Matthew 6:6 ~ When you pray

Pray

Newsboys - Greatness Of Our God (Official Lyric Video)

Matthew 6:6

When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Real Life Human Stories Christians collect walking the Journey with Jesus.

We know Prayer is ongoing and private. I have heard from people having amazing miracles from Jesus and they say things like this, "I prayed 500 times a day telling myself this was going to be resolved by God in my favor." He beat serious Cancer twice.

Matthew 6:16
And when you fast, do not look gloomy like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by others. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward.

We know Crying isn't necessary for effective prayer. Love is important.

James 5:16

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

The humility of knowing we all sin. Extreme illness brings up anger, remorse, guilt, frustration, isolation, bewilderment. Grief makes anger eventually. Being able to see we are all imperfect is to recall Love. When we can Love we can heal.

Scripture. Real. Real. Real. The Pool of Bethesda. The man had been there for 38 years waiting for the miraculous waters to be stirred, but in 38 years had not gotten to the waters... then he turns Jesus into the Head of the Temple Authorities for the audacity to heal him. Emotions surround healing and illness. Grief.

1 Thessalonians 5:17

Pray without ceasing,

Conversational prayer. With Your Father. When Joseph prayed in Matthew 1, it's written he was considering. In all probability, Joseph would have a thought on something said during the crisis pregnancy and turn to God and say, "Do You think this too?"

There is a hilarious play called, "A Tuna Christmas." And as the chain smoker decorates the entire house for Christmas, the songs progress between puffs on the perpetual cigarette, skipping the parts during the cigarette inhale and exhale. That singing was internal. I laughed for years. Perfect analogy for prayer.

Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

We don't have to hype up emotion to be sincere and get God's Attention. God is fully capable of being God.  I've know a woman who is a Doctor healed from failing blood vessels to the eyes by going to every healing service and those across the country. And her healing was sudden and gradual.

Most of the People healed with cancer, just kept on living. And living. And Living.

Romans 8:26
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.

Matthew 6:7
And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words.

Matthew 26. Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus did not follow any pattern of Scripture to ask for Life and Peace. Jesus sort of repeated His Prayer. The way a Beloved Child speaks to His Father. We come to God as we are. God Knows.

God is saying His Purpose is Salvation and Prayer. Father God intercedes for us to be understood in Prayer.

1 John 5:14
And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.

Ephesians 6:18
Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints,

Matthew 6:9-13
Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil."

Philippians 1

3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.

6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

7 It is right for me to feel this way about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel.

8 For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. 9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,
filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ,
to the glory and praise of God.

Romans 12:2
you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Father, Father, Abba,

God who dwells in my soul, mind, heart and body.

Thank You for the Blessing memories I have. The Beautiful friends who pray easily and genuinely together. Joy. Partnership in the Gospel of our lives yesterday, today and tomorrow. Living.

I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Today. Yesterday. Tomorrow.

Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Psalm 118:24
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Today. Today. Today.

The day of Jesus is the Joy of holding those we Love in our hearts. Today. I bless You, Father God, today for Alexander saying with love and care of others - even to the Coast of the Continent. The Joy to visit even in our heart. The discussions of children to be born. Weddings to see. Grandchildren to hold on our knee to age 101. Psalm 128 - The Living Word of seeing our grandchildren. Discerning the GOOD, GLORIOUS WORD OF GOD for our very lives.

Just as David proclaimed and proclaimed - The Mercy of God Prevails.

Seeing the righteous give the defense and confirmation of the Gospel. Even in High Holy Days unto Piano Rehearsals and Sing Alongs.

For God is my witness and the Blessing memories of Psalm 128 Discussions of long life in Jesus and seeing grandchildren.

And it is my prayer that Jesus' love may abound more and more, with knowledge

and all discernment,
so that you may approve what is
excellent,
and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, the days we Love.
filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ,
to the Glory and praise of God.

We Pray more Heaven on earth carrying us all and the nation and nations in Jesus Christ. Amen.

And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,
filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ,
to
the glory and praise of God.

Matthew 1:20-23 ~ he considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream

Praying Continually

Matthew 1:20-23

20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).

Psalm 4:8
In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

When people speak of being healed by the Lord God our Father, continual prayer is spoken of.

Joseph is in thought. Our thoughts are not private from God. God acts to answer Joseph in his sleep. There are three dreams of great importance during Jesus being saved from power and pleasant lives. Joseph has two dreams, the Magi have a dream.

God was laughed at by Sarah. And when she was taken by King Abimelek, God gave a powerful dream to save her.

God gave Joseph dreams about his future upsetting his brothers and then Pharoah's dream set Joseph free. Apparently, for Joseph - he was done in by all of his brothers and his employers in Egypt. Dreams led Joseph as he was reunited with his brothers.

Psalm 46:1-3
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

Proverbs 18:10
The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.

Jesus tells us to pray believing God will hear us. Pray Believing in the Mercy of God.

Colossians 3:14
And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

Matthew 18:19
Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.

