Exodus 20:1-24 ~ God spoke all these words

Exodus 6:6
Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, 'I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.

Exodus 14:21
Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD swept the sea back by a strong east wind all night and turned the sea into dry land, so the waters were divided.

Exodus 15:8
By the blast of your breath the waters piled up. The surging waters stood up like a wall; the deep waters congealed in the heart of the sea.

Exodus 20:1-24

1 And God spoke all these words,
saying,
2 "I am the LORD your God,
who brought you out of the land of Egypt,
out of the house of slavery.

3 "You shall have no other gods before me. 4 "You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments. 7 "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.

8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

12 "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you. 13 "You shall not murder. 14 "You shall not commit adultery. 15 "You shall not steal. 16 "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 17 "You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor's."

18 Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid and trembled, and they stood far off 19 and said to Moses, "You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die."

20 Moses said to the people, "Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin." 21 The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was.

22 And the LORD said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the people of Israel: 'You have seen for yourselves that I have talked with you from heaven. 23 You shall not make gods of silver to be with me, nor shall you make for yourselves gods of gold. 24 An altar of earth you shall make for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your oxen. In every place where I cause my name to be remembered, I will come to you and bless you.

This is part of the Bible we all are familiar with.

God begins His Word with Creation and soon the Children of God have Exodus. Creation to Exodus. God is not subtle.

And then again - Jesus took the deaf man aside from the crowds. He explained, so a deaf man would understand.

Mark 7:31-

31 Then he returned from the region of Tyre and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, in the region of the Decapolis. 32 And they brought to him a man who was deaf and had a speech impediment, and they begged him to lay his hand on him. 33 And taking him aside from the crowd privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and after spitting touched his tongue. 34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” 35 And his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly
.

1 Kings 19:12
After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper.

The whole of the subtle passage is this:

11 So He said, "Go forth and stand on the mountain before the LORD." And behold, the LORD was passing by! And a great and strong wind was rending the mountains and breaking in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind. And after the wind an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. 12 After the earthquake a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of a gentle blowing. 13 When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entrance of the cave. And behold, a voice came to him and said

The words include : So - behold - great strong - after - wind - earthquake - fire - gentle blowing - a voice of God came to Elijah

We are told of the Great Strength of Father God.

Father and Almighty God Creator of All Things. Maker of the Heavens and of the earth. Father of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. His Desire is to save the world in Jesus Christ.

Father God's elevator is going to have to press the down button and wait quite a long time to meet us eye to eye. And Our God arrives to be mercy and grace upon grace.

Where is the gentle whisper here?

Matthew 10:29
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.

Ezekiel 1:10
Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a human being, and on the right side each had the face of a lion,
and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle.

Revelation 4:7
The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle.

The Old Testament God of yesterday, today and tomorrow:

Deuteronomy 25:4
Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain.

1 Timothy 5:18
For Scripture says, "Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain," and "The worker deserves his wages."

Proverbs 12:10
Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.

Right before mankind was created:

Genesis 1
24 Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so. 25 God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good.

Moses tells us Life is a Test.

A Test. Verse appropriately in Exodus 20:20. Probably not a mere coincidence.

The Sacrifice of an Oxen is not a small thing. Blood will flow. The Sacrifice is meant to cause repentance. The Oxen is meant to be missed and mourned. Sacrifice.

Isaiah 55
8"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," declares the LORD. 9"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.

10"For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater,."

Process. Just like the display of time in the process of the Prodigal Son.

Abba, Holy and Good Father,

2 Timothy 2:22
Pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart.

2 Samuel 12
The poor man had nothing but one little ewe lamb, which he had bought. And he brought it up, and it grew up with him and with his children. It used to eat of his morsel and drink from his cup and lie in his arms, and it was like a daughter to him.

Tenderly like Jesus.

John 8
When they heard it, they went away one by one, beginning with the older ones, and Jesus was left alone with the woman standing before him. 10 Jesus stood up and said to her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more.”

Father, who would dare to add another Commandment to Your Word?

Our Lord God - Jesus Son of God.

John 13:34
"A new command I give you: Love one another.

