A Song of Ascents
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!
2 O Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleas for mercy!
3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?
4 But with you there is forgiveness,
that you may be feared.
5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
6 my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.
7 O Israel, hope in the Lord!
For with the Lord there is steadfast love,
and with him is plentiful redemption.
8 And he will redeem Israel
from all his iniquities.
Behold, the Lamb of God
John 1:29
The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said,
“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!
Revelation 10:3
And he gave a loud shout like the roar of a lion.
When he shouted, the voices of the seven thunders spoke.
Jesus and the money changers of the Temple
Romans 13:4
He is God's servant for your good.
But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain.
For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God's wrath on the wrongdoer.
Isaiah 11:6
The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat,
and the calf
and the lion and the fattened calf together;
and a little child shall lead
Isaiah 35:9
No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon,
it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there
Isaiah 65:25
The wolf and the lamb shall graze together;
the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent's food.
They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,”
says the Lord.
1 John 2
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.
But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments.
When we think of the Lion will lie down with the Lamb, we see they dwell together.
Heaven is when the Salvation of Jesus Christ is manifest with the Children of God.
This is where Jesus advocates for the faithful. Hebrews always reminds us God rewards those who have looked and sought for Him. The Lamb of God lets the Lion of the Tribe of Judah become fulfilled.
Does this cancel the miracle of the species in Heaven. No, this is the Living Word of God where all things are possible.
Isaiah 65
“For behold, I create new heavens
and a new earth,
and the former things shall not be remembered
or come into mind.
18 But be glad and rejoice forever
in that which I create;
for behold, I create Jerusalem to be a joy,
and her people to be a gladness.
19 I will rejoice in Jerusalem
and be glad in my people;
no more shall be heard in it the sound of weeping
and the cry of distress.
20 No more shall there be in it
an infant who lives but a few days,
or an old man who does not fill out his days,
for the young man shall die a hundred years old,
and the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed.
21 They shall build houses and inhabit them;
they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
22 They shall not build and another inhabit;
they shall not plant and another eat;
for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be,
and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands.
23 They shall not labor in vain
or bear children for calamity,
for they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the Lord,
and their descendants with them.
24 Before they call I will answer;
while they are yet speaking I will hear.
25 The wolf and the lamb shall graze together;
the lion shall eat straw like the ox,
and dust shall be the serpent's food.
They shall not hurt or destroy
in all my holy mountain,”
says the Lord.
