John 14 - 17 ~ Believe in God

Jesus is the Light of the world
Jesus is the Light of mankind
Light doesn't have boundaries

We have all experienced being warmed by the sun. This season we begin to have the sun warm us again.
Welcome, sunnier days filled with Light and warmth.

Christmas captivates our hearts to know the generosity of God as Father.

And Easter, with the mystery of Faith, creates internal questions to ask and seek. People will arrive at an Alpha Course even after years of faith to ask and examine the basic portions of faith. And some attend the basics of faith to find out their questions and their own answers.

With your vacation time,
would you want  to go yourself or just ask others their experience and thoughts.

We read Scripture to know God representing Himself. And then after reading His Word
find what is appealing to you. Is this the less precise shortcut?  No, the Living Word of God is Comfort. Joy. Love. And in this encouragement leaning into Father God. Your Gifts and your mind reaching in your unique soul to understand Your Father's Love for you. A personal journey. You will want to share when love and comfort arrive.

The Book of Job discusses Life and suffering. The mystery of faith in circumstances we don't understand. The last four Chapters of the Book are Father God finding His Majesty has been discussed by many and often God believes He is misrepresented.

When God says He is misrepresented, we would want to know these discussions. The Book of Job is from the time of Jacob, Abraham's grandson in circa 1800 B.C. We might want to find out the inspirations of so many generations of mankind. Job 38 - 42  God is answering from a whirlwind. We find we live in a whirlwind when our minds are in their casual and comfortable physical surroundings, yet our mind search all our experiences through the years, the mind's own dog paths to grow or understand. Understanding within ourselves as life changes beyond what we imagined what would be.

The recommended reading from Job 38 to Job 42, the end of the Book of Job. Psalm One, next, begins the comforts written by King David of Israel.

What would Jesus Christ as God's Representative say about Life, Love, Suffering and God's Will?

John 14, 15, 16 and 17

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.

12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.

25 “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. 28 You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me, 31 but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go from here.

John 15

15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3 Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. 4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he  that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. 7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love. 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love. 11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 These things I command you, so that you will love one another.

18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. 21 But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Whoever hates me hates my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.’

26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me. 27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

John 16

“I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away. 2 They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. 3 And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me. 4 But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you.

“I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. 5 But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. 7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. 8 And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; 10 concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; 11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

16 “A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.” 17 So some of his disciples said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’; and, ‘because I am going to the Father’?” 18 So they were saying, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’? We do not know what he is talking about.” 19 Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, “Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me’? 20 Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy. 21 When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. 22 So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. 23 In that day you will ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

25 “I have said these things to you in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech but will tell you plainly about the Father. 26 In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; 27 for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. 28 I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

29 His disciples said, “Ah, now you are speaking plainly and not using figurative speech! 30 Now we know that you know all things and do not need anyone to question you; this is why we believe that you came from God.” 31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me. 33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

John 17

When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, 2 since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. 4 I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory that I had with you before the world existed.

6 “I have manifested your name to the people whom you gave me out of the world. Yours they were, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. 7 Now they know that everything that you have given me is from you. 8 For I have given them the words that you gave me, and they have received them and have come to know in truth that I came from you; and they have believed that you sent me. 9 I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours. 10 All mine are yours, and yours are mine, and I am glorified in them. 11 And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. 12 While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me. I have guarded them, and not one of them has been lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. 13 But now I am coming to you, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 15 I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth. 18 As you sent me into the world, so I have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sake I consecrate myself, that they also may be sanctified in truth.

20 “I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, 21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, 23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. 24 Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am, to see my glory that you have given me because you loved me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, even though the world does not know you, I know you, and these know that you have sent me. 26 I made known to them your name, and I will continue to make it known, that the love with which you have loved me may be in them, and I in them.”

The Bible is specifically stated and the paragraphs put together for God's Plan. The Structure of the verses and the paragraphs are building God's Purpose.  The Book of Job has three Chapters God answers the plausible arguments for God and against life's hardships. We recognize our own thoughts and what people have to say about God.

Jesus answers.

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me."

