John 21:24-25 ~ the books that would be written †

Beloved Billy Graham had been known to warm hearts like the Fire of Pentecost. And one of the most reassuring things Billy Graham says is: 
“I've read the last page of the Bible, it's all going to turn out all right.”


Each of the Books of the New Testament has a purpose. A deep, deep purpose to live in our only real estate in eternity. Not our brain, not our heart, not our will, in the Soul God has given us. The purpose is Lamp Lighting! The Light of mankind, The Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul writes again and again and again of the love he has for the people he ministers to. The overwhelming desire to touch a soul with love for eternity. This is the purpose of loving the God of Love.

John 21:24-25

This is the disciple who is bearing witness about these things, and who has written these things, and we know that his testimony is true.

25 Now there are also many other things that Jesus did. Were every one of them to be written, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.



John was very right.
All the books thinking of the Prince of Peace. Wonderful. Redeemer. Jesus. Making God His Father and ours.

Romans 16

25 Now to Him 

Who is able to strengthen you

according to My Gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ,

according to the revelation of the mystery 

that was kept secret for long ages

26 but has now been disclosed 

and 

through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations,

according 

to the command of the Eternal God,

to bring about the obedience of faith

To the only wise God be glory 

forevermore 

through Jesus Christ! 

Amen.

God is strengthening us with His truth.

Romans 8:38-39

For I am sure that neither death nor life,

Signs of a spiritual shift are becoming more evident in the United Kingdom as young people flock to churches in search of healing, freedom, and deliverance. In the latest evidence that the tide is turning, more than 2,000 young people gathered to seek God in an all-night prayer and worship event.

As CBN News has been reporting recently, the U.K. was a difficult place to share the Gospel for decades, but that has been changing due to what some are calling a "Quiet Revival."

"In the last 6 years, the Brits have seen identifying as a Christian and church attendance amongst 18-24 year-olds increase from 4% to 16% and amongst 25-34 year-olds from 4% to 13%!! This a part of what is being called 'The Quiet Revival' in the U.K,"  explained Dave Ferguson, lead pastor of Community church, in a post on Instagram.

Al Gordon, pastor of Saint Church, has been a part of leading a bimonthly prayer gathering in Britain that is at the forefront of this "spiritual awakening."

Just last weekend, more than 2,000 young adults packed out Saint Church's Hackney location for the all-night prayer and worship event that was marked by worship, salvations, and "deep repentance."

Gordon wrote about the remarkable night on Instagram, describing, "Extraordinary scenes: a thick and heavy sense of God's presence, dozens giving their lives to Christ, healing, freedom. I want to encourage those of you who were there to journal, record, and continue to pray without ceasing."

The doorway showing green (right by the sign that says Life, top photo) is the Nacor Gate. The man was seen not at the outer gates, but was seen within the larger walls of the Temple. The man seeking alms was deep into the Temple and well known as so lame, he was carried.

Acts 3

3 Now Peter and John were going up to the Temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. 2 And a man lame from birth was being carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple that is called the Beautiful Gate to ask alms of those entering the temple. 3 Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive alms.

4 And Peter directed his gaze at him, as did John, and said, “Look at us.”

5 And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them. 6 But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” 7 And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong.

8 And leaping up, he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 and recognized him as the one who sat at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, asking for alms. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.


11 While he clung to Peter and John, all the people, utterly astounded, ran together to them in the portico called Solomon's. 12 And when Peter saw it he addressed the people: “Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we have made him walk?

13 The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus, whom you delivered over and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him. 14 But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 and you killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead.

To this we are witnesses. 16 And his name — by faith in his name — has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.

17 “And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers. 18 But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled.

19 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, 20 that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, 21 whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.

22 Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen to him in whatever he tells you. 23 And it shall be that every soul who does not listen to that prophet shall be destroyed from the people.’ 24 And all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and those who came after him, also proclaimed these days.

25 You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.’

26 God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.”

During the Time of Jesus

The Jews have always held worship outside the Main Temple Buildings

and continue today.

Jesus and His Father prepared us days may come. Jesus had shown us in John's Gospel Chapter 5, the man on the pallet at the Bethesda Pool was not grateful. God is so Large, He shows us not all the people are good. Some are wheat, some weeds and God Loves. God is so capable - He would take a swing and a miss - tell us even today - and let His Disciples go further. God truly wants His people to go Forth.

This is the Third Chapter of The Acts of the Apostles. Chapter 3, this is so new to them. How are they to carry the Name of Jesus to the World. ~  Jesus has a plan.

Jesus said:

John 14:12

Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in Me 

will do the works I have been doing, 

and they will do even greater things than these, 

because I am going 

to the Father.

Today, 2/3rds of people in an active prayer life

say they have experienced a Miracle.

And where did they go to discuss the man being healed? The wilderness. No.

Where Jesus loved to walk when He went to the Temple. This is His place of joy.

The Portico History tells us survived the destruction of Nebuchadnezzar II and the colonnades were available to rebuild into the Temple constantly being rebuild and finally called,  incorrectly, Herod's Temple. Built by David's son - Solomon. Where we find beautiful fragments of Solomon's fine work available today.

Letters from the Jews survive today crying out what will happen to their faith? The Christians have all the Power of God with them. And the people understand God's Power and see directly - the overwhelming force of Love from the Almighty who creates All Things.

This is not 'just' a healing of someone the Temple knew by sight - this is a sign from the Living God to the men Jesus called His Own, His Friends (not servants they knew His Plans), His Brothers doing the Will of God. Father God is telling them - see - Jesus knew exactly what He was telling you. I am sure they needed to know what the Holy Spirit was doing now. I would bet you, these men went to gather together and pray and weep - this is another fulfilling Word of Jesus the Lord!

Colossians 2:7 

Rooted and built up in Him

 and 

established in the faith,

 just as you were taught, 

abounding 

in 

thanksgiving

Faith. Stay in Faith.
