John 21:13-19

Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. 14 This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

15 When they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love (agape) me more than these?”

He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love (philo) you.”

He said to him, “Feed my lambs.”

16 He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love (agape) me?”

He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love (philo) you.”

He said to him, “Tend my sheep.”

17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love (agape) me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?”

and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I (agape) love you.”

Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. 18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.”

19 (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) 

And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.”



Today, we saw Hollywood have a laughing response to a Responsibility Pledge.

Did the Hollywood actors expect to have snickering?

I imagine they thought it wouldn't be a Heaven.
Perhaps the Hollywood community wanted only the support of one another? Hollywood has a peer pressure system, however, overall - the audience is key. So - we might find this was brave - knowing it wasn't  going to be applauded.

How would Scriptures react to the other worldliness of this First Century Culture?

The Culture of First Century Rome embraced Marriage. Re-marriage. Marriage to same sex. Marriage to your slave. Marriage to underage slaves. Married again, and, definitely, not giving one dime to the step-children. Protests with Riots? Send in the General and his Legion. Elections? No. Every other year march on Rome. Plague? Well, ok, but usually ten percent live to be 70 years old. Live hard, eat eels and die young. Eels are delicious... until, ecologically, it's all over fished.

Speaking of Fishing. Jesus has done all things well. He has fished in these conditions before.

Jesus has some very advanced ways - seeing and healing guilt. In fact, this is His First Confessional. Love, Forgive, go forth and abolish guilt. We can believe this to be a fact, knowing the guilt of the French Revolution didn't bring forth a stronger nation. Jesus is of the opinion we should find Him strengthening, helping and comforting us to love one another.

The Arts Academy recognizes this:

Jesus is not a side-walk hack seeking a guilt handle. Jesus seeks to bring in Love, we are placed second to our God and next to each other. The First Confessional of John 21 has sibling rivalry. Jesus isn't all that put out.



Jesus did face His Friends.
And gave breakfast, bringing up something they would recognize in their past - 70 Disciples had deserted Jesus. Jesus had told them they would eat His Body and Drink His Blood. The Disciples ran off.

John 6:60-71 

60 When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?”

61 But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were grumbling about this, said to them, “Do you take offense at this? 62 Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.”
(For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.)

65 And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”

66 After this many of his disciples turned back and no longer walked with him.

67 So Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?”

68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, 69 and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”


Why would Jesus press home again to His Disciples about food? Because Jesus expects His Disciples to have meals taken together and Eucharist in His Love. Jesus does not expect His Beloved and His Church to be about Ideas. Or Guilt. Jesus tells of Life being Joy in multiple Chapters of the Bible. Jesus expects the beauty of meals taken together. And knows there will be fusses and sibling rivalry.

The First Confession is a beach party, homecoming party with a meal. Guilt is not a sauce or a filling. Jesus expects Love will change the world.

Jesus expects His Beloved to be fed. To pray Luke 11 believing with shameless audacity and impudence - we Pray with Jesus Christ - to find more of Your Heavenly Kingdom on earth. The Beauty of Love, Faith, Hope and Encouragement. To believe in the Light of Jesus in mankind and feed this Love.



Abba, Our Father!

Abundant Life seeks the Glory only God has to give.

To believe in Luke 11 to pray with shameless audacity and impudence
- we Pray with Jesus Christ
to find more of Your Heavenly Kingdom on earth.

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,

According to the riches of our Father God's glory,
You may grant us to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in our inner being,

Finding Jesus Christ, daily His Mercies Renew, and dwell in our hearts through faith.

We pray to all, all , ALL be rooted and grounded in Love

In Your Power to have Strength, with all the Saints
finding God's Love!

God's Love - is the breadth and length and height and depth,
the love of Christ surpasses knowledge
and ALL are filled with all the fullness of God.



Jesus is God
He is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think,
according to the power at work within us,
to Jesus be Glory in the Church
and in Christ Jesus. light of mankind, throughout all generations,
forever and ever. Amen.

Father God, Abba,

Let us Pray to Seek You, Find You in Jesus Christ.
The Glory of Your Heaven on earth..

