John 12:14-16 ~ Jesus found





The Coast of Tyre


John 12:14-16






14 And Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, just as it is written,


15 “Fear not, daughter of Zion;

behold, your king is coming,

sitting on a donkey's colt!”


16 His disciples did not understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things had been written about him and had been done to him.

The Possibilities within the Scripture. Are what God is telling us!


Very much so, people are relating their tender hearts to their pets during the Pandemic recovery. And other people enjoy observing this to see tenderness in communications has not moved very far away.
Proverbs tells us a good man is good to the animals. Allowing an ox to graze during harvesting.

The donkey video relates what my brother's family found on their 6 acres in New Mexico. They adopted one donkey from a rescue and found the donkey was miserable. Returning two weeks later to find what they could do to make the donkey happier, they discovered an ancient donkey, who adopted their donkey during their time at the Donkey Rescue. When my brother returned with the bff ancient donkey, suddenly they discovered Donkey Love and Bliss. And their original donkey was seedling pregnant, bringing Donkeys to 3 in number. They were overjoyed, having discovered the wonders of donkeys, even when the first donkey was mourning. And the children loved when the donkeys snuck into the house.








The Scripture of John 12 says Jesus found a young donkey and suddenly the donkey has borrowed. or burrowed, the fame of Donkeys in the Bible. Donkeys are never considered unclean, as some of the more rules oriented books of the ancient Talmud feel about dogs. One could safely adore a donkey for utilitarian purposes. "We, of course, need the Donkey."  My father-in-law, Buddy, fell in love with Judy's, his wife's, cocker spaniel mix. Bijou looked like a Cocker Spaniel Benji Dog. Buddy didn't admit this, he had a Labrador for hunting and affection. But on some days, one could find Buddy, during his retirement years, cooing and sitting on the floor, feeding and being with beautiful Bijou. 

In fact, my father-in-law, who had a seat on Wall Street, felt good deeds were best done in private. Utter privacy. So, no one would consider a brave man too soft or compliant. And Buddy cared for his literally 100-year-old grandmother, moving her a few blocks from his home, his four children, wife, several businesses, his mother, a great aunt and later any member of his family who needed his care. Their live-in maid was, actually, Buddy's Nanny, Mary. You can bet, no one on their neighborhood street, knew this. Mary and Buddy eventually had some altercation tiff. Mary decided to move to West Texas and be with her family. All were astonished. And one day the phone rang and a relative of Mary's said Mary was in the hospital with cancer. Buddy flew out, paid the hospital bill, discovered no one had visited Mary, took her back to Dallas and, later, paid for her burial and funeral, he arranged.  Buddy's mother loved parties and made literal bathtub gin. In their younger days, his flapper parents were always at a party. Mary found Buddy was hugging his mother's clothes goodnight every evening. And the die was cast and set.


Why people find Donkeys to be something to hold on to. 
Like David did for his donkey. They feel safe and filled with JOY! Smart Donkeys!

People ask Bible questions about Jesus and dogs. Did Jesus talk about dogs? 


Yes, and Jesus spoke of wanting to be the comfort of his flock.

Matthew 10:29

Jesus left Judea, went to Tyre, all knew Him and He went into a house to take shelter and teach. A woman came, from yet another country, and begged Jesus to heal her daughter from a demon. Jesus evidently knew something was not what Jews would consider Kosher going on. Jesus'  Words sound as if He knew something in her life was not as it should be. Something she wasn't saying.






Mark 7

24 And from there He arose and went away to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 

And He entered a house and did not want anyone to know, yet he could not be hidden. 25 But immediately a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit heard of him and came and fell down at his feet. 

26 Now the woman was a Gentile, a Syrophoenician by birth. And she begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter. 

27 And he said to her, “Let the children be fed first, for it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs.” 

28 But she answered him, “Yes, Lord; yet even the dogs under the table eat the children's crumbs.” 

29 And he said to her, “For this statement you may go your way; the demon has left your daughter.” 30 And she went home and found the child lying in bed and the demon gone.


We are all familiar with Mark 7 and the Canaanite woman's humble request.  The reference is that dogs are part of life. And are fed from the table. The comfort of a dog being at our feet. Our willingness to not store food for later use, but sharing of life sustenance. 

 In this time of entitlement for hurt feelings and wayward outspokenness, Jesus is saying He is willing. Jesus is there for those with loyalty, devotion and some humility. 

