Hebrews 9 ~ An earthly place of Holiness

Papyrus 46 Hebrews 9 within two or three generations of the life of Jesus

Hebrews 9

Now even the first covenant had regulations for worship and an earthly place of holiness. 2 For a tent was prepared, the first section, in which were the lampstand and the table and the bread of the Presence.

Arch of Titus - The Gold Temple Tools would build the Roman Coliseum. These were the Temple Tools made by Moses and Solomon and returned by God prodding Cyrus King of Persia to return the people and the Tools and reestablish Israel. (There is No Ark. Maccabees 6 records Jeremiah was provided access to the Ark to hide it until God would restore it from Mount Nebo where Moses was to watch the Children of Israel go into the Promised Land.)

It is called the Holy Place.

3 Behind the second curtain was a second section
called the Most Holy Place, 4 having the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron's staff that budded, and the tablets of the covenant. 5
Above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing
the mercy seat.

Of these things we cannot now speak in detail.

6 These preparations having thus been made, the priests go regularly into the first section, performing their ritual duties,

Luke 1 Zechariah and the Annunciation from God as told to him from the Angel Gabriel.

7 but into the second only the high priest goes, and he but once a year, and not without taking blood, which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people. 8 By this the Holy Spirit indicates that the way into the holy places is not yet opened as long as the first section is still standing 9 (which is symbolic for the present age).[ According to this arrangement, gifts and sacrifices are offered that cannot perfect the conscience of the worshiper, 10 but deal only with food and drink and various washings, regulations for the body imposed until the time of reformation.

The Ark of the Covenant never did dwell in the Second Temple. The return of the Babylon Slaves began by throwing out the Remnant caring for the ruins and worshiping God. Jesus went to Samaria, the woman at the well in John's Holy Gospel to tell of His Divinity. The old system was rules and schedules and animal slaughter. Jesus proclaims in His Sacrifice the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Eternity and bringing Heaven to our lives - is Now. Making our prayer to Father God waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up there, but we can say with Jesus, "Father, the 12 open Pearl gates are right here, Your Throne right here, in confidence, I offer my prayer to the One Who Loves Me Most. And ask in Confidence, Jesus has covered me with His Name. Amen."

11 But when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent (not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) 12 he entered once for all into the holy places,

Ephesians records Father God fills the Heavens. It is written Jesus has seen all of the Heavens. And if asked, dwells in every cell, every thought and every decision we will make - Father God likes to be invited again and again to know we throw open our doors as He keeps open the 12 Gates of Heaven. Always.

not by means of the blood of goats and calves
but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works
to serve the living God!

15 Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant,
so that those who are called
may receive the promised eternal inheritance,
since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant. 16 For where a will is involved, the death of the one who made it must be established. 17 For a will takes effect only at death, since it is not in force as long as the one who made it is alive.

18 Therefore not even the first covenant was inaugurated without blood. 19 For when every commandment of the law had been declared by Moses to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20 saying, “This is the blood of the covenant that God commanded for you.” 21 And in the same way he sprinkled with the blood both the tent and all the vessels used in worship. 22 Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and
without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins.

23 Thus it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these rites, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

24 For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.

25 Nor was it to offer himself repeatedly, as the high priest enters the holy places every year with blood not his own, 26 for then he would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world.

But as it is, he has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment, 28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.

Father God! You have said! The 12 open Pearl gates are right here, Your Throne right here, in confidence, I offer my prayer to the One Who Loves Me Most.

I Thank You for my eyesight continuing to recover from cataract surgery. I can see from my eye for the first time in six years and this week I read with my eye for the First Time. My vision continues to improve. Thank You, Father!

I lift up Edward for Your Mercy, Edward continues to find each day - something good and pleasant. Help him have Life Abundant - what we all pray for ourselves and our children and our parents and when we know Jesus - to have an easy call to be at Home with You.

I lift up the widows I have spoken to recently and the adult children who have had parents go Home to Jesus. We love Father God and He has provided for us a Great Reunion - Ephesians 3 tells us Families LIVE in Heaven together.

We lift up the people who You have Given to us to pray for each day, knowing God Lives in their Soul. Grant them help with the Prayers they have asked us to Pray for. We ask Your blessings on the ones we love. AND THANK YOU GOD FOR ANSWERED PRAYER DAILY!

We Lift up our Nation and look with Expectation for Good News.
We ask in Confidence, Jesus has covered me with His Name. Amen.