The Wonders and Mercies of God Prevail.

We are People with the Help of Jesus,

Strength.

Isaiah 58:12 ~ Rebuilt †

Jesus would pull us out of our bubble and have ONE AMERICA.

Isaiah 58:12

And your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt;

you shall raise up the foundations of many generations;

you shall be called 

the repairer of the breach,

the restorer of streets to dwell in.

Acts 2:1-12, 36-47

When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. 2 And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5 Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. 6 And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one was hearing them speak in his own language. 7 And they were amazed and astonished, saying, “Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? 9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, 11 both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians—we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.” 12 And all were amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “What does this mean?” 


36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”

37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” 38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is for you and for your children and for all who are far off, everyone whom the Lord our God calls to himself.” 40 And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” 41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.


We all know Acts 2.

One thing we also know about Act 2 and the Unity of God, the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone in Seattle, 'Chaz' or 'Chad',  isn't the Plan. All things do work together in the interweaving of God's Plan - we now have a perfect representation of Animal Farm.

A utopia of freedom, where a few rules are needed. Like Safety - ok guards. More Safety since the police are abolished - ok AK-47. Now Authority with the Safety - required pat downs. The 500 homeowners probably aren't enchanted with the 20 public tents. Or the extortion money to keep graffiti away. The 500 homeowners and the shop owners aren't giving interviews. A key point. There aren't cars going in and out. A centralized point.

One homeowner of the 500 was interviewed with his face blurred out and a voice over implant. He reported continual gunfire. A horrible thing during every night. Eventually Chad, Chaz, would have one person shot and killed and another critically injured.

Acts 2 when all things were shared. Even in the most loving of Congregations, one wonders about this. How long did this go on?

Eusebius, Bishop of Caesarea, 313 A.D. was our historian and eyewitness to explaining the family, descendants - nieces and nephews, of Jesus Christ were still held in great regard in Nazareth. 3 Centuries later.

The Vintage Photos of Israel are profound. 

2,000 years saw the cities look as they did in the time of Jesus Christ ,

walking as truth and grace among us.

Nazareth is probably part of our ideas of the City of God in the clouds. The plateau makes Nazareth famous for it's clear view and watch tower. Revelation also informs us of the City of God descending from on High.

This is a rebuilt archaeological watchtower of Nazareth. The watch tower would want Good News and alerts to travel quickly, so the watch tower also is a storehouse of supplies the village would need. A busy place.

And if you watch people start to consider what God would have them do for Acts 2 today, one might see some discomfort. God created the plagues of the Exodus. The discomfort was His Plan. God believed His people needed safety, security and a Hope and Future. And as God created Ephesians 3, He wanted families to live together on earth and in Heaven. He wasn't setting up a commune like Chaz. God didn't intend Public Tents and extortion fees for freedoms. He intended for the Communities to enrich and enliven and enjoy and up build one another.

We have found Covid-19 to be an enormous version of Sars. Sars is the Common Cold. So if we continue this idea, we are working to overcome "The Great COLD." God is very interesting. During Exodus, God gave specific instructions on child bearing. He was taking care of the littlest people. We find this is overcoming The Great Cold. The children are safe. Interesting.

And in establishing Israel, God intends the people to form self-reliance and common good. Acts 2 is this in Awakening.

We are intended to find our feet with each other.

One of the aspects of Recovery, is an economic recovery. And this would seem the worst time to ask of one another to give and to share. Isn't it a Wonder of God - as this timing occurs - we are - READY and WILLING.

What will we share? The first thing we could share would be all we could do to put behind us, "COLD". We could find when someone has a need, we ask the people we know if they have a place for the Solution. We can develop Cross Church Bible Studies.

We can work upon being the Body of Christ, not in Crisis.

What would we share? Our Cares. Our Fellowship. Our warmth. Our tools to make life better. Our jobs. Our information. Our resources. Our protection one of another.

