Recently, Dori had an excellent prayer and I was particularly moved. I'd say it was the Covid 19 Prayer I'll always remember. Here is my best summary:
Dear Father God,
We lean into You to rest and draw Comfort from You. We realize we are fine. We are fine, and we are fine.
And suddenly we realize we have been tense all day being fine. And we again know we need the Strength and encouragement we find in Jesus Christ. Let's draw close together. And in your Strength, we will rest assured.
We want Your Comfort to surround and protect those we Love. We know You are God and You make all things Possible.
We live in Jesus, renew us again in Jesus. Amen.
I've had all the symptoms of Covid 19 at least
three times a week. How 'bout achew?
Feeling intermittently (or constantly) on edge, worried or sleepless are normal ‘fight-or-flight’ reactions to this trauma. We are not going crazy. We are simply coping with a new reality — whether we are sick or not.

About mid-March, as I walked the dogs, I'd pass quite a few people looking like someone was in the room with a loaded gun. People were terrified. Now, people don't look so afraid and this is wonderful. And yet, there is a lot of emotion surrounding so many, many new opportunities for a solution. Ranging from Spiritual, Health, Finances, National, State, Local, Jobs, Safety, Isolation, Relationships, Reactions to the events with the people we love and interact with. We all look more normal, but it's a tough worried, concerned, downright angry time. Even the boredom does things.
If you aren't sleeping, you won't do well. (Unless you are Michelangelo).
Melatonin in your right number, slow-release. Melatonin is a hormone made by the pineal gland. That's a pea-sized gland found just above the middle of your brain. It helps your body know it's time to sleep. I've found juggling the numbers and not always taking Melatonin makes my Pineal happier. I've found my Tinnitus is happier and calmer as well.
The other thing we have to examine is the comfort we require to sleep. This might be as easy as juggling the blankets in the house. I've found a cotton woven blanket will make the covers hug me and this feels like I have covers, not needing adjustment. And then we have a synthetic eiderdown comforter, with very smooth cotton. The real eiderdown bunched up. And in the winter, or in back pain, we sleep with a heating blanket under us to make tired shoulders and hips have comfort with a flick of a switch. Works very well. Edward and I have 3 down pillows each and constantly battle for the fluffy, on top, pillow. My sons swear by Tempurpedic pillows. Our mattress is Tempurpedic and it's constantly warm, so we have a ceiling fan and my grandmother Anita's c. 1935 iron fan pointed at us.
What would cause your nest to be more comfortable - this is for you to diligently experiment. Our quilt is great but it hurts my feet and I remove this from my feet. It's an effort of comfort, well worth the testing.
Limiting media exposure, avoiding mistruths, and practicing breathing, yoga or meditation. Prayer! And the Word of God. This is Easter and we are going to find our Road to Emmaus, not with convoluted suddenly arrived at new theories, but with the Solid Rock Foundation of God's Word.
What will you face? Exercise? Making phone calls to the less than enthusiastic? Going back to work? Having new fears? Exercise and music are going to help with Prayer. Maybe you will make time to please yourself. I've been having sugar free ice-cream with a diet soda. For a hundred calories, I'm beating pre-diabetes. With Exercise. And Prayer.

Saying, if you are older and have immunity health issues, take care. Or if you are in a Hot Spot. Don't.
I'm seeing people who are healthier and family meeting together in parking lots.
Coffee is being sipped. Restaurant take-out is being eaten. In Parking Lots. The cars take up two spots, leaving two empty spaces in between for four people in two car spaces. What is carried from home are foldable yard chairs. Everyone is 6 feet apart. The people look happier. And one warm, warm Texas day the parking lot featured two lounge chairs in the very warm concrete Parking Lot. It's not the beach, but Texas Concrete Parking Lots are bright and very warm!
