Luke 2:10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.

Wow, for this photo representing the Nativity!
Be Happy. Is part of Advent.
Get back to picking Joy.

The caves of Bethlehem are similar to the Watch Towers of Nazareth.
The place Jesus was born was like the place Jesus spent most of His Childhood years. Both barns and watch towers are store houses for food. 3 photos up is a vintage photo of Bethlehem and all the people on the road are working to have store house provisions.

Useful. A Storehouse.
Hole in the wall. The barn wouldn't be an empty old cave. The barn would have herbs for salve, herbs drying for medicines and foods. All types of equipment and rope. The barn would be a huge storehouse of food in case of drought, freeze or fire to make sure the people and the livestock lived. The barn is a shelter not just of animals, but a shelter and watch out —  Life.

The Watch Tower of Nazareth makes Nazareth famous for the plateau living.
Nazareth is a place of safety for those who want to see to the distance, to know what is coming. A Nazarene is consecrated to God. To seek and live and work and watch for God. Life. A useful Life.

Now how did Capernaum figure into the towns in the life of Jesus Christ?
Capernaum like Bethlehem and Nazareth made a life being sustenance for those in and around the town. Capernaum would be kept safe for 1300 years beyond the Roman Empire for fishing for the nation. Bethlehem: Ancient records are quite pleased with the number of livestock in Bethlehem. Solomon would ensure Bethlehem continued by placing tanks of water there.  Ecclesiastes 2:6. Nazareth was always a watch tower. The Bible records, twice, the people of Nazareth record watching and observing the close-knit family of Mary and Joseph as seamless and close.

Capernaum, like Nazareth, allowed for sight far away of what arrives.
Transparency. Jesus could be found if you were searching for Him during His Ministry.
Capernaum could see far away and yet isn't guarded by City Walls or Natural Plateau.
King David made David's  Jerusalem palace (found by a 3rd generation Archaeology Professor of the University in Jerusalem. Eilat Mizar found David's Palace from looking in His Word and found the description of the hill and view) outside the safety of the Jerusalem city walls. The Son of David did not need the fortification of Nazareth. Capernaum was safe as Jesus did Believe God would keep David's Son safe.  The Messiah always trusts His Father.

Capernaum is like the Palace of King David, can see far away like Nazareth, and has prophetic importance, like Bethlehem, of our finding Capernaum today in antiquity and archaeology.  Capernaum fell to the depths in 1300 A.D. So well intact in the ruins, we understand Capernaum well. Jesus as the Son of God also repeats the Exodus by living in Egypt and becoming free in a great, recorded Biblically childhood thanks to Nazareth and God.

Interesting, Heart warming and Wondrous to realize God's Plan for Jesus is also Psalm 139 and is His Plan for your life, too.

David, for a time in his life, ended up living in a ditch in a town called Ziklag.
Not too different from barns built into the side of the earth. Probably what gave David the idea upon witnessing the unique qualities of Bethlehem. David is the foundation of Israel. Believing God is going to get David out of impossible troubles, and believing in impossible Promises.

Mary and Joseph are different from David.
They shelter the Christ child. In Nazareth, celebrated for the watchful citizens and the view to keep safety as the goal of the town. And the Holy Parents are sometimes confused, even after the Heavenly Host Shepherds tell them all, they are still confused after meeting Gabriel.  And once these amazing people let Jesus become separated from the safety of their group in Jerusalem. Safety of Nazareth is very probably a gift of God.

Capernaum is actually more like the Land of Milk and Honey God has provided.
Jesus flourishes with the whole town arriving the day His Ministry began. This is Prophetic and like Israel today. God fulfills His Promises.

David never required Mary and Joseph to settle forever in Bethlehem. Mary sees Jesus visit Nazareth and witnesses they try to throw Jesus down.

When we read the Old Testament, we read this man begat this son.
And every story in the Bible is unique. The story of Kings of the Scriptures surely explain one generation isn't the copy of the last generation, even in the days of dusty feet and long robes. Paul asks us to be like Jesus. God never wrote down Jesus begat Jesus begat Jesus begat Jesus. God shows us in Scripture life is very messy if we ask life to be or not.

Ephesians 4:11-13
Christ gave gifts to men.
He gave to some the gift to be missionaries, some to be preachers, others to be preachers who go from town to town. He gave others the gift to be church leaders and teachers. 12 These gifts help His people work well for Him. And then the church which is the body of Christ will be made strong. 13 All of us are to be as one in the faith and in knowing the Son of God. We are to be full-grown Christians standing as high and complete as Christ is Himself.

