Matthew 9:18-26
While he was saying these things to them, (there was no need of fasting near Jesus, Matthew 14:17) behold, a ruler came in and knelt before him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”
19 And Jesus rose and followed him, with his disciples.
20 And behold, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, 21 for she said to herself, “If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.”
22 Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.” And instantly the woman was made well.
Remember, when waters are stirred by God for healing, ask in Prayer with Faith.
23 And when Jesus came to the ruler's house and saw the flute players and the crowd making a commotion, 24 he said, “Go away, for the girl is not dead but sleeping.” And they laughed at him.
25 But when the crowd had been put outside, He went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.
26 And the report of this went through all that district.
Behold!
Basically, the events in Matthew's Gospel today are miraculous and explained only by Jesus as God's Son. The high, Jairus as Synagogue Ruler, healed, far from being part of the everyday part of Jesus and the huge crowd following. The Mercy of God. The low, the unclean woman who grasped healing, with faith, was healed. The Power of God and His Word changes the unchangeable. The girl and the woman were dying. Without Jesus, this would be two more graves.
Eventually, we all die. The Scriptures tell us we will encounter Jesus.
John did. We all will. The miraculous only explained by His Word.
60 years from the death of Jesus, John was sent to Patmos. Jesus died during Pontius Pilate. So Roman History 33 AD, Roman Emperor Titus Flavius "Domitianus" sent John to Patmos about 95 AD. John was Old. This is recorded by Secular Historians of the Roman Empire.
One Sunday, the walls fell away, like near-Death experiences report. What John saw was beyond imagining. 60 years later, John was with Jesus, in His Home.
Revelation 1:4-17
Grace to you and peace from him
who is and who was and who is to come,
and from the seven spirits who are before His throne,
and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness,
the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth.
To Him who loves us
and
has freed us from our sins by His blood
and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father,
to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever.
Amen.
Revelation 1
Behold,
He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him,
even those who pierced him,
and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of Him.
Even so. Amen.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
9 I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet 11 saying, “Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.” 12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands,
John 1:3-5
All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness has not overcome it.
Revelation 21:23
The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.
Heaven, we are told, does not have night. Why a Lampstand? Jesus found this Life joy. Lampstands for Joy. For the History. For the Temple. For Joy.
And in the midst of the lampstands one like a Son of Man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest.
14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, 15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters.
16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.
17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead.
But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades.
When considering the appearance of Jesus as Son of Man, we have to realize this is saying
the Mitochondrial Eve, the matrilineal most recent common ancestor (MRCA) of all living humans. As of 2013, estimates on the age of this split ranged at around 155,000 years ago, Homo sapiens but earlier than the recent out-of-Africa dispersal.
Revelation mirrors Genesis. Just as the atmosphere did when the Holy Spirit hovered over the waters of a much different atmosphere of Earth. Clouds on the ground watered the earth. The Alpha and Omega in Jesus Christ.
Did John know this? Probably not. † The Holy Spirit certainly did.
Why would the eyes of Jesus be flames of Fire?
The depiction of flames of fire, would be accurate around the eyes looking in flames.
God wouldn't put the Disciples in Tongues of Fire by themselves.
Sword of the Spirit,
His skin is Burnished Bronze. The Light of the Holy Spirit. Youth. Glow.
Jesus was extremely sincere, Heaven has a body for us. Not ghosts and vapors.
His Mouth, The Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
Fear Not!
Revelation 4
After this I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven!
And the first voice, which I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet, said, “Come up here, and I will show you
what must take place after this.”
Stained Glass is from the 1200s A.D.

Glimpses of Heaven
Revelation 4
2 At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne.
3 And he who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald.
In the Spirit, where will we see the Colors of Heaven?
Glimpses through a mirror darkly.
The Fire of Heaven that doesn't look like something creepy?
A door of Heavenly things.
When we think of the Lord, we know He could have any Cathedral
in any amount of Beauty.
And when He describes His Home, we find beings we don't usually see.
God Loves His Creation. And Heaven is very filled with Creation.
And in some ways, all generations,
all dimensions of art and beauty.
Ezekiel 10:1
1Then I looked, and behold, on the expanse that was over the heads of the cherubim there appeared above them something like a sapphire, in appearance like a throne.
Revelation 22:1,2
Then the angel showed me a river of the water of life,
as clear as crystal,
flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb
down the middle of the main street of the city.
On either side of the river stood a tree of life,
bearing twelve kinds of fruit
and
yielding a fresh crop for each month.
And the leaves of the tree
are for
the healing of the nations.
Revelation 4
Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and seated on the thrones were twenty-four elders, clothed in white garments, with golden crowns on their heads.
For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth,
visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.
From the throne came flashes of lightning, and rumblings and peals of thunder, and before the throne were burning seven torches of fire, which are the seven spirits of God, and before the throne there was as it were a sea of glass, like crystal.
Revelation 7:9-10
After this I looked and saw a multitude too large to count, from every nation and tribe and people and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.
They were wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands. 10And they cried out in a loud voice:
“Salvation to our God, who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb!”
For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities
—all things were created through Him
and for Him.
Revelation 21:23
The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.
