Matthew 16:18 ~ on this rock, I will build My Church

So suppose you wanted to play the National Favorite Pastime of Build Your Cathedral.

First, you'd want to get all your fish in a row.

This photo, and the one of "The Lord Heals" is from Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, where my mother was not going to live, and Hospice arrived. Due to God's Plan, my mom went to exercise today and the grocery store and complained about the price of dry cleaning and got an ice cream cone. Thank You, Father God.







A Church is a sacred thing. We feel the Holiness and Goodness of Father God - Who would run to His prodigal child - me. You. And we are welcomed into His Warmth.  Warmth. This is a good and joyous thing, worthy of all of mankind to be received!  A fire within you. Warmth of Hearth and Home.

Today, I'm talking about a Cathedral.

I loved the novel  "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett. Seeing the goodness rise up of monasteries who had life long joy, satisfaction and Jesus Christ feeding, 'beering', educating, loving the community and finally, beginning, hospitals when plague arrived. And building Cathedrals over centuries. I just really enjoyed - This Book. And getting the picture of how hard life was when 1/3rd's of England starved to death under serfdom - realities of the true work of Christ set in. Valor of hard work and daily being part of communal life. Willing to do weeding, wedding, scrubbing, enduring communal rivalries, death from germs, forgiveness, wisdom and Love. No wonder Jesus loved vineyards.

Church is a very, very sacred thing of God.







Ok. Great. Bam. Cathedrals are works of God and take Centuries. And in the journey - can turn into works of Herod for the wrong reason. Popular and trendy to bash the empty Cathedrals of Europe. Forget - that. Cathedrals are for understanding the Beauty and Sacred Honor of Housing God. A glimpse of Heaven. A work of mankind to Honor God.

(PS Herod built the Royal Stoa and this was the infamous Money Changers Building Jesus threw out the people with whips from the of the 36 Acre Temple. Constantine and his beloved mother, 80-year-old, archaeologist seek was sent out,  Helena. {Constantine ended up giving his very elaborate tomb to his beloved mother to be seen today.} Then the First Vatican was an exact replica of the Royal Stoa. Om, oops? 4th Century until 16th Century. The Vatican of today designed by dream team architects: Donato Bramante (Renaissance master), Michelangelo, Carlo Maderno (Father of Baroque Architecture) and Gian Lorenzo Bernini (leading sculptor), well considered the holiest church in Christendom. From Pope Julius in 1506 to 1615.)










Ok, Let's Do That. Honor God.




Jesus being God, took His Disciples to Caesarea to see all the Roman buildings Herod had built to please his master, Caesar. It was inspired to explain where Jesus would build the Church none of the Disciples knew would exist.

and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it

Mount Moriah, meaning the chosen of Jehovah. This is where the Sacred Rock Abraham and Isaac were rescued by God.

And the Rock above Peter enabled his bones not to decay. 80 feet below the Vatican altar of both Vatican 1st Building - 4th Century to 16th and Vatican 2nd Building - 16th Century to today. The Bones tell us Peter was about 5' 6" tall, a bit plump, 62 years old and feet removed from his crucifixion cross.






Now let's consider Heaven.

When we really study Revelation, we are seeing something history did not see. This view of His Throne seemed sort of 'way out'.  Revelation,  we see God doing the inhalation of our prayers through smoke. Streams of Living Water. Emerald Green and Red. We find God is showing all of His Wisdom and Inspiration of Much Higher Thought. Almost scientific. Very Tree of Life and nature oriented.


And when we see Ephesians 2 we find families live in Heaven. And we live 'many will sit down at the table of Abraham and Isaac'. We are seeing Moses, Elijah and Jesus live together. The centuries are going to find a path to live together. The Bronze Age meets Hubble Telescope.

We are going to see Cathedrals have a Wonderful, Wonderful Place.

What if You could build a Cathedral???

Here goes mine!!! I need mine to be available. Daily.


We will start at the top. Jesus Christ and His gift to Father God - a new Heaven. And the Lord's Prayer - bringing more Heaven to earth. Some practicality.

Steeple. Yes. Look Up. God's Way. Jesus. High enough to bring encouragement for the people who pass by and are praying with Jesus.

Life High the Cross! The Cross of Jesus Christ Hymn!
May Jesus Christ dwell in our Hearts with His Love and Grace.

