Psalm 100 ~ For the Lord is good and His Love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.

Psalm 100

A psalm. For giving grateful praise.

1
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2
Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3
Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and and not we ourselves;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.

4
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5
For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

In the beginning, when God's Word made manifest - going from God and with God. The Word became God - Jesus Christ.

All things were made through Him.

Nothing was made that has been made - without God.

God is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the Word of His Power.

In Jesus was life,
that Life was the Light - of all of mankind.

 The Light of Christ shines in the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish Jesus as Lord.

John the Baptist was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.

The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.

 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him.

 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.

 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

 Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

18 No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

Abba. Father God,

Jesus the very one who ascended higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.

We rely on Christ himself to give, to equip Your people for works of service, that the body of Christ may be built up. Help us all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.

Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.

From Jesus the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

Father God is able to bless ua all abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that we need, we will abound in every good work.

We ask for Your abundance to bless the ones we love, to fill us as willing People of Jesus Christ. In Your Willingness heal cancer. Heal broken bones. Heal all in need of Jesus. And for our Church family, neighbors, co-workers, State and Nation. Help us to tell others of the Love God has for them- His chosen Child.

For those recovering from the Flooding from the Mexican Gulf's Tropical Storm.

His Light Shines even in Tropical Storms.

In Jesus. Amen.

2 Thessalonians 3:3 ~ The Lord is faithful +

2 Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.

Psalm 91

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his pinions,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only look with your eyes
and see the recompense of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place—
the Most High, who is my refuge—
10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you,
no plague come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways.

12 On their hands they will bear you up,
lest you strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread on the lion and the adder;
the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

14 “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him;
I will protect him, because he knows my name.

15 When he calls to me, I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.

16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”

Psalm 95 is David's Psalm, it's probably David's because Psalm 91 is similar to Psalm 3 and Psalm 18.

We know David felt concern and sadness over hardships. Psalm 132 lists the hardships of David's life.

Psalm 91 is confident of God's Provision of a wonderful outcome.

Psalm 62

A Psalm of David.

For God alone my soul waits in silence;
from him comes my salvation.
2 He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.

3 How long will all of you attack a man
to batter him,
like a leaning wall, a tottering fence?
4 They only plan to thrust him down from his high position.
They take pleasure in falsehood.
They bless with their mouths,
but inwardly they curse. Selah

5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence,
for my hope is from him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress; I shall not be shaken.
7 On God rests my salvation and my glory;
my mighty rock, my refuge is God.

8 Trust in him at all times, O people;
pour out your heart before him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah

9 Those of low estate are but a breath;
those of high estate are a delusion;
in the balances they go up;
they are together lighter than a breath.
10 Put no trust in extortion;
set no vain hopes on robbery;
if riches increase, set not your heart on them.

11 Once God has spoken;
twice have I heard this:
that power belongs to God,
12 and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love.
For you will render to a man
according to his work.

David came in contact with all types of people.

With hiding David's own family, changing jobs from Hero of Israel and then becoming a mercenary, feigning madness, rescuing kidnapped people, directing his mercenary jobs away from Israel, dealing with his smaller kingship and the Princess first wife. The miraculous second wife. The hurried next wife. High Estate Palace David built with an amazing view of terraced landscaping and his entire valley, David felt not to place his heart here.

David has come through so many types of events, even lions and giants, David feels like only God will have Victory and Steadfast Love.

It's the Bravery of Belief in God allowing David to survive where even Jacob's son Joseph was in prison.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Our Father in Heaven,
Live and Dwell in me always. Provide this mercy.

John 1 ~ The Light shines +

John 1

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. 11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.

12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

16 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

18 No one has ever seen God; the only God who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.

The Archangel Gabriel  stands in the presence of God our Father; and he has met some very interesting people.

Gabriel witnessed Zechariah's amazing miracle with prayer answered.

And Gabriel, The Archangel, witnessed a young Mary believe and wonder with innocence. This time Gabriel is privileged  ~  "God has Highly Favored Mary."

This is tremendous Good News for several reasons and involves us today.

Daniel 9
Gabriel is met for the first time and goes to Daniel with good news, again, saying when the 2nd Exodus will be over. Daniel learns and tells us of a vast network of Angels. Of Angel positions as if the Heavenly Host is regulated and established with positions and jobs. Orderly as God tells us He is.

1 Corinthians 14:33
33 For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.

Father God must find people interesting.

Daniel is a slave in a lavish foreign culture seeing all types of behavior far from kosher and instead of being angry at his fate, apologizes for their sins. A slave apologizing to Father God for the reason he is a slave.

And all go away from God's messenger - enlightened.

What would you say to Gabriel? Far fetched...

Consider this - the absolute truth is not Daniel, not Zechariah, not Mary felt any day or any moment of their lives - The Archangel Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God Father Almighty - was ever just about to visit.

We who believe in Jesus, will, probably,  speak with Gabriel one day.

Our Good News is Jesus is born in a manger, a place for domesticated animals.
Holiness greets every day regular life.

Surely Father God is reaching out to us, this generation today - when pets have never had more thought and attention lavished upon this formerly very lowly part of the family.  Father God tenderly reaches for our heart. Explaining How High is the Most High. Then explaining these Heavenly Host - are part of our spiritual life. And this is interesting. More interesting is the depth of the plan to come to our lives. To put God's Holy Spirit into our souls. Available  today warming us to speak with God of our concerns to look and see His answers and solutions.

The Awesome Power of God upholding all with His Word.