As I have loved you, so you must love one another."

Abba, fill us with Love. We Pray for those we Love. The people You have given us. The Nation. The Believers of today. The Believers of Tomorrow.

1 John 3
18 Little children, let us love not in word and speech, but in action and truth.

19 And by this we will know that we belong to the truth, and will assure our hearts in His presence

Love - You are able to do more than we ask or imagine. More Heaven on earth. Your will be done in Jesus Christ.

Amen.

Psalm 126 ~ Shouts of Joy

Jesus Laughing

Psalm 126

When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dream.
2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
and our tongue with shouts of joy;
then they said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
3 The Lord has done great things for us;
we are glad.

4 Restore our fortunes, O Lord,
like streams in the Negeb!
5 Those who sow in tears
shall reap with shouts of joy!
6 He who goes out weeping,
bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
bringing his sheaves with him.

Have a heart than never hardens, & a temper that never tires, and a touch that never hurts. - Charles Dickens

Where are the verses about God laughing?

Numbers 6
May God lift up His Countenance upon you!
(Smile, beam with laughter and joy!)

Proverbs 8:23-31

Ages ago I was set up,
at the first, before the beginning of the earth.
24 When there were no depths I was brought forth,
when there were no springs abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains had been shaped,
before the hills, I was brought forth,
26 before he had made the earth with its fields,
or the first of the dust of the world.
27 When he established the heavens, I was there;
when he drew a circle on the face of the deep,
28 when he made firm the skies above,
when he established the fountains of the deep,
29 when he assigned to the sea its limit,
so that the waters might not transgress his command,
when he marked out the foundations of the earth,

30 then I was beside him, like a master workman,
and

I was daily his delight,
rejoicing
before him always,
31 rejoicing in his inhabited world
and delighting in the children of man.

Luke 15:4-6

“What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’

Nehemiah 8:10
Then he said to them, “Go your way. Eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, for this day is holy to our Lord. And do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Job 8:20-21

“Behold, God will not reject a blameless man,
nor take the hand of evildoers.
He will yet fill your mouth with laughter,
and your lips with shouting.

Psalm 19:8

the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes

2 Samuel 6:14

David, wearing a linen ephod, danced before the LORD with all his might!

1 Kings 1:39-41

There Zadok the priest took the horn of oil from the tent and anointed Solomon. Then they blew the trumpet, and all the people said, “Long live King Solomon!” 40 And all the people went up after him, playing on pipes, and rejoicing with great joy, so that the earth was split by their noise.

41 Adonijah and all the guests who were with him heard it as they finished feasting. And when Joab heard the sound of the trumpet, he said, “What does this uproar in the city mean?”

Matthew 12:18
Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.

88 Times Joy is used in the New Testament.

Matthew 13:20
The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy.

Matthew 13:44
The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

Luke 2:10
But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people."

Luke 10:17
The seventy-two returned with joy

Luke 10:21
At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do."

Luke 19:37
When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen.

Luke 24:41
And while they still did not believe it because of joy and amazement, he asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

Luke 24:52
Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.

John 16:20
Very truly I tell you, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.

Colossians 2:5
For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ.

Revelation 19:1
After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out:

“Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God!

John 16:24
Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

And with God's Joy - I can do this and know this as a Beloved of Jesus, our Father and the Holy Spirit:

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Job 37:5
God thunders wondrously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend.

Psalm 71:21
You will increase my greatness and comfort me again.

Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Father God,
We praise You for Your goodness and delight.
We ask for the blessing of more of the fruit of Your Holy Spirit and the increase of Joy and Love and Peace.

For us, our loved ones, Your Loved Ones and all of Creation.

In Jesus. Amen.

Psalm 91:3 ~ He will rescue you from every snare of the Fowler and protect you from deadly disease

Psalm 91:3

For he will rescue you from every snare of the Fowler and protect you from deadly disease.

1 Kings 8

If they pray toward this place and acknowledge your name and turn from their sin, when you afflict them, 36 then hear in heaven and forgive the sin of your servants, your people Israel, when you teach them the good way in which they should walk, and grant rain upon your land, which you have given to your people as an inheritance.