Father God,

This is a true statement and worthy of all of mankind to be received.
Jesus Christ Died to Save Sinners.

May You give us the Joy of knowing Jesus Loves us and hears us and heals us.

May the Glory of God be what I strive for. May the Love of Christ be the Strength of my Joy. May the Mercy of Jesus be the only righteousness I know to be mine. May the Words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be pleasing and acceptable, to You, Lord Father God.

Jesus, the Rock and Salvation I hope for the world and for those I love so dearly.

We ask in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Psalm 55 ~ Give ear to my prayer, O God, and hide not yourself from my plea for mercy!

Pilgrimage, hiking Ziklag, part of the Negev desert and semi-desert region of southern Israel. Archaeological explorations reveal some of the earliest presence in Ziklag is early Israel. This is actually David's home.

David, warrior and mercenary, lived in a trench. His family was all stolen, kidnapped, in 1 Samuel 30. David understood personal war.

Psalm 55

To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments. A Maskila of David.

1 Give ear to my prayer, O God,
and hide not yourself from my plea for mercy!
2 Attend to me, and answer me;
I am restless in my complaint and I moan,
3 because of the noise of the enemy,
because of the oppression of the wicked.
For they drop trouble upon me,
and in anger they bear a grudge against me.

4 My heart is in anguish within me;
the terrors of death have fallen upon me.

5 Fear and trembling come upon me,
and horror overwhelms me.

6 And I say, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove!

I would fly away and be at rest;
7 yes, I would wander far away;
I would lodge in the wilderness; Selah

8 I would hurry to find a shelter
from the raging wind and tempest.”

It's highly doubtful David believed he would be singing about his worst part of personal war.

The Church has always gone forth with those who are putting Perish on the line. And as the men of God looked back with faith, they have believed very strongly God has saved souls as the battle is raging. God does not abandon the prayer in complete fear.

Mark 9
When Jesus came down from the Transfiguration, Jesus was greeted by failing and complaining Disciples and a father in total fear over his son. The father cried out for healing if it was possible. Jesus responded with fortitude, " And Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, “I believe; help my unbelief!”

The father says so very earnestly, "I do have faith, help me to have More Faith!"

If we read Mark 9 again, we find Jesus always, always intended to heal the son. He has already, very quickly, started teaching the Disciples how to do this better next time.

Father God always intends to be Father God. Jesus is not giving the Basketball Dunk Lesson on Self Fulfillment. God is God. He has even told us we are flowers in the field without Jesus.

Many times, Messengers of God say as instructed... "FEAR NOT!"

The Ten Talent Child and Servant of Father God would say, "Of course, God is Father." The Lesson on 'fear not' is to relax our mind. To not cling to worry. To find Life has Joy as Jesus instructs the week Jesus Gives us His Life Forever.

Psalm 55 is the absolute terror of personal war. With the memory David would later sing to God for His Deliverance. David had his crisis leading others in crisis, with mutiny. A Personal Crisis with barbed wire. Later, David would praise God for His Help to find his family, to save a nation, to complete the Tribe of Judah and fulfill Destiny - God's Plan.

God is God of all. God of those in crisis. God of the fearful. God of the hopeful. God of those expecting to help others. God of those surrounded by a rough crowd. (David's mercenary followers were not crumpets and tea.)

Joy

Maybe David could think past dealing with a crowd of mutinous thugs to regain his family, because he had some faith. Maybe this faith kept his mind clear enough. Jesus said several times to Rise. Believing God is God, we can see past the stone wall to the Faith God is never going to leave. Hope. Help. Helper. Solutions.

David writes so well of terror. He proclaims his fear. God is not ashamed to call Himself a Father to David. We can create a memory of David living in a trench in fear and being the plan for Jesus Christ. David was uncomfortable living in a trench - see the stones - David believed God and the Rock of Jesus Christ is his foundation.

With faith, we are more than conquerors in Jesus Christ.

 We have this example to hold on to.

A rational thought on fear:

We believe God sees us as we are. God knows our heart, mind and soul. Our past, present and future. We sincerely hate to show God fear. We believe to show God fear is to secretly insult God. Fear does not offend a Father. God tells us He wants to live with us and give us His Helper - God's Holy Spirit.

God is our Helper.

Psalm 131

O Lord, my heart is not lifted up;
my eyes are not raised too high;
I do not occupy myself with things
too great and too marvelous for me.
2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul,
like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child is my soul within me.

3 O Israel, hope in the Lord
from this time forth and forevermore.

Psalm 132

Remember, O Lord, in David's favor,
all the hardships he endured

2 how he swore to the Lord
and vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob,
3 “I will not enter my house
or get into my bed,
4 I will not give sleep to my eyes
or slumber to my eyelids,
5 until I find a place for the Lord,
a dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

6 Behold, we heard of it in Ephrathah;
we found it in the fields of Jaar.
7 “Let us go to his dwelling place;
let us worship at his footstool!”

