A Psalm of David.
1 LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory in the heavens.
2 Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.
3 When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 What is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
5 You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.
6 You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet:
7 all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, 8 the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea,
all that swim the paths of the seas.
9 LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
The Prodigal Son is our Story.
God has put in His Plan for our Hope and Future. The ability to be exactly who we are to show God what we will do with the Talents He has given us. What we will do with - today.
I was looking at the Post from 2019. Thanksgiving Remembrance.
Last week I was up early with our old Jackson dog calling for attention for being elderly. The sunrise was both beautiful and ordinary. Life was exciting to see the sun come up. To be enjoying the beauty of a new day. For the old dog to still be lumbering along and equally enjoying the new morning and the beautiful and ordinary sunrise. Breakfast would be with those I love. God's Mercy was spiritual, physical and emotionally Renewing.
I was reminded to take hold of each moment of Beauty and Glory. The rest of the day was tremendous rain, but I'd seen an hour of beautiful sun rising up. And the rain was welcomed as freezing temperatures would be arriving during the week. The rain bolstering the Wonderous Pine Forest of the Gulf of Mexico stretching from East Texas to the Atlantic shores of South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.

2 Corinthians 3:17
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is freedom.
The Prodigal Son is our Story.

And all of this is an analogy for being grateful for what God is doing in our lives. And with Gratitude having Thanksgiving pour into us to be reminded of the Larger Picture and Plan God has for us. In our beautiful and ordinary moments.
Today we went to Dallas. We arrived in Dallas to move my mother's things from her Care Facility to her home. And the truck rental place had lost the reservation. To the next place, same situation. Let's say that upset was a kind word for Edward, he felt it would be better not to be where Mother died and unloading her things, when we did this in July for her to have a better view and upgraded her room. Pleasing the living is one thing, being where she died was another. Sorrowful.
I was tempted to have what we all might call marital discord, but I had to agree with Edward. This was going to be bleak. Unhappy. Making Memories. Sad. Unpleasant. Pretty wretched really. If Edward was upset, he was only acting out how I knew I felt.
We really enjoy and like the man who has worked with my mother in her invalid years to help us keep her home up from 2016-March of 2021. He was already waiting for us at her Care Facility. Let's say the hamburger, to rethink this move, was in midtown Dallas and the patio weather is why Texas is grand. Our friend Bruce is going to move her for us. We are getting to, only arrive at her house, on the 3rd move of my mother's. Our 4th moving truck in 7 months. November is really Thanksgiving.
Father God has given us this tremendous freedom every day to find Gratitude.
Gratitude holds no regrets. And is fuel for the day. Some days take up to an hour to find genuine gratitude. The days we search for what God could say, are more meaningful. A recent Sunday, I turned on the radio and the song was saying Jesus had Joy. I thought, why would Jesus have joy today, my mom is passing away today. I sat and listened and thought. The next song sang, "He makes all things New." My mother is being made new. To know the Hills and Highways of Heaven. The last ten years with Mother being so ill with Alzheimer's is washed, and remembering the good years with understanding life better is a path for a good tomorrow.
Our Abba, Father,
You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them.
You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.
You are God of all grace, calling us to Your glory in Christ eternal.
You will, Yourself, restore us and make us strong, firm and steadfast.
Renewing us daily.
Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, You are for us.
Cover us, the ones we Love and You Love with the Strong Name of Jesus.
Dwell in us.
Help us to seek You first
and finish well.
Covering all of us, the world, Your Good Creation, You want to save in Jesus Christ.
Knowing we are very Blessed in Jesus.
Being blessed, knowing all the world prays for more of Your Heaven on earth. Amen in the Highest Name of Jesus Christ.
