Zechariah 2 ~ Glory within

 

Zechariah 2

And I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand! Then I said, "Where are you going?" And he said to me, "To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its breadth and what is its length."

And behold, the angel who talked with me came forward, and another angel came forward to meet him, and said to him, "Run, say to that young man, `Jerusalem shall be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of men and cattle in it. 

For I will

 be to her a wall of fire round about, 

says the LORD, 

and 

I will be the Glory within her.'"

Go! Go! Flee from the land of the north,

 says the LORD; 

for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the Heavens, 

says the LORD.

Go! Escape to Zion, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon. 

For thus said the LORD of Hosts, after His Glory Sent me to the nations who plundered you, for He who touches you touches the Apple of His Eye: 

"Behold, I Will shake My Hand over them, 

and 

they shall become plunder for those who served them. 

Then you will know that 

The LORD of Hosts 

has sent me.

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; 

for lo, I come 

and 

I will dwell in the midst of you, 

says the LORD. 

And many nations shall join themselves to the LORD in that day, 

and 

shall be my people; 

and 

I will dwell in the midst of you, 

and 

you shall know 

that 

The LORD of Hosts 

has Sent me to you.

And the LORD will inherit Judah 

as His portion in the Holy Land, 

and will again choose Jerusalem." 

Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD; 

for He

 has roused 

Himself 

from 

His Holy Dwelling.

Oh come all you faithful, the Lord comes to live and dwell among us.

Samuel 2 

There is none holy like the Lord: 

 for there is none besides you; 

 there is no rock like our God. 

3 Talk no more so very proudly, let not arrogance come from your mouth; for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed. 

4 The bows of the mighty are broken, 

 but the feeble bind on strength. 

5 Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, 

 but those who were hungry have ceased to hunger.

 The barren has borne seven, 

 but she who has many children is forlorn. 

6 The Lord kills and brings to Life; 

 He brings down to Sheol and raises up. 

7 The Lord makes poor and makes rich; 

 He brings low 

and 

He exalts. 

8 He raises up the poor from the dust; 

 He lifts the needy from the ash heap to make them sit with princes 

 and 

inherit a seat of honor. 

For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, 

 and on them He has set the world.

We give Thanks to You, O God;

We recount Your wondrous Deeds.

Thanksgiving is being debunked. 

I want to recall with you something almost all of us saw on our flatscreens, 2019. 

Shame, Shame, Shame, Shame. Shame.  Shame being called.  And it is a tool. Shame. 

And usually, those bringing the charge should bear the charge and have this. 

Debunking Thanksgiving is bringing the charge of Shame. 

Like upon Columbus. Who spent years in prison because King Ferdinand did not consider Columbus to be a worthy individual to have invested in. Maybe a fraudster. The bringing home the loot, was not considered ... sufficient. 

And let's consider the citizens of today's Florida being invaded due to plague.  I know I have cousins who felt invaded from the events of Hurricane Katrina redistricting many areas of Louisiana, never to be the same again.

Consider a tractor, clearing former farmland to make a suburban tract of housing. 

1982 Titusville, Florida. 

When work began on building a road across the pond in a new housing development, Windover Farms. A backhoe operator noticed several skulls in the bucket of his machine.

The sheriff and medical examiner determined that the burials were not recent. The local forensic expert originally believed he was examining modern Caucasian remains. Then they called in Florida State University.

8,000 years ago, this part of Florida was part of the ocean. 7,000 years ago, a total of 168 people lived and were buried in what is today Titusville, Florida. Preserved and buried in the peat moss, making the pond peaceful.  The children were lovingly buried with things of beauty and love. High value was placed on the children.  7,000 year-old woven fabric for graves.  DNA was able to be obtained in the brains.  Not what we refer to as Native Americans. In fact, Asian. And a family of generations was buried in the cemetery for over 100 years.

Giving Thanks

the only gift

we 

have the ability

to give

God,

Thanksgiving is the only

gift

we can sincerely bring

to God,

He has not first given us.

Giving Thanks. 

Nehemiah 8:10–12 

Then he said to them, “Go your way. 

Eat the fat and drink sweet wine 

and 

send portions to anyone who has nothing ready, 

for this day 

is holy to our Lord. 

And do not be grieved, 

for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”

 11 So the Levites calmed all the people, saying, 

“Be quiet, for this day is holy; do not be grieved.” 

12 And all the people went their way to 

eat and drink 

and to send portions 

and to make great rejoicing, 

because they had understood the words that were 

declared to them.

Father God promises us, again, the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. 

He gives us villages without walls, where multitudes dwell. The fullness of the earth is also the Lord's. He sent His Holy Spirit and He dwells in the midst of us. We are the apple of His Eye, He listens to us and our deepest desires. 

The Lord does not just dwell in heaven, but in us, in the Light of mankind and Light of the earth, where His Holy Spirit dwells.

 

Abba, Father,

We ask Jesus Christ may dwell in our hearts 

through 

faith

We ask to be being rooted and grounded in love

and 

have strength to comprehend with all 

what is the breadth and length and height and depth

of Your Love.