37“If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence or blight or mildew or locust or caterpillar, if their enemy besieges them in the land at their gates,b whatever plague, whatever sickness there is, 38 whatever prayer, whatever plea is made by any man or by all your people Israel, each knowing the affliction of his own heart and stretching out his hands toward this house, 39 then hear in heaven your dwelling place and forgive and act and render to each whose heart you know, according to all his ways (for you, you only, know the hearts of all the children of mankind), 40 that they may fear you all the days that they live in the land that you gave to our fathers.

Amazing - the day The Temple of God was opened for worship...

That Many Glorious Promises of God!

And Jesus said the Good Shepherd leaves the 99, to find the one lost sheep. It's pretty awesomely set up to - - - be pretty risky. The Prayer of Solomon to put the Mercy Seat of God - Ark of the Covenant - All the Promises of God Himself in the Temple of God.

How did all of that Blessing turn out for Solomon - chosen son of King David. Well, we know Solomon ran off with worldly success. And yet, we find out Solomon went to the high places, shamans, all Solomon could think of - just turned himself inside out - to get God to speak to him. And God did not speak.
God had already spoken.
Yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Solomon turned again to the Lord, repented and let God be God. As God directed.

God tells us of important things. Jesus loved to teach. When Jesus was teaching, Jesus' preferred place -in His Jerusalem Temple - to teach in the Portico of Solomon. When Nebuchadnezzar II ransacked the Temple, The Portico of "Solomon"  was spared. Too Beautiful to harm.

Second Temple of God in Jerusalem.

We find the Promises of God are like Jesus taking a nap on the boat the day of the Incredible Storm. Well within the Hand, the Will and the Abilities of God.

The Incredible Promises are given during the Time of Solomon? We have just seen with our eyes, a Pillar of Solomon. We witness the renewal of the Promises of God. Every day.

Habakkuk 2:3
For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.

Psalm 27:14
Wait for the Lord;
be strong,
and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!

Lamentations 3:25-26
The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul who seeks him.

It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

Abraham pleased God with Faith.

Faith can move a Mountain.

Our Father will increase our faith.

Our Father,

Who is in Heaven,

Holy is Your Name.

Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be Done.
On earth, as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day,
Our Daily and Living Bread,

Lead us not into temptation,
deliver us from evil.

For Thine is the Kingdom,
the Power
and the Glory.

In the Highest Name of Jesus.

Amen.

Ephesians 3 ~ Strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being

Narnia - expresses a truth to be seen with fresh eyes.

Memorial Day... God's Eternal Home

Being the new Lion. Baby Lion.

Ephesians 3:
14... for this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 1 6I pray that out of the riches of His glory, He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being.

1 Thessalonians 1:5
Because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power,
with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction.
You know how we lived among you for your sake.

What age will we be in Heaven? I suppose the Lord our Father God will suggest wisely. Heaven has children and the aged.

Zechariah 8

Thus says the LORD: I have returned to Zion and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem, and Jerusalem shall be called the faithful city, and the mountain of the LORD of hosts, the holy mountain.

4 Thus says the LORD of hosts: Old men and old women shall again sit in the streets of Jerusalem, each with staff in hand because of great age. 5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets. 6 Thus says the LORD of hosts: If it is marvelous in the sight of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my sight, declares the LORD of hosts? 7 Thus says the LORD of hosts: Behold, I will save my people from the east country and from the west country, 8 and I will bring them to dwell in the midst of Jerusalem.

And they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in faithfulness and in righteousness.”

1 Kings 10:19    Solomon's Throne. Lions attacked as the Kingdom of David was split.
…18 Moreover, the king made a great throne of ivory and overlaid it with refined gold. 19 There were six steps to the throne and a round top to the throne at its rear, and arms on each side of the seat, and two lions standing beside the arms. 20 Twelve lions were standing there on the six steps on the one side and on the other; nothing like it was made for any other kingdom.

Revelation 1
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.

Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.
I am the Living One;
I was dead, and now look, I am alive forever and ever!
And I hold the keys of death and Hades.

