John 13:31-35 ~ God is glorified in him

John 13:31-35

31 When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him. 32 If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and glorify him at once. 33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me, and just as I said to the Jews, so now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going you cannot come.’

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Mostly, we do what Einstein called ridiculous to repeat the same activities. Not trained athletes, this repetition is called perfection.


Typically, are we surrounded by Glory?

Glory could never be anything but wondrous.

Daniel would say so. To read the Book of Daniel, more is going on around us than meets our usual senses. David believed this, fighting a Battle believing God told him to watch the wind in the trees to determine his own actions and directing the entire army.

William the Conqueror believed this, falling at his first step on the Island of the United Kingdom, he called this grabbing the land with both hands. Creative, determined and looking for the Blessing of God.

All the Gospels were written by men who had met Jesus Christ and had something in them drawn to Him. Each faith registers within us differently.

John was drawn to the Glory of Jesus Christ.

How did John recognize Glory?

Typically, when we vacation, we'll, at one time, want to see Mountains. Returning home to speak of majesty and splendor in God's Good Creation.

Mount Tabor has this for Israel, where going to Jerusalem is called - yesterday, today and tomorrow - going up. We could say going 'Up'.

We can get an eyewitness account of condition of Mount Tabor about the time of the Transfiguration.

Yosef Ben Matityahu, we know as Judean Roman General and Historian, Josephus Flavius, the Jews defended themselves against the Roman assault. Mt Tabor, was one of the 19 sites fortified by the Jews in Galilee, under Josephus' very orders. According to his book "The Wars of the Jews", Vespasian sent an army of 600 riders, under the command of Placidus, who fought the rebels. Placidus understood that he could not reach the top of the steep mountain with his forces. Therefore, Josephus called the fortified Jews to walk down the mountain.

This is definitely up hill!

God makes the Path

And we know Jesus's words on the Road to Emmaus. We also know the conversation down the hill of Mount Tabor. John took the conversation to his heart and never revealed the Transfiguration except by alliteration. John immediately explains God is Light. Witnessing God is Light, with John is his own brother, James.

After about 60 years, John is called into the Kingdom of God to merely visit. Where Jesus is filled with Light. Jesus has made a way, truth and Life for John's preparation understanding Jesus is the Light. God makes a path and John as John is fully enabled to recognize Jesus. In God's Kingdom would be James, witness to this Glory.

The Widow of Nain explains to the large crowds, Jesus overcomes death. The Resurrection is understood because Jesus has made a way, truth and Life. Jesus explained, again, with Lazarus rises to Life the week before Palm Sunday.

Declaring the Glory of God!

Jesus is Recognizable. Because Jesus has loved us first! Jesus is the way, the truth and the Life.

Zephaniah 3:17

The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

When Jesus is glorified in this Passage John 13:31-35, we find Judas has left the building. Trouble is progress. Jesus doesn't leave His Purpose. In fact, God is interweaving all things to Glorify His Love and Hopes for us.

We live in a time people are making a way forward. We are making new paths. With all this time, trepidation is understandable. And yet, the Glory of God prevails.

John 1
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.


9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.



Luke 9:28-30
28 About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. 29 As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning. 30 Two men, Moses and Elijah, appeared in glorious splendor, talking with Jesus



Revelation 1
9 I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet 11 saying, “Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.”

12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, 15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.

17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades. 19 Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this.



2 Peter 1:16-21

16 We told you about the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. We told you about his coming. The things we told you were not just clever stories that people invented. No, we saw the greatness of Jesus with our own eyes. 17 Jesus heard the voice of the great and glorious God.

That was when he received honor and glory from God the Father. The voice said, “This is my Son, the one I love. I am very pleased with him.” 18 And we heard that voice. It came from heaven while we were with Jesus on the holy mountain.

19 This makes us more sure about what the prophets said. And it is good for you to follow closely what they said, which is like a light shining in a dark place. You have that light until the day begins and the morning star brings new light to your minds. 20 Most important of all, you must understand this: No prophecy in the Scriptures comes from the prophet’s own understanding. 21 No prophecy ever came from what some person wanted to say. But people were led by the Holy Spirit and spoke words from God.

Abba, Holy Father,

Peter prayed for us.
2 Peter 3
Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Glory be to Him, now and forever! Amen.

And John added to this:

1 John 1
1 We want to tell you about the Word that gives life—the one who existed before the world began. This is the one we have heard and have seen with our own eyes. We saw what he did, and our hands touched Him. 2 Yes, the one who is life was shown to us. We saw him, and so we can tell others about him. We now tell you about him. He is the eternal life that was with God the Father and was shown to us.

