Ezra 7:27-28, 8:21-36 ~ Blessed be the Lord, the God of our fathers, who put such a thing as this into the heart

3D Tilt and Modify Van Gogh

Ezra 7:27-28

27 Blessed be the Lord, the God of our fathers, who put such a thing as this into the heart of the king, to beautify the house of the Lord that is in Jerusalem, 28 and who extended to me his steadfast love before the king and his counselors, and before all the king's mighty officers. I took courage, for the hand of the Lord my God was on me, and I gathered leading men from Israel to go up with me.

Ezra 8:21-36

21 Then I proclaimed a fast there, at the river Ahava, that we might humble ourselves before our God, to seek from him a safe journey for ourselves, our children, and all our goods. 22 For I was ashamed to ask the king for a band of soldiers and horsemen to protect us against the enemy on our way, since we had told the king, “The hand of our God is for good on all who seek him, and the power of his wrath is against all who forsake him.” 23 So we fasted and implored our God for this, and he listened to our entreaty.

24 Then I set apart twelve of the leading priests: Sherebiah, Hashabiah, and ten of their kinsmen with them. 25 And I weighed out to them the silver and the gold and the vessels, the offering for the house of our God that the king and his counselors and his lords and all Israel there present had offered. 26 I weighed out into their hand 650 talents [75 pounds or 34 kilograms] of silver, and silver vessels worth 200 talents, and 100 talents of gold, 27 20 bowls of gold worth 1,000 darics, [coin weighing about 1/4 ounce or 8.5 grams] and two vessels of fine bright bronze as precious as gold. 28 And I said to them, “You are holy to the Lord, and the vessels are holy, and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering to the Lord, the God of your fathers. 29 Guard them and keep them until you weigh them before the chief priests and the Levites and the heads of fathers' houses in Israel at Jerusalem, within the chambers of the house of the Lord.” 30 So the priests and the Levites took over the weight of the silver and the gold and the vessels, to bring them to Jerusalem, to the house of our God.

31 Then we departed from the river Ahava on the twelfth day of the first month, to go to Jerusalem. The hand of our God was on us, and he delivered us from the hand of the enemy and from ambushes by the way. 32 We came to Jerusalem, and there we remained three days. 33 On the fourth day, within the house of our God, the silver and the gold and the vessels were weighed into the hands of Meremoth the priest, son of Uriah, and with him was Eleazar the son of Phinehas, and with them were the Levites, Jozabad the son of Jeshua and Noadiah the son of Binnui. 34 The whole was counted and weighed, and the weight of everything was recorded.

35 At that time those who had come from captivity, the returned exiles, offered burnt offerings to the God of Israel, twelve bulls for all Israel, ninety-six rams, seventy-seven lambs, and as a sin offering twelve male goats. All this was a burnt offering to the Lord. 36 They also delivered the king's commissions to the king's satraps [Persian official] and to the governors of the province Beyond the River, and they aided the people and the house of God.

What happens when Slavery and Babylonian Exile is Over?

You have to applaud the truth in the Scriptures. Not a golden fable where everything is always clear to people trying to live God's will. God's favored people have been freed from slavery, an amazing, rare thing. Not easy grace; God's children have experienced slavery first hand. Like Egypt, the children of Israel are leaving not just with the clothes on their backs, but laden with all types of riches. An amazing king, giving treasure and working God's plan. For the King, which came first? God's blessings to him, or his willingness to bless God?

This band of newly freed men don't rush to ask for Darius' willing protection, but immediately wonder, worry, if God will protect them. They worry for themselves, they worry for God's honor in their words, they worry about their witness. This anxiety is far from displeasing God.

In this glorious time, is it any wonder the Temple of the Living God would be built?

God says:

“The hand of our God is for good on all who seek him, and the power of his wrath is against all who forsake him.”

Isaiah 49:23b
you will know that I am the Lord;
those who wait for me shall not be put to shame

John 5:24
Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

John 2:19
Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up."

John 14:13-18
Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it. 15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

2 Corinthians 4:6-7

Because the God who said, Out of darkness light shall shine, is the One who shined in our hearts to illuminate the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God and not out of us.

God
Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

2 Thessalonians 2

13 But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 14 He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, 17 encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

Father God,
In Joy and Expectation of Your Blessings:

And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.

In faith we say, Thank You Jesus. Amen.