Jesus slept in the boat. He was not often troubled by Life. And yet Life touches the heart of Jesus. He comforts Jairus his daughter is not dead. Jesus takes the deaf man, privately, to understand God's healing purpose. Jesus touches the bier of the dead son's funeral procession, making the widow woman end her grief and isolation of the harshest circumstance in life.

John 15. God has accepted us. We are part of His Plan and His Garden. Done. Accepted.

John 16. Lead us not into Temptation. God is telling us life will test us. The path will be rocky, chocked over from purpose, trampled down. We ask God to help us and dwell in us. We have to find our own God given direction and His Comfort. The Holy Spirit is Comfort.

God gives us comfort we will learn to comfort others.

Today, I had wonderful counsel. My mother is in the Hospice Program. Choices will be made, she herself set in motion and counselled us to do. Her treasured home has become one room to her as she stays in her bedroom. Her wish, her plan and her provision - was to be surrounded by Health Care Professionals who don't feel burdened, overwhelmed or afraid of this time. Dying. It's not joyous to remove her from her home. This is a deep and abiding ache.

I had marvelous counsel to avoid emotions which will be laden and burdened with all cares and thoughts. To believe myself, I've found and asked and sought the best course of action. To believe God and Trust God as my last parent goes on to Eternal Life.

In difficult times, we believe God is with us. And God loves us as we are assailed by life. I'm not going to write about this much, but I do have some powerful emotions. Pray for me and my family, please.

When Jesus slept in the boat, He was still in fellowship. Jesus heard their cries and prayers. The Spell Check always is tapping the Gospel to use more commas. Here and Here and Here, up to 20 times. The reason Scripture doesn't use commas very frequently, Theologically, the Scripture is one long Scripture Verse spoken by Father God without punctuation. To omit commas is to say Jesus doesn't place a space between you and Father God. Many of the missing commas are about the relationship of our soul to Father God.

2 Chronicles 24 ~ Proper condition and strengthen

2 Chronicles 24

Joash [spelled Jehoash in 2 Kings 12:1] was seven years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years in Jerusalem. His mother's name was Zibiah of Beersheba. And Joash did what was right in the eyes of the Lord all the days of Jehoiada the priest. Jehoiada got for him two wives, and he had sons and daughters.

After this Joash decided to restore the house of the Lord

And he gathered the priests and the Levites and said to them, “Go out to the cities of Judah and gather from all Israel money to repair the house of your God from year to year, and see that you act quickly.” But the Levites did not act quickly. So the king summoned Jehoiada the chief and said to him, “Why have you not required the Levites to bring in from Judah and Jerusalem the tax levied by Moses, the servant of the Lord, and the congregation of Israel for the tent of testimony?” For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken into the house of God, and had also used all the dedicated things of the house of the Lord for the Baals.

So the king commanded, and they made a chest and set it outside the gate of the house of the LordAnd proclamation was made throughout Judah and Jerusalem to bring in for the Lord the tax that Moses the servant of God laid on Israel in the wilderness. 10 And all the princes and all the people rejoiced and brought their tax and dropped it into the chest until they had finished [ountil it was full]. 11 And whenever the chest was brought to the king's officers by the Levites, when they saw that there was much money in it, the king's secretary and the officer of the chief priest would come and empty the chest and take it and return it to its place. Thus they did day after day, and collected money in abundance. 12 And the king and Jehoiada gave it to those who had charge of the work of the house of the Lord, and they hired masons and carpenters to restore the house of the Lord, and also workers in iron and bronze to repair the house of the Lord13 So those who were engaged in the work labored, and the repairing went forward in their hands, and they restored the house of God to its proper condition and strengthened it.

14 And when they had finished, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, and with it were made utensils for the house of the Lord, both for the service and for the burnt offerings, and dishes for incense and vessels of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the Lord regularly all the days of Jehoiada.

15 But Jehoiada grew old and full of days, and died. He was 130 years old at his death. 16 And they buried him in the city of David among the kings, because he had done good in Israel, and toward God and his house.

