The Top of the Ark of the Covenant. God's Mercy Seat.
Numbers 17:6-11
6 So Moses spoke to the children of Israel, and each of their leaders gave him a rod apiece, for each leader according to their fathers’ houses, twelve rods; and the rod of Aaron was among their rods. 7 And Moses placed the rods before the Lord in the tabernacle of witness.
8 Now it came to pass on the next day that Moses went into the tabernacle of witness, and behold, the rod of Aaron, of the house of Levi, had sprouted and put forth buds, had produced blossoms and yielded ripe almonds. 9 Then Moses brought out all the rods from before the Lord to all the children of Israel; and they looked, and each man took his rod.
10 And the Lord said to Moses, “Bring Aaron’s rod back before the Testimony, to be kept as a sign against the rebels, that you may put their complaints away from Me, lest they die.” 11 Thus did Moses; just as the Lord had commanded him, so he did.
The Budding Almond Branch was in the Ark of the Covenant.
Exodus 37:17
They made the lampstand of pure gold. They hammered out its base and shaft, and made its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms of one piece with them.
Exodus 37:19
Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms were on one branch, three on the next branch and the same for all six branches extending from the lampstand.
Exodus 37:20
And on the lampstand were four cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms.
Exodus 37:22
The buds and the branches were all of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.
The Exodus was filled with woes and hardships. When the people began to share, give and build up - each other and literally create and build - then the Exodus wasn't so terrible. Aaron's Branch was to be celebrated. Digging deep to find the Wonders of God and place this in their lives and not forget. The miracle wasn't swept aside as unimportant - instead held to be of God.
The Daily Wage
Exodus 38:26
One beka per person, that is, half a shekel, according to the sanctuary shekel, from everyone who had crossed over to those counted, twenty years old or more, a total of 603,550 men.
Exodus 38:25
The silver obtained from those of the community who were counted in the census was 100 talents and 1,775 shekels, according to the sanctuary shekel –
Work and funds were put into the Sanctuary. We can see eyewitness accounts of what we are reading in the Arch of Titus in Rome.
The Arch of Titus is here today because Catholic Popes in the 6th and 8th Century refurbished this record. Like Exodus 37, hard times led to restoration of many important things. A time period when the Roman Empire, vanished from Rome, was upheld by Catholics supporting the Old Testament of Jewish History. When 300 years earlier, Jews were killed and Christians.
We have this important record for the histories and the people reaching to each other and embracing the past to make the future.
Abba,
We pray to Bloom even in difficult seasons. Leaning to Your Mercy and Love.
Luke 13
1 There were some present at that very time
who told him about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 And Jesus answered them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered in this way?
3 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them:
do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem?
5 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”
Repentance, Regrouping causing the Mercy of God
6 And he told this parable: “A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it and found none. 7 And he said to the vinedresser,
‘Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none.
Cut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’
‘Look, for three years now I have come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and I find none.
Cut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’
8 And he answered him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on dirt. 9 Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.’”
Jesus did not just tell of seeds and figs that were not fruitful, Jesus spoke of Mercy and working with times we only hope to prosper. Help us to have mercy on each other. Help us to repent of anger and brains we know are weakened with illness and worry. Help us to strengthen weak knees and frail hands.
Exodus 39:32
So all the work on the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, was completed. The Israelites did everything just as the LORD commanded Moses.
2 Corinthians 5
5 For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
2 For in this tent we groan, longing to put on our heavenly dwelling
Romans 8:26
And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness.
For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.
We find in this time, we are fine and fine and fine and suddenly we realize we want life to be different from this season. And we strive for the words to tell God and don't want to whine.
Jairus' daughter
Exodus 40:34
Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting,
and the glory of the LORD
filled the tabernacle.
We will take the strength of God and find:
Hebrews 11:3
By faith, we understand
the universe was formed at God's command,
so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.
Hebrews 11:27
he persevered because he saw him who is invisible
Hebrews 11:2
This is what the ancients were commended for.
As we read and pray this, we know our God, Our Father God has seen our prayers
like Nathaniel under the fig tree.
Blessed to pray and be heard.
When our prayers seem too large to pray, we remember Abraham
lived in the Promised Land in a tent. And realize, that Tent was known and seen.
Father in Your Strength,
we will fine More Heaven on earth and
see You first.
We will place those we love confidently in Jesus Christ.
We ask in the Name of Jesus for Your Help.
Jesus help us in this Nation to be in Your Word and more Joyful.