The Cathedral will bring in Nature. God's Good Creation.

What are the beams? Carved Styrofoam. Lighted, I'd hope.

And the floor? I guess we'd go with a white Limestone. Like the Rock.



Light of the World?

Very gentle and merciful. Too much color is not stained glass and is overwhelming.

And this transitions. Not during entering a Light filled Cathedral. The brilliant colors told to us of Heaven and the walls. However, Not after being filled and nourished by God of Love and Encouragement. Warmth. Warmth, Warmth.

And definitely, Not scary like this:

The parking lot? Definitely a golf cart tram. Long rides? So much the better! Chatty Charlie or Chattie Cathy create Fellows in a Ship. Fellowship.

And surrounding?

The Beauty of God's Earth. The grounds are Vineyard and Trees and Rocks and Water. Pleasing to Jesus who loved to sail, to walk and to greet His People.


The rest? Here is the Cathedral, Here is the Steeple. All we need are God's People!!!


In all seriousness, there are so many styles and ideas. We just cannot do all 3,000 pages of God's Word. This is the Light of one thought.

Most Churches are very, very Beautiful.

Just as paintings in a museum differ one from another - we would be utterly, utterly remiss not to Glorify God for His Goodness in His Bride - The Church. Be blessed with this idea from just me.

God's People coming to His Table to Worship Jesus Christ 

And know Holiness is His Word, His Church and His Love. Be filled with God's Love and Warmth.

This idea is really about using what we have and beginning new ideas.

God would never waste a hurt in life. It is Jesus who comforts us in all our affliction,

For as we share abundantly in Christ, we share abundantly in comfort
Thanking Jesus for John 14, 15, 16 and seeing His Joy in life.

Psalm 8

O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!

You have set your glory above the heavens.

2 Out of the mouth of babies and infants,
you have established strength because of your foes,
to still the enemy and the avenger.


3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him?


5 Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings
and crowned him with glory and honor.

6 You have given him dominion over the works of your hands;
you have put all things under his feet,
7 all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts of the field,
8 the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,

We are in the season of travel. And this year we are so blessed to have rain. And cooler temperatures. As I walked the dogs, people were all over enjoying the cool gift of a July that made you want to get out and see the Majestic sky.

Eventually, going to Church, you have a collection of memorable times Scripture was read and you realize you have connected to God. Sermons you will hear all your life. "What is man that You are mindful of him?" The Emotional Minister saying, "This is my Beloved Son Listen to Him." Blessing and watering the Church, water running as a blessing poured down, running over us and our lives.  Renewing. Redemption.

Hearing that life would bring us blessings to repeat. And repeat and Life would bring us our loved ones back to us. Echoing "Cry, the Beloved Country" Alan Paton explaining the brightness we see in others. The repeat rich and rewarding like the repeat of an Oriental Carpet. The Blessings God has stored for us and will give us in this life. Loved ones return in life.

And we are so required to pick up gratitude for what God gives us today. To search even the proverbial High and Low to see what God has renewed today. And see the abundance of His Blessings.

To see what God in His Willingness gives and gives and gives

What God pours into our soul - the times we reflect upon what He has placed in us to be God of Love. God of Encouragement. God of His Word. Living God. Living God Dwell in me. Every cell, all thoughts, every part, every place. Jesus the Lord God. The Almighty.


This is what God has placed in us. Home. God dwells in us, we find Home with God today. Always.

This is God quieting the storm. This is God making us comfortable with His Comforter. This is God wrapping us in His arms. This is the Helper.

This is getting through the difficult times. This is God making His Promises Live.



The Winds of Life may howl. Jesus will help. His Word says this is Truth.

16 For in Him all things were created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities. All things were created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.




Psalm 30

Abba God,

Thank You. Thank You for the goodness we have seen in the land of the living.
For Today and Tomorrow.

Abba Our Father.

Forgive us our sins. Grant that the Mercy of our Lord Father God Shines. Because in Your Mercy we are Redeemed. The warmth of our Father God running to the Prodigal.

Abba Our God, Giving us Jesus Christ God to cover us and give us His Peace.

The Glory of God shines our souls, to our lives. Blessing in Jesus Christ those we Love. We welcome Jesus to dwell here. God is Love.