The names change, the generations change, the gifts change. The Love of God is Steadfast. The Freedom of Free Will is Steadfast. The opportunity to be complete in Jesus Himself is plentiful.

Romans 3 Steadfast Stand Firm, Stand forever Word of God

21 But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law

Although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— 22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe.

For there is no distinction:
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
and are justified by his grace as a gift

Through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith.

This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. 26 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that He might be just
and the justifier of the one
who has faith
in Jesus.

… Thou shalt call his name Jesus for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1: 21

God gave us freedom.

2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Jesus is remembered at Christmas as God's willingness
God did not to pick up a sword, but to appear as a newborn baby in a storehouse that would not feed him.

God doesn't require mankind, mankind needs Jesus.

The freedom to be born to a woman of faith,
She would run to the fellowship of Christians when her family turned her away, pregnant and unwed, heavily pregnant and basically abandoned to live or die.

God gave them freedom to live without being Nazarene,
Not ultra-orthodox and rule following, and following the safe path of Kosher.

God gave free will to find how they would do, set free.

Galatians 4:6
And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”

Mary knew she and her cousin in law had met Gabriel.
And she was confused and sometimes alone as Joseph was deciding. Not even Zechariah greeted her when she arrived at the house of Elizabeth. God was working all things to Good for her following His Purpose.

Gaudete Advent Sunday
Mary taught us to find the good in each circumstance. Gaudete, “Be Happy”.

When we take this seriously, we are finding the Blessings and seeing the Good News of “Give us this Day.”

The Promise of Life Today
We now have a record of the pre-born, alive baby, John the Baptist being the first to have supreme Joy over hearing Jesus is near. Impossible. And recorded in Scriptures for 2, 000 years. Life. Jesus is first celebrated by Life and the Promise of Life.

2020 might be horrible and unusual,
We have the story of Christmas taking us off the beaten path.
2020 the real story of Christmas is with us, especially this year.

Galatians 5:1
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be encumbered once more by a yoke of slavery.

The Light of Christ makes us brave.
Joseph would decide to skip living in Jerusalem. He believed in the Light of Jesus in mankind and went back to the town where his pregnant, unwed wife was put heavily pregnant to live or die to give birth somewhere.

Galatians 5:13
For you, brothers, were called to freedom; but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Rather, serve one another in love.

Love
Always see watch tower Nazareth was called to give testimony for the lives Jesus and His Family led. Even when public displays happened. In the best possible conclusion, we find Jesus gave His Brothers the space to arrive at Acts Chapters 1 and 2 and find eventually the Disciples were watching the Brothers of Jesus and finding them doing well.

1 Corinthians 9
4 Have we no right to food and to drink? 5 Have we no right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the Lord’s brothers and Cephas? 6 Or are Barnabas and I the only apostles who must work for a living?

Bishop Eusebius of Judea, Caesarea, would record why the young Constantine would convert to Jesus. He had been there when the descendants of the Brothers and Sisters of Jesus died proclaiming Jesus the Highest Name of God and Lord. Acts 2 sharing did not end. What Jesus had believed in and waited for in His Brothers continues.

This is the Freedom God has for us.
To know Life is trouble
and yet Believe
With God all Things are Possible. Nothing is too hard for God.

Abba, Father God,

Philippians 4:4-7

4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Grace upon Grace.

THANK YOU FOR THE VACCINE.

Amos 9:11-15

“In that day I will raise up
the booth of David that is fallen
and repair its breaches,
    and raise up its ruins
and rebuild it as in the days of old

That they may possess the remnant of Edom
and all the nations who are called by my name,”
declares the Lord who does this.

“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when the plowman shall overtake the reaper
    and the treader of grapes him who sows the seed;
the mountains shall drip sweet wine,
and all the hills shall flow with it.

14 I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel,
    and they shall rebuild the ruined cities and inhabit them;
they shall plant vineyards and drink their wine,
and they shall make gardens and eat their fruit.

15 I will plant them on their land,
and they shall never again be uprooted
out of the land that I have given them,”
says the Lord your God.

Gaudete Advent Sunday

This is the medieval command in Latin to, “Be Happy. “
I'm familiar with this. I was an only child until I was 8 years old, the only grandchild, and my sibling spoke about the time I was 11 years old. My Daddy was charming. He loved being a social lion and drinks for everyone he was cooking dinner for.