Hebrews 8 ~ Declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

Hebrews 8

Now the main point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, 2 and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by a mere human being.

3 Every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, and so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer. 4 If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, for there are already priests who offer the gifts prescribed by the law. 5 They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: “See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” 6 But in fact the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, since the new covenant is established on better promises.

7 For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another. 8 But God found fault with the people and said:

“The days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will make a new covenant
with the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
9
It will not be like the covenant
I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
because they did not remain faithful to my covenant,
and I turned away from them,
declares the Lord.

This is the covenant I will establish with the people of Israel
after that time, declares the Lord.
I will put my laws in their minds
and write them on their hearts.
I will be their God,
and they will be my people.

No longer will they teach their neighbor,
or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’
because they will all know me,
from the least of them to the greatest.

For I will forgive their wickedness
and will remember their sins no more.”

By calling this covenant “new,” he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and outdated will soon disappear.

No better explanation was needed why Paul left the Temple to proclaim the Salvation of Jesus.

My son had a talk in 8th grader - his friend is Jewish. He asked Cal to give him biblical proofs of the Old Testament tell of Jesus Christ. His Jewish friend said this is not time to talk up Jesus, just get out the Bible and show him the Old Testament. So my son had been given 100 Proofs of Jesus that week in Youth Group and got out the list and showed his friend.

His friend said that it would kill his father, so when his father was dead, he now knew Jesus is the Lord and when his father died, he would attend the Christian Church. He said that the whole Temple sits in Yom Kippur and this is the saddest day of the year. Do they ever know if their sorrow was forgiven?

For the sin that we have committed under stress or through choice;
For the sin that we have committed in stubbornness or in error;
For the sin that we have committed in the evil meditations of the heart;
For the sin that we have committed by word of mouth;
For the sin that we have committed through abuse of power;
For the sin that we have committed by exploitation of neighbors;
For all these sins, O God of forgiveness, bear with us, pardon us, forgive us!

He said that for weeks afterward everyone is sad. And they had discussed if was because animal sacrifice ended at the time of Jesus' natural death. But still there is tremendous guilt. Very sad for good people trying to reach God.

This is the Scriptures saying why Rabbi Lycanthra of Lystra, Israel has his letters exist from 2 millenniums - they state his mourning the Book of Acts happening right there around him, Rabbi Lycanthra is proclaiming, with fear and sorrow, he worries the end of Judaism with the miracles of Jesus.

Jesus Christ is alive today and working.

Father God,
~ You change hearts and lives the way You brought water into the best wine.
~ People of faith expect Your Word to heal, and You do this.
~ Women who were in sick beds get up and attend to You, Father God, happily.
~ Men who hope for prosperity are overwhelmed with what You catch.
~ When Jesus is asked if He is kind enough to heal, Jesus not only proclaims healing but of His eagerness to restore.
~ Jesus tells us our bodies and our minds and our sins are connected and Jesus forgives us.
~ People grab hold of Jesus so earnestly, they are content with the fringe of His coat and then they must speak up why they would hold on to Jesus. No one this close to Jesus comes away unhealed.
~ Jesus takes what a boy hands him and creates a miraculous wonder debated for two millenniums.
~ Jesus tells us as He wants to save the world in His Sacrifice and knows 10 lepers where healed and only one turned back to give thanks.
~ Jesus is about to die and He reaches forth to heal his enemies and give them the opportunity to Hear.
~ Jesus goes with the people overwhelmed with fear and present circumstance and creates calm and peace.
~ Jesus tells us He would never leave or forsake us and He shows His Disciples His True Path in Ascending. Telling us that 2 millenniums later this is the Truth, Way and Life.

Father God, when we worry, we can wrap our arms around You. You will always care for us and be Steadfast. We thank You, You hear all prayers and we look for the mysteries in this life - Your answers will be held Up as Heaven removes our worries and we Live with You now and always. We ask for Your blessings, for ourselves, the ones we love and this Nation. In Jesus, who has done the work of atonement between Father God and mankind. Amen.

Hebrews 7 ~ You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek

Papyrus 46 Hebrews 7 within two or three generations of the life of Jesus
Title of Work Epistles of Paul - Hebrews Chapter 7
\mathfrak{P}46 Papyrus 46 is 300 Chapters of the New Testament - Found Intact and exactly as shown. Owned by the University of Michigan

1880s Mount of Olives overlooking the Temple in Jerusalem. More like from the time of Jesus.

Hebrews 7

This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, 2 and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek means “king of righteousness”; then also, “king of Salem” means “king of peace.” 3 Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever.

