Luke 12:1-7
4 “I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do. 5 But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him! 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? And not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not; you are of more value than many sparrows.

How do we please God?
Knowing the secrets of our hearts are His. Giving Justice with Mercy. Being humble.
Honoring God. Honoring others and not forgetting ourselves.
The concept - I am third is incorrect!
This comes from thinking we all heave ourselves to the top. Actually, the Bible tells us honor others as ourselves.
A shared concept.
There is a story of a poor newlywed couple at Christmas. The wife cut off all her hair for her husband to have a component to his hobby equipment. The Husband sold all his hobby equipment to buy all the beauty accessories to place in his wife's beautiful hair.
1 Corinthians 13 is perfect love. Psalm 100 is as well.
With God all secrets of our hearts are seen and known.
With human beings, questions need to be asked.
A wife always gives her children and husband the best in life. She eventually sits behind in the adventures in life.
A mother tells her child - go with friends to the football game at Thanksgiving, almost every year. When the mother dies, the adult child has been invited to vacation with friends and knows her mother would want her enjoyment.
Good intentions - bad results. God thinks your life is worth knowing in such great detail - He knows about our hair. Asking for no respect, will indeed have the effect of - no love.
Respect is what we owe; love, what we give.
Philip James Bailey
Psalm 33
Shout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous!
3 Sing to him a new song;
play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.
4 For the word of the Lord is upright,
and all his work is done in faithfulness.
5 He loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.
13 The Lord looks down from heaven;
he sees all the children of man
Ephesians 1:11-14
In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it to the praise of his glory.
Mankind has a way of upholding traditions of men. Jesus had a whole lot of this figured out when He walked among us full of Grace upon Grace. Walking a better path.
Are we sure this Jesus is God? Look what the Disciple John wrote after following Jesus:
The Ryland Papyrus in Manchester, England is from 90 A.D. John's Gospel. Bishop Papias of Hierapolis wrote his History of Jesus while John was alive in 103 A.D. as an aged and active man. Isaiah 47 explains why Jesus would ask the disciple who remained by Him to take care of His Mother.
1 John 1
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— 2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— 3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.
Father God, John knew You bring Joy. You know all of us - all our variations, flaws and sins. Where would we go, Father, other than You? Your Words give Life. Both Peter and John knew Life was Yours. Give us the Day, Jesus!
From the beginning Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Amos, Solomon and Paul have written saying you are the Word of Life. Long life is from honoring You. We honor and serve You Lord your God with joyfulness and gladness of heart, remembering the abundance of what You have Given. A very good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, Living Water flowing in abundance.
Lord Father GOD make us mindful of the blessings we would never wish to depart!!! In Jesus. Amen.