Deuteronomy 30:20

By loving the LORD your God, by obeying His voice, and by holding fast to Him; for this is your life and the length of your days, that you may live in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them."

Acts 17:28
For in him we live and move and have our being.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'

Revelation 22
1 Then the angel showed me a river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2 down the middle of the main street of the city. On either side of the river stood a tree of life, producing twelve kinds of fruit and yielding a fresh crop for each month. And the leaves of the tree
are for the healing of the nations.

2 Corinthians 6:18

Revelation 7
9 After this I looked and saw a multitude too large to count, from every nation and tribe and people and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands. 10 And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”

When the Lord saw her, his heart went out to her and he said, “Don’t cry.”

Then he went up and touched the bier they were carrying him on, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise!”

The dead man sat up and began to talk, and Jesus gave him back to his mother. They were all filled with awe and praised God.

2 Corinthians 9:8 ~ God is able + † +

Romans 11:33-36

Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!

“For who has known the mind of the Lord,
or who has been his counselor?”
“Or who has given a gift to him
that he might be repaid?”

For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

What would we give the LORD, that He has not given to us - we can only give Him thanks with a grateful heart....

If we read these Verses as a Letter from Jesus to us, written with Father God and the Holy Spirit:

Philippians 2

Beloved,

So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy,

Complete my joy

by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Thank You, Father, our Abba.

Revelation 5 ~ Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!"

We see Glimpses of Heaven on earth - not just in beautiful photographs - we see glimpses of God's Heaven on earth in His Word. Time is an aspect of God - The Almighty is in charge of time.

Revelation 3:5

Those who are victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out their names from the book of life, but will acknowledge their names before my Father and his angels.

Parents.

"Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me."

James 1:17
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”

Revelation 5:11
11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand.
They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.

Luke 2
8 And in the same region, there were shepherds out in the field,
keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them,
and the glory of the Lord shone around them,
and they were filled with fear.
10 And the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy
that will be for all the people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths
and lying in a manger."

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God and saying,

14 "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!"

12 In a loud voice they were saying: "Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,

to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and
 honor and glory and praise!"

13 Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea,

and all that is in them, saying:
"To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!"

Revelation 14
6 Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel
to proclaim to those who live on the earth
– to every nation, tribe, language and people.

Luke 2
9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them

Revelation 17:14
The Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings
– and with him
will be his called, chosen and faithful followers."

Revelation 21

The wall was made of jasper, and the city of pure gold, as pure as glass.

19 The foundations of the city walls were decorated with every kind of precious stone. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald

20 The fifth onyx, the sixth ruby, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth turquoise, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.

21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.

22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

24 The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into it.

25 On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no night there.

26 The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.

27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.

We have  Memorial Day.

God has Eternity. The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into it.

Abba Father,

The Blessing from the Free is placed upon the Brave. Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

Let this Rest in the Highest Name Jesus Christ and be done with Love.

Amen in Jesus Christ. Amen.

Matthew 11:25-30 ~ I thank you, Father

Matthew 11:25-30

25 At that time Jesus declared, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; 26 yes, Father, for such was your gracious will.

27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

We have reached Memorial Day Weekend. When others carried the heavy cost of freedom.

Genesis 2:2-3
2 And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done.

3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.

Even in the Old Testament, God has marked the Seasons with Festivities. And in the New Testament - Jesus and His Brothers wrangled. The Scriptures give us perfectly the guide to Life. Abundant Life.

Why would God tell us the work of the planned path is light? Why would He say the yoke is easy? Because compared to His - this is true. Because when we Believe God and His Promises - the need for wrath is taken away with the Gift of Jesus and His Life. We live the gift of Liberty from brave troops - individual men, who gave their lives for us. For men who lived and gave incredible service to  us and our Nation. We Live the Gift of the Law of Liberty from Jesus.

God is for us. He tells us even Rest is Sanctified.

And planning, in advance, Rest is wonderful too.

Thank You, Father God. For what is given to us as a Merciful Gift.

In Jesus Christ. Amen.

About scripture-for-today.blogspot.com/

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
