where and how and when, Jesus is alive.

Wind. The Holy Spirit wasn't placid and delightful. The Holy Spirit arrives to move and comfort. To instruct. To Prevail.

John 3:8

The wind blows wherever it pleases. 

You hear its sound, but you cannot tell 

where it comes from or where it is going. 

So it is with everyone 

born of the Spirit.

We may feel "bewildered", we may hear one opinion in our own language. And many, many tongues of fire. Thinking of people in other nations. Wondering at the Mighty Works of God. Amazed and perplexed.

Yet we know there will be a great and magnificent day! Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The Comforter, He, The Lord always before me, 

He is at my right hand, that I may not be shaken.

And day by day, attending (ourselves as the Temple of God), together 

and breaking bread in our homes, 

we received our food with glad and generous hearts, 

Praising God and Jesus having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to our number day by day 

those who were being saved.



This Day is Arriving, we hold the Faith.
We believe God will see us through to thrive and live seeing Heaven upon earth. For His Good will to provide for us. To live to Seek God First and Live having Love, Peace and Joy.

Uphold us, Father. Uphold those we Love.

Increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power,
according to His glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy.

Finding Peace is finding the Word of God to hold onto Today.

We ask for the virus to end and Joy in Recovery.

God Himself Bless, Sustain, Comfort

The people working, working tirelessly, and bravely to aid Father God's Good Creation in Health, in Peace, in Prosperity
and the Blessing of Jesus Christ Himself, on earth as it is in Heaven.