In the People God had given to Pray for. We bless You Father God for yesterday, today and tomorrow. You are God. Eternal. Loving. Sure. Willing. Our Way, Truth and Life. Shine us from within!

We Ask with Joy and Verve for Jesus to pray with us and we ask in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Romans 8:28 ~ His Purpose

Have you ever looked through your papers you keep as important papers, and found a document from long ago? Held it in your hand and remembered the day, the time. I came across my father's birth certificate. He has been gone 24 years. The document had been typed on an old fashioned type writer and had the physician's signature. People had attended his birth and been so busy they were not sure if he was born late on the 11th of January or the brand new 12th. They had listed the 11th. My father had not enjoyed the lack of precision. He wanted to know. My grandmother, Bit, had not known this would be her first and last child - she hemorrhaged within a few minutes and was fortunate to have survived my father's birth. A little yellowing piece of paper and people and discussions are recalled.

The paper has outlasted my grandmother and father. Fragile, fragile piece of paper, old style type writer where papers routinely were torn getting them out of the machine. Outlasted a male baby human being and a young woman in her early twenties. I'd gladly trade the piece of paper for the people alive and with me again.



What would it be like to hold something King David and Solomon spoke of, planned for and blessed their own lives and the lives of their Nation and believers from 1000 B.C. to 546 B.C. The First Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem upon the Rock of Abraham. The beautiful piece of carved rock is from Solomon's Portico in the Second Temple. Which actually stood during the First Temple. When Jesus walked in Solomon's Portico, he was with pieces of the First Temple. The Chaldeans had thought the Portico was too beautiful. It had been very damaged and left.


Colonnade left from King Solomon's Portico. Could be from the First Temple used in the Second Temple. John 10:23. A portion of the Temple according to Josephus Antiquity of the Jews J. 5:5, section 1; Ant. 20:9, section 7, remained from Solomon's time. It rose from a great depth, occupying part of the valley, and supported by a wall 400 cubits high, formed of immense stones, some 20 cubits long. The Chaldeans spared it,  for the strength and beauty.  This is where the Remnant left from the Babylonian Exile worshiped. Jesus the Lord walked in its shelter.


Your eyes witness something King David and Solomon worked on for The Lord. You have seen Solomon's Portico where Jesus loved to be when He was in the Temple. And the Colonnade.

What if we could find something that told of Paul's Ministry? We really can.

No Foreigners - the Sign that Kicked off the Ministry of Paul

Paul was accused and this kick started his ministry. A fuss was needed so the Jews of the Temple of Jerusalem accused Paul of bringing Gentiles into the Temple. Paul would never have done this. And Paul ended up gaining an audience with Caesar. We find in Philippians 4, member's of Caesar's household became part of The Way of Jesus Christ.

God is so very, very interesting. Paul is falsely accused of bringing Gentiles into the Temple. And instead is credited with bringing the Gentile world to know about Jesus Christ, Savior of the world. God. Only God could do something like that. Acts 21 and 22. Jesus told Paul he would send him far away to the Gentiles. Jesus was right. And Paul was given the attention of the Jews to tell them what Jesus had said would happen. God brought that about - very, very nicely.

And Jesus sent Paul on his path with fanfare. Jesus is very interesting Himself. Very Interesting.

Acts 22

"17 “When I had returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, I fell into a trance 18 and saw Jesus saying to me, ‘Make haste and get out of Jerusalem quickly"

Horses were sent for Elijah. What would Jesus send for Paul to move with haste?

Acts 23
23 Then he called two of the centurions and said, “Get ready two hundred soldiers, with seventy horsemen and two hundred spearmen to go as far as Caesarea at the third hour of the night. 24 Also provide mounts for Paul to ride and bring him safely to Felix the governor.” 25 And he wrote a letter to this effect.

470 men and a good horse for Paul.In Heaven, Elijah will probably ask Paul about that.

Because of the work God commissioned in Paul through the Holy Spirit, The Roman Empire from 500 B.C. to the Eastern Roman Empire of 1475 A.D. knew Jesus Christ as Savior of Mankind. And thanks to the speech before the Temple, we know Jesus was the fear of Roman Emperors just 16 years after Jesus died.


1 Corinthians 2:7
we speak of the mysterious and hidden wisdom of God, which He destined for our glory before time began.



The mysteries we will learn in Heaven of God's Plan. His amazing, amazing plans.

Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.

Romans 11:29
For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable.