1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

And we will rest all our cares on Jesus, He has asked us to pray for amazing things.
Having the Blessing from Your Son to ask for more Heaven upon earth for all of Creation. God of Love. God of Encouragement. Living in the Freedom and Expectation to Seek You first and find Your Kingdom glimpsed around us.

We ask Jesus Christ may dwell in our hearts through faith — being rooted and grounded in love.

To seek and find Jesus and Your Gift of Faith, we will live in Love, Peace and Joy.

Keep us safe from disasters, quieten storms and keep the Oceans safe.

Uphold those we Love. We Trust You.

We ask for the virus to end and Joy in Recovery. And Peace for anxiety, jobs and finances.
For the vaccine to be created speedily.
We pray for Your Word to be Spoken.

Philippians 4:8-19

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

10 I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. 11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 

13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

14 Yet it was kind of you to share my trouble. 15 And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church entered into partnership with me in giving and receiving, except you only. 16 Even in Thessalonica you sent me help for my needs once and again. 17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit. 18 I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. 19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

The Lord's Brother,  Jude, tells us about Archangel Michael and Moses.

Jude 1:9
But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not himself dare to condemn him for slander but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"

So where did this come from? This isn't recorded in the Old Testament. So we are talking about, probably, either Jesus has told Jude or The Transfiguration.

We all get angry and ANGER is in the Bible over 500 times. Surely anger interferes with happiness.

Paul sees and gives Joy.

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope
fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Romans 15:32
So that by God's will
I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.

2 Corinthians 1:24
Not that we lord it over your faith,
but we work with you for your joy, for you stand firm in your faith.

2 Corinthians 7:2
Make room in your hearts for us.
We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have taken advantage of no one.

Philippians 1:4
always in every prayer of mine for you
all making my prayer with joy

Moses saw the bush that was not consumed. Perhaps this looked like a Christmas Tree?
We chose Joy when we are Angry. Looking internally, believing in the future.

In the Sermon, when you reach minute 19, you either believe you are done in or God is going to Help you.

Abba, Father,

Help us in all minutes of the day, to believe You have given us a Hope and Future. To be part of Your Vine and fruitfulness. Help us to build in all times, each day.

Daniel 1: 1-21 ~ God gave

Daniel 1

1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. 2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with some of the vessels of the house of God. And he brought them to the land of Shinar, to the house of his god, and placed the vessels in the treasury of his god. 

3 Then the king commanded Ashpenaz, his chief eunuch, to bring some of the people of Israel, both of the royal family and of the nobility, 4 youths without blemish, of good appearance and skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king's palace, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans. 

5 The king assigned them a daily portion of the food that the king ate, and of the wine that he drank. They were to be educated for three years, and at the end of that time they were to stand before the king. 6 Among these were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah of the tribe of Judah. 7 And the chief of the eunuchs gave them names: Daniel he called Belteshazzar, Hananiah he called Shadrach, Mishael he called Meshach, and Azariah he called Abednego.


8 But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king's food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself. 

And God gave 
Daniel favor and compassion in the sight of the chief of the eunuchs 

And the chief of the eunuchs said to Daniel, “I fear my lord the king, who assigned your food and your drink; for why should he see that you were in worse condition than the youths who are of your own age? So you would endanger my head with the king.” 

11 Then Daniel said to the steward whom the chief of the eunuchs had assigned over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, 12 “Test your servants for ten days; let us be given vegetables to eat and water to drink. 13 Then let our appearance and the appearance of the youths who eat the king's food be observed by you, and deal with your servants according to what you see.” 

14 So he listened to them in this matter, and tested them for ten days. 15 At the end of ten days it was seen that they were better in appearance and fatter in flesh than all the youths who ate the king's food. 16 So the steward took away their food and the wine they were to drink, and gave them vegetables.

17 As for these four youths, God gave them
 learning and skill in all literature and wisdom, and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. 

18 At the end of the time, when the king had commanded that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. 19 And the king spoke with them, and among all of them none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore they stood before the king. 20 And in every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters that were in all his kingdom. 

21 And Daniel was there until the first year of King Cyrus.

 Cyrus's Cylinder

1995 Dr. Bryant Wood found Cyrus's Cylinder, declaring freedom for captives in Babylon to return to Israel and rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and the temple. Ezra 1:2-4

Blessing. Adversity for Jerusalem. Fear. Salvation.

Jeremiah 39
11 Now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had given orders about Jeremiah through Nebuzaradan captain of the guard, saying, 12 “Take him, look after him, and do not let any harm come to him; do for him whatever he says.”

