Colossians 1:12-14 ~ Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you †

Valor and Integrity

Thursday morning, our 23-year-old Kenmore washing machine decided to retire. It had been a long, hardworking life. We'd learned how to YouTube the old dear to continue. Searched the internet, used a good review service, got shuffled to an 800 number, ended up with a different company and a man with a Russian accent. Bad attitude. Fierce attitude.

This scowling technician explained to me my washer wasn't broken, and I was mistaken. As the washer wouldn't un cycle from tornado spin. Then sat down, on his foldable stool, to receive his service fee of almost $100. I was quiet. What to do with this tall, tall, scowling, lying technician. I said I washed 6 loads of wash recently, and it worked well. Then this. He explained, again, it wasn't broken. Even turned on the newly tornado, high jumping, spin washer. He said I needed a plumber to deal with it. Obvious Lie. I said, ok, I will pay you. He nodded his agreement and non-surprise, and again sat down on his foldable stool. Entire time five minutes. No examination, just the judgement, after flipping it on.

I said, after thinking, "I will report you to social media and pay you. But I am going to report you said the broken washer is working." He suddenly looked worried. He offered not to charge me and have me pay zero. I said I definitely agree not to pay for no service on a non-working washer. He began to peddle this working washing machine lie. I looked at him. "Time to go is, NOW." He surprisingly jumped up and walked quickly to the door.  Then down the hallway started lying, Again. "Nope, time to go." Ran into my husband and he began speaking, quickly. Edward said to me, you decide. I said, "Time to go. Now." Tried again. I opened the door and he left.

Lying isn't something anyone enjoys hearing.

Next morning, same internet search. The new technician, with appropriate service name and not 800 number referral, quickly uncased the whole machine, not done yesterday, and found leaking in several key areas. 1 working device, 3 new irritants showing demise, I had already seen. Retirement for the washer.

I told of my yesterday sitting-down-lying technician. The new technician knew the man and said with his short hair, large height and accent with direly bad attitude, he knew the one. And said the 800 number makes reporting him difficult. Worth the effort. The new technician told me about the current consumer reports and suggested a place with an existing washer. The open, clear eyes of someone willing to work. And the machine opened with all evidence of his findings.  Someone worth the time to give him good reviews.

Last night, my phone was on conserve the battery life, I listened to the regular Texas Radio across the counties from Houston to Dallas. The choices were Christian Churches, Baseball and Country & Western.

This season is a season of make or break. We are all being pressed by the massive changes and attitudes being revealed, fought for and against. Apparently, the Churches in the rural areas and the broadcast area have decided to decide. Earlier, on social media, one Church commented, "In these days, the Churches have decided to focus first on membership numbers, second on money giving to the church and, lastly, on God." The rural Churches and the Broadcast Churches were speaking of sin, sex sin and separating from darkness.

All of the Churches were speaking of the Kingdom of Light and darkness, yesterday.

THIS ERA DOES NOT NEED TO BE HARSHLY REBUKED. THEY NEED JESUS WHO DID NOT RAIN DOWN FIRE.

Martin Luther said: When I look in the mirror, I see a man who cannot be saved.
When I look at Jesus, I do not know how I cannot be saved.

THIS IS WHY JESUS IS LORD!
HIS WORD IS OUR GUIDE, STRENGTH AND JOY. EVERY WORD, DOT and IOTA.

Do not give milk for babes, instead give meat and mercy over sacrifice.

How to do this. Read The Liturgy and Preach from it about all of TODAY. The families, the low divorce rate. The HOPE.

Good to see we have a common ground. The Kingdom of Light.
One man was speaking about sex sin being concentrated, bottled, and fed to us by every time we hear about government leading. He went on to say we are all sinners and the Bible says we are evil in heart, all. Mankind is just evil. I'm sure the French Revolution era would agree. God does not see us like Cotton Mather did. When we see humanity as evil, then we enslave and bond servant work to death one another. We become entitled. Angry.

