Much of the United States is under a blanket of Smog. JRR Tolkien might have called this Smaug. And yet, the rain will eventually come, the smoke particles will wash all over God's Creation and the circle of creation will be nourished again.... When?
This week, the FAA released the dramatic numbers of assault, fighting, on the tight quarters of commercial airlines. The number is significantly up, telling us, Pandemic Brain is real. Human Life Lava Lamps are shaken.
The news media our great-grandparents, grandparents, parents have relied upon are so low in viewers, eventually these organizations are going to wither. And the headlines say, "Civilization is doomed and if you are one of the fortunate few, put yourself on an island and stay." Which doesn't account for an aging population needing superlative Medical Care. Burying one's head in the sand does have drawbacks in real life.
Who is tired? Airline crews are tired. Ministerial staff is tired and blue. Police are discouraged. Houston had to ship a child out 110 miles away with Covid because Children's Hospitals are filling.
Everyone is having some discouraging thoughts every day.
We have spent 5 months going from our house in the Houston area, to my mother and mother-in-law's house, in Dallas, once and sometimes twice a week. We have seen 3 sets of neighbors, in Dallas, have serious thoughts and circumstances. And here, at home, 8 houses have changed entirely due to new ideas on Post Pandemic living. 2 houses on our Pond, of 15 are empty or being worked upon. We have lost 5 friends to Covid or Pandemic stresses. Then, two deaths of people under 60, just life ended. Possibly stress.
It wouldn't do, not to face the mature problems of a world in Pandemic Recovery,
even if the line isn't straight up in Glory Alleluia.

Isaiah 41:10
Fear not,
for I am with you;
be not dismayed,
for I am your God
I will strengthen you,
I will help you,
I will uphold you with
My Righteous Right Hand.
If the News Media isn't going to report Good News, with the usual repetition of masks and agenda bias questions.
Good News telling us 2/3 people feel more connected to God with their prayer life. 2/3rd's of People say they have better values and are better people now.
If the news doesn't tell good news, we will have to walk by faith.
We have to mentally drive off-road and find the Lord. Just as Jesus asked those to find Him during His ministry on earth. Seek and find.
We will have to diligently seek with knocking and finding, the way, the truth and the Life. Discovering Give Us The Day to find the Living Word of God our Encouragement. Knock and you will find, Seek and you will find.
The earth is the Lord's and the fulfillment thereof. God looked at His Creation and saw it was good. The Word of God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Heaven and earth will pass away, but the Word of God remains forever.
Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives;
the one who seeks finds;
and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Do not for a moment, let go of your truth.
The Peace that passes understanding is not what motivated the Disciples of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Jesus had skirmishes every day with trouble. And Jesus was fighting the Good Fight. With Grace upon Grace.
However, however, however the Disciples were afraid, bewildered, asked stupid questions and Thomas announced when Lazarus was going to live, "Now, we will go and die with Jesus." They knew all the pressures surrounding the blind seeing, the deaf hearing and the lepers being cleansed. To have this fear, this uncertainty, this hope, this glory, this uprising of ugliness in the face of faith - the Disciples - the way, truth and life of their ministry to us today - is worry with endurance. Is open hearts seeing Hope and Love and battling to stay and endure.
To the one who knocks.
Knocks? Bad circumstance? Like walking through the Desert for 40 years? Some faith would have shortened the journey.
Dragged down by the faithless surrounding you? Claim Isaiah 41:10, back up further in the Post, in the New Covenant we are saved by Jesus and His Righteous Right Hand. You have to love Abraham. Abraham was blessed by God because Abraham argued for God to be merciful to sinners. God loves to be seen for the Glory of His Love. Jesus Christ, our Messiah, is the one we want to be like and, yet, His Salvation is our Gift. Not what we could earn being uncertain, faith doubting, annoyed, selfish, and wanting all our own way and the problem makers to just move out of our eyesight and heart reach. Salvation isn't mankind's work, Salvation is the Work of the One who knows the Heavenly Host by Name and Calls the Stars into Creation.
Romans 12:2
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed
by the renewal of your mind,
that by testing you may discern
what is the will of God,
what is good and acceptable and perfect.
When we hear civilization is dying, pray for all the incredible numbers of people searching the Bible online during Pandemic. That isn't dying when His People are Looking to God.
Isaiah 51:1
Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness and who seek the LORD:
Look to the rock from which you were cut
and to the quarry from which you were hewn
Every single thing is a disaster? And remember the brand-new Google add saying the Google searches are all about people asking to start - how to fix a part, how to do a new skill, how to find a new way, how to rebuild, how to find more gifts and talents to make a path for one another in families.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
In His great mercy

through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead
Or how to climb back out of worry and find assurance.
The Disciples did this every day. And then after seeing Jesus alive, then Jesus spent 40 days giving more assurances. Jesus has compassion on all seeking Him and asking His Help. Jesus is such Love, He wants to save the world.
Isaiah 41:10
Fear not,

I will help you,

"The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with dressed stone;

Philippians 1:18-22
Yes, and I will rejoice,

Every 500 years, God does spectacular work.
Jesus reminds us the Day of the Lord isn't always very comfortable.
Philippians reminds us about work and being alive. The work of the Children of Israel in being part of the Exodus. The work of the Disciples to walk or sail, in all types of weather, to bring Jesus the Lord to His Day. The work of the people who were sent to do a task when Jesus healed them, like go see the Priest. The work of the people to travel so far into the wilderness to find Jesus, they might go hungry.
The 12 Disciples who did the faith work to Hold on to Jesus. When the 72 Disciples departed when finding out about the eat and drink the reality of Jesus dead and risen. Believe so diligently to eat and drink Jesus. The other 12 Disciples had not only to put up with the Temple, the Government, the Blessing Hogs Jesus wasn't fond of, the children, all the people who wanted Jesus and the Pharisees and Sadducees, now the Disciples had to put up with 72 Disciples who had waning faith. Work. Life is work.
Rejoice. Jesus did.

All things work together for Good for those who Love the Lord and 'work' according to His Purpose. This will turn out for my deliverance

From the Day our Father spoke Light into being,
prayers have been earnestly prayed and heard.
We have not ceased to pray, asking we may be filled with the knowledge of Father God's will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding.
To walk awed by Jesus, while walking in a manner worthy of the Lord,
fully pleasing to You.
Calling upon Jesus and bearing fruit in every good work
and increasing in the knowledge of God.
Finishing well to the very end.
And in the Highest Name of Jesus, being strengthened with all power, according to Your glorious might for joy!
