Kindness to the poor is a loan to the LORD, 

and He will repay the lender.

Last night, we were watching the Vice Presidential Debate and everything gets upset, raucous and just in twisted knots when Health Care meets Abortion.

 And I realized I had some insight I wanted to share.

In September of 2008,

 Edward and I wound up in Houston's largest Abortion Clinic. 

We could call this:

The Day Anne Laurel and Edward were in the Abortion Clinic.

This is our life story and may not be one you want to read. 

It is your choice, if you want to know and read these events, forming our opinions.

Our daughter Isabelle was conceived as a complete surprise. I was 44 years old at conception and 45 years old in the Abortion Clinic. Not because we wanted an Abortion. Thrilled to have another and surprise Child.  We had been sent by our very kindly and Christian ObGyn because Isabelle had been found, at week 26 or 28, to be fatally built with Trisomy DNA. We had been sent to the Largest Fertility Clinic in Houston to discuss with an expert PhD, MD, in fertility about the complexities of a Trisomy Birth at age 45. 

Upon Arrival, we realized we were in the most eclectic group of people we had ever seen. And this was not simply a Fertility Clinic. The waiting room held 200 to 150 people and to see the check in process, the 12 intake people, were literally behind bulletproof glass. I kid you not. And once you proved your identity by Driver License, then you paid.  No further questions were asked until payment was rendered. Now fill the form out, put in the basket to go behind the empty portion of the Bulletproof glass and slide in the answers. Then wait. How long?  A shrug, this is an emergency facility and the people in crisis would be dealt with as time allows.

Plenty of Police or Security on hand.

We had plenty of time to see, they hired surrogates, where to go to sit for IVF. You can fill in a questionnaire about surrogacy or become one.  Ask about AIDS.  And the ages ran the whole range. Some people cried. Some looked fearful. Some angry. It made the ER look tame. The elevator did have all kinds of advertisements.

And Some People looked Thrilled to be a Surrogate

Some People were Thrilled to have IVF

Some People were Thrilled to Meet their Surrogate

Some People were Thrilled to Find out they ARE PREGNANT

This is probably like the first line in Heaven.

Hello, you are dead. 

Let's delve to your appropriate place.  

Everyone is all in. Literally. 

I learned this that day:

• If you want an abortion, go to Kansas, it is the freebie anything goes zone. 
• Too bad, it's only $200 dollars, be an adult. It's an airplane ticket.
• Ohhhh, you can claim medical reason. Ok, when do you want to schedule the abortion. Sure, 28 to 31 weeks. Easier on the fetus to die swiftly, than suffer.

"Honey, you want me as PhD, MD to deliver this child, if you want to go to delivery. Because the Amniotic Fluid surrounding Trisomy is lethal to the mother."

"Your ObGyn has referred you to me, he doesn't want the trauma of a delivery like this. I'm trained. I suggest an Abortion. Your delivery is complex, and it is not going to run to $10g, but instead more like $16 to $22g for complications and more nurses. I earn the big dollars to deal with the big problems."

She had on the most expensive gold necklace James Avery sells, a sunburst. Huge. "Yep, James Avery, she said, I earn the big bucks to deal with the big problems."

Back to our Kindly, Older, Christian ObGyn. We were, let's say, beyond numb to furious, having been sent to the Abortion Dr. 

We learned that day, from our ObGyn:

1. Fertility Clinics offer a wide range of services. 
2. He didn't know they had bulletproof glass and take payment first.
3. Yes, (2008) with a medical condition, anything can be labelled a medical condition to abort. At any age.  Without shrinking from it.
4. Why didn't everyone like this go to Kansas.  The Doctor said, pause, because it is basically more convenient. 
5. Fertility Doctors, mostly, are practical and see any phase of any pregnancy as medical. Health Care.

It was the first time I saw doctors contradict each other entirely. Abortions are Business. 

1. The PhD MD had lied. The ObGyn wanted to deliver our baby at the price we were told in the beginning. She had not had communication from him.
2.  Our Doctor had never heard of Trisomy causing fatal Amniotic Fluid. Ever.

We finally got home after a very long day. 

So sad for Isabelle not to run and play and be loved by the family so eager to have her born. She was not moving much.  God Bless Isabelle every day.

It was a Friday. I would learn this by Monday:

Abortion Discussions are not Private or Taboo. People jump in where smart Angels would fear to tread. 

Over the weekend, I would have a family member call me 3 times to beg me to abort Isabelle. The first reason was, I would ruin my body for a dead baby. C'mon, I looked like a VW Bug. Handicapped child Amniotic Fluid.

By the 3rd time, I yelled, "I won't kill my daughter and NEVER ASK ME TO AGAIN." This baby loved to kick and play inside my body.

We had a far-flung, longtime Client ask Edward to speak to me. I took the call and she burst into tears. Her only daughter, at age 32, had been told to abort a Trisomy child to avoid the head, too large, tearing her apart. She did, but the abortion nicked her womb and the Amniotic Fluid killed her daughter at age 32. She begged me not to abort.  We had a nice conversation about Heaven. (A very rare complication, we, of course, asked our Doctor.)

Lots of calls that were sad and neutral.

What I learned in the decades.

Our first child, our son, was born at 31 weeks gestation. He weighed 5 pounds and looked like an NFL baby in the Neonatal Intensive Care.  Many tiny human babies look like little squirrels when they weigh 1 pound. I know people who weighed 2 pounds at birth and now are 60 years old with many children.

how many people they sleep with

and why

If they had been played for a goose

HOW TO REDUCE COSTS FOR BIRTH

What I'd Like You

to Take Away

from this Post

I am for Babies

I am for MOMS and Dads

I am for 

vastly reduced 

Birth Costs

Abortion is scary

and it doesn't just fade away

A Large NUMBER of people will want counseling

THEY want to know Mercy

I am for IVF

with adoption for viable embryos

helping for costs

I am for 

FOSTERING CHILDREN

and

ADOPTION

 

I would have people

reconsider their choices

States should decide

Kansas is 2 hours and $200.

If Planned Parenthood is all that

they should help instead of roadblock. 

Planned Parenthood

should be 

Honest 

and not tell women that

worry would cause miscarriage anyway.

And this is a lifelong choice.

In a perfect world, they would send the 

mother to ProLife about Help Available.

If Choice is Choice

then send Mothers

to see Pro Life

before a lifelong decision.

We have family members

who had abortions.

It is a sad thing and hurts people.

God is Open Hearted.