Jeremiah 17:19-27 ~ forever

Jeremiah 17:19-27

19 Thus said the LORD to me: "Go and stand in the People's Gate, by which the kings of Judah enter and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem, 20 and say:

'Hear the word of the LORD, you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, who enter by these gates.

21 Thus says the LORD:
Take care for the sake of your lives, and do not bear a burden on the Sabbath day or bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem.

22 And do not carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath or do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers. 23 Yet they did not listen or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck, that they might not hear and receive instruction.

24 "'But if you listen to me, declares the LORD,
and bring in no burden by the gates of this city on the Sabbath day, but keep the Sabbath day holy and do no work on it,  25 then there shall enter by the gates of this city kings and princes who sit on the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their officials, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

And this city shall be inhabited forever. 26 And people shall come from the cities of Judah and the places around Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin, from the Shephelah, from the hill country, and from the Negeb, bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices, grain offerings and frankincense, and bringing thank offerings to the house of the LORD.

27 But if you do not listen to me, to keep the Sabbath day holy, and not to bear a burden and enter by the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in its gates, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem and shall not be quenched.'"

The Gate was open to all people. The People's Gate.

The concept of rest is foreign to us.

Jesus said the Sabbath is made for mankind. We should consider this.

Remember Genesis 1 and 2 - God had Eden to rest in. Or enjoy seeing.

We have all encountered being tired and unable to sleep. The other day I wanted to rest and knew I needed rest. No sleep was occurring.

I pictured a huge umbrella covering me and I thought of His Word lining the umbrella, "And on the 7th Day, God Rested." Suddenly I felt I had permission to rest. As if I had walked all day with Jesus ministering and we all decided to camp out and rest in the beauty of God's Creation.

Suddenly I felt very peaceful.

I remembered the Garden of Eden. And slept beautifully.

Burdens used to be carrying trade. Making a living. Burdens are still about our living. It's difficult to fuss and worry and then relax. If we are in constant 'go' mode, we are not taking advantage of the Rest God tells us of. The difficulty is we embrace Forging into the Great Upward Sweep of God's Adventure and Doing our Best. Like Abraham. Abraham and Sarah were determined to 'help' bring forth 'God's Plan."

God did not ask them for their 'assistance.'

Jesus says His burden is easy, come to Him and rest. To believe God is God and we will do what we need to do, letting God worry out all the details. In this capacity, we can do our needed requirements for life's work, but also do this in a relaxed manner. Believing in Jesus - problems will arrive and then go.

Evil wants us to be upset and believe God's Word isn't the People's Gate. We hold on to Jesus and we will Rest. Evil will insist that we do not deserve God's Grace. We are a special 'case.' All people fall short.

Believers know we hold on to Jesus. God is God.

We believe God's Grace is for us. We are God's Beloved.

We tell Father God and we have had Renewal
We have Nourished our Eternal Soul.
A Filled Soul has Joy. The Holy Spirit.
We have Rest and feel Rested - a Vacation. Better - Renewal.
A Time to tell God - Thank You.
To Let us Love Father God.
To Appreciate our Jesus as God.

Psalm 150:1-6
Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary;
praise him in his mighty heavens!

Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness!

Abba,

We ask You for Your Blessings - knowing Your Love, so we ask. More Life, More Love.

We have seen someone we love today - we know Joy.

We have the Comfort You have put in our lives today - we know Peace.

We have Your Love - so we Know we have experienced Your Patience.

We have done something today for someone else - we know Kindness in ourselves and from someone else.

We see Goodness is others. We have Goodness in us to see this.

We take care of ourselves and breathe care for the Holy Spirit in us. Love ourselves. Faithfulness.

Love another as ourself - Faithfulness. Especially in Matrimony Vows. Honoring God in prayer. Faithfulness.

Gentleness - taking one more breath and considering before answering.

Self-Control is easier when we are Grateful for God and Today.

Knowing God's Law of Liberty - Worshiping God in Spirit and in Truth. Loving Abba. Loving Jesus. Loving the Holy Spirit.

We ask this for the ones we Love. For the people - You have given us. Asking Jesus to bring us closer, The Spirit gives Life, and in this Life , we are asking Jesus to provide more Heaven on earth. More Life for the people who call upon Jesus. For our Nation. For Peace.

In the Name of Jesus, Amen!

Mark 2:1-12 ~ preaching the word to them

Mark 2:1-12

And when he returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home. 2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even at the door.