4 Just think how great he was: Even the patriarch Abraham gave him a tenth of the plunder! 5 Now the law requires the descendants of Levi who become priests to collect a tenth from the people—that is, from their fellow Israelites—even though they also are descended from Abraham. 6 This man, however, did not trace his descent from Levi, yet he collected a tenth from Abraham and blessed him who had the promises.

7 And without doubt the lesser is blessed by the greater. 8 In the one case, the tenth is collected by people who die; but in the other case, by him who is declared to be living.

9 One might even say that Levi, who collects the tenth, paid the tenth through Abraham, 10 because when Melchizedek met Abraham, Levi was still in the body of his ancestor.

11 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron?

12 For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also.

13 He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, and no one from that tribe has ever served at the altar.

14 For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. 15 And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, 16 one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life. 17 For it is declared:

“You are a priest forever,
in the order of Melchizedek.”

18 The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless 19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.

20 And it was not without an oath! Others became priests without any oath, 21 but he became a priest with an oath when God said to him:

“The Lord has sworn
and will not change his mind:
‘You are a priest forever.’”

22 Because of this oath, Jesus has become the guarantor of a better covenant.

23 Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; 24 but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. 25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

26 Such a high priest truly meets our need—one who is holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. 27 Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself. 28 For the law appoints as high priests men in all their weakness; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.

Father God has loved Aaron and his descendants:

Aaron
Eleazar, son of Aaron (Numbers 20:28
)
Phinehas, son of Eleazar
Abishua, son of Phinehas
The Samaritans insert Shesha as the son of Abishua and father of Bukki.[citation needed]
Bukki, son of Abishua
Uzzi, son of Bukki

Though Phinehas and his descendants are not directly attested as high priests, this portion of the genealogy given in I Chronicles 5:30-41
is assumed by other sources (including Josephus [2] and Seder 'Olam Zutta), to give the succession of the office from father to son. At some time, the office was transferred from descendants of Eleazar to those of his brother Itamar.[3] The first known and most notable high priest of Itamar's line was Eli, a contemporary of Samuel.

Eli, descendant of Ithamar, son of Aaron
Ahitub, son of Phinehas and grandson of Eli
Ahijah, son of Ahitub
Ahimelech, son of Ahijah
Abiathar, son of Ahimelech

The former regulation is set aside because it was weak and useless, for the law made nothing perfect, and a better hope is introduced, by which we draw near to God.

Jesus Christ - Lion of the Tribe of Judah - not a Levite
God’s power.
God’s wisdom
A mystery - for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

“What no eye has seen,
what no ear has heard,
and what no human mind has conceived”—
the things God has prepared for those who love him—

These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

Holy, blameless, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens. 27 Unlike the other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices day after day, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people.

He sacrificed for their sins once for all when he offered himself.  For the law appoints as high priests men in all their weakness; but the oath, which came after the law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.

Father God, Bless those who work for Peace and Healing. Father God extend all who would treat Respect with Goodness. We ask You to equip us to do Your Good Work. In Jesus shine Your Light upon those Loving and Kind to each other. We ask Your Blessings Upon our Nation. In Jesus. Amen.

Hebrews 6 ~ Beloved, we feel sure of better things

Title of Work Epistles of Paul - Hebrews Chapter 6
\mathfrak{P}46 Papyrus 46 is 300 Chapters of the New Testament - Found Intact and exactly as shown. Owned by the University of Michigan

Hebrews 6

Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from acts that lead to death.

And of faith in God, 2 and of instruction about washings,[Baptism] the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And this we will do if God permits.

4 For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, 6 and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt. 7 For land that has drunk the rain that often falls on it, and produces a crop useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God. 8 But if it bears thorns and thistles, it is worthless and near to being cursed, and its end is to be burned.

9 Though we speak in this way, yet in your case, beloved, we feel sure of better things—things that belong to salvation.

10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love that you have shown for his name in serving the saints, as you still do.

11 And we desire each one of you to show the same earnestness to have the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 so that you may not be sluggish, but imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

13 For when God made a promise to Abraham, since he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore by himself, 14 saying, “Surely I will bless you and multiply you.”

15 And thus Abraham, having patiently waited, obtained the promise.

16 For people swear by something greater than themselves, and in all their disputes an oath is final for confirmation.

17 So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath,
18 so that by two unchangeable things,
in which it is impossible for God to lie,
we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.

