Reading Scripture helps us know God's Love. Every Bible verse is written for you. Jesus Christ is all mankind's Light. John 1!

Ezra 1 ~ that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit

Cyrus the Great

Ezra 1

In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom and also put it in writing:

2 “Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah. 3 Whoever is among you of all his people, may his God be with him, and let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and rebuild the house of the Lord, the God of Israel—he is the God who is in Jerusalem. 4 And let each survivor, in whatever place he sojourns, be assisted by the men of his place with silver and gold, with goods and with beasts, besides freewill offerings for the house of God that is in Jerusalem.”

5 Then rose up the heads of the fathers' houses of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests and the Levites, everyone whose spirit God had stirred to go up to rebuild the house of the Lord that is in Jerusalem. 6 And all who were about them aided them with vessels of silver, with gold, with goods, with beasts, and with costly wares, besides all that was freely offered. 7 Cyrus the king also brought out the vessels of the house of the Lord that Nebuchadnezzar had carried away from Jerusalem and placed in the house of his gods. 8 Cyrus king of Persia brought these out in the charge of Mithredath the treasurer, who counted them out to Sheshbazzar the prince of Judah. 9 And this was the number of them: 30 basins of gold, 1,000 basins of silver, 29 censers, 10 30 bowls of gold, 410 bowls of silver, and 1,000 other vessels; 11 all the vessels of gold and of silver were 5,400. All these did Sheshbazzar bring up, when the exiles were brought up from Babylonia to Jerusalem.

Objects in mirror are closer than they appear
Emperor Marcus Aurelius Antoninus (called Caracalla)

Several Kings had promised to free the slaves......

gap between object and reflection reveal the presence..

Which is rather a funny story in and of itself. Because Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes kings of Persia had promised FREEDOM.

The Exile, or Second Exodus began March 19 597 B.C.. And is fully recorded in Babylonian History

Which takes takes us out of dry, dusty history and places us fairly, and squarely back into the realms of faith!!!

Tablets even record rations. For King Jeconiah

All that delayed time. These people were hanging about in slavery. Poverty. What was the fuss of prophecy versus time delay? THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE BIBLICALLY!!!

No, God does believe in HIS own timing. Abraham....... waited. And finally Abraham decided to ask God if he could adopt Lot, his nephew, as a son. Nope.

Sarah waited so long, she laughed when that started to roll about. And not Really a nice laugh at that.

And Isaiah waited.... seven hundred years.

And.... Many times God appears to say yes... and mankind waits and waits. And sometimes you even see Scripture seemingly saying there are several different aspects. In the middle of this Passage - God declares.....

Malachi 3

 “Behold, I send my messenger, and he will prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to his temple; and the messenger of the covenant in whom you delight, behold, he is coming, says the Lord of hosts. 2 But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner's fire and like fullers' soap. 3 He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver, and he will purify the sons of Levi and refine them like gold and silver, and they will bring offerings in righteousness to the Lord.[a] 4 Then the offering of Judah and Jerusalem will be pleasing to the Lord as in the days of old and as in former years.

5 “Then I will draw near to you for judgment. I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, against the adulterers, against those who swear falsely, against those who oppress the hired worker in his wages, the widow and the fatherless, against those who thrust aside the sojourner, and do not fear me, says the Lord of hosts.

Robbing God

6 “For I the Lord do not change; therefore you, O children of Jacob, are not consumed. 7 From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from my statutes and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts. But you say, ‘How shall we return?’ 8 Will man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and contributions. 9 You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing me, the whole nation of you. 10 Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need. 11 I will rebuke the devourer[b] for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of your soil, and your vine in the field shall not fail to bear, says the Lord of hosts. 12 Then all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a land of delight, says the Lord of hosts.

13 “Your words have been hard against me, says the Lord. But you say, ‘How have we spoken against you?’ 14 You have said, ‘It is vain to serve God. What is the profit of our keeping his charge or of walking as in mourning before the Lord of hosts? 15 And now we call the arrogant blessed. Evildoers not only prosper but they put God to the test and they escape.’”

The Book of Remembrance

16 Then those who feared the Lord spoke with one another. The Lord paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the Lord and esteemed his name. 17 “They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him. 18 Then once more you shall see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.

How does God do that. Why do passages of the Word of God seem to poetically capitulate?

“For I the Lord do not change"

Well God, our Father, creator of all - uses all of willingly and unwillingly - to complete HIS Story. Ezra was a scribe. Before he led former slaves bravely through wilderness to a very destroyed and abandoned Jerusalem, he was only a scribe. A counter of religious law given a polite title of priest to an enslaved population. Between Nehemiah and Ezra, Ezra is remembered as rules, laws, rules, laws, rules, laws. Even a little constipated there. And unfortunately, threw out the Samaritans who later proved to be D.N.A. Children of Israel doing their level best to be remnants to the Temple of God. Sigh. We get a lot of things wrong.