Dogs love beyond measure. 
One of our Springer Spaniel dogs loved, adored and followed our toddlers. One day, the child picked up a bat and let the old dog feel the bat as hard as he could. Human beings would be wary, to finished with the relationship. The old dog was pretty badly injured and I was ashamed the child had done this. 

We diligently explained and prayed and rubbed the dog's back.  We kept praying and hoping this Spencer dog's incredible love, loyalty and kindness would be repayed to Spencer by the Lord, with healing for his injured back. The Vet had not given a lot of hope. We would just rub his back and pray. That Spencer dog fully recovered. Boy Doggie. Lamb. Our Spencer always smiled. He was the smilingest dog ever. Spencer was just a dog who always felt Blessed. The Lord Jesus Christ was good to Spencer beyond his circumstances. And our small boy was given the comfort of forgiveness, on many of God's levels. A good soul.

This is Google photoshop entitled God's View. We hope & believe that God is more involved when we pray. We want God to be an accuser (of someone other than ourselves!), an excuser, a chooser, a blesser and a blessing when we pray.

As the top of the blog says, my family & I belong to AMIA (Anglican Mission Churches in the Americas) part of the Church of England. The Queen of England, Elizabeth II, is the Defender of the Faith as part of her duties she swore when she became Queen of England. The Defender of the Faith explained quite clearly and beautifully what the Christmas story really is. Queen Elizabeth II, explained to live and serve those in need as Jesus did, she asked her citizens and, by example, followers & believers of Jesus Christ, to follow His supreme example. I felt such gratitude it brought tears to my eyes. The Queen of England boldly spoke of Jesus and for Jesus.

Today, we had a very interesting sermon. The point remembered for this blog today, people fall into 4 categories: accusers, excusers, choosers, and blessers. Our priest made the point that we can all identify ourselves as one of the 4 parts, but we can choose a fifth category... to be a blessing. We can see that God is all 5 parts. We can also choose to climb out of our behaviour and become, truth with mercy, and be an accuser, an excuser, a chooser, a blesser and a blessing.

Acts 7:47-60

47 But it was Solomon who built a house for him. 48 Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made by hands, as the prophet says,

49 “‘Heaven is my throne,
and the earth is my footstool.
What kind of house will you build for me, says the Lord,
or what is the place of my rest?
50 Did not my hand make all these things?’

51 “You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you. 52 Which of the prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they killed those who announced beforehand the coming of the Righteous One, whom you have now betrayed and murdered, 53 you who received the law as delivered by angels and did not keep it.”

Job 39 ~ Depend on Him

This is the art of Kurt Wenner. Kurt Wenner can take an ordinary sidewalk and turn it into another dimension, 4th dimensional art - if we consider that the existing sidewalk is part of the art the artist added to it, creating another image. It becomes 5th dimensional art, if we consider falling into the abyss as part of time in life. His art is amazing: it is usually about falling into the great abyss, it is sometimes very disturbing and he is extremely talented. It is important what we put into our lives; it is important what opinions we allow ourselves to hold. It is important to know what direction we are headed. Proverbs 14:10 Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can share its joy.

Many times in life we are very blessed, we have these blessings from Father God, we would call those times wonderful. But in the difficult times, we still are comforted by Father God, & we learn from them.

Where is this bus going?

A drunken man gets on the bus late one night, staggers up the aisle, and sits next to an elderly woman. She looks the man up and down and says, "I've got news for you. You're going straight to hell!" The man jumps up out of his seat and shouts, "Man, I'm on the wrong bus!"

Job 39

1 “Do you know when the mountain goats give birth?
Do you observe the calving of the does?
2 Can you number the months that they fulfill,
and do you know the time when they give birth,
3 when they crouch, bring forth their offspring,
and are delivered of their young?
4 Their young ones become strong; they grow up in the open;
they go out and do not return to them.

5 “Who has let the wild donkey go free?
Who has loosed the bonds of the swift donkey,
6 to whom I have given the arid plain for his home
and the salt land for his dwelling place?

Job 38 ~ Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding.

This image of Jesus Christ was taken from using the Shroud of Turin. The unknown artist mapped the face on The Shroud with a three dimensional image, and this image was created from the map.

