Psalm 126 ~ The Lord has done great things

To the left is Solomon's Portico.

The Temple Columns, one is named after David's Grandfather

Solomon's Portico

Psalm 126

A Song of Ascents.

When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dream.
2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
and our tongue with shouts of joy;
then they said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
3 The Lord has done great things for us;
we are glad.

4 Restore our fortunes, O Lord,
like streams in the Negeb!
5 Those who sow in tears
shall reap with shouts of joy!
6 He who goes out weeping,
bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
bringing his sheaves with him.

The Temple was dedicated and the hem of God's Robe filled the Temple. An Amazing beginning.

Psalm 126 is believed to be the parallel of Psalm 137. Guessed to be written by Ezra for the privilege to live during the fulfillment of Jeremiah's Restoration Prophecy.

Jerusalem was a burnt out ruin. And yet, Solomon's Porch was not destroyed. It was called too beautiful to destroy.

The Psalm is so beautiful. God's Promises working for every generation. The Temple was being built to the extreme joy for the people of God. For one generation's faith - 12 generations later...

God tells us we are Living Stones.
Our lives will be built upon. We make straight paths knowing ourselves. We create a Way within us for Jesus to enjoy our lives. Jesus creates a Way for us. And for the generation next and a generation yet unborn.

Faith for ourselves today. Hope for tomorrow. Jesus for the Future of God's Good Will and His Plans.

Believing the movies about futuristic horror is merely fable. Believing in our goodness, Jesus provided, we will give goodness to carry on the generations today and tomorrow.

When we believe God is interweaving, we are believing Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life - for us all. God's Great Works don't isolate one set of people. As the work of God grew during the time of Moses, Moses' adopted mother, Pharaoh's daughter, perhaps started Moses ability to marry a foreigner. To have the Scriptures make a path for foreigners. Some foreign slaves traveled with the Exodus.. Moses' family were foreigners and his father in law. Moses could clearly see the Children of God in the Exodus were on foreign soil. God knows No Boundaries in this Life. And in the Life and Works of Jesus, we find Tyre participates in miracles,. The Greeks invite Jesus to Crete. Antioch hosts all status and nationalities. Works of God include us all. Yesterday, today and tomorrow.

Our Father God has promised us and gifted us beautifully in many ways.

If we let His mercies be faithfully observed, we might build upon our Blessings with greater effect in our lives daily.

I remember my son used to sing little songs and when I went back, later, to watch the videos in a few months, I could see - what at the time didn't make sense to me. As the words became clearing, even what I didn't understand would then be clarified in hindsight. (Like a prayer journal.)

We have talked about our lives build others - even lives of our generations unborn. We want to harbor our children and loved ones in our branches. Jesus was really making a major teaching image to tell us Heaven is like a growing tree. Today I saw a beautiful year old baby in her stroller. Waving her hands and Singing - even to the people half a block away. She swung her little hands like an orchestra leader. She was singing, "Is, Is, IS, IS, IS."

We have to look at the glimpses of Heaven God provides us daily. Psalm 8 the children in the Temple sang to Jesus of His Glory. Today I saw a little baby girl rejoicing in the gift of Life.

He has the Whole World in His Hands.
IS!
He has the little bitty Children in His Hands!
IS!
He has you and me sister and brother in His Hands!
IS!

This little girl delighted in singing, "IS!"
Rejoice in what Father God has given you today.
Is - the Joy in "Give us this Day!"

See the Heaven our Father God is bringing every day.

This Psalm is for you! God is for you! The Blessing of Father God rest upon us all we ask.

The Blessing of Jesus healing Dee. The Blessing of Jesus healing Elliott and Harby and their family. The Blessing of Jesus on all our families.

Jesus the Lord blessing the little baby girl in the stroller. Finding her Joy in Life given by You, Father God. Your Blessing stay with her and bless all her family in Your Love all their days.

The Blessing of Love.

His Love Surrounding His Children, the People we Love and His Good Plans for more Heaven upon earth. We pray in Jesus. Giving thanks for the Joy You've given us in answering prayers. Amen in Jesus. Amen.

Revelation 20:11-15 ~ The Book of Life

Revelation 20:11-15

11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

Matthew 13
47 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was thrown into the sea and gathered fish of every kind. 48 When it was full, men drew it ashore and sat down and sorted the good into containers but threw away the bad. 49 So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come out and separate the evil from the righteous 50 and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

God is in His Heaven and all is right with the world. Some days are like this. And others are not.

Each day we get a choice. We will stand firm in what we believe of Father God and Jesus Christ. In doing so, we create straight pathways. We know ourselves. And we are known to our God.

1 Peter 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Peter faced some dark times. His were extremely unusual, he was looking at Jesus Christ. It could have been unsurmountable. Except Jesus helped Peter. Jesus calls His Spirit Comforter. Teacher.

We grow tired and feel born again happened a long time ago. God tells us a day to God is thousands of years. Telling us God is God the Almighty. Nothing is too difficult for him.