How does God Capitulate? He is NOT. Does NOT. He gives consequences to disobedience. He explains the contrary nature of man. He looks for faith. Just like we look to our Parents for approval. Even adults do this. The exact nature of GOD was described in one word by a man who walked along side of Jesus in awe and wonder. LOVE.

Jesus understood the limited, selfish, and self-centered way we look upon HIM. Jesus saw the faith of the centurion just to a WORD of God and was completely pleased.

Jesus was probably rather saddened to say even a corrupt Judge is worn down by someone refusing to accept injustice.

How are we going to see God? As the prodigal Father running to us? God says the work He gives us is to believe in HIM. Surely He would rather have said. It is your priviledge to believe how deep, how wide, how high, is the Love I have for you.

This is Our Father. HE would save.... the world.

Genesis 2 ~ knowing good and evil

And they tempt you with the pleasures
That the flesh does surely hold
They say Eve tempted Adam with an apple
But man I ain't going for that
So many people think Eve was a sexual story. That apple. Those curves. Indeed this is not the case.

Eve was interested in something far and away more intriguing. Eve came from a mystical place. Indeed she was from the beginning of the earth. The Garden of Eden. She had seen Adam commune with God in the Garden and she has aspirations. Something greater.

Of course Eve is not a real person.
 All these Bible stories are just mythology and stories of men in grass skirts.
 Unless you are interested in proof.

In the field of human genetics, the name Mitochondrial Eve refers to the matrilineal most recent common ancestor (MRCA) of all currently living anatomically modern humans, who is estimated to have lived approximately 140,000–200,000 years ago. This is the most recent woman from whom all living humans today descend, on their mother’s side, and through the mothers of those mothers, and so on, back until all lines converge on one person.

Eve had aspirations.
 Enter the snake.
I heard it through the grapevine
not much longer would you be mine. Oh Eden.
Oh I heard it through the grapevine,
Oh and I'm just about to lost my Eden.
Honey, honey yeah.

Gen 2
“You will not surely die. For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate

and of course ....

and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loincloths.

And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden

Was there a time we could compare to the Lost Garden of Eden.... Of course, His Story repeats. We have lessons to learn.

Judges 17:6
In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did what was right in his own eyes.

By the end of The Book of Judges, the Israelites are in a worse condition than the beginning, a cyclical pattern of lack of faith. The Book of Judges not a lot of mercy there. And the wide path tells us the Wrathful God was for men in grass skirts.

All this sounds quite terrible, there is just one little situation....

Teachers,
Keep on teachin'
Preachers,
Keep on preachin',
World, keep on turnin',
'Cause it won't be too long.
Oh, no
Lovers,
Keep on lovin'
While believers
Keep on believin'.
Sleepers,
Just stop sleepin'
'Cause it won't be too long.
Oh, no!

Our decisions and judgements get us through life! Jesus told us wide was the freeway to destruction. The Narrow path is deciding His Haven is our support. Knowing the storms will come. Our haven is the desired path. Letting each day be sufficient.

Proverbs 14:10
The heart knows its own bitterness, and no stranger shares its joy.

Letting that port find the Joy and the Strength.

Who had to make decisions of right and wrong? We all do. Eve chose to want to be God. Not allow His Spoken Word to lead her. She placed her desires beyond those of her family, her husband. And we don't see repentance, she just left the Garden.

Higher Ground ~
Finding the right verse for the right situation. There are so many "systems of tubes" to attach the Right Word Fittingly to the Right Situation. Turn the Cheek. Reprove, Correct. Be all things to all men. WHAT????

Hey Wait ~ I have a real complaint ` remember with me the apostles knew something about Wisdom.

2 Peter 3:8
Do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Even in the Iron Age, the Psalmist knew:

Psalm 90:4
For a thousand years in your sight are but as yesterday when it is past, or as a watch in the night.

Okay.Okay.Okay. Did the point drift? NO, I'm saying these old stories are rooted and grounded in Wisdom.

The Book of Judges was about timing.

Ecclesiastes 3
For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:

2 a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted;
3 a time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace
.

******Israel had to establish herself away from the other countries - their path to God or holiness was not existent. Before mercy can be given, Israel had to have the place to establish her strength.

From there we see God DOES have guidelines. In the end is our beginning...

The Last Chapter of Ecclesiastes is 12:
The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.

Jesus told us He did not come to abolish the Law and Prophets.

Continuing that End Theme:

John 4:
But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

Beginning, Ending and Off the Grid.

David was called off the beaten path. He ate the Holy Bread to continue the good fight.