(A rare fact that what should be a one dimensional piece of cloth could allow this. Usually a blood stain on a 2 milleniums' old cloth would be one dimensional. Perhaps it is the unexplained radiation from the Shroud of Turin that explains the unexplained two dimensional image in human blood. Different tests in different depths of the fibers have different carbon dating. The oldest carbon dating, taken from cutting deeply into the fibers, places the Shroud at the time of Christ's death. Pope John Paul II requested and received a rare viewing of the Shroud. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Three dimensional images are created from two dimensions of images from the Shroud. The pictured image above of Jesus Christ is two dimesions. For example, a road map is one dimensional - the Shroud of Turin should be this, but the Shroud of Turin is in actuality two dimensions. A topographical map showing the heights of the map would be two dimensions. An image of Jesus showing the realistic planes of His face, but is a flat image would be two dimensions. The third dimension would be a simulation of the second dimension, like a map of Jesus's facial heights and contours, a computer simulation.)

Jesus, the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Jesus, the word of God, was with God in the beginning of creation.

In this life, we invite the Lord, (Father, Son & Holy Spirit) to live in our hearts. By faith, we believe that the word of God is true and written by men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say.

Job 38

1 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said:

2 “Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?
3 Dress for action like a man;
I will question you, and you make it known to me.

4 “Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth?
Tell me, if you have understanding.
5 Who determined its measurements—surely you know!
Or who stretched the line upon it?
6 On what were its bases sunk,
or who laid its cornerstone,
7 when the morning stars sang together
and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

8 “Or who shut in the sea with doors
when it burst out from the womb,
9 when I made clouds its garment
and thick darkness its swaddling band,
10 and prescribed limits for it
and set bars and doors,
11 and said, ‘Thus far shall you come, and no farther,
and here shall your proud waves be stayed’?

12 “Have you commanded the morning since your days began,
and caused the dawn to know its place,
13 that it might take hold of the skirts of the earth,
and the wicked be shaken out of it?
14 It is changed like clay under the seal,
and its features stand out like a garment.

Can you establish their rule on the earth?

34 “Can you lift up your voice to the clouds,
that a flood of waters may cover you?
35 Can you send forth lightnings, that they may go
and say to you, ‘Here we are’?
36 Who has put wisdom in the inward parts
or given understanding to the mind?
37 Who can number the clouds by wisdom?
Or who can tilt the waterskins of the heavens,
38 when the dust runs into a mass
and the clods stick fast together?

39 “Can you hunt the prey for the lion,
or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,
40 when they crouch in their dens
or lie in wait in their thicket?
41 Who provides for the raven its prey,
when its young ones cry to God for help,
and wander about for lack of food?


The reason should be clear, when you give it some thought. The little baby in the manger would not stay there. He would grow to be a man and become the greatest threat to those who oppose God that ever existed. Today, those who oppose God find the scene of the babe in a manger still threatening. They understand who He claimed to be and who others believe He is, and they reject those claims for their lives. Somehow they understand that to be confronted by Jesus means that one cannot remain neutral. He does not leave that option open for us.

John 5: 16 So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jews persecuted him. 17 Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working." 18 For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

Psalm 102: 25 In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth,
and the heavens are the work of your hands.

26 They will perish, but you remain;
they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
and they will be discarded.

27 But you remain the same,
and your years will never end.

28 The children of your servants will live in your presence;
their descendants will be established before you."

Revelation 14 ~ The Three Angels

Revelation 14

1 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. 3 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. 4 These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they kept themselves pure. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. 5 No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.

8 A second angel followed and said, "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great, which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries."

9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, 10 he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name." 12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.

13Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on."

"Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them."

14 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one "like a son of man" with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, "Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe." 16 So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.

17 Another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18 Still another angel, who had charge of the fire, came from the altar and called in a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, "Take your sharp sickle and gather the clusters of grapes from the earth's vine, because its grapes are ripe." 19 The angel swung his sickle on the earth, gathered its grapes and threw them into the great winepress of God's wrath. 20 They were trampled in the winepress outside the city, and blood flowed out of the press, rising as high as the horses' bridles for a distance of 1,600 stadia.


Matthew 25:21a His master replied, Well done, good and faithful servant!

Hebrews 12:5-13

7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father? 8 If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons. 9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live! 10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness. 11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.

Zechariah 2: 10-13

Mark 4:35-41 ~ Let us pass over unto the other side.