God assembles this exactly. He calls this: Freedom. You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. So I say, walk by the Spirit. The kingdom of God is love, joy, peace, forbearance (kind patience, tolerance, a Pastor at our outdoor Church Prayer calls this Rhinoceros hide), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

In the Exodus, God made the Desert comfortable. This is what we will do to defeat "The Cold".
We make the cold - bloom forth into Abundant Life with the Grace and Power of our God in Jesus.

God Commanded us to Love One Another.

The Exodus is written Laws on Hewn Rock.

Jesus told us Love One Another is written in our Hearts.

When we share our cares, before Jesus, we love one another. When we love one another, we are community. And in this Love, we build up the Body of Christ. Do not let a day go by when you do not build up, encourage, help or love one another. Give us this Day.

To live in Abundant Life is to ask to see Your Glory.

Psalm 130 ~ He will

God can make any desert bloom. He would give a Cloud by day to make pleasant temperatures. And a Pillar of Fire at night to cause the seeds He planted to want to grow.

We can trust God with all our Seasons. God our Father is filled with Mercy, Grace and Love.

Psalm 130

A Song of Ascents.

Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!

2 O Lord, hear my voice!

Let your ears be attentive

to the voice of my pleas for mercy!

3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,

O Lord, who could stand?

4 But with you there is forgiveness,

that you may be feared.

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,

and in his word I hope;

6 my soul waits for the Lord

more than watchmen for the morning,

more than watchmen for the morning.

7 O Israel, hope in the Lord!

For with the Lord there is steadfast Love,

and with Him is plentiful redemption.

Remembering our blessings, given today, and rise again tomorrow in the Mercy of God and Renewed Hope and Expectation.

Today, Edward and I were planning what exercise to take together. And I wanted to drive because I voted to drive fairly far away for our dogs to be able to run freely. Edward said sure. So as we were getting ready, we tried a new place. We went to a Church closer to our house with a park for people to walk and live and Disc Golf in. Enjoyed the day, the dogs had fun. Exercise and family together.

We participated in an online Forum on improving Life in the evening. One of the City Council was so inspiring to ask to have Churches mix their Bible Studies with cross racial lines. Not to know each other in crisis, but to be the Body of Christ in Community. How completely inspiring.

Inspiring is to see the Churches gather to have thoughts on improving life. And forget to have the police, because life is from God. And we want to grow Life Abundant.  So blessed to be reminded.

I felt so blessed to end a two hour discussion on something so Lovely. And the Forum asked a member of the audience, which was small due to Covid-19, to pray for us to go forth. The Pastor of the local Church stood up and prayed for us all to begin to see something wonderful of Jesus is all of us. To expect more of each other. To learn to love again with more tolerance. We were so blessed - to have gone to the Church he Pastors - Today. Sometimes a Coincidence of God Himself is all we need to go forth. To feel Loved.

Did Mary and Martha watch for Jesus during the illness of Lazarus.

John 11:40-43

40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

41 So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42 I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

43 When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44 The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.

Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”


Let's take off old dead notions and work for His Glory.

We need the Grace of God upon His People. God gives us many days to find Him each day.

Psalm 27:14
Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

Having purified your souls by your obedience to the truth for a sincere brotherly love, love one another earnestly from a pure heart

1 John 3:18
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.

Psalm 130 is a Psalm of Ascents. God builds us up.





Abba,

Your child Thanks You for Your Mercies renew each day. We thank You to send the Christ appointed to us, Jesus.

We lift up our cares to You to Carry. The Battle truly belongs to You.


Your Strength is our strength, when we are weak. 
And in this Comfort, we find our Joy.

Pursue what makes for peace and for mutual up building.

Thank You for Your Way, Truth and Life. Prophesies speak to mankind, to the Light of Jesus Living and working within, for our encouragement, and comfort. 

God of encouragement help us to please You 
We seek the Kingdom of Heaven First. God of Love, help us to live in Love, Peace and Joy. Bringing Heaven to earth.

Cover those we Love in Jesus Christ as well.
Uphold those we Love. We Trust You.

We ask for the virus to end and Joy in Recovery. And more Recovery for All.

We pray for Your Word to be Spoken. We pray for a vaccine.