Noah was called off the beaten path. He swung the hammer each day in faith.

Jesus was called off the beaten path - mostly. People had to find Jesus and HE was busy eating grain during the Sabbath - healing and calling for mercy over Sacrifice.

We are all called off the beaten path. And we are going to have to decide our decisions, words and works matter before that split second decision is needed. The Lord's Prayer helps exceedingly and contains Grace with a Huge Thing Christians Love - Heaven on Earth. And the proper attitude in His Holiness, we let Him Decide.

Joshua was given something we can hang on to - not to the right or the left. Balance.

Micah gave the phrase I trot out so often. Give Mercy with Justice, Walk Humbly with Him.

Proverbs 18:15
An intelligent heart acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

Job 28:28
“And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the LORD, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.”

John 15
7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.

Psalm 103:17
But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD's love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children's children--

Something the Bible gives us throughout all of Scripture - the idea God has a plan - has Wisdom and will help those willing to call upon Him in faith.

Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Acts 11:19-26 ~ what the grace of God had done

Paul and Barnabas - imagine in setting of today

Acts 11:19-26   ~ Today's New International Version

19 Now those who had been scattered by the persecution that broke out when Stephen was killed traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch, spreading the word only among Jews. 20 Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus. 21 The Lord's hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord.

22 News of this reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. 23 When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. 24 He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.

25 Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, 26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch.

9 years ago, a major news network ran a series of articles on Christians being courted and praised by major corporations for being interested in animal conditions, interested in recycling & being green and the insurance industry loved insuring Christians because fewer claims led to profitably. 5 years ago, the same major news network had a survey saying Christians are the ones supporting torture for war prisoners.

Part of the problem is the New Testament, I heard about this in an orthodox Bible study. Apparently, the Old Testament has sinners and sins, but Jesus lived on the earth and gave us the Holy Spirit, so in the New Testament – even in this passage – it’s all about good news and good men. Let’s be clear…. this perception is wrong.

What is true, yesterday, today and tomorrow is that man needs the Savior Jesus Christ. Clearly, the Bible tells us our need for love in a difficult world and then salvation given as a gift. But first, we need to brush away the cobwebs telling us good men don’t have problems and are so squeaky clean no one can relate to them. The same cobwebs tell us the men of the New Testament went on joy rides wearing a halo, born with a bishop’s hat, long hair (looking so unruffled that they look stuffed) and getting hoards of people to join up.

One of the reasons my father didn’t attend church was told to me, one time, he said he just didn’t compare to the men leading the good lives of the men in Church. This is where we are seeing a polarization between the saved and the seeking. If the saved cannot have compassion for the lost lamb, why would the lost lamb seek to be found?

We should look at the men of the New Testament, but it’s plain out of fashion to be interested in the saints. But, hey, these men point out that they had problems, too, and they still looked to Jesus. We don’t have to see these men as stuffed icons. These men had miscommunication with other good men, wives that traveled with them, problems of popularity and isolation, friendships were both blessing and bain, outside work issues, Christianity issues, law enforcement issues, confusion issues in direction, conformity and hypocrisy. And another huge issue, safety issues.

This was not the life of iconic saints riding on a sanitized cloud. But thanks to God, these men had days/weeks/years of seeing unsurpassed blessing. Barnabas’ name means son of Encouragement. This amazing outpouring of the Holy Spirit gave love worth passing on.

Psalm 98 ~ Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!

Psalm 98

Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things!

His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.

 2 The Lord has made known his salvation; he has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations. 3 He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises!

5 Sing praises to the Lord with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody!

6 With trumpets and the sound of the horn make a joyful noise before the King, the Lord!

7 Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; the world and those who dwell in it!

 8 Let the rivers clap their hands; let the hills sing for joy together 9 before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with righteousness, and the peoples with equity.

The Psalmist equates the ebb, flow and swell of the Temple music to that of the sea. A very talented reminder that nature, creativity and worship flow together.

The people and King Solomon ~ in the midst of celebrating God's Glory filling the brand new Temple!!!

This wonderful season of history has the people and King Solomon spending  Time Praising God.

Then God says trouble will come. Nations will collapse. Economies will crumble. But the Temple is where you come to know you have refuge in God. The world was created to have difficulties in this life. In the midst of strife, there is always a place for you to go. To God. To the one who cares where you will be for eternity. To the one who cares what happens to you in this life and how you feel about your life. To the one who says cast aside your own troubles and care for others as He cares for you.

Repent. Re-connect to God. Re-new. Have Hope
.

Psalm 108:13
With God we shall do valiantly;
it is he who will tread down our foes.

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you

Psalm 54:4
Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is the sustainer of my soul.

John 5:17
Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working."

The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.