17 Now after the death of Jehoiada the princes of Judah came and paid homage to the king. Then the king listened to them. 18 And they abandoned the house of the Lord, the God of their fathers, and served the Asherim and the idols. And wrath came upon Judah and Jerusalem for this guilt of theirs.

19 Yet he sent prophets among them to bring them back to the Lord. These testified against them, but they would not pay attention.

20 Then the Spirit of God clothed Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, and he stood above the people, and said to them, “Thus says God, ‘Why do you break the commandments of the Lord, so that you cannot prosper? Because you have forsaken the Lord, he has forsaken you.’”

21 But they conspired against him, and by command of the king they stoned him with stones in the court of the house of the Lord22 Thus Joash the king did not remember the kindness that Jehoiada, Zechariah's father, had shown him, but killed his son. And when he was dying, he said, “May the Lord see and avenge!”

23 At the end of the year the army of the Syrians came up against Joash. They came to Judah and Jerusalem and destroyed all the princes of the people from among the people and sent all their spoil to the king of Damascus. 24 Though the army of the Syrians had come with few men, the Lord delivered into their hand a very great army, because Judah had forsaken the Lord, the God of their fathers. Thus they executed judgment on Joash.

25 When they had departed from him, leaving him severely wounded, his servants conspired against him because of the blood of the son of Jehoiada the priest, and killed him on his bed. So he died, and they buried him in the city of David, but they did not bury him in the tombs of the kings. 26 Those who conspired against him were Zabad the son of Shimeath the Ammonite, and Jehozabad the son of Shimrith the Moabite. 27 Accounts of his sons and of the many oracles against him and of the rebuilding of the house of God are written in the Story of the Book of the Kings. And Amaziah his son reigned in his place.

Relationships with the Lord.
Joash is only king with the steadfast love and righteousness of the priest Jehoiada (his great-uncle) during the reigns of Ahaziah, Athaliah, and Joash. Jehoiada proclaimed, "Only a son of David should be King." Jehoiada's wife had hidden the baby Joash from the bloody coup by the terrible queen. And Jehoiada made a covenant between himself and all the people and the king that they should be the Lord's people. Our passage continues to show Joash didn't rule the priest and this wasn't a regency taken over by the priest.

People of God work to support and bring forward other people of God.
This is the way of God.
Father God wants His Kingdom to be established. Considering all of Jehoiada's works, isn't it amazing his great righteousness and actions of courage do not rank him in the same esteem as Jonathan?

When do we, in Scriptures, we have such a mighty Name of the LORD.  The Highest Name of Jesus. We've read of Samuel, Nathan, Asaph during the times of the Kings and, later, Isaiah. Yet, Jehoiada is a mighty man of God. 2 Chronicles 23 is well worth reading about the priest who took courage.

Of Joash? And his fallen behavior we can only say -

Matthew 19:23-26
23
And Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.” 25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?” 26 But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Let us remember the great deeds of Jehoiada!

Jehoiada the priest, wasn't accidentally married. And this mission of Jehoiada to save his people from tyranny, was accomplished with his wife hiding the infant Joash. Jehoiada aids the king. By putting authority where God has defined authority. Jehoiada is making sure the king has family. Brave deeds, teaching what is right in the eyes of God. Jehoiada strengthens Joash. He makes sure the boy becomes a man surrounded by Love.

God is Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow. Paul wasn't married, Peter was. And the Brothers of Jesus going forth in ministry were married. In fact, God began marriage, very early in the Book of Genesis. Apparently, God is fond of marriage!

And when Joash is strengthened, then Joash is encouraged to do the works of God. In all of this outstanding Chapter, the motivation is Love, Family and Worship. The Light of God is Hope and Encouragement.

Hebrews 12:32-35

32 And what more shall I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets—

33 who through faith
conquered kingdoms, enforced justice, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, were made strong out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. 35 Women received back their dead by resurrection. Some were tortured, refusing to accept release, so that they might rise again to a better life.

Titus Flavius Josephus (37 – c. A.D. 100), a 1st-century Romano-Jewish historian and hagiographer of priestly and royal ancestry who recorded Jewish history. Credited by many as recording some of the earliest history of Jesus Christ outside of the gospels. His most important works were The Jewish War (c. 75 AD) and Antiquities of the Jews (c. 94 AD). Jehoiada is in his Jewish Antiquites Book 9, Chapter 7.