We face times we feel like the father Jesus met after the Transfiguration. Where is our faith, we have a little, we need God to provide more. And in being honest with Jesus, Jesus and His Comforter provide more of the straight path. Jesus does not leave us alone.

We have had so many times in our lives.

Cal did not breathe all the time his first year of life. Apnea. One time he turned blue and I was grateful to have received CPR from the neonatal unit. Alexander turned blue from a fever seizure and the CPR training was used again. Life offers us times like this. Sometimes seasons of job loss. I worked in a Marketing Department with 23 people and in 12 months 22 lost their jobs. An accounting department where the entire department of 200 people were let go.

We have two skyscrapers nearby that the company, this exists in the "was' category. I just had a 20 minute conversation with my mother - as good as it has been in a number of years and as the evening progressed, I realized she was talking about things occuring years ago. Mother can't stand up for very long and she certainly didn't clean her bathroom.

For all of us, the frailties of human life. We face, "the comment." We find we think we are needed and are unneeded. The outrageous. The hurtful. Every day. The sun in the sky makes a path. Seasons of Light. Seasons of clouds. We all live a life where we hope for blue skies and fair weather with a nice breeze to further our life. And the truth is - we will all live a life where we will shake things off.

We have had a young man we call Ferris Bueller.
We have loved to see him. Even the superb young men, we see from time to time who seem to have 50,000 of the ten talents. We see such light in these young men, they increase in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man. And we find in the mortal world - wings are clipped. Stories are told of hardship - sometimes with humor. And then we hurt to find they hurt. We sorrow to see young women not bloom. And we know we all face the day together deciding if we will hold on to our Blessings with Faith.

When I worked in Prolife, one of the blooming young women was in training to become a Psychologist. And we all found together this young woman had her days God was in His Heaven. And the days where nothing would ever be sunny again. In the MIB world, something is always just crashing. And I suppose, God gives us all these events to wake to realize we live through them.

Sometimes anger is better than sorrow. At least you feel something is out there to fight. Something to crunch down on and make Justice. God tells us about anger over 400 times. And God demonstrated with all apt ability the Disciples were always confused and always in fear. And out of this rag-tag bunch, the Life of Jesus Christ has been changing the world for 2,000 years. Today, someone will believe and generations of their life will see Jesus.

Peter was not really on time for Jesus. He echoed what Andrew had told him. Jesus gave Peter and His Family time to catch up.

When the waves continue to seem dreary or dreadful, we still have the option to Have Faith. Have Happiness, to rekindle the straight path within us. To touch Jesus and His Comforter Father God has given us.

Jesus told us

Matthew 11:28
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest

Abba,

Sometimes we boldly receive Your Favor. Sometimes we do not even come close to this.

And the truth is Jesus is the Christ of God. Your Only Son. Nothing is too hard for You. You make straight paths when we see none of this.

God of Encouragement. When the Holy Spirit gives you another wind. When our truth of Jesus Living within us Shines Brighter than the dreary darkness.  Thank You, Abba, when provide fortitude.

Your Word reminds us You are working. When we remember the Scriptures. When we see the people who Love God are finding healing. Like Elliott and Harby. When we remember the miracles arriving suddenly. When Life is sweeter again. When we pause to remember the people we have prayed for and the answers You give.

Generations unborn will be fought for. A place for Love to grow. The God of Love. God of Hope. God of Encouragement sweeping up. Putting the darkness away and allowing Light to arrive in the Steadfast Mercy Jesus gives.

Blessings of Jesus upon you and upon me. Blessings of Jesus on the people we Love. Blessings of Jesus on our Church and employment, our families and homes. Blessings of Jesus on this Nation and the Light of Jesus shining without borders. Blessing us with the Living Hope of Jesus Living within us.

Yes Blessed be the God of our Fathers, Living Working and Loving today.

Amen in Jesus.

Psalm 30 ~ You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; you have loosed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness

David

Psalm 30

A Psalm of David. A song at the dedication of the temple.

I will extol you, O Lord, for you have drawn me up
and have not let my foes rejoice over me.
2 O Lord my God, I cried to you for help,
and you have healed me.
3 O Lord, you have brought up my soul from Sheol;
you restored me to life from among those who go down to the pit.

4 Sing praises to the Lord, O you his saints,
and give thanks to his holy name

5 For his anger is but for a moment,

and his favor is for a lifetime.

Weeping may tarry for the night,

but joy comes with the morning.

6 As for me, I said in my prosperity,
“I shall never be moved.”
7 By your favor, O Lord,
you made my mountain stand strong;
you hid your face;
I was dismayed.

8 To you, O Lord, I cry,
and to the Lord I plead for mercy:
9 “What profit is there in my death,
if I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it tell of your faithfulness?
10 Hear, O Lord, and be merciful to me!
O Lord, be my helper!”