God's Love lives with us in conversations we call prayer.  Father God reaches high and wide and deep.  Our reachable God works daily sending Love.

We can do absolutely nothing to take care of God
To fob off all this kindness shallowly into an 'earned' category. We are, and will always be, "in the given to" category of God.  Gifted with Love to Live Eternally with God our Father. We are loved, all we must do is reach back with Love.

Father God is not uninformed or unaware of the details of our lives. He keeps us for Himself. Our events are in His Hands.

Let us be Grateful. Every Day. Jesus is given to me and to you.

I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year. ~ Charles Dickens

I will live and strive and I will not shut out the lessons that they teach!

Father God,

Bless us with Your Willingness, Grace and Mercy, we rely upon Jesus.

We Bless You for time to prepare for the coming rush of Holidays. Even in rainy tropical storms we know You are here lighting our souls with Joy.

We give Praise to Your name.  Gratitude for helping us to do the Good Works You have prepared for us to walk in. Help our attitudes, words and works bring more of Your Heaven to this life.

We always rely upon Your Blessing of Protection and Help. Coveing our Loved Ones with Healing, Blessing and Love.

 We have peace knowing Your sufficiency. And gratitude for the Kindnesses given to us Today. Help us to be a blessing to others.

Thank You for our Conversations with Jesus You have given us in prayer. Amen.

Father God, we pray for Houston during this Tropical Storm.
For the safety of our lives and homes.

We Believe in the Light of Jesus Christ even in dark stormy times. In Jesus. Amen.

Psalm 130 ~ Plentiful redemption

Psalm 130

A Song of Ascents.

Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!
2 O Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleas for mercy!

3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,

O Lord, who could stand?
4 But with you there is forgiveness,
that you may be feared.

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,

and in his word I hope;
6 my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.

7 O Israel, hope in the Lord!

For with the Lord there is steadfast love,
and with him is plentiful redemption.
8 And he will redeem Israel
from all his iniquities.

Jesus told us, He came for us to have Abundant Life.

Apply that idea of Abundant Life all over the millenniums of Scripture.

When Jesus says Abundant Life, we can't fail to remember He meant He had existed before Abraham. Jesus intended to Give Almighty God His Father a New Heaven and a new earth. Jesus would be sitting at the Right Hand of God.

How did Paul react to this?

1 Thessalonians 4

We urge you, brothers, to excel more and more 11 and to aspire to live quietly, to attend to your own matters, and to work with your own hands

When Jesus was born, the Heavenly Host appeared. Not only Gabriel who stands in the Presence of God. The Whole Heavenly Host. The Host who have sang Holy, Holy, Holy to God. The Host Jesus called Legions of Armies. It's written Nations shall arrive at His Brightness. Nations.

And where did this Abundance chose to Sing. To Shepherds abiding in the field, taking watch over the field and flocks in their care. In Bethlehem, City named for Living Bread. The aroma of toasting bread was asked for by God Himself in His Temple.

God of the Universe would chose a manner of arrival, when we consider His Holiness, we can find Home.

When Solomon asked our Living God, our Father, to live and move and have His Being in the Temple Solomon and David and dreamed, planned and created. The Robe of His Garment filled His Temple.

When Moses asked to see some of the Glory of God, Abba directed him to move his eyes away. And Moses shone.

When Job complained and complained God should hear him, God did. Job lived to tell his story.

When Abraham moved from fertile lands to live under huge Oaks to be the Father of Nations, Angels arrived. To fill Abraham with an idea of God. To wonder and strive and fail and strive.

The Brothers of Jesus Christ left their lives to live all over the world, taking their spouses, to explain God's Glory. Jesus waited on them.

The Prodigal Son's Father shared His Abundance. Just as Jesus delighted in Proverbs 8 with His Father's Master Workmanship. Jesus knew He would share in His Father's Abundance.

Gideon rose up from being the least of all the clans and least in his clan. And was strengthened in his faith and trust to be brave enough to ask God.

Zechariah was holding forth in the Temple of God and forgot to hold on to God's Mercy. God gave Him not only His Promises, but gave him new love and his voice. An opportunity to house the Mother of God.

Joseph gave up being David's Royal Line of sons to move to Egypt. And God directed him to live with the King of Kings. Joseph's family is recorded as being solidly remembered as family intact.

John would not give up Jesus. Would not depart. John is the first Child of God welcomed into Jesus' family. John graces us to find God is Love. God is God. God we will allow to weave all things to Good and Love the God of Love and Encouragement.

Peter gave up walking on water we find by the last Chapter in John. Peter knew what it was to fall into the depths and be raised up immediately as Jesus was Living Water. Peter was raised up the see God, Moses and Elijah and given the call to continue to pray for Good to be interwoven in God's Glory. Peter would travel so far he would live to see the beauty of the sun rising in Rome and to carry the keys of Heaven.

Abba,

Each day You renew Your mercies. Each day tells it's story to the next.

The Abundance of God calls us to Live, move and have our Being with You, our Father.

Do you see what I see?

Psalm 145:7
They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness.

Psalm 104:16
The trees of the Lord are watered abundantly, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted.

Psalm 147:5
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.

Romans 8:32
Will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

Isaiah  35

The desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus;
2 it shall blossom abundantly
and rejoice with joy and singing.
The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it,
the majesty of Carmel and Sharon.
They shall see the glory of the Lord,
the majesty of our God.

3 Strengthen the weak hands,
and make firm the feeble knees.
4 Say to those who have an anxious heart,
“Be strong; fear not!
Behold, your God
will come"

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
