Psalm 123
To You I lift up my eyes,
O You Who are enthroned in the Heavens!
Behold, as the eyes of servants
look to the hand of their master,
as the eyes of a maidservant
to the hand of her mistress,
so our eyes look to the Lord our God,
till He has mercy upon us.
3 Have mercy upon us,
O Lord, have mercy upon us,
for we have had more than enough of contempt.
4 Our soul has had more than enough
of the scorn of those who are at ease,
of the contempt of the proud.
Eventually, Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton will be memories. And what will we remember? Those who didn't care, didn't report the anguish. Those who said there was no money in FEMA, in writing and by press statement. The response of 100 per county to help. Those who didn't care and then screamed about misinformation.
We will remember political bickering. Small visits. And a nation of people, everyday people going out of their way to help. A renewed Spirit of Care. Touching the hearts of many more than the assisted. The Holy Spirit.
Today, first time efforts in the news showed us more than we knew about the tragedies surrounding Helene as Milton approached.
Never before have I seen so many asking for prayer for those effected, and those in prayer for the new approaching Milton's path. More Prayer than ever.
If God's Word turned Hurricane Milton to the ocean only. Exactly like King Hezekiah had the mercy of God upon his fatal illness being cured. Usually, the Path of God's Word is seen. But can be the still, quiet voice heard after the great and strong wind tore the mountain and broke into pieces, and after the wind, an earthquake, and after the earthquake the fire. And then the still quiet voice of the Lord.
It could well be, we will see the Lord act. The Deep Horizon oil spill of April 2010. Labeled the BP Oil Disaster. No one had ever, ever seen that much oil on the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico. Suddenly, there was no oil. We had people in our Baylor Bible Study who clean the oil spills on the offshore rigs for a living. There is a protocol and these things clean up in a week, completely. Hear this, oil does not every just disappear. Except on this Biblical Scale. Never happened before.
Christians know this. All surveys say 2/3rds who pray, have seen a miracle answer.
Will we see the Lord Act?
Yes. It could be in the still small voice of those who continue to give and volunteer. It could be in determined families building a rebuild legacy. Surely, we will have a great cloud of witnesses overcoming trouble in the world.
Who could be without misty eyes to see the dramatic rescues. The people with equipment who will help. To watch the floods and realize, briefly, you saw a teal something and then it was gone. To see the scale of this.

we pray the disaster of Hurricane Milton
is AVOIDED.
PLEASE, LORD.
2 Kings 20:2-6
Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the Lord, saying, “Now, O Lord, please remember how I have walked before you in faithfulness and with a whole heart, and have done what is good in your sight.”
And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
And before Isaiah had gone out of the middle court,
the Word of the Lord came to him:
“Turn back, and say to Hezekiah the leader of my people,
Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father:
I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears.
Behold, I will heal you.
On the third day you shall go up to the House of the Lord, 6
and I will add fifteen years to your life.
I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria,
and I will defend this city for My Own Sake
and for My servant David's sake.”