19 We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain, 20 where Jesus has gone as a forerunner on our behalf, having become a high priest forever after the order of Melchizedek.

Why did Paul leave the Jews if he wished himself accursed if this would lead to them accepting the Salvation of Jesus?

Paul saw the Old rituals the Jews repeated as not giving them the relationship with Jesus Christ. No longer did Paul see animal sacrifice as giving the Mercy of God. Instead Baptism invites the Holy Spirit to make the believer the Temple of God.

I would guess Paul saw Jews becoming Christians and slipping back into Jewish customs to appease their family and neighbors. This type of behavior led Paul in the not-very-Jesus move of condemning Peter in front of the assembly about circumcision. (Scriptures tell us we should address our concerns privately before publicly.) Paul must have found this slipping between Judaism and Christianity as grievous.

Paul later saw gentiles act as if Jesus was a waiter to just hand out freebie and cheap grace. Paul calls this working against Salvation.

The Scriptures are Living and Active telling us to hold our Salvation dear to us. To act as if Salvation is important to us in our daily lives. To assure others when we sincerely believe they live in His Salvation Promises. And to remember we need this strong encouragement daily. Never fail to expect Jesus to fulfill all His Promises to us.

Paul is telling us - Run this Race. Life has winding effects. The reference to Abraham's patience tells us the road is long. Not to waiver or falter from these Promises from our Father God of Profound Love, Forever. God gives His Very Word. Expect God to do these Promises Completely.

Father God, Your Hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. You show Your love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Your Love, Father God is genuine. Help us to give honor and show affection. Beloved, let us love one another, for love fulfills the law. We will pray for one another. We will work not to grieve one another.

Father God, Your Promises are so Large, we are unprepared for Your Glory beyond our imaginings. With Your Love, we will be built up.

Father God, You know us so well. Our Scriptures end with the Book of Life. You are Love and help us to live Your Plan and to encourage us and our Loved Ones. Help us to be fishers of mankind to know Your Love.  You are for us. Bless this Nation to Love and Serve You. In Jesus. Amen.

Hebrews 5 ~ The elementary Truths of God’s Word

Papyrus 46 is dated between the first Century and 175 A.D. This is Hebrews 5 and is very, very intact and legible. House and owned by the University of Michigan.

Hebrews 5

Every high priest is selected from among the people and is appointed to represent the people in matters related to God, to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins. 2 He is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness. 3 This is why he has to offer sacrifices for his own sins, as well as for the sins of the people. 4 And no one takes this honor on himself, but he receives it when called by God, just as Aaron was.

5 In the same way, Christ did not take on himself the glory of becoming a high priest. But God said to him,

“You are my Son;
today I have become your Father.”

6 And he says in another place,

“You are a priest forever,
in the order of Melchizedek.”

7 During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. 8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him 10 and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

11 We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. 12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.

Work today goes on at the Temple Mount sifting for artifacts.  The Report written by Charles Warren, the Detective on the Jack the Ripper Case - and his eyewitness accounts of being under the Temple Mount - are amazing. Charles Warren's Letters from the expedition would be published later as a journal, in 1870.

Mount Moriah means "Ordained considered by the LORD." The mountain ranges of Genesis and where Abraham was going to kill Isaac. Which is an unusual choice for a Temple location given that God was so impressed with Abraham's willingness to confront the Lord God Almighty of All Creation to argue to help save people from destruction. (My opinion here is: Father God had hurt feelings Abraham didn't argue and say, "I expect Mercy of You. You are God. You are responsible for Life being upheld and when You withdraw, we will fall into Your hand!") This is where the Temple was placed and the Ark of the Covenant was God's Mercy Seat. Where God saved Abraham and Isaac and they were Grateful.

Paul had know several High Priests quite well in his career of choice - climbing up the career ladder of working as an Official in the Temple. Of all the people writing the New Testament - Paul is the most able to explain about a High Priest.

Paul also would know very well about the maturity of Spiritual Journeys. He was in all fervor as he went to Damascus to persecute more Christians about believing Jesus Christ. Paul would have said he was in maturity to do this investigation of Christians.

What High Priest would Paul have based this Compassionate not Glory Seeking High Priest? Surely not Paul. He knew and admitted he was seeking self glory in striking Christians down.

Paul was telling us about what Paul knew in Good High Priests - Gamaliel !

Acts 5:33-39

When they heard this, they were furious and wanted to put them to death. 34 But a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was honored by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered that the men be put outside for a little while.