8 Arise, O Lord, and go to your resting place,
you and the ark of your might.
9 Let your priests be clothed with righteousness,
and let your saints shout for joy.
10 For the sake of your servant David,
do not turn away the face of your anointed one.

11 The Lord swore to David a sure oath
from which he will not turn back:

“One of the sons of your body
I will set on your throne.
12 If your sons keep my covenant
and my testimonies that I shall teach them,
their sons also forever
shall sit on your throne.”

13 For the Lord has chosen Zion;
he has desired it for his dwelling place:
14 “This is my resting place forever;
here I will dwell, for I have desired it.
15 I will abundantly bless her provisions;
I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 Her priests I will clothe with salvation,
and her saints will shout for joy.
17 There I will make a horn to sprout for David;
I have prepared a lamp for my anointed.
18 His enemies I will clothe with shame,
but on Him
His crown will shine.”

The Helper of God gives us this!

Psalm 133

Behold, how good and pleasant it is
when brothers dwell in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil on the head,
running down on the beard,
on the beard of Aaron,
running down on the collar of his robes!

Peace

3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
which falls on the mountains of Zion!
For there the Lord has commanded the blessing,
life forevermore.

Feels like it's never gonna

Gotta get that fire, fire, back in my bones

Before my heart, heart, turns into stone

So somebody please pass the megaphone

I'll shout it on the count of three
One, two, three

Oh, hear my prayer tonight, I'm singing to the sky...

Give me strength
...to raise my voice, let me testify
Oh, hear my prayer tonight, 'cause this is do or die

The time has come to make a choice

And I choose JESUS
Let it move you, let it move you, let it move you
Yeah, I choose The Lord!

For me and my house - we chose the Lord God.

Acts 3 ~ walking and praising God, and recognized Him

Acts 3

Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour. 2 And a man lame from birth was being carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple that is called the Beautiful Gate to ask alms of those entering the temple. 3 Seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked to receive alms. 4 And Peter directed his gaze at him, as did John, and said, “Look at us.” 5 And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them. 6 But Peter said, “I have no silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!” 7 And he took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles were made strong. 8 And leaping up, he stood and began to walk, and entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God. 9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 and recognized him as the one who sat at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, asking for alms. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

11 While he clung to Peter and John, all the people, utterly astounded, ran together to them in the portico called Solomon's. 12 And when Peter saw it he addressed the people: “Men of Israel, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we have made him walk? 13 The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus, whom you delivered over and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him. 14 But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15 and you killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses. 16 And his name—by faith in his name—has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.

17 “And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers. 18 But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled.

19 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, 20 that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, 21 whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago.

22 Moses said, ‘The Lord God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall listen to him in whatever he tells you. 23 And it shall be that every soul who does not listen to that prophet shall be destroyed from the people.’ 24 And all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and those who came after him, also proclaimed these days.

25 You are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant that God made with your fathers, saying to Abraham, ‘And in your offspring shall all the families of the earth be blessed.’ 26 God, having raised up his servant, sent him to you first, to bless you by turning every one of you from your wickedness.”

Isaiah 2:4
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Two million people showed up in Times Square to celebrate May 8, 1945 - the end of World War II. Josephus tells us in Antiquities of the Jews - 2 million showed up when Multitudes are seen in High Holy Days of Jerusalem. This would be the multitudes of Acts when Believers filled the Temple and Jerusalem knowing Jesus had been Resurrected.

How shall we remember - with our best efforts - the Bravery shown in this Nation,
in Scripture and History?

The Battle of Verdun in 1916 killed so many fine men, the advancing World War II was held in utter and complete horror. Today Verdun, France has many no man zones due to the horrific number of land mines - still in waiting from World War I. World War II was horrible, but in many details from both sides, atrocities were omitted in World War II.

We honor bravery by finding a true peace. Remembering how hard fought the Peace is.

This weekend we spent time watching Ken Burn's "Civil War." The Lessons were well learned.

Jesus, the Gospels tell us, "Healed them all." And Father God forgave them all, even Good Friday.

Abba,

We seek to live Your Willing Blessings. Filled with Life, Faith and Health.

Jesus chose Capernaum and in His Blessings, Capernaum stood for close to 1,400 years in peace.

We would ask like John 17, Jesus would pray with us. Seeking You as the Centurion did.

We remember Your Word is Law. And Your Word is always filled.

Father God, we plead with You earnestly, as the people who knew the Capernaum Centurion in Luke 7 knew, we Love Your Children and know You work even today and work with Jesus still working. Building up the Body of Jesus Christ.

Because Your Word is Law, we know distance is not important. Your Word upholds the Universe.

Say the Word and our earnest prayer requests are held by You and are under Your authority. What ever You heal, remains healed.

Speak the Word of Healing and Peace, please. We will find wellness.

Bring Your Merciful Word to the ones we Love. The Children You have placed in our lives. Let Your Mercy cover the Nation. And the Nations who want to Live in the Brightness of Your Glory.

In the Name of Jesus, we are Blessed. Amen.

The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
