Song of Songs
Let him lead me to the banquet hall, and let his banner over me be Love.
Isaiah 32:8
He who is noble plans noble things, and on noble things he stands.
Psalm 20
May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble!
May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!
2 May he send you help from the sanctuary
and give you support from Zion!
3 May he remember all your offerings
and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah
4 May he grant you your heart's desire
and fulfill all your plans!
5 May we shout for joy over your salvation,
and in the name of our God set up our banners!
May the Lord fulfill all your petitions!
6 Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed;
he will answer him from his holy heaven
with the saving might of his right hand.
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
8 They collapse and fall,
but we rise and stand upright.
9 O Lord, save the king!
May he answer us when we call.
We all love miracles. And love when God shows up. Doing the work of Faith is actually what this takes. Believing when we don't see the evidence adding up, God is at work.
We trust in the name of the Lord our God - Jesus the Lord
I'd love to start this True Story of True Texan Christianity off with a joke like an Archbishop walked into a bar, but then it wouldn't be true.
So, let's go with Truth.
A Very, Large Texas City (in the last 15 years) had a Very, Large Population in a Large Church with a well known denomination. A Church Pillar of a Texas City.
Enter: A New York City Minister, Pastor, Priest to run the Church. A joyous man.
And he ran into something immediately that John Paul II ran into. The Rules. The Law. The Fiddler on the Roof. The Tradition.
Now, what Pappa did was he said, "That was the way we used to do this! Now, I am the Pope."
Doesn't work so well in the other Churches. Not even if you are from New York City.
And our newly Southern, Texan, formerly from New York City looked at all the traditions and all cherished jobs and all the rituals. And of course he just simplified it, right?
Indeed not. He decided like the 12 Open Gates of Heaven, The Churcn needed more banners. And our newly Southern Man of God stood one Sunday and shook every one's hand of the thousands in the congregation. And this Man of God said, "What we need is for you to come next Sunday, could you carry a Banner?" People were thrilled. And to some he said, "I need you to read the Word of God." To others he said, "We are reading the Old Testament from the middle of the Church can you carry the Big Bible?" " Can you process with the Bible and the reader and take turns reading and carrying the Word of God?" And he continued to do this with the Old Testament, the Psalm and the New Testament.
He decided the altars needed more volunteers and he made sure there was more to polish.
You should have seen the people with the smiles - they were getting to Light the Torch. Not of the Olympics, but for Jesus the Lord.
The Reverend Bill Hull says something to this effect. The Doors of the Church are open. This is where - we learn - to love one another.
John 13:34
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
Let the true Tithe be the Love, Jesus has shown us. God will supply all our needs in Jesus the Lord.

Galatians 3:5-9
Does he who supplies the Spirit to you and works miracles among you do so by works of the law, or by hearing with faith —
6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?
6 just as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”?
7 Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. 8 And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you shall all the nations be blessed.” 9 So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.
And Abraham's blessing led to ours in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Luke 10:23
Then turning to the disciples he said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see! 24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
And what does Jesus tell us He gives us when we call. A relationship.
John 21:10-13
When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish.
Psalm 68:19
Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation.
Father God,
This is a true statement and worthy of all of mankind to be received.
Jesus Christ Died to Save Sinners.
May the Glory of God be what I strive for. May the Love of Christ be the Strength of my Joy. May the Mercy of Jesus be the only righteousness I know to be mine. May the Words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing and acceptable, to You, Lord Father God.
Jesus, the Rock and Salvation I hope for the world and for those I love so dearly.
Amen.