Romans 8:30
And those He predestined He also called, those He called He also justified, those He justified He also glorified.







Our Abba,

We remember Psalm 1 as we think of Paul. Paul regretted his sense of Justice over Mercy. Paul never forgot his own mercy need.

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers,

We know God delights in those whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.

That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

And we recall Paul and the early Church Acts 5 had prison, Acts 14 dealt with Zeus, Acts 19 fight with the Temple Artemis. Acts 21 Paul is arrested. Through out Acts, the crowd is stirred up. We know the Words of God are indeed fulfilled. And this is the Prosperity of God having His Word fulfilled. Faith to see God's Will and His Delight all the way through.

We ask You for Your Blessings and protection each day. And see Your Will with eyes of faith. Seeing the Joy of Jesus with His creation from Genesis 1 to Revelation. Rejoicing with the Living Word in the Gospels, Jesus makes time to be with His Beloved. Jesus makes time to heal. Jesus makes time to teach. The Word exists for just that Child of God. You are that Child of God and we pray for all who believe in Jesus Christ to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

We pray for all of God's Church to have an increase of the Holy Spirit. And we will rest and rejoice for God fills the ones we love with His Spirit. God fills the ones God gives us with His Spirit. God fill our bodies with long life and good health. God to fill our places of employment. God to fill our computers and devices. God to fill our city. Our State and Our Nation. God to fill all the Believers who call upon Jesus. Seeing Your Word fulfilled - the people who call upon Jesus.

We thank you for the parents of Charlie Gard for Your help in helping their boy. We pray the blessing of the Holy Spirit and we would bring and see the fathers support the sons. And in our actions, choices and deeds to see more of Your Heaven on earth. And all the people of God pray for the peace of God to reach us all and bring more of His Love daily part of our everyday life. In Jesus we pray, remembering the joy Jesus had in healing people individually. Amen.

John 14:1-3,13-17 ~ ask Me anything in My Name, I will do it

John 14:1-3,13-17

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”


Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

“If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.



Peace. To meet four medical concerns in two people. Another person to take on tremendous change and a move. And this is our family on Saturday July 22nd. To be part of a prayer answered in one of the people. To be part of God's plan for another. To have concern about the move.

The last time I had a Lipoma concern, my son was changing cities. And prayer was being answered. And now I have another Lipoma, while placing this in the same prayer category of answered prayer. I've had one we named Vanished and that Lipoma did utterly vanish. I am praying for this again - Vanished. Edward has had a testicular issue since he was 28 and it was never supposed to change and he has found 3 additional lumps - could be the same benign vein. My son is changing cities and we are puzzled about the debt for his Graduate School.



John 14 suits this part of life perfectly!

Abba,

We will not be troubled. We will pray for God's House to be pleased. You, God will arrange this to be placed to please You, Our Father. And we know the direction of Jesus is Good. A Hope and a Future.

We will ask Jesus for continued healing and the healing not to require surgery. We will ask my son to plan his life with the Blessing of God. We will keep His Commandments and recall His Blessings that at times have been so astonishing we have cried with gratitude for the Lord God Almighty, Our Father, to answer with such Mercy. 

We will ask for more of Father God's mercy over the coming years. And rely upon His Goodness. And when we are not sure what to pray, know God will bless us with the intervention of the Holy Spirit going deeply into our souls and dwelling there to return the prayers to Father God in His Home of Emerald Green. 

Blessings of mediation from Jesus Christ our God and Lord. The Willingness of Father God's goodness. We have the assurance of our prayers heard in the Kingdom of God by You, Father.  Blessings of Your Steadfast Mercy.

Jesus with us each day. Jesus with our loved ones each day. The Holy Spirit dwell in us richly and find the Joy Jesus has each day. Welcome Holy Spirit of God, Welcome. We pray for our Nation and for the believers around the world. More Heaven on earth. Jesus in the Holy Spirit dwelling within us.

We pray to stretch out each day to being of Your Joy and service. Gratitude for today, long life good health, a Jesus and Revelation Chapter One close.

Philippians 4

4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; 6 do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me—practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

10 I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at length you have revived your concern for me. You were indeed concerned for me, but you had no opportunity. 11 Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. 12 I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

14 Yet it was kind of you to share my trouble.

Luke 2:13-14 ~ Glory to God

Luke 2:13-14

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14“Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”


Pretty familiar words. Words to remember and rejoice.