 1 Thessalonians 2:13
  And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.

Luke 19:1-10 ~ Today salvation

Luke 19:1-10

He entered Jericho and was passing through. 2 And behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus. He was a chief tax collector and was rich. 3 And he was seeking to see who Jesus was, but on account of the crowd he could not, because he was small in stature. 4 So he ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him, for he was about to pass that way.

 5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, hurry and come down, for I must stay at your house today.” 6 So he hurried and came down and received him joyfully. 7 And when they saw it, they all grumbled, “He has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.”

8 And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.”

9 And Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, since he also is a son of Abraham. 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

We usually all start out in life with a lot of expectations. If you grew up in Church, the correct answer was Jesus. And we thrilled our parents letting them know this.

But cha know, we all gotta make our way in life. We need to plan carefully and think and re-think. Worry is needed. Make all the good choices. Work hard.

We need to take the moment we have and just REJOICE with all our might.

Oops. Little endurance needed now.

Rise up keep going. Best foot forward.
However be smart
Where will you be at the end of the day

Matthew 13
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart. This is what was sown along the path. 20 As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away. 22 As for what was sown among thorns, this is the one who hears the word, but the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it proves unfruitful. 23 As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.

When you've had a day with sensory overload.  Processing all the things I heard this week, missing times when the news didn't seem to be filled with allies and invasions.

You have to look at all the open drawers and see what mattered to you. Today, we prayed for the Children to go to Sunday School and know how much Jesus loves them. And that's my cue. I pray for these children, my just-about-grown children. I pray for the way HE would raise all of us up.

The answer is still Jesus. Do we expect HIM to show up. Or are we going to make all the brilliant James Bond moves ourselves. And I pray for the people given to me in life to know HIM.

Once you've been through the storm a few times, you have some gratitude at getting over That Part. And you can look back and say "I get why Jesus slept through the storm!" God will do what HE will. And when you've been doing that long enough, you decide you can still walk along HIM with wonder.

Wanting to share the reason we endure with hope, faith and love. Wanting to see HIM run to them. And to see that face registering the joy and expectation HE does bring. No one else can say all things are possible with HIM.
Why do we want to share HIM? Because HE brings endurance, hope, character, compassion. Faith. LOVE. He believes we will go forward to HIM. HE believes in us. People will swirl, squelch, quibble, squabble, but the people who stick it out go far.

Matthew 24:13
The one who endures to the end will be saved. The one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Hebrews 10:39
We are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and preserve their souls.

Hebrews 1
Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world. 3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.

Today. If you hear His voice - Today.

Realize He is the God who would run to you. Longs to hold you in his arms, as a Hen gathers her young. And feels all the Love and Compassion to uphold you. This is the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Living. Active. Adopting John on the way to the cross. And Mary Magdalene on the triumphant return. Our Father and HIS.

I will never leave or forsake you. And the joy of the Lord is Strength.

The answer is still Jesus.

Psalm 24 ~ He has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.

Psalm 24

The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein,
2 for he has founded it upon the seas
and established it upon the rivers.

3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
and does not swear deceitfully.

5 He will receive blessing from the Lord
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6 Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek the face of the God of Jacob. Selah

7 Lift up your heads, O gates!
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
8 Who is this King of glory?

The Lord, strong and mighty,
the Lord, mighty in battle!
9 Lift up your heads, O gates!
And lift them up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is this King of glory?

The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory! Selah

Lift up your heads, O gates!
And be lifted up, O ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?

In the beginning,
God created the heavens and the earth.

The earth was without form and void,
and darkness was over the face of the deep.

The Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.

2 Peter 3:8
Do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

And God said, “Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.” And God made the expanse and separated the waters that were under the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse. And it was so.

God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

Proverbs 8
  Jesus the Word of God Manifest

22 “The Lord possessed me at the beginning of his work,
the first of his acts of old.

Ages ago I was set up,
at the first, before the beginning of the earth.
When there were no depths I was brought forth,
when there were no springs abounding with water.
Before the mountains had been shaped,
before the hills, I was brought forth,
before he had made the earth with its fields,
or the first of the dust of the world.

When he established the heavens, I was there;
when he drew a circle on the face of the deep,

when he made firm the skies above,
when he established the fountains of the deep,
when he assigned to the sea its limit,

so that the waters might not transgress his command,
when he marked out the foundations of the earth,

then I was beside him, like a master workman,
and I was daily his delight,

rejoicing before him always,
31 rejoicing in his inhabited world
and delighting in the children of man.

The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

A simple blog, scripture-for-today.blogspot

This blog is pretty simple, but for a reason. This blog isn't about agenda or me, it is for the joy and love to found by reading the Scriptures. Ultimately, it is you and the Lord.

The Scriptures are Father God's letter to you. He wanted you to know more, to know He loves you.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