And he was preaching the word to them. 3 And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. 4 And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.

5 And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”

6 Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, 7 “Why does this man speak like that? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

8 And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you question these things in your hearts? 9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise, take up your bed and walk’? 10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic— 11 “I say to you, rise, pick up your bed, and go home.”

12 And he rose and immediately picked up his bed and went out before them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”

Luke 18:17
Truly I tell you, if anyone does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child, he will never enter it.

During my childhood, people would ask the 'grit-in-your-eye, lean-forward-question' :

"Do you pray at red lights and for parking spaces?" Even "Maude", "All in the Family" and"The Jeffersons" all talked about this. And I don't think there was ever a very snappy reply to remember.

We all know how we are sad for people who have lost a beloved pet. Today, there is another process to grieve: the loss of your computer. The loss of data, memories - it's really difficult for people to lose a computer. And thank God for innovations of stored memory and facebook.

Maybe we should advance the question from red lights and parking spaces to, "Do you pray for your computer?" Considering it is a social media device, needed for so many things, a very complex instrument - we probably should. The internet is a series of tubes.

What would we
expect
when we pray for our computer?

Matthew 19:26
Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

And when we think of the wonders of God we should include this...
God gave the people who would bring the prayer-applicant for help. God wants us to know Jesus picked to live in this world - the ill, blind, hearing loss, lame, well, politicians, Synagogue officials (Jairus), unimportant children, women, tax thugs, political war-minded zealots - the world. The people who love technology and the people who pray for that person's help.

The prayer of a paralyzed man generally happens in a medical facility today. And this is heard today by Jesus. Yet paralysis - and what we need - is all about this Scripture.

Certainly, a computer is built of systems and hardware. Yet Jesus is the Word of God - Living.

John 1:14
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The Holy Spirit is displayed in the Scriptures as fire - and what is fire? Electricity. If we don't approach praying - a little like the simplicity of a child - our ideas will stop rolling. Sometimes we have great faith in things like electricity - without the wonder of God who spoke and the solar system exist on His Word.  The sun - rising each day -  is God's.  Where we really place our faith and why prayers go everywhere.

The Light continues to shine.

And on our path to the Lord and with our Father. You Light our steps.

Abba,

You tell us in Psalm 139, our days are Blessed.  Help us to remember each day - We are Your Special and Chosen Child.  To value ourselves as You do. We are named by God. We have our days written in Your Book of Life.

With Your Blessing and Your Favor, we have strength to do Your Plan. We have Joy to Hope in Your Path for us. We have Love to be fed and nourished in the most important aspect of us - Love - where Your Holy Spirit and our eternal essence dwells.

We pray this Love, Great Love, blesses those we Love. The People You have given us. We pray more Heaven upon earth. Blessing our families, schools, workplaces, homes, Churches and Nations. The Love You have for us seen in all our lives.

Thank You for Your Word and Plan.

In Jesus we have the Victory. Amen.

+
Oops, we didn't exactly pray for computers. What was intended - to pray when we turn the computer on, to pray when we see images we don't like and attitudes not given to the Lord. To pray when computers are broken. Giving thanks conversations are heard by the Lord God our Father. And He knows the intentions of the heart. Amen in Jesus.

1 Timothy 3 ~ trustworthy

1 Timothy 3

1 The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task. 2 Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife,sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3 not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. 4 He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, 5 for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God's church? 6 He must not be a recent convert, or he may become puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7 Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace, into a snare of the devil.

8 Deacons likewise must be dignified, not double-tongued,not addicted to much wine, not greedy for dishonest gain. 9 They must hold the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. 10 And let them also be tested first; then let them serve as deacons if they prove themselves blameless. 11 Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things. 12 Let deacons each be the husband of one wife, managing their children and their own households well. 13 For those who serve well as deacons gain a good standing for themselves and also great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.

14 I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these things to you so that, 15 if I delay, you may know how one ought to behave in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth. 16 Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: He was manifested in the flesh, vindicated by the Spirit, seen by angels, proclaimed among the nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

1 Timothy 3 does indeed answer  1 Timothy 3

How to behave in the household of God:

one marriage, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money

When we go before Father God, the Lord God Almighty - we have to do what Zechariah, John the Baptist's father, did not do. We hold on to God's Mercy. Trust God's Word and His Way. The Lord, the truth and the Life.

Abba,

For the Life You give - we say Thank You. For the Plans You have for us - we say Thank You.