The next point of view said leave the Kingdom of Darkness. Separate.

All in all, criticism isn't what we long to hear. Most of us are self critiquers. The most garden variety of criticism is done about one and a half to two feet above the heart. And if you love to hear the Church criticize each other, then bitterness has crept in. Shake it off.  Usually, Texas Churches going through Texas are a J O Y to behold. Really.

It's the season of make or break. Adversity. What if God spoke to you, and said, "Let me tell you a secret. This is make or break season. The Trials of the Prodigal Son. Can't wait to see you Come Home. Putting on My running shoes. Looking to the Road Home. See you, Heart Beloved!"

The Mission of God in the Kingdom of Light. God Loves You.
God loves the world and has given us, given us, given us, His Beloved Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, Prince of Peace. He heals the sick, He preaches Good News. He raises up the faint of heart. The Lord God Almighty brings forth strength in tired hands and weak knees.

Does God see mankind is wicked? He says so. All have fallen short of... The Glory of God. What did God say about His creation. Good. 10 times God speaks, He sees Goodness. We want the world to be back to goodness and honor with valor. We don't want to hear lies and misdirection. All want schools to radiate Good News of God's Honor, unspoken and in full Glory. When our children are in trouble, we will be Valiant. We want to know standards are in Goodness of all systems.

Colossians 1:12-14

Giving thanks to the Father,
who has qualified you
to share in the inheritance of the saints in the light.

He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness
and
brought us into the Kingdom of His beloved Son,
in whom we have redemption,
the forgiveness of sins.

Ok, so now all we need to do in this current worldwide trauma is focus on things far away. Put in some money, go home cheered up. Except:

John 21:15-17

Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.”

He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” 16 He said to him a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.”

He said to him, “Tend my sheep.”

17 He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.”
Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep.

Friends don't let Friends drive along to be wiped out.
Europe, in war, had nations, crossing across nations and in a war alliances change. The Church was so shocked, the plan was acted upon to ignore all surrounding the people and be calm to pretend the season was calm. When the peace was arrived upon, the crowds fled from being unfed.

Never, never, never, never repeat being unfed.

Pope Francis recently said anything damaging to the poor is to be marked as not being godly.  We can't whitewash abortion. Millions of people have participated in abortion. But you don't find millions showing up to demand more. In fact, abortion leaves sadness for many years and people need to be who they are. Instead of hidden and suffering.  Address this issue. It's hidden poverty. Be, above all else, compassionate. Available. And within the arms of Jesus Christ.

Anything damaging to the poor. Pre-school children being asked to have a conversation about sexuality.  You are poor, if this isn't a poor sorrow to your heart.

Damaging to the poor. Youths subjected to sexual information or shame, shame, shame, the hidden teaching parents wouldn't be told about.  This makes a life without maturity. Robbed of the richness of growing to legal adulthood, finding the path for one's self. Poor. Having the educational system given to richly nourish the population, being robbed of basic freedom and security. Poverty to not vocalize and stop victimization.

Damaging to the poor. Healthcare, after a Pandemic, has no new plan.

Damaging to the poor. The military should not preach sexuality to the young adults who need a job and have few alternatives.

Damaging to the poor. The 29 million crossing the border competing for employment. Fact.

Damaging to the poor. The immigrants without government assistance to have employment, healthcare and educational opportunities for their children. Flung.

Damaging to the poor. The ever-increasing homelessness, astonishing in Arizona, California and El Paso, completely unaddressed in favor of talking about sex.

Damaging to the poor. The drugs flowing over the border, with 82% Fentanyl involved in the 50% increase in drug overdose. No carjacking escalation of justice to prevent this lack of human compassion. Damaging to the poor in spirit and financially.

Damaging to the poor. The un had conversation of the increase in suicide. The poor in spirit being ignored.

Damaging to the poor. Not being told the truth. Mixing the stories up.