If there was childish temper or upsets, then out came the Command: “Be Happy.” “You will be Happy.” Now I have looked at this from — all types of angles. Being about three years old and looking up at the Commander. Thinking, “You are cute, Daddy, but you are 'cwazy.'” At age five being about belt level in height, thinking, “Sure, sure, right, uh huh.” At seven years, realizing if this Command isn't followed there will be discussion and some form of light punishment and fun will indeed cease. At nine realizing fun would stop, to redirect activity. To help.

One of my sons friends commented, “It's not tragic, it's the time to realize Life Changes, and get with the surfing.” Oh, now I get to look from the angle of being the aged one. Terrific.

In Fact: There is a great truth in accepting what God has Brought. Until it's time to Fight the Good Fight. When it's not, we anticipate the wind in the trees. We believe in God, we will be able to accomplish His Good Purpose.

We believe God can help the future to provide Love, Joy, Peace. To believe our soul has wings.
Not in the ultra-polite nicey portion, but in the hard won Peace. When we can't. The Strength of God will carry us. And peace returns.

Expectation
We expect the Wind of the Holy Spirit to bring us to actions. Faith itself is a choice and action.
King David was moved by the Wind of the Holy Spirit.
The Apostles moved the world with the Wind of the Holy Spirit.
And the Shepherds moved all over Judea to honor the Holy Spirit.

Gaudete Advent Sunday

Like David, when the wind blew, we anticipate what God will bring. And being God's Child, rest in Him, when we are weary and tired. Believing more in faith than by sight in the Good Plans God has for us. David's wind in the trees was the call to march in fighting. Fight the Good Fight.

Restaurants aren't the only ones celebrating the Festival of Booths.

Christmas Lights aren't just the front yard.
It's the Hope of safety in the next few months.
Now more people are daily dying in the USA than during 911.

Ephesians Ish 5:15-17
Look carefully where you walk, not as the unwise, but as wise. Making the best use of time because the days are year 2020. Don't be foolish, mitigate and understand the will of the Lord.

We can raise tired hands and weak knees worried about safety and know in faith and in courage, we can do just about all God requires of us until Spring. We can believe we can do all things in Jesus Christ and do what He uniquely requires of us in our Lives.

It's the courtesy of understanding  ~
Need for different requirements for us all in whatever situations God has brought us in our lives.

Shape your Christmas,
but avoid Vikings

Lately, with the violence in Oregon and the calls for chaos, we have been watching Vikings in different mini-series. One culture called for war, theft, death and courage. The other culture called for peace and trust and was raided and harmed, due to — the hope and the prosperity created in trust and cooperation. As the Roman Empire failed, Christianity arrived to call the earth out of dark ages and behind walls. Courtesy. Care. Tender Heartedness. Love.  Later, the Vikings found they didn't just want the loot, they wanted to stay. To be Baptized to be part of the heritage. It's uncomfortable to find the amazing King Alfred the Great to be demoralized in cheesy easy.

Matthew 11:12
And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Not just the Gospels, King Solomon understood these forces as well. Proverbs 1. The Beginning of Solomon's Wisdom.

13 We will find all manner of precious goods; we will fill our houses with plunder. 14 Throw in your lot with us; let us all share one purse”—15 my son, do not walk the road with them or set foot upon their path

There is a vast difference between the hard fought Good Fight. And nicey peace.
Find the Blessings God willingly bestows. Deny being told Peaceful Protest when this is far from true. Live in Truth. Expect the Goodness of God. Always Pray unceasingly as we are in Hope. Fight the Good Fight. Do the work of belief God has given us. Daily. Walk the Narrow Path. Avoid the Wide Highway of what is easiest. Unless this is the Highway of Heaven and is fully formed Heaven.

We find Scriptures repeat.

Life is filled with chaos and conflict.
When we diligently seek God's Goodness, His Will, His Love and His Word, we will find ourselves better for knowing, recognizing, believing and trusting God, ourselves, our lives, the ones we love and hold dearly, to support in God's Grace we will solve our conflicts and find ourselves as better people, dear to God, for all the conflict and chaos end.

God will find us in His Renewing Mercies;
we can lift our hearts, souls, minds and lives knowing God fights the Battles for us.

Abba, Father God,

Bless us to live in Your Heart.
And dwell in us with Your Love and Grace.

Help us to seek You first
and we will see more Heaven on earth.
Thank You for telling us Your Heart to pray for this.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
