Romans 12:2-21
The will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
For by the grace given to me, I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Let love be genuine.
Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.
Rejoice with those who rejoice,
weep with those who weep.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.
Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.
If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.”
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
In the Garden of Gifts generously given by Father God to each of us.
How will we recognize these Gifts to make lives brighter and having more expectation of the day, the daily bread, each morning His Mercies renew... Having the certainty of Gifts by faith, not living with so much of life, causing the weeds choke us out from His Light. Pride, not being consumed with self. Having a generous regard for the total well-being of all. Having community, considering the Body of Christ with loyalty.
What would be the flaw in living with this faith of Gifts? The work of faith can become heavy with the same gift as yesterday, becoming indifferent and callus to the blessing. The grass is perpetually different on the other side. Hmm.
We could encapsulate all the renewal of the Joy of Living, live in harmony, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
Let Love be genuine. Charming, has its heaviness within.
Honor. Cleanliness? Maybe, but more about zeal and zest for Give Us This Day. Hope. Pray!
Put aside self to take chances on Hospitality. Contribute to those in need. Show honor.
Sometimes we feel Jesus has gone to sleep in the Boat. We need some spectacular display to bring us into the energy of something that looks like a bold meteor shower.
We want more of the Gifts God would give us to Renew and Embolden to have the joy we know we have had.
And then remember with me, there is no Gift of Heaven, mankind won't throw a situation, an opportunity for a solution, or a sorrow into. The Scriptures are absolutely real about life and anger and situations. And the answer to these situations, God. Prayer. Learning the wisdom of God and delighting in His Gifts. The Gifts God gives us create our strength in the Joy of the Lord. The conflict in life is the tapestry we want God to interweave, all things for Good for those who believe in the Lord and work according to His Purpose.
The Bible tells us:
1 Corinthians 12:31
Earnestly desire the higher gifts.
And I will show you a still more excellent way.
1 Corinthians 13:1
If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels,
but do not have love,
I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
Without abiding in Love
why
would God be interested?
Play to your strengths

1 John 3:14
We know that we have passed out of death into life,
because we love the brothers.
Whoever does not love abides in death.
1 John 3:17
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need,
yet closes his heart against him,
how does God's love abide in him?
1 John 4:12
No one has ever seen God; if we love one another,
God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
1 John 4:16
So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us.
God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God,
and God abides in him
