We know Paul wrote Romans in Corinth because he mentions Phoebe. Phoebe was a deacon of the church in Cenchreae, a port to the east of Corinth. Erastus, mentioned in Romans 16:23,also lived in Corinth, being the city's commissioner for public works and city treasurer. Written in exactly the timeline of Paul and his travels. Within 55 AD to 57 AD.

Papyrus 46 enters the brand-new debate on verb usage and is in the University of Michigan's Library System for decades, as first century written. Clear, legible and preserved as Precious Word of God. Definitely, Papyrus 46 was being carefully transported during the long life of John, The Beloved Disciple of Jesus.

13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

John 1

48 Nathanael said to him, “How do you know me?”

Abba, Father,

Dwell in us,

Give us Your Blessing, we ask.

Psalm 31~ incline Your Ear

Psalm 31

1 In you, O LORD, do I take refuge; let me never be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me!

2 Incline your ear to me; rescue me speedily!

Be a rock of refuge for me, a strong fortress to save me! 3 For you are my rock and my fortress; and for your name's sake you lead me and guide me; 4 you take me out of the net they have hidden for me, for you are my refuge.

5 Into your hand I commit my spirit; you have redeemed me, O LORD, faithful God.

6 I hate those who pay regard to worthless idols, but I trust in the LORD. 7 I will rejoice and be glad in your steadfast love, because you have seen my affliction; you have known the distress of my soul, 8 and you have not delivered me into the hand of the enemy; you have set my feet in a broad place.

9 Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am in distress; my eye is wasted from grief; my soul and my body also.

10 For my life is spent with sorrow, and my years with sighing; my strength fails because of my iniquity, and my bones waste away. 11 Because of all my adversaries I have become a reproach, especially to my neighbors, and an object of dread to my acquaintances; those who see me in the street flee from me. 12 I have been forgotten like one who is dead; I have become like a broken vessel. 13 For I hear the whispering of many-- terror on every side!-- as they scheme together against me, as they plot to take my life.

14 But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, "You are my God."

15 My times are in your hand; rescue me from the hand of my enemies and from my persecutors! 16 Make your face shine on your servant; save me in your steadfast love! 17 O LORD, let me not be put to shame, for I call upon you; let the wicked be put to shame; let them go silently to Sheol.

18 Let the lying lips be mute, which speak insolently against the righteous in pride and contempt.

19 Oh, how abundant is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you and worked for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of the children of mankind!

20 In the cover of your presence you hide them from the plots of men;
you store them in your shelter from the strife of tongues.

21 Blessed be the LORD, for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me when I was in a besieged city. 22 I had said in my alarm, "I am cut off from your sight." But you heard the voice of my pleas for mercy when I cried to you for help.

23 Love the LORD, all you His saints!
The LORD preserves the faithful but abundantly repays the one who acts in pride.

24 Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the LORD!

To be part of the New Covenant is a Jesus bless you, always, Blessing.

In the Old Testament, a man is sent with a message from God. He is told, do not get off the path. Just give the message. And he has a problem or two, and he overcomes - delivers the message and is on his way home - when a 'man of God' stops him to have a visit in his home and the man goes because the message is delivered and the 'man of God' is helping. It was nothing of the sort. The man returns home to find he has ruined the message and voided the instructions of God. The man is condemned.

We are so Very Fortunate to be part of the New Covenant of Jesus Christ.

Deuteronomy 31:8

The LORD himself goes before you

God, in the New Covenant, has covered us in the Name of Jesus. He wants us to put Him first, but because of the Redemption of Jesus Christ, is never going to leave us. We are not ever left or forsaken, of God, for all who call on Jesus as God, believing in their heart.

Ephesians 6 addresses the reality we learned in the Vietnam War, the torturers knew you can tear people down with continual harm. It was the goal, actually. And because God is Jesus - and Jesus is the exact image of the Merciful Father - we have Refuge with Jesus -who makes all things work for good for those who love the Lord and want to work according to His Purpose.

What we learn from people like Corrie Ten Boom, for people in my family who had sudden death and sudden divorce completely change their world - we learn to let God shape our lives and get on with Life. All things work together for good, for those who work according to His purpose. Hindsight tells us, we will sometimes only see the good from far down the journey in life. We don't let evil overcome us, we search for the joy underneath, learning to have the hope again. Corrie Ten Boom just did not let evil reshape her into evil.

Preparing for Christmas, to have the joy of God entrusting us with His tender, newborn Son again.

Psalm 51:10

Create in me a clean heart, O God,

And renew a steadfast spirit

within me.

Ezekiel 36:26

Moreover, I will give you a new heart

and put a new spirit within you;

and I will remove the heart of stone

from your flesh

and give you a heart of flesh.

Deuteronomy 30:6

“Moreover

The Lord your God will circumcise your heart

and the heart of your descendants,

to love the Lord

your God

with all your heart

and with

all your soul,

so that you may live.