The Second Exodus of Israel is well documented by cuneiform.

Walking a thousand miles, or 1148 km, enslaved from a burning Jerusalem to Beautiful Babylon of the hanging gardens and the Gate of Babylon - would be a very dark time.

And in the middle of this profound hopelessness - God gives.

1 Peter 2:10

Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy

1 Peter 1:13

Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming.

1 Peter 5:2

Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, watching over them – not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve

2 Peter 1:16

For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

2 Peter 1:19

We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Abba, Father God,

When Peter fell into the water, You immediately reached for him and put him in secure and stable footing.

You give us Gifts to see You and Love You. Give us Faith when we feel brought low. And in Jesus, we will be secure and shine.

With Jesus and Your Gift of Faith, we will live in Love, Peace and Joy. Having the Blessing from Your Son to ask for more Heaven upon earth for all of Creation. God of Love. God of Encouragement.

Luke 8:22-25 ~ Where is your faith

Luke 8:22-25

22 One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, “Let us go across to the other side of the lake.”

So they set out, 23 and as they sailed he fell asleep.

And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water and were in danger. 24 And they went and woke him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!”

And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm.

25 He said to them, “Where is your faith?”

And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?”

Rather similar to today; The Jesus Boat was found during such a severe time. However, this was instead, heat wave and drought, many people could not work. Some young men decided to fish and the Jesus Boat dating to 30 A.D. was found. The Sea of Galilee was at unusual depths due to the circumstances.


David spoke of decay. The Boat of Jesus had decayed some and yet, was in amazing condition for being about 2,000 years old. The mud had held all of this in recognizable condition.

Paul was speaking at Ahhh Antioch, with Barnabas, and reminds us to think of David.

Acts 2:35

32 And we bring you the good news that what God promised to the fathers, 33 this he has fulfilled to us their children by raising Jesus, as also it is written in the second Psalm,

“‘You are my Son,
today I have begotten you.’

34 And as for the fact that he raised him from the dead, no more to return to corruption, he has spoken in this way,

“‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’

35 Therefore he says also in another psalm,

“‘You will not let your Holy One see corruption.’


Why would Father God send us a message about bodies not having corruption?
When the Dead Sea Scrolls came to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Vatican sent along amazing artifacts of the Body of Christ preserved as the "Body" Holy Sacrament of Jesus Christ. The most fascinating part of the artifacts, these are all AB Blood Type. Centuries before anyone knew blood could be classified into blood types, positive or negative.

And these Body of Jesus Sacraments are not a typical state of decay for being many hundreds of years old.


Why would God Himself give us this Sign?
Our faith isn't about us directing our 'faith' like laser beam. God is definitely the One Who is God.

When Jesus came down from Mount Tabor, Transfiguration, He was seen as becoming Light.

Nothing is too difficult for God.
A human body was suddenly transfigured into Light. And then returning to the physical body of mankind, Jesus was presented with a boy throwing himself in the fire. Matthew 17. And Jesus asked the Father, "Where is your faith." The father of the boy, wisely, cried out he had faith, and needed Jesus to help him have more faith.



We can all love this in times of uncertainty.
Jesus supplied the father of the boy with Faith. A gift of Faith. And the Acts of God, both.

The incorruptible body God is interested in telling us about, seems off sides.

God is instead telling us, Acts of God are completed and filled by God Himself.

On the days our faith is waning, God will be our faith. Thank GOD.

Philippians 4:19

But my God shall supply all your need 
according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Hosanna, Jesus Christ, the way, the truth and the light. He is our redemption. Hallelujah!



And if - on a clear day, Handel could see this - what would Handel say? This one is for Edward, who was - and is - the tall monk!  (Not in this particular Video, however he has done the tall monk part for this!)

Would Jesus joke about this? Yes, Jesus uses humor in the Bible. And if Jesus would cross the Sea of Galilee going 13 miles (20.92 km) to find the one He calls Beloved; Then yes, Jesus would certainly want us to remember God was not being funny when He explained about incorruptible bodies. He is telling us Loudly and Clearly, God is God Himself, Almighty. God of All.

Abba, Father God,

When doubts fill our mind and we turn to anxiety, we would ask You in Jesus Christ, Your help to rest as easily as Jesus in the Boat. Jesus beside us in all storms. We would ask You, the Gift of Faith, of course. Knowing in expectation, You would speak Peace.

Elijah found Your Voice to be the small, inner voice of assurance.

With Jesus and Your Gift of Faith, we will live in Love, Peace and Joy. Having the Blessing from Your Son to ask for more Heaven upon earth for all of Creation. God of Love. God of Encouragement.