35 Then he addressed the Sanhedrin: “Men of Israel, consider carefully what you intend to do to these men. 36 Some time ago Theudas appeared, claiming to be somebody, and about four hundred men rallied to him. He was killed, all his followers were dispersed, and it all came to nothing. 37 After him, Judas the Galilean appeared in the days of the census and led a band of people in revolt. He too was killed, and all his followers were scattered. 38 Therefore, in the present case I advise you: Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. 39 But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”

Acts 22:3-8

Then Paul said: “I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city. I studied under Gamaliel and was thoroughly trained in the law of our ancestors. I was just as zealous for God as any of you are today. 4 I persecuted the followers of this Way to their death, arresting both men and women and throwing them into prison, 5 as the high priest and all the Council can themselves testify. I even obtained letters from them to their associates in Damascus, and went there to bring these people as prisoners to Jerusalem to be punished.

6 “About noon as I came near Damascus, suddenly a bright light from heaven flashed around me. 7 I fell to the ground and heard a voice say to me, ‘Saul! Saul! Why do you persecute me?’

8 “‘Who are you, Lord?’ I asked.

“ ‘I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting,’ he replied.

Jesus and His Love - Changed the Heart and the journey of Paul.

Gamaliel represents the people in matters related to God. Gamaliel is able to deal gently with those who are ignorant and are going astray, since he himself is subject to weakness. This is why he has to offer mercy sacrifices for sins. Gamaliel takes no honor on himself, but he receives a call for Peace and Wisdom when called by God, just as Aaron was.

Because of Gamaliel's actions and words of God -
Gamaliel's words have gone forth for Millenniums.  He is a Priest Forever.
Ephesians 3 says God names us. Consider all the messenger's of God are Michael, Gabriel, Raphael. Gamaliel.
El - means messenger of God.

Acts 5
2 Now many signs and wonders were regularly done among the people by the hands of the apostles. And they were all together in Solomon's Portico. 13 None of the rest dared join them, but the people held them in high esteem. 14 And more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats.

What would Paul have witnessed safely as an Official of the Temple?

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions

Jesus was heard because of His reverent submission.

Paul probably saw something of this(perhaps part of his Jewish trials), but not the death of Jesus to avoid contamination at Passover. Paul might have been in the Temple the day multitudes arrived to talk about Jesus and Gamaliel was called to speak -

Son though He was, He learned obedience from what He suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him

and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

What was Paul's reaction to Jesus being Mercy each day over Sacrifice and Law?

We have much to say about this,
but it is hard to make it clear to Paul because Paul no longer tried to understand.

In fact, though by this time we understand this 2 millenniums later,

Paul needed someone to teach Paul the elementary truths of God’s word all over again.

Paul needed milk, not solid food!

Paul thought he was a teacher of Israel and was still an infant.

Paul was not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. Worship of Spirit and Truth.

Paul was not in constant use of training himself to distinguish good from evil. Love the Lord with All Your Heart. Love others as yourself - on this hang All the Law and the Prophets.

1 John 4
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.

13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

Who had planted seeds in Paul to have comprehension for meeting Jesus?

Gamaliel. The Mishnah, the Talmud, records Gamaliel held a senior position in the highest court in Jerusalem. "Since Rabban Gamaliel the Elder died, there has been no more reverence for the law, and purity and piety died out at the same time."

Gamaliel's family name has been confirmed by archaeological findings. In a tomb in the catacombs of Beth-Shearim, near the Sea of Galilee, in a section called the Tomb of the Patriarchs, one of the graves has an inscription in Hebrew and Greek: “This [tomb] is of the Rabbi Gamaliel.” The Gamaliel of Bible fame was the first of an illustrious rabbinic family bearing his name. This tomb was that of one of his descendants.

The historian Josephus describes Gamaliel as a benevolent and brilliant man. William Barclay adds: “He was a kindly man with a far wider tolerance than his fellows. He was, for instance, one of the very few Pharisees who did not regard Greek culture as sinful. He was one of the very few to whom the title 'Rabban' had been given. Men called him 'The Beauty of the Law.'

Father God, Paul was always seeking first the Kingdom of God. Not always correctly. However these things were given and added up to You. In Jesus Christ, what is old has passed away and we are Your new creation.

Some things are mystery, Jesus Christ in us is our hope of Your Glory. In our toil and struggle, work mightily in us in Jesus Christ the Lord. In Jesus all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. In Jesus, we find our peace. Where the Fullness of God is pleased to dwell.

