Matthew 7:1-6
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
3 “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? 4 How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.
6 “Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces."
Yesterday, I was forgiven. Held and hugged, because Edward who forgave me is noble knowing he is imperfect. And when you are forgiven - you are enlightened, again, seeing the true character of the forgiver. Forgiveness given and received.
Expectation. God expects us to see HIM as good. Forgiveness opens up new paths. We all want our narrow path life to have more and more blessings. An open heart lets in more Light.
Forgiveness. We debate and debate if God really wanted Abraham to kill Isaac. I vote a solid no. I vote Abraham would have had more of God's grace if he'd said, "No. You are God. You have the power in Your Word. You promised this son and I expect You to be Merciful." Abraham had famously argued before, for lives, and I believe he should have argued. God cleans up this sad series of events by being Merciful without Abraham's argument. I think God wanted us all to say, God IS more merciful than that.
Forgiveness with this passage indicates discernment. Jacob never was asked for forgiveness from his sons. Jacob delivered a blessing and departed to God. Reuben was understood by Jacob to stand apart from him.
Owwww. Ouch. When your own heart and expectations are fed back to you. This is the perfect opportunity to say - talk to me. Be honest, be truthful. Truth is said to do this:
Ecclesiastes 1:18
For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.
That is true. Jesus tells us He is Truth. Simply put, we want to be where Jesus is. This is the narrow, meaningful path leading us to Jesus.
Leading us to - again - the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. We just don't know when our change will occur.
The recent study of 2,600 people returning from being brain dead and knowing peace - seeing dimensions fade, people they know and love - seeing their reactions, and returning to say - they have seen Heaven. We want to obtain entrance to Heaven. Where God sees us, loves us and will know us.
Our seats are not God's. We might want them to look like God sits there, however we are not to judge.
God works vastly beyond what we can perceive.
Jacob was not capable to judge even Reuben. Jacob correctly followed what God tells us to flee from. God is much more in touch with the ones He loves.
Revelation 3 We will want to be
dressed in white, for they are worthy. 5 The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels.
Acts 13
38 “Therefore, my friends, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you. 39 Through him everyone who believes is set free from every sin, a justification you were not able to obtain under the law of Moses.
Luke 12:7
Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Mark 1:15
"The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God has come near.
Repent and believe the good news!"