To know 

the love of Christ 

surpassing all the books ever written 

fully know

We are filled with all the fullness of God

Your Promises,

Father,

Are Sure

Dwell in us, please, Father.

Dwell in those we Love.

Help us to seek You first.

In Jesus Christ, we will finish well.

To be

more Heaven today

to see more Heaven today

Thy Kingdom come

Thy will be done

on earth

as it is

in Heaven.

I will sing of the steadfast Love of the Lord forever;

 with my mouth 

I will make known Your Faithfulness

2 For I said, “Steadfast Love will be built up forever;

 in the Heavens 

You will establish Your Faithfulness.”

3 You have said, “I have made a covenant with My Chosen One;

 I have sworn to David 

my servant:

 ‘I will establish your offspring forever,

build your throne for all generations.’”

Let the Heavens praise your wonders, O Lord,

    Your faithfulness 

in the assembly of the Holy Ones!

For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord?

 Who among the Heavenly Beings is like the Lord,

 God 

greatly to be feared

awesome above all who are around Him?

8 O Lord God of Hosts,

 who is mighty as you are, O Lord,

    with 

Your Faithfulness all around You?

You rule the raging of the sea;

    when

 its waves rise,  You still them.

You crushed Rahab like a carcass;

 You scattered Your enemies with Your Mighty Arm.

The Heavens 

are Yours; 

the earth also is Yours;

 the world and all that is in it, 

You have founded them.

The north and the south, 

You have created them;

 Tabor and Hermon joyously praise Your Name.

You have a Mighty Arm;

Strong is Your Hand, 

High Your Right Hand.

Righteousness and Justice are the foundation of Your Throne;

 Steadfast Love and Faithfulness 

go before You.

Blessed are the people who know the festal shout,

 who walk, O Lord, in the Light of Your Face,

who exult in Your Name

are exalted.

For You are the Glory 

of their strength;

   by Your Favor our horn is exalted.

Yet for us there is 

one God,

from Whom are all things

for Whom we exist, 

and 

one Lord, Jesus Christ, 

through 

Whom are all things

 and 

through 

Whom we exist.

How can the Lord tell us we exist for Him? 

Regardless of the high or low stations in life, we will at times become tired of our blessings and wonder the real meaning of life.  And in those days, we want to know we have created a path others would want themselves. A path of love, joy, meaningful life God calls abundant life. 

If we work for the Lord in our inner conversations, if we want to do well to please the Lord, we have never worked in vain. Our lives are rich and meaningful. And in this Joy of the Lord, we are established within our souls to our lives.  And in doing this, our minor blessings, our great blessings become Major and Fulfilling Blessings. 

Abba, Father,

And when you pray, 

you must not be like the hypocrites. 

For they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by others. 

Truly,

 I say to you, 

they have received their reward. 

But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father

 Who is in secret. 

And your Father 

Who sees in secret 

will reward you.

Not a God of Chaos. Orderly. 

Matthew 6:9-13

9 Pray then like this:

“Our Father in Heaven,
Hallowed be Your Name.

10 Your Kingdom come,

on earth as it is in Heaven.

And upon asking God for His Light. His Holy Name, Jesus, Emmanuel, The Christ of God, Savior, Only Son of God.  

For the earth to be a reflection of God as His Good Creation. To long for God's Good Will.

 To do the tasks of our daily lives, knowing God provides and God is our Daily Living Bread.

 To be forgiven in God's Grace upon Grace.  To forgive those who annoy, sin, or trespass. Not to allow God's Holy Name to be fallen into irreverence, by accepting what God would not want for our lives. 

And in our choices, not to be swept away from God by circumstance, laziness, selfishness. Out of temptation.

And to be delivered from evil. To live boldly. As God's Child. 

For our God is Magnificent in His Kingdom Plans and Place. His Power. For His Glory Forever. Amen.

To Live God's Grace upon Grace.

Live peacefully as you can. Hope, Faith and Love.

Let Love be sincere and avoid hypocrisy.  What is noble, pure and good.  Live within God's Plan. In God we live, move and have our very being. 

And?

Hebrews 11:6 

Without faith 

it is impossible to please Him, 

for whoever 

would draw near to God
 must believe 

that 

He exists 

and that 

He rewards those who seek Him.

1 Corinthians 6

19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple 

of the Holy Spirit 

within you, 

Whom you have from God?

So glorify God in your body.

Abba, Father!

The Spirit of the Lord

Rest on Him

The Spirit of knowledge

The Spirit giving fear of the Lord

We ask for the Holy Spirit

to dwell first in our lives,

and 

asking

 Your mercy and grace

upon us 

who ask

for Your Love and Favor

in Jesus Christ's

Holy Spirit.

Dwell in me,

Dwell in those we Love,

Help us to seek You first.

And we will finish well, in Jesus Christ.

We PRAY

That this Congress

with mouths full of Ugly.
