Isaiah 12
In that day you will say:
“I will praise you, Lord.
Although you were angry with me,
your anger has turned away
and you have comforted me.
2 Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and not be afraid.
The Lord, the Lord himself, is my strength and my defense;
he has become my salvation.”
3 With joy you will draw water
from the wells of salvation.
4 In that day you will say:
“Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;
make known among the nations what he has done,
and proclaim that his name is exalted.
5 Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;
let this be known to all the world.
6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion,
for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.”
We began our Church Service today praying for the victims killed, the victims injured and the families of those harmed by the shooting of 53 and the wounding of 50 in Orlando. We asked Father God to comfort all the people affected by the violence to have the Mercy God willingly gives.
Later after singing, reading of the Word of God and prayers - the worship - the Sermon began as the rain began. We prayed the Thunder would happen to be a blessing from Father God. (Like Lightning struck the Vatican twice - hours after Pope Benedict XVI's resignation. Lightning, in the Word of God, is referred to as The Lord Speaking, not necessarily ominous.) Immediately, we had a roll of Thunder. All were very pleased. And Father God received joy from our congregation!
We felt so good telling the Grace of Father God. Undeserved. Pervasive. Jesus is God is Love.
At my house - more of yesterday's Blog Post. Today, the ducks of yesterday returned.
Truly, remarkable. To go where yesterday, was so terrible. Brave of them.
To believe what was offered, initially, was good. Being wild ducks, they could fly. However, being smarter than the ducks, our food was not offered again and we waited for the ducks to clear out. The coast was not clear when the dog could still attack. The grand -doggie stayed inside.
God has given examples of David shepherding. And we realize we are here to care for those around us.
Proverbs 31:8
Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute.
Destitute.
Orlando, Florida.
The violence has made people destitute. Not just in Orlando, not only in Florida, but a worried population.
Loibl, 27, traveled to Orlando, 107 miles, with intent to kill Christina Grimmie from NBC's 'The Voice,' said police. The report adds Grimmie and Loibl did not know each other. Loibl didn't have a gun permit or a criminal record. His insane rantings were removed from the internet shortly after the crime. Loibl's computer and cell phone shows motivation: His hatred of Christians in general and of the young female Christian singer.
50 killed, shooter Omar Mateen pledged ISIS allegiance. Fifty Americans were killed and 53 were injured in a terrorist attack at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
Father God,
Let us hold true to what we have attained. We have a world reeling with opinions. A left vastly separated from the right.
Salvation in Jesus tells us a heart loving God Almighty is centered. Not too far to the left, nor the right. Allowing freedom of expression to God. The Psalms cover all manner of abuse, hardship and truly deep heart aches. The Book of Proverbs tells us from 700 B.C. - a heart tragedy leads so far down - death can occur just from heart ache. A medical fact recently 'discovered'.
In understanding this severe level of human endurance and human suffering - people are encouraged to express their opinions. Not to stifle emotions. Asking for real care to be sought for the dead, the mourners, the injured, the shooters, the people who listened to the shooter and were helpless.
To tell anyone their heart felt opinion in this is not emotionally correct, is Needed. We are allowed and shown in the Psalms the depth of human concerns.
These hate crimes do not come from Loving a God of "strict morality."
These hate crimes come from not allowing emotion to be alright to be expressed. Letting the emotion out, heard, healed to become fully understood and able to be brought into the compassion, the true Compassion of a Loving Father God.
True Salvation says we have all fallen. Going back again to 700 B.C. - Ecclesiastes 7 tells us men and women are fallen. King Solomon understood we live in a fallen world. Solomon traveled far down this path.
In Father God's eyes, He sees us all uncovered, all with flaws, mistakes, sins.
And His reaction Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow to our inner core is to want to save the World through Jesus Christ. We have to decide to Choose Jesus the Lord. To be centered on the God of Love, Mercy. Forgiveness.
All of these extremes are shocking to so many people, and not shocking to Father God.
God is not pacing Heaven worrying how this can be solved. Father God who is Love. Understands. Has Mercy, Compassion, Love are in His Plan
All 12 Gates of Heaven are open. His attributes, His Creation, His Love - all are of this journey is covered in His Word.
We who are ok , today, should remember, Brothers, Sisters, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
In the Love of Jesus Christ, we will continue to have Hope, Faith and Love. Always. His Promises are sure. Amen.
