Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they
shall see
God.
When we look at Genesis, we can't debunk Genesis.
Why not?
If I ask you at the grocery store, how you got to the grocery store, you are not going to mention how your car engine works, how your car was built, or how the gasoline was achieved to put in the tank. You aren't going to discuss the hospital where you were born. You might mention a couple of roads or apps.
The Bible is not uninformed
2 Peter 3:8-9
But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
Ask yourself. If today is thousands of years to the Lord... what did HE see this morning?
Time is in His Hands.
God, Scriptures tell us, upholds His creation, the universe, with His Word. Hebrews 1:3. We cannot have the time, or the understanding, to know this. I'm puzzled thinking of the beauty of the earth, seen from orbit, and know as men travel to the moon, the sky is always dark. The earth is blue and teems of life, the moon is cold, even on the sunny side, is not pleasant.
We can decide to look at all things to find God's Gift of Life. Or spin like the moon.
In Genesis, we begin with God's goals telling us, today, the earth is the Lord's and the Fullness thereof. It is indeed baby days for mankind, yet not for the Ancient of Days. The Lord has His Plan and will fulfill His Plan.
Beginning is important.
The Lord, our Father, sends Adam out to see His Glory in His Good Creation. And although Adam was not there to watch the Creation, Adam is given. Given the opportunity to name what surrounds his life. Given the invitation to walk with the Lord in the cool of the evening in the beauty of His Garden.
Our Father does not say, build a Cathedral where we may speak. He does not say begin to write Scripture. He does not ask Adam what Glorious Praise music he has accomplished for the Lord's great pleasure.
Our Father, sees Adam's heart and gifts him disciples. No, He does not. Not even a fishing buddy. The Lord, The God Almighty, Father of All of Creation, gifts Adam a rib, a bone of his bone, wife. Right next to the beating of Adam's heart.
The Lord does not ask Adam and Eve to live every second listening to Godly Music. The Lord does not present them with Heavenly Hosts, as He gave for the Birth of His Only Son.
Instead, The Lord gives them the direction to cultivate their lives. The Garden. Our Father does not instruct them to wear unusual clothes, kneel often, kill offerings of flesh or meat. He does not ask them to repeat phrases.
The Father of Creation asks for their conversation and their trust. He tells them Life is good. To observe what is good and make life better.

Matthew 5 is Genesis.
Going on Vacation? Renew the knowledge of God's Good Creation. Awe and wonder.
We arrive at holidays. And Airport Travel. Remembering, "On earth as it is in Heaven." Countless people do wish they lived closer to family. Recently, Tucker Carlson was talking to the people of Wisconsin. One of their glories is to live within 3 walking blocks, walking to their grandparent's home. And the Wisconsin people glory in their communities and value their friendships. The Lord says pray.
In retirement, we aren't going to move closer to the career contacts. Plan a life where you want to be.
Everyone has experiences going to the restroom in a Restaurant. Oh, the conversations where you go. Or the table next to you, you really remember. There are several good movies about having an invitation to sit to dinner with Jesus Christ. We all hope to know the Goodness of The Lord, His Love and Mercies.
Restaurants are the brief opportunity to care for people unknown. Pray. We have the same invitation as Adam.
The fight isn't within our hand. And Nineveh was saved. Prayer. One of the most effective praying men in our recent history was a man who created many orphanages, well credited in Europe as human salvation. Not Oliver Twist. And George Mueller's frequently answered prayers, were this: "Please, Father."
People visit other cultures.
To see what is accomplished. To wonder. Not the same as me, but well within God's Heart and Hand.
Abba, Father,

Today, sheds would be what early settlers called barns. After they were finished calling them home. Sheds make a house increase in value. Particularly if the shed is completed well.
Come hell or high water, we will stay. Lord willing.