Romans 15:13 ~ Joy and peace in believing

My parents built our first house on a cotton farm lot.

Romans 15:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

This has been one of the most memorable weeks of my life.

Three of the best joys of good news life gives. Quickly given. Sunday, Monday. The three good news portions aren't mine to tell, or I'd say here. Monday and Tuesday were happy, happy text time.  Joy!

Then Tuesday evening, my mother's household began to sort out so much information and conflicting stories.

About Tuesday Life began to be a bee hive. My Mother is on Hospice and all things started to go downhill rapidly from the jolt in November.  One part of the information said yes and another part of the telling said no. Then a phone call screaming at me from a bathroom. Doctor's orders not followed.  A non problem became a problem of such magnitude, one couldn't escape. A complete puzzlement. Necessary and important phone calls were not returned.  Stories changed.  And a longtime trust was eroded and then a parting of ways in employee employer. We can't have screaming and changing information during the parting of a parent. But thank you for what was.

When there is conflict, don't you go back as far as possible to try to understand? I did.

I remembered my mother had a conversation about 1992 where she was well and young. The memory was clear. She was standing in a spare bedroom telling us what she wanted when her time came to age and pass on to Heaven. My mother was recollecting family passing to Heaven stories.  And she gave specific direction for her will about her final time on earth. In fact, she went out and bought long-term health care insurance. I told her this was not the time, but she was in fact adamant about not being a burden or dragged along in her final year.  We will rearrange my mother's living arrangements and care arrangements upon this conversation.  I'm filled with belief, seeing my mother in Heaven as my father saw her, 80 or more times in his dreams, she will be pleased I followed what she said when she was young and well and making financial decisions.

And I will ask God to help me hold my heart with good intentions.

And be grateful for the support of Edward, my sons and Cheryl and Dee. This is the Post I write to myself.

Today, I sat 8 or more hours in my chair dealing with end of life decisions. Retirement. Nursing Homes. Hospice help in decisions to make. One does not pussy foot around when this is your parent. I talked to 20 people today and gathered up opinions and information. And went directly back to some for more expert advice.

When Mother has gone, I will look at this Post and realize, I have researched to do what I found to be Best. I will not second guess this. Put my hope in Jesus Christ that as dust, I've done what's needed and wise to do. Won't carry regrets. As I have done as someone tossed by wind and waves.

And in this Post, I'd ask you to pray for our family where so many cross currents and winds arrived. We ask the Word of Jesus for Love and Calm. Joy. Hope. God's Mercy.

Abba, Father God,

Jesus has told us in Your Word, You are His Father and Our Father.

When two or more are gathered, You are here.
When we call on Jesus, He is here.
And in John's Gospel Chapters 16 and 17, Jesus prays for us.

When we seek You, Father God and Call upon Jesus
we always pray in Your Holy Spirit's Presence.

Even in the Book of Acts, Luke wrote of the prophets being long ago,
You are as Vast as the Heavens and a Day to you is Thousands of Years.
You are yesterday, today and tomorrow.

We turn again, that our sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of You God, our Lord, and that YOU will Jesus Christ.

Heaven will receive us to wait for the time for restoring all the things.
Knowing we live by every Word of God.

We lift up the people we love, the people You have given to us with Love.

Praying for Elliott Healing and Videos!
And Peace for Janet and Healing.

Praying Peace and calm to our Nation asking God to bless us all.
Jesus' Word for the world calling on You.
Knowing in the Power of Your Word, we are upheld.

Be with us know
and in our peaceful passing, Lord Jesus.

In Jesus the Lord. Amen.

About scripture-for-today.blogspot.com/

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

A simple blog, scripture-for-today.blogspot

This blog is pretty simple, but for a reason. This blog isn't about agenda or me, it is for the joy and love to found by reading the Scriptures. Ultimately, it is you and the Lord.

The Scriptures are Father God's letter to you. He wanted you to know more, to know He loves you.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