Who is the villain? There is an ongoing war between goodness and the pretense of goodness. How Long? Since Genesis.  Honesty is key. Honest words. About the 275 million parents in the USA, who have heard that wonderful, pregnancy heartbeat at 6 weeks. Fact.

Damaging to the poor. Not to see an increase in help. Help from people being honest about goodness. Being unfed.

If you were playing a Board Game called Evil. And your roll role play aim is to bring chaos and evil into the world, to win the board game. You would confuse the crowd sexually to move the eyes off a Loving God.  Focus on your groin. It's the only pleasure in life. Now, good, suddenly not providing a military or school or housing you have more money. Needy. Needy. Keep focused on your groin.  Happy you, winning the game. Now bring in so many people no one is happy, like the studies of mice in a trap.  Mice fight. Now have a groin fight about something.  Good now you are winning the evil war, you have civil unrest.  Next, make education dislike parents as fuddy duddies and then children as smart. Children are gross, they elicit compassion and love. Phase 2. Ok, get rid of compassion. Ok, great no need for those elderly and needing medicine and help and all that empathy bull. You can call them useless eaters. Or better yet, a plague will end this faster. Oh goodie, a plague.  Goodbye needy human beings.  So tiring hearing about old age and illness. Let's put drugs in as all happy. Oh no, they got calm, that's not winning. So add poison to the drugs and tell people it's a small problem. Oh, need more civil unrest, create a problem between people with housing and those with none. Gooooodness the anger. Happy, you are winning. Pull your groin more. Let's see what topic could be sexually related. Consensual sex is a lie. Ok, the children and consensual age is a lie.  Children are so needy. Let's have a tax credit to get rid of babies, too needy.  Hey, we need all the people being working poor. But let's have a two-class-economy, we might get a war out of it. We could call it nationalism or imperialism. As long as more people are unhappy, you are winning. The game is called Evil.

In God's Plan, Who is the Victor? Jesus Christ.
We do not have all the people in the world knowing the Scriptures. We did not have people being given in marriage during the Pandemic.  We are a people of 81% pray and believe God hears them. Jesus finds the faithful on the earth.

Will it be this bad as the loaded paragraph above? Someday, it will, according to the Book of Revelation. Not today, let us begin.  Be the solutions. Be the Joy of the Lord.  Jesus tells us He came to fulfill every dot and iota of God's Word. We will believe God. And give Him our trust in His Joy, Mercy, mercy, mercy and His Love. Steadfast Love to all generations.

2 Timothy 3:16

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching,
for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness

Matthew 8:23-25-26

And they went to Jesus sleeping, saying, “Save us, Lord; we are perishing.”

And He said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?”

Then He rose and rebuked the winds and the sea,
and there was a great calm.

Why would God have seasons of Prodigal Son?
The history of the world displays, every 500 years, upheaval happens.
And in the recovery, mankind advances in education, medicine
and hope for all mankind.

Jesus Christ is Light to the Nations

Mark 12 ~ put in everything

Crown flash, similar to a Light Pillar, is a rarely observed meteorological phenomenon involving "The brightening of a thunderhead crown followed by the appearance of aurora-like streamers emanating into the clear atmosphere"

A cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.

Mark 12

1 Jesus then began to speak to them in parables: "A man planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a pit for the winepress and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place.

2 At harvest time he sent a servant to the tenants to collect from them some of the fruit of the vineyard. 3 But they seized him, beat him and sent him away empty-handed. 4 Then he sent another servant to them; they struck this man on the head and treated him shamefully.

5 He sent still another, and that one they killed. He sent many others; some of them they beat, others they killed.

6 "He had one left to send, a son, whom he loved. He sent him last of all, saying, 'They will respect my son.'

7 "But the tenants said to one another, 'This is the heir. Come, let's kill him, and the inheritance will be ours.' 8 So they took him and killed him, and threw him out of the vineyard.