And You lovingly hear all of our cares and concerns to rest with You.
For those we Love. For the people You give us.

And for the Nation.

Trusting and praising You. Lifting up the people around the world who Love You.

Amen in Jesus. Amen.

John 6 ~ Bread of Life

John 6

After this Jesus went away to the other side of the Sea of Galilee, which is the Sea of Tiberias.

2 And a large crowd was following him, because they saw the signs that he was doing on the sick.

3 Jesus went up on the mountain, and there he sat down with his disciples. 4 Now the Passover, the feast of the Jews, was at hand. 5 Lifting up his eyes, then, and seeing that a large crowd was coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these people may eat?” 6 He said this to test him, for he himself knew what he would do.

7 Philip answered him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread would not be enough for each of them to get a little.”

8 One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to him, 9 “There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are they for so many?”

10 Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.”

Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, about five thousand in number.

11 Jesus then took the loaves, and when he had given thanks, he distributed them to those who were seated. So also the fish, as much as they wanted. 12 And when they had eaten their fill, he told his disciples, “Gather up the leftover fragments, that nothing may be lost.”

13 So they gathered them up and filled twelve baskets with fragments from the five barley loaves left by those who had eaten.

14 When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, “This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!”

15 Perceiving then that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, Jesus withdrew again to the mountain by himself.

16 When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea, 17 got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum. It was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them. 18 The sea became rough because a strong wind was blowing. 19 When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat, and they were frightened.

20 But he said to them,
“It is I; do not be afraid.”

21 Then they were glad to take him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land to which they were going.

22 On the next day the crowd that remained on the other side of the sea saw that there had been only one boat there, and that Jesus had not entered the boat with his disciples, but that his disciples had gone away alone. 23 Other boats from Tiberias came near the place where they had eaten the bread after the Lord had given thanks. 24 So when the crowd saw that Jesus was not there, nor his disciples, they themselves got into the boats and went to Capernaum, seeking Jesus.

25 When they found him on the other side of the sea, they said to him, “Rabbi, when did you come here?”

26 Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you are seeking me, not because you saw signs, but because you ate your fill of the loaves. 27 Do not work for the food that perishes, but for the food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For on him God the Father has set his seal.”

28 Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?”

29 Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God,
that you believe in him whom he has sent.”

30 So they said to him, “Then what sign do you do, that we may see and believe you? What work do you perform? 31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written, ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’”

32 Jesus then said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven,
but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven.

33 For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

34 They said to him, “Sir, give us this bread always.”

35 Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life;
whoever comes to me shall not hunger,
and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.

36 But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will
but the will of him who sent me.

39 And this is the will of him who sent me,
that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me,
but raise it up on the last day.

40 For this is the will of my Father,
that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life,
and I will raise him up on the last day.”

41 So the Jews grumbled about him, because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.”

42 They said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does he now say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?”

43 Jesus answered them, “Do not grumble among yourselves. 44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me— 46 not that anyone has seen the Father except he who is from God; he has seen the Father.

47 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life.

48 I am the bread of life.

49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50 This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

52 The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”

53 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

54 Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.

55 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56 Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like the bread the fathers ate, and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”

59 Jesus said these things in the synagogue, as he taught at Capernaum.

60 When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This is a hard saying; who can listen to it?”

61 But Jesus, knowing in himself that his disciples were grumbling about this, said to them, “Do you take offense at this? 62 Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.”

(For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.)

65 And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.”

66 After this many of his (72) disciples turned back and no longer walked with him.

67 So Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?”

68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, 69 and we have believed, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.”

70 Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve? And yet one of you is a devil.” 71 He spoke of Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray him.

John 5

45 Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, in whom you have put your hope. 46 If you had believed Moses, you would believe Me, because he wrote about Me. 47 But since you do not believe what he wrote, how will you believe what I say?

John and Jesus' Campaign

The vast difference between Moses and Jesus.
Moses wrote down God's Words.
Jesus is the manifest Word of God.

John's Gospel carefully considers Jesus explaining Jesus. We begin the Gospel of John (John's Truth) with the Transfiguration explaining in poetic form = Jesus as God's Light of the World. Then John explains the Campaign of Jesus.

The Jews are constantly using Moses to try to place Jesus far below Moses, Servant of God. And this is an interesting progression of the Temple of God. As the Temple, built by Solomon, is torn down the first time - Moses and the Exodus are debased as invalid - saying the Jews were never, never slaves - nothing like slaves.

