Luke 8:4-15
4 And when a great crowd was gathering and people from town after town came to him, he said in a parable, 5 “A sower went out to sow his seed. And as he sowed, some fell along the path and was trampled underfoot, and the birds of the air devoured it. 6 And some fell on the rock, and as it grew up, it withered away, because it had no moisture. 7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up with it and choked it. 8 And some fell into good soil and grew and yielded a hundredfold.” As he said these things, he called out, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
9 And when his disciples asked him what this parable meant, 10 he said, “To you it has been given
to know the secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that ‘seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.’ 11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 The ones along the path are those who have heard; then the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts, so that they may not believe and be saved. 13 And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away. 14 And as for what fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature. 15 As for that in the good soil, they are those who, hearing the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart, and bear fruit with patience.
The Gospels are Living and Alive as The Word of God. Today we are thinking not of situations we get into, but our attitudes. The seeds of doubt we sew in ourselves. Prudent. Practical. Factual. Effective truth. No one thinks this. This is uncomfortable. Things Prudent King Ahaz taught his son Hezekiah. The facts we apply to our lives.
Truthfully, we cannot raise ourselves by our bootstraps. We require truthful motivation. Depending upon our inner basis for truth.
Isaiah 61:3
To grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.
Why would God, our New Covenant Father want us to have less than the Garden of Eden in this life. Why have people, conversations, situations, repeat problems try our faith?
The Call to Worship cries out, "Hear oh Israel, there is One God." This is true from Genesis to Revelation.
Adam - in the Garden of Eden - was given work, to Garden.
Abraham was called out of what is Beautiful Turkey today and was the Hittite Nation to rent in a dry land. Abraham had to buy and work and work and work his flocks in a land he bought - being told this was his gift as Father of Nations. Abraham was called to find great depths within himself and to find God's Promises fulfilled.

John 6:29
Jesus replied, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."
We have Godly work ourselves. To believe. The seeds we put in ourselves have consequences. What we truly Rest upon.
Matthew 13
31 Jesus put before them another parable:
“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed
that a man planted in his field. 32Although it is the smallest of all seeds, yet it grows into the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree,
so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”
33 He told them still another parable:
“The kingdom of heaven is like yeast
that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour, until all of it was leavened.”
Jesus tells us to Rise.
James 1
6 Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but
be transformed by the renewal of your mind,
that by testing
you may discern
what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Our Father God wants us to rest on Him and to be strong.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you
This is, without doubt, saying God is the God of Love and try again. Jesus picked 12 Disciples and with all the Acts and Works of God - they are shown to be fearful. Worriers. And Jesus kept them asking Peter, "Will you stay?"
Peter answers, "Where would we go? God (Jesus) gives us the Word of Life."
The Blessing God Gives us - trouble and overcoming trouble to live in Faith. Knowing we are worthwhile and Loved. Father God indeed, indeed, indeed turns on the Light. Within. Emmanuel. God with us.
We Rise and try again. Jesus tells us we have what we need to try again. And with the Spirit of God - we do. Bringing with us the ability to help one another. And in creating the opportunity to bring what Jesus created in John 14, 15, 16, and 17 Joy.
The Words of Jesus are the Word of Life. Saying the Lord's Prayer resets us. Cry if we must, think a new thought, laugh, smile, be all in and called to the Direction Calls us to Jesus. Daily.
