Matthew 11:28-30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Today, was a Lidocaine recovery day.
Oh, the places you will go!
When I was a child, I went to Lamplighter School. This was our neighborhood school in Dallas and there was a huge barn. We would take turns jumping from the hayloft into the hay. Until one of the farm related parents was horrified to catch us doing this. Pitchforks and all that.
I lost a molar suddenly. A bone crunching noise was heard, X-Rays showed no danger to the tooth, but it caved like a polar ice cap in Summer. (John Muir saw Junea, Alaska Taku, Eagle and Herbert Glaciers and the amazing 10 mile ice shrinkage from 100 years earlier in ....1879 Auk Glacier.)
I was so fortunate the tooth nerve was not involved and pain was minimal with a bleeding molar of 1/2 in my hand. When you have had Lidocaine and are exhausted and tired, and not eating or drinking, the mind will go all sorts of places. Oh, the places!
What about the History of Discomfort in the USA and the resilience, National Resilience ????
Every year we go to Victoria, Texas. Love to go. So very historic and charming. As you drive along the Guadalupe River roads, you see Historic farmhouses and barns. Some in the new housing craze for restoration. And the massive, massive foundations to withstand hell or high water.
"Discomfort for All"
Everyone, everyone, everyone and ALL of us are so tired of the current cultural issues. We could label them, "Discomfort for All", however, this would be such a vast understatement.
We have resolutely determined to have solutions and recovery in our History.
National Life Expectancy
We could start with the national life expectancy before 1943. We had sulfa drugs in the 1930s, but antibiotics were widely available about 1943. Teddy Roosevelt of vast wealth had his parents die in their 40s. The National average. FDR, his cousin, made it to 63 years. Harry Truman was next and lived to be 88 years old.
And go to 1950, the year the majority of Americans had indoor bathrooms. Surprise!
Ane we went to the moon in 1969
But go back to the beginning.
The Texas Guadalupe River looks like it has a history.
Hey, this place floods. Yes, yes it does. And the Victoria, Texas farms and barns tell the story. The bones of the homes on the road.
Like the Early American settler barns.
Barns are interesting. It's a planning thing. An expectation thing. A cultural History.
What is the Verse Today?
†
Acts 1:21-26
21 So one of the men who have accompanied us
during all the time that the Lord Jesus
went in and out among us,
22 beginning from the baptism of John
until the day when He was taken up from us
—one of these men
must become
with us a witness to His Resurrection.”
23 And they put forward two,
Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus,
and Matthias.
24 And they prayed and said, “You, Lord,
Who know
the hearts of all,
show which one of these two You have chosen
25 to take the place in this ministry
and apostleship
from which Judas turned aside to go to his own place.”
26 And they cast lots for them,
and the lot fell on Matthias,
and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
The Acts of the Apostles, is like Ecclesiastes 3. For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven. There is an extreme level of expectation in the men of Jesus Christ. Just like building a Barn.
The first part of this planning is knowing the realistic, true history. Judas is discussed as the downfall. What we want to avoid. This is part of the foundation.
The early settler barns are archaeological. You'd have to unearth the history. The early barns ...
Are the supplies. And close livestock. Kept from wolves, coyotes, bears and bad people. They didn't even have stairs. People lived in them at first and they had a ladder.
Then they looked like the white barn. This one even has paint. And a solid staircase.
Come hell or high water, we will stay. Lord willing.
Lord willing, stay long enough to be restored.
Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, long enough to remember when dairy farms needed to promise to be RAISED up to cleanliness. Not just floods, wolves and human threats.
Raise us up out of the mire of coldness, self-interest and self-sufficiency to Love, Peace and Joy, Oh Lord God. In Jesus Christ, we pray.
Remembering the years of adaption and expansion. Endurance.
The Growth led to Experimentation. Barns have an actual motto, "Never big enough." Let's pray the Holy Spirit says this to our Bible Believing Churches.
Historic growth.
Having the privilege of knowing the disasters probable, and plan to avoid them. Endure and overcome.
And in our prayers, plans and overcoming in faith with endurance, remembering Acts 1 led to Acts 2 the voluntary kindness of the community. Planning to share and include others in food, shelter, good deeds and profits.
The Joy of the Lord is our Strength!
The earth and it's Fullness Belong to the Lord.
When we find prayer requests - of the Beloved of God - the prayer requests say:
"I'm ok - please help my son, or sister or brother or friend or neighbor - to know the Love and Peace God has for hearts needing our Lord Jesus every day. Help them with marriage, divorce, disease, crisis and in need. Jesus please, You helped me. Amen"
Abba, Holy Father,
We pray with the Blessing of Hannah - for all the parents
who have realized they did their lives with God:
1 Samuel 2
1Then Hannah prayed and said:
“My heart rejoices in the Lord;
in the Lord my horn is lifted high.
My mouth boasts over my enemies, for I delight in your deliverance.
2 “There is no one Holy like the Lord;
there is no one besides You;
there is no Rock like our God.
3 “Do not keep talking so proudly
or let your mouth speak such arrogance,
for the Lord is a God Who knows,
and by Him deeds are weighed.
4 “The bows of the warriors are broken,
but those who stumbled are armed with strength.
5 Those who were full hire themselves out for food,
but those who were hungry are hungry no more.
She who was barren has borne seven children,
but she who has had many sons pines away.
6 “The Lord brings death and makes alive;
He brings down to the grave and raises up.
7 The Lord sends poverty and wealth;
He humbles and He exalts.
8 He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
He seats them with princes
and has them inherit a Throne of Honor.
“For the foundations of the earth are the Lord’s;
on them
He has set the world.
9 He will guard the feet of His faithful servants,
but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness.
“It is not by strength that one prevails;
10 those who oppose the Lord will be broken.
The Most High will thunder from Heaven;
the Lord will judge the ends of the earth.
“He will give strength to His king
and exalt the horn of His anointed.”
And in the Strength of our Abba,
we place ourselves, our cares,
our Loved ones
the people God has given us.
And Our Nation, our communities,
our employments, our Schools, our Churches.
All the Nations trusting in Him
all the Beloved around the world - calling on Jesus
and for more of the Holy Spirit to bring
more Heaven to our lives
and upon His Good Creation.
Thank You the city of Tamina
one of the Nation's oldest freedman cities,
with a History as rich as Galveston, Texas,
Thank You, the city of Tamina
Tamina is an unincorporated community in southern Montgomery County, Texas, United States. Tamina is located along the Missouri Pacific line, located 1 mile east of Interstate 45 and 8.5 miles south of the city of Conroe.
Thank You, the city of Tamina
has a 3 year, 21 Million dollar bond to
have WATER and a Sewer System.
We pray for River Plantation in Conroe
to have hugely sunken roads
and elevated lawns with
the Huge Water pipes of Shenandoah, Texas
to prevent fuure flooding.
More Bonds voted upon
to deepen and dredge the Rivers
to carry the water to the Gulf of Mexico.
With the wonderful Trillion Dollar Tax
for Infrastructure in the USA
not used in Mississippi, losing water for 3 months
or the crisis in Louisiana Roads.
But, widely available for Baltimore Bridge for 2024
voting. But probably not if 2021 or 2022.
Like Homelessness.
Our God who wants to fulfill His Will to save
through Jesus Christ.
Dwell in us, Father,
Dwell in those we Love,
Help us to seek You first
and in Jesus Christ,
we will finish well.
