House of David
John 19
35 The one who saw it has testified to this,
and his testimony is true.
He knows that he is telling the truth, so that you also may believe.
36 Now these things happened
so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.
When the house of David was told,
“Syria is in league with Ephraim,”
The heart of Ahaz
and the heart of his people
shook as the trees of the forest shake before the wind.
And the Lord said to Isaiah,
“Go out to meet Ahaz, you and Shear-jashub your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool on the highway to the Washer's Field.
And say to him, ‘Be careful, be quiet, do not fear, and do not let your heart be faint because of these two smoldering stumps of firebrands, at the fierce anger of Rezin and Syria and the son of Remaliah.
Because Syria, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has devised evil against you, saying, “Let us go up against Judah and terrify it, and let us conquer it for ourselves, and set up the son of Tabeel as king in the midst of it,” thus says the Lord God:
“‘It shall not stand,
and it shall not come to pass.
For the head of Syria is Damascus,
and the head of Damascus is Rezin.
And within sixty-five years
Ephraim will be shattered from being a people.
And the head of Ephraim is Samaria,
and the head of Samaria is the son of Remaliah.
If you are not firm in faith,
you will not be firm at all.’”
Again the Lord spoke to Ahaz:
“Ask a sign of the Lord your God; let it be deep as Sheol or high as heaven.”
But Ahaz said, “I will not ask, and I will not put the Lord to the test.”
And He said,
“Hear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign.
Behold
The virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel. He shall eat curds and honey when He knows how to refuse the evil and choose the good. For before the Boy knows how to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land whose two kings you dread will be deserted. The Lord will bring upon you and upon your people and upon your father's house such days as have not come since the day that Ephraim departed from Judah—the king of Assyria!”
In that day
The Lord will whistle for the fly that is at the end of the streams of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria. And they will all come and settle in the steep ravines, and in the clefts of the rocks, and on all the thornbushes, and on all the pastures.
In that day
The Lord will shave with a razor that is hired beyond the River—with the king of Assyria—the head and the hair of the feet, and it will sweep away the beard also.
In that day
A man will keep alive a young cow and two sheep, and because of the abundance of milk that they give, he will eat curds, for everyone who is left in the land will eat curds and honey.
In that day
Every place where there used to be a thousand vines, worth a thousand shekels of silver, will become briers and thorns. With bow and arrows a man will come there, for all the land will be briers and thorns. And as for all the hills that used to be hoed with a hoe, you will not come there for fear of briers and thorns, but they will become a place where cattle are let loose and where sheep tread.
Today at Church, The Rector asked how many people feel they have an anxiety or worry? And almost everyone raised their hand. Every soul.

House of David
1 Samuel 17:34
David said to Saul,
"Your servant has been keeping his father's sheep.
When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock,
35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth.
When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it.
36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear;
this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them,
because he has defied the armies of the living God.
37 The LORD who rescued me from the paw of the lion
Nehemiah 9:5
5 And the Levites—Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah and Pethahiah—said:
“Stand up
and praise the LORD your God,
Who is from everlasting to everlasting. ”
“Blessed be your glorious name,
and may it be exalted above all blessing and praise.

Mark 3
33 “Who are my mother and my brothers?” He asked.
34 Then He looked at those seated in a circle around him and said,
“Here are my mother and my brothers!
35 Whoever does God’s will is my brother and sister and mother.”
Isaiah 5:26, 29-30
He will raise a signal for nations far away,
and whistle for them from the ends of the earth;
and behold, quickly, speedily they come!
29 Their roaring is like a lion,
like young lions they roar;
they growl and seize their prey;
they carry it off, and none can rescue.
30 They will growl over it on that day,
like the growling of the sea.
And if one looks to the land,
behold, darkness and distress;
and the light is darkened by its clouds.
1 Corinthians 15:1

Galatians 5:1
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.
Stand firm, then,
and do not let yourselves be burdened
again by a yoke of slavery.
We have so many ways to pray and to relate to God, our Father. We can look with emotion, heart and lean into faith of mysticism to see David watched for the wind to blow and to do His Will upon the wind's direction. John 3:8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit. Or you could say, the wind was stirred by the movement of troops, and David was led by the Holy Spirit to act.
You might say the hand of God created a volcano eruption, a tsunami and the Red Sea parted. Or you might believe Exodus 15, telling us the Breathe of His nostril, created the Red Sea parting.
We could say the gates of hell shake us and we will stand in Jesus Christ. What is important is to Love the Lord, Believe Him and act. Even the small good we do, creates a faith God responds to with Great and Steadfast Love.
In this time, to encourage one another in the Lord, creates a path and a shelter for the Holy Spirit to come and stay. No one loves drought, but we Love to see the Clouds and Winds do the bidding of our Father.
Psalm 97:2
Clouds and thick darkness are all around Him;
righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
Nahum 1:3
His way is in whirlwind

and the clouds are the dust of His feet.
We pray
to rise
to shine for Your Glory.
In the Name of Jesus Christ,
Your Son.
Amen.