9 "What then will the owner of the vineyard do? He will come and kill those tenants and give the vineyard to others. 10 Haven't you read this passage of Scripture:
" 'The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;

11 the Lord has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes' ?"

12 Then the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders looked for a way to arrest him because they knew he had spoken the parable against them. But they were afraid of the crowd; so they left him and went away.

13 Later they sent some of the Pharisees and Herodians to Jesus to catch him in his words. 14 They came to him and said, "Teacher, we know that you are a man of integrity. You aren't swayed by others, because you pay no attention to who they are; but you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. Is it right to pay the imperial tax to Caesar or not? 15 Should we pay or shouldn't we?"

But Jesus knew their hypocrisy. "Why are you trying to trap me?" he asked. "Bring me a denarius and let me look at it." 16 They brought the coin, and he asked them, "Whose image is this? And whose inscription?"
"Caesar's," they replied.

17 Then Jesus said to them, "Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's."

And they were amazed at him.

18 Then the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question. 19 "Teacher," they said, "Moses wrote for us that if a man's brother dies and leaves a wife but no children, the man must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother. 20 Now there were seven brothers. The first one married and died without leaving any children. 21 The second one married the widow, but he also died, leaving no child. It was the same with the third. 22 In fact, none of the seven left any children. Last of all, the woman died too. 23 At the resurrection whose wife will she be, since the seven were married to her?"

24 Jesus replied, "Are you not in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God? 25 When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. 26 Now about the dead rising—have you not read in the Book of Moses, in the account of the burning bush, how God said to him, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob' ? 27 He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. You are badly mistaken!"

28 One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?"

29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31 The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

32 "Well said, teacher," the man replied. "You are right in saying that God is one and there is no other but him. 33 To love him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices."

34 When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, he said to him, "You are not far from the kingdom of God." And from then on no one dared ask him any more questions.

35 While Jesus was teaching in the temple courts, he asked, "Why do the teachers of the law say that the Messiah is the son of David? 36 David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared:
" 'The Lord said to my Lord:
"Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies
under your feet." '
37 David himself calls him 'Lord.' How then can he be his son?"
The large crowd listened to him with delight.

38 As he taught, Jesus said, "Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted with respect in the marketplaces, 39 and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. 40 They devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. These men will be punished most severely."

41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. 42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a fraction of a penny.

43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, "Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. 44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on."

Hello Wonderful, How was Your Day?

A beautiful vineyard reduced to squabbles and violence. Then grim Justice prevailed. A work of God. God is marvelous. To behold.

Then Politics, vengeance and hypocrisy. Stirred up fear, and the hypocrites slunk away.

A tax question and an answer with the finesse of God.  A debate about marriage, answered by the Word of God. Wise. Wonderful. Tender and filled with hope.

This joy is not far from the Kingdom of God.

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31 The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

Being right about God. God's own Son. His Joy to see others love God.

Watch out for the presumed and posturing.  The fringe of His Robe wouldn't even fill these places. God is so far above man's ideas of "Religion" to His Very GLORY.

Like Jacob going to Egypt, the widow put her all into her offering. With the pleasure of Jesus.

Jesus' day in Mark 12 had enough stress to go home and move with the Jewish Dispersion to wonderful Crete.  And yet, Jesus has found Joy in this day. As much as Jesus has brought awe, Jesus has found heart warming appeal in those discussing His Father. Enduring. Thriving.

Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God.

Jesus tells us Life is Joy. The fire Jesus is speaking is the Holy Spirit will always win.
The Goodness of God will Triumph.  The Father is Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

Jesus said, don't just look to the obvious and well-ordered paths of life. Jesus sometimes observes from the opposite measures. The Christ of God sees greater worth in the more worthy aspects of life.

If we see Jesus teaching us to find Joy in Life, we have to be contrarian in some aspects, to strive to live where Life is rich with meaning and purpose of heart.

All I need is a Tall Ship
and
The Lord to Guide me.

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