And this is familiar:


Isaiah 6

I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him stood the seraphim. Each had six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3And one called to another and said:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
the whole earth is full of his glory!”

4And the foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. 5And I said: “Woe is me! For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!”

Lord Jesus always cover us with Your Righteousness.
So many things today are understood more clearly. So many archaeological discoveries in the last years. The man healed of blindness is healed by Jesus in the way we know today of brain injury recovery. The boat immediately at the other side - quantum physics. The Hubble Telescope explains smoke in the Temple and Heaven.

Surely we must see the Throne of God in new understanding. With glee - God is about the beauty of the earth we know and the magnificence of the Universe. Glory that man mimics in things like fireworks and rock operas and Heavenly Choirs. God fully understands why we would turn the radio up as loud as we could to be shaken by sound.

Heaven might be baffling to the chariot and covered wagon people - yet we have an understanding of the Roar of Magnificence.

Then he led me to the gate, the gate facing east. 2 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel was coming from the east. And the sound of his coming was like the sound of many waters, and the earth shone with his glory. 3 And the vision I saw was just like the vision that I had seen when he came to destroy the city, and just like the vision that I had seen by the Chebar canal. And I fell on my face. 4 As the glory of the Lord entered the temple by the gate facing east, 5 the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the temple.

6 While the man was standing beside me, I heard one speaking to me out of the temple, 7 and he said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the people of Israel forever.

Matthew 17
2 There he was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and his clothes became as white as the light.

These are passages of Scripture that begin to reflect the Glory of God. From Daniel, Ezekiel, Isaiah and Paul - these men of Scripture have been this close to Our Father God Almighty in His Kingdom. John reports in Revelation the Father shone with His face not seen to John.

We read Father God has dotted Heaven with objects we readily understand like trees and bright, shining water running right by His Throne.

Revelation 22
Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of God and of the Lamb, 2 in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Not just the resplendence of the Seraphim above our Lord Father God. And the awe of the Universe bring forth stars - we learn of the importance of all our senses.

Revelation 8
And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rose before God from the hand of the angel. Then the angel took the censer and filled it with the fire of the altar, and threw it to the earth; and there followed peals of thunder and sounds and flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

We know today our magnetosphere connects all the earth's lightning and the sun's flairs are intact to our lightning.

Revelation 4 has an amazing, brilliant splendor - spectacular, exaltedness of our God.

John sees a door standing and open to Heaven. The people our Father God has returned from Heaven tell us not just a door - indeed a door - a dimension falls away.

After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven!

And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.”

This is a familiar voice - the voice of Jesus saying breakfast is fixed on the beach after Jesus has Triumphed over Crucifixion. A Voice of Love. Come up here!

Like the journey of Paul, who was "caught up to the third heaven" and "heard inexpressible things, things that man is not permitted to tell" 2 Corinthians 12:2

At once I was in the Spirit, and behold!

A throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne.

And he who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald.

Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders, clothed in white garments, with golden crowns on their heads.

From the throne came flashes of lightning, and rumblings and peals of thunder,
and before the throne were burning seven torches of fire,
which are the seven spirits of God,
and before the throne there was as it were a sea of glass, like crystal.

These God asked of Solomon to place on the Temple Curtain.


And around the throne, on each side of the throne,
are four living creatures,
full of eyes in front and behind:
the first living creature like a lion,
the second living creature like an ox,
the third living creature with the face of a man,
and the fourth living creature like an eagle in flight.


And the four living creatures, each of them with six wings, are full of eyes all around and within, and day and night they never cease to say,

“Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty,

who was and is and is to come!”

Creation - chosen, created, special, with a purpose of God. All of creation waits. Birds, flowers, fish, trees, animals - great and small. For the revealing of the Sons of God.

Romans 8
This present time - not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the anxious longing all of creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.

God answers us - if life is a test to reveal our hearts - God has subjected us to hope.

20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope.

Life is sufficient each day when we look to the blessings. And still, each day has mundane aspects to maintain a regular life - this is when faith and hope call to us, unseen. We build a life in the small moments.



Father God, I want to be in that number!
And with each day, draw our hearts to 
be
a pleasing, inviting, favorable place
for Your Holy Spirit to dwell!!!