In Profound Gratitude. In our Greatest of all Thanksgivings.
Jesus does not condemn, and does intercede for all of His Beloved. Nothing of tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword will separate us from the Love Jesus Christ brings forth.

In Jesus we are conquerors through Father God, who loves us.

Father God, You are profoundly sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Father God, bless us and equip us to do all Good Works You have prepared for us. I ask Your blessings mightily and deeply and profoundly. Let these blessings overflow to the ones we love. And for the people You have placed in our lives. For this Nation to still believe and trust in You. In Jesus the Lord. Amen.

Hebrews - The Fourth Chapter. Papyrus 46 is 300 Chapters of the New Testament - Found Intact and exactly as shown. The dating debate is between the first Century and 175 A.D. One source of debate is \mathfrak{P}46 uses an extensive and well-developed system of nomina sacra (saying this is 2nd century) however since the exact provenance of the nomina sacra system itself is not well-established. Therefore we can safely say, the 300 intact chapters date between the first and the second century A.D.

Hebrews 4

Therefore, while the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us fear lest any of you should seem to have failed to reach it. 2 For good news came to us just as to them, but the message they heard did not benefit them, because they were not united by faith with those who listened. 3 For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said,

“As I swore in my wrath,
‘They shall not enter my rest,’”

although his works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For he has somewhere spoken of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works.” 5 And again in this passage he said,

“They shall not enter my rest.”

6 Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly received the good news failed to enter because of disobedience, 7 again he appoints a certain day, “Today,” saying through David so long afterward, in the words already quoted,

“Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts.”

8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken of another day later on. 9 So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, 10 for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his.

11 Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. 12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

14 Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Jesus Your Name is Power
Sits on Heavens Mercy Seat

Jesus is our Joshua, Yeshua. Jesus, Son of God, our Savior, our Hero tells us we can fully rest in Him.
In confidence, we approach Jesus.

Why would Paul be interested in Hebrews? This explains to us the depths of Paul's love to the people he explains Jesus Christ as Savior to.

Romans 9
I am speaking the truth in Christ—I am not lying; my conscience bears me witness in the Holy Spirit— 2 that I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were accursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my brothers,a my kinsmen according to the flesh. 4 They are Israelites, and to them belong the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises. 5 To them belong the patriarchs, and from their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ, who is God over all, blessed forever. Amen.

How would we be cut off from His rest?

One would be not to seek Father God. To rest on our own merits and not worship Father God on the Sabbath. One of the "- God" billboards (lovingly unidentified other than God!) says like Father God says, "Bring the Children to my House on Sunday."

We need to be filled on the Sabbath. We understand physical hunger with growling stomachs.

Galatians 5 tells us Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

This is part of God's freedom and why we set out to Worship God every Sunday.

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.

if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

We are set free from the Law and in Jesus we still need to be fed with Worship. Every Sabbath.

The Point of Hebrew's 4.

What will God's Worship tell us? What His Promises encompass!

Jesus as God - fills the Heavens!!!  He has seen all of His Vast Creation.
To be kind hearted. Not hard hearted.
The Sabbath was made for man - to Rest in Jesus.

Believe in your Salvation in Jesus.
For we who have believed enter His rest, as He has said.
Eternity has begun for us adopted by the Grace of Jesus.

Obedient to the Word of God, living and active.
God fully knows and understands our thoughts.
Expect Grace from Jesus at our weaknesses, as sympathy. This would be why Father God ran to His Child as we could not aspire to be God.

God told us He is available at midnight, when others are asleep in their beds. He comes to us when we are seeking Him earnestly.

And because of this transparency and relationship - we know only Jesus is without sin.

Let us, with confidence, draw near to the Throne of Grace, where our Father sits.

We can with expectation of Jesus' Promises, receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Father God,
We Believe in the Lord Jesus, and we know we are saved-- Continue Your Mercy to our household and our loved ones.

We believe fully, Jesus is Lord. We believe in our hearts that You, Father God, raised up Your Son Jesus from the dead. We believe Your Promise of Salvation has arrived.

As we believe, so this will be done for us, according to Your Word. Yes Lord, we believe You are able.

We fully want Your Plan and Path, forgive us when we stray, please in the Name of Jesus. We will not fear, only believe. All things are possible in Jesus.

In the Name of Jesus the Lord, blessed are we who believe there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken from the Lord. We in knowing Jesus, ask the blessings for our Loved Ones, our neighbors, coworkers, Church Family and our Nation. In Jesus. Amen.

About Me

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