36And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

God does not see us from on high, safe in his own kingdom:

John 1: 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

John 1: 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. 11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God.
14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Some of the most beautiful imagery in the bible is in the book of Job, Jesus laughed in delight with the Father during Creation. God wanted more for His Son than safety, prosperity, and nice little view of the world during this lifetime. God wanted to give His Son more than Abraham; God wanted to give His Son eternity and a perfect, everlasting kingdom. And give this opportunity to all of His creation. He gave us the Holy Spirit.

John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send at my request, will teach you everything, and will bring to your memories all that I have said to you.

John 16: 33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Matthew 25:31-46 ~ Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, will sit on His throne in heavenly glory

During Advent. the season of preparing for the birth of God's Son; on December 22, 1988 we were blessed with the birth of our first child, a son. He is 19 today. As his parent, he was told this morning having known him for a long time, he was beautiful when he was a newborn and beautiful today. He is a gift from God, he is a blessing to us and has so many, many blessings to please his parents. He has free will, he aggravates his parents and gives them a challenge.

This brings to mind a bible study I wrote (but not Thee Author) for Junior High Students about creation, Genesis and the Sims. The Sims is a video game that you are the creator. Not many things in life are under our control, but God can do ALL things. Maybe the Sims is the video game equivalent to the movie, Bruce Almighty. As the Sims creator for your game, you design the Sim (person), you give your Sim personality, you decide what family to create for your Sim and assign those Sims (people) attributes, you build a house for your Sim & you get your Sim a job. The next part of the game is the Sim is hungry, ignores the family unless directed not to, the Sim has to be told to wake up, shower etc. The Sim's energy level decreases and for the first time, the Sim looks up to you, the creator, and begins to complain. After about 3 hours of the game, one starts to wonder if this is all there is. Psalm 8: 4 what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?

If at this point, you are thinking we are bad parents. Let me assure you that I LOVE my son. The Sim game is fun. But we are like the Sims. It is amazing when the first people created by God didn't shine and tap dance, that He didn't say something like game over and start again. As a parent, I want to protect my son, the birthday boy. But God had bigger plans for His only Son, Jesus Christ. He wants to save the world, to give you, all your children and His Son, eternity.

John 3: 5 Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, 'You must be born again.' 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."

Matthew 25:31-46

31"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

34 "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

37 "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?'

40 "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
41 "Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'
44 "They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'
45 "He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'
46 "Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

Let me add that my son spiritually pleases me and makes me proud. And from time to time, I pray for him that His Heavenly Father will do what I cannot do for him.

Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—


Ephesians 3: 14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.

Psalm 51 ~ Renew a right spirit within me

This is a marvelous image of Jesus Christ's birth. Without the purity of this baby, we could not hope for a Right, Holy Spirit within us. This holy child entered the world when there was trouble. It was only in the holy actions required of them - that a Way was found. Mary, the teenage girl, a virgin, dragged around the country, heavily pregnant, for a census she probably did not care much about by a new husband, who considered having her stoned to death. Joseph hears of this pregnancy, obviously not from Mary, when he hears of it he considers having Mary stoned to death; (we can infer the news giver wasn't pleased with Mary) Joseph opted for mercy and God sent him an angel. So, instead of the chaste little teenage girl he was engaged to, he is has a new bride pregnant with a holy child. And they are leaving, for many years, the town they've lived in. To Bethlehem, then to Egypt.

They arrive in a new city, obeying the authorities, to find they do not have a place to pay for and stay. The kindness of the new city puts them in a stable with a manger, a box or trough in a stable or barn from which horses or cattle eat. (We can infer that someone had a spare indoor room somewhere.) These are not the ideal conditions that any female would dream of to have her first child.

The reason Corregio's painting is so wonderful, the life-saving qualities: God would choose Mary to be the Mother of God, because she would love His Son. God chose Joseph to be the example of Fatherhood to Jesus because Joseph would have awe and love His Son. The people led to the birth of Jesus by God do not see this Holy Child in indifference.

We are not the eyes that witnessed this holy birth, but we are blessed today with the blessings of His birth & none of us stand righteous enough before God to deserve this eternal blessing.

Psalm 51

according to your steadfast love;
according to your abundant mercy
blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity,
and cleanse me from my sin!

3 For I know my transgressions,
and my sin is ever before me.

and my mouth will declare your praise.
16 For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it;
you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.
17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;
a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

18 Do good to Zion in your good pleasure;
build up the walls of Jerusalem;
19 then will you delight in right sacrifices,
in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings;
then bulls will be offered on your altar.

9 After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh. 12 And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