11 You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
you have loosed my sackcloth
and clothed me with gladness,
12 that my glory may sing your praise and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

So much of our conversations are non-verbal. When we think of Moses, a lot of what we think of is a stern leader dealing with circumstances no one could lead.

When we think of David, don't we think of a million faces?

Boy
Anointed
 Saving the flock from lions

Quickly leaving Saul and abandoned by his first wife
Living in a ditch as a mercenary

Living with criminals and malcontents. Serious small warmongering.

Moses lived to be 120. Joshua lived to be 110. David lived to be about 60. Not bad in the Iron Age, but not the age of Moses and Aaron. Moses had stress. Stress with a capital S actually. David did too.

Being King had difficulties

Wars and war councils

Psalm 30
A Psalm of David. A song at the dedication of the temple.
I will extol you, O Lord, for you have drawn me up

Not a Bad Psalm for a Post Mortem

Kings and Emperors face aging sometimes with a serious lack of enthusiasm. In fact, many famous monarchs looked at aging as something horrid. Elizabeth I, historians discovered, was faster and looser in her after child bearing possible years. Putting those closest to her in a tail spin. Guilt. Mourning of the icon. Increase of intrigues. Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex was executed for overstepping.

Louis XIV was known to mourn Versailles for being so elderly.

Psalm 30 is David. He has not lived to be old in Biblical years. His family has suffered him. He has had rape and he has had revolt in his family. And not during his youthful years. David saw extreme civil unrest.

There is very good reason to ask... What Has Drawn David Up? What keeps him going!

David writes Psalm 30 for an occasion. The Dedication of the Temple. David is not going to be alive to see the Temple Dedicated. David will be sleeping with his fathers by the time the Dedication is being Sung as Psalm 30. David has written for the future.

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing

David has built the future. All our movies about the future show The Black Plague meets Technology. Slums of interesting gadgets. It's a very current theme of futuristic movies. Dire future. David isn't believing it. David is believing the future is in the Hands of God. David has taken his misfortunes and believed God was doing the Work of God. David has sought to find purpose in the downfalls leading to the Mercy of God.

It's said, you have everything if you have your health. David was not healthy. This Psalm isn't necessarily written when all was rosy. The Bible tends to move on with, "he slept with his fathers" quickly. David had a prolonged period with heart failure. And we find he persisted with plans for those he hoped to move forward in God's Plans.

David's Happiness was more of a Planned Happiness in seeing Gratitude with the ups and downs of life. Gladness.

Romans 8:28
And we know that for those who love God all things work together,
interweaving, for good,
for those who are called according to His Purpose.

And this calls for diligent searching and faith. A desire to get back on one's feet. Introspection. Hindsight to see the Blessings.

David is a king God invited to be in His Family. And in his struggles, we can find the Optimism of God about His Plans. Jeremiah says God gives all of us a Hope and Future.

David didn't just count on the future. David rejoiced in the good fortune of God's Legacy. David rejoiced in the good fortune of his people. David was glad for the blessings of God to happen around him. David counted on the future to be filled with the Goodness of God.

Gladness. Happiness. Does God want us to have happiness? David found happiness for others.

When our lives have times of trouble and misfortune, we are lifted up by the good news for others. Finding Blessings come to us all. Counting Blessings has a higher count when we count the Blessings of others. David knew so many circumstances in his life and he found Gratitude to be the face of Happiness.

And in doing this with Faith, Hope and Love we can put Joy, the Joy of the Lord is our Strength in every day.

Abba,

How did David pray? The New Testament tells us when we put our hearts to You, The Holy Spirit will pray for us. We can simply put our hearts to You. Proverbs 8. You find delight in the hearts of mankind. Placing Jesus as the Light of mankind.

Thank You for renewing Your Mercies Daily. Help us to build upon Your gift and not let our godly truth slide away.

Thank You so much for the people who pray for us. Daily. Near and far. Father God, like David help us to stay in Faith, Joy, Peace and Love seeking Your Kingdom. Pleasing to You, Father God.

Blessing Father God seeing the New Year come in with new hearts. Your Direction. Our Thanks for Your Word of Healing upon Elliott and Harby and their family.

Asking more of Your Heaven on earth in Your Good will for all of our loved ones and all the people praying. Saints and a new generation covering Your Good Creation in great prayer. Hearts pleasing to God.

In the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

It's an interesting theory. God called the Kingdom of Heaven like a large tree. We all know earthquakes are from plates deep within the earth, but it's a theory. Living in the Pine Forest from Texas to Florida and living in an area preserving trees - this caught my imagination.

Buildings in the future could be isolated from earthquakes by being placed behind rows of trees. That’s according to physicists in France, who have shown that certain seismic waves, known as Love waves, could be diverted away from the Earth’s surface as they pass through a forest containing trees of a certain height. The forest acts like a metamaterial – an artificial structure usually used to steer electromagnetic radiation around objects. Physics World.

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