John 5, 6, 7 and 8 are a Campaign of Jesus to show He is far above Moses.

This Campaign is very Dangerous to Jesus.

Moses is clung to tightly - yet Herod controls the Temple and is married to his sister-in-law. So the Law is of Rome and of Tradition - not the heart of God. In the Second Temple - filled with the Temple Tools of Moses and Solomon having been returned from the Babylonian Empire - the Ark of the Covenant is recorded as being taken to Mount Nebo by Jeremiah for safety until the Lord would reveal the Ark. God's Mercy Seat is missing.

John 5

The Temple doesn't believe the Words of God Moses has written. The Glory of God is the Glory of God and Jesus has this authority.  The Disciples show enormous faith to be associated with Jesus. Healing  is done on the Sabbath showing Jesus throws out a law not based in mercy. Jesus heals an invalid of thirty and eight years. Impossible to heal - a man well known to all. The healed man is vastly ungrateful and clings to Temple Authorities - a Plan of God.

John 6

Vast Encouragement for us every day!
Who Jesus is.
Because He is God - we find this available to us today.
Jesus tells us what you "Believe" determines your life.

And Jesus sets forth to explain about Manna is Jesus and how Manna is given.

John 5
41 “I do not accept glory from human beings"

In vast technicolor - Jesus makes Manna. 5 Thousand -  will remember. And truly millenniums are fed.

Jesus is the Bread of Life. We have seen - in believing - God Himself.

Jesus looked at the people and their works - traveling to see Jesus. Traveling and working to travel over land and by boat. Jesus said it's not really the works - Believing - matters. Works can be self-serving. Believing Jesus - matters to the Lord God - He sees heart, mind, body and soul.

James, Brother to Jesus, remembers and tells us growing up with Jesus and He said believing is good. However, the demons picked to believe and shudder. Their works work against the will of God.

Seeing all God has to offer should draw us to God as our Living Bread. The result - Life is lived for eternal reasons. Jesus conquers our fears telling us to Believe. A New Life in Jesus.

Does God expect this to be easy for us - pull on "Belief"...

John 6
29 Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”

John 7

Jesus is next in the Moses told us to have Thanksgiving/Festival of Tabernacles/Feast of Booths/Succoth and during Jesus in the Middle of this written by Moses Thanksgiving -

Jesus tells us more about the Exodus.

John 7
37 On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.

In the Middle of the Desert - the Children of Israel moved a Gigantic Rock with them. Because from this Rock - flowed water sustaining them for 40 years. Impossible. Jesus is telling us - Jesus is the Rock - Jesus is Living Water.

Psalm 18:2

The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

John 8

2 Early in the morning he came again to the temple. All the people came to him, and he sat down and taught them. 3 The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in adultery, and placing her in the midst 4 they said to him, "Teacher, this woman has been caught in the act of adultery. 5 Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. So what do you say?"

10 Jesus stood up and said to her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" 11 She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more."

What is shown up - The Law of Moses.

What has not shown up - The Sin of Herod.

Neither did Jesus condemn the Temple - nor Herod.

Jesus has shown Himself to be placed in the Middle of The Jesus Campaign and answers John 5 in a Circle of Love.

John 5

22 The Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, 23 that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. 24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life. 25 "Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming, and is now here, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.

Abba, Father God,

Bless us, with the Word of God and Power of the Holy Spirit to hear the Word of God and keep it!

And with the Love and Mercy of Jesus, accept God's Word - not as the word of men but as what it really is, the Word of God, which is at work in us, believers.

Inviting Jesus, Holy Spirit and Father God to Bless us Daily - Jesus' Holy Spirit living in us. Knowing this is Your Beloved Son, with whom You are well pleased. With the encouragement and blessing of Jesus - we will listen to Him daily.

And the circle is unbroken as we live. And the circle is completed in our Lord Jesus Christ. And the Circle will be completed - by and by - Lord, bye and by.

In this, we will let our hearts - Hope. And the presence of God, our Father, will bend down, to enfold, to hold. And we will know - the struggle is of Love. And in God, the upward is Higher. The Journey - Eternal.

The Helper, The Comforter, gives us and the ones we Love His Grace allowing us to struggle and sink, rise and hope. Finding endurance and Hope.

In a Word. Jesus. Above all. Amen.

About scripture-for-today.blogspot.com/

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
