Ecclesiastes 11 ~ you will find

 Frozen water in Taylor, Texas

Edward read Ecclesiastes in his forties and has been somewhat concerned ever since. But the truth we are supposed to hold on to is God hearing our prayers.  Even in 200 A.D, when Europe had unknown tornadoes and people suddenly struck by lightning. When earthquakes were experienced. The whole Roman Empire began to fear counting down the years was a mistake.

I doubt we are in this time. But Pandemics are when extraordinary events occur. The last one had a world war not being widely printed and reported to make sure we won the war.

Colossians 1:27
To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

21 people died in Texas this week from the cold.
Covid is a cold virus where the immune system suddenly goes in to overload. Not very effectively. I've lost 1% of my Facebook friends to Covid or sudden illness during the season. Cold, no one voted on wind turbines and outdated systems. No one voted on a nuclear reactor that failed. One of our Energy Companies has shut down an amazing number of nuclear reactors across the USA, rather than keep repairing them.

The Late T Boone Pickens encouraged Wind Energy. The UK did this and the early reports told about the bird devestation and the pillage of the poorer part of the UK, Wales. A very expensive rich man's game, with a lot of oil and parts. Not great. Not voted in by wholy owned, not government owned, energy providers.  California summer energy failures.

Ecclesiastes 11

Cast your bread upon the waters,
for you will find it after many days.

2 Give a portion to seven, or even to eight

For you know not what disaster may happen on earth.
3 If the clouds are full of rain,
they empty themselves on the earth,
and if a tree falls to the south or to the north,
in the place where the tree falls, there it will lie.
4 He who observes the wind will not sow,
and he who regards the clouds will not reap.

5 As you do not know the way the spirit comes to the bones in the womb of a woman with child, so you do not know the work of God who makes everything.

6 In the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good.

7 Light is sweet, and it is pleasant for the eyes to see the sun.

8 So if a person lives many years, let him rejoice in them all; but let him remember that the days of darkness will be many. All that comes is vanity.

9 Rejoice, O young man, in your youth, and let your heart cheer you in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes. But know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

10 Remove vexation from your heart, and put away pain from your body, for youth and the dawn of life are vanity.

Today, I felt extremely overwhelmed.
My sinuses were showing a cold, and showed a dime size amount of blood. I hadn't bathed or changed clothes in freezing weather. Our discussions ran between making sure sinks dripped and who got to avoid the toilets near the exterior walls. The house looked like everything fell out of the cabinets. Candles, matches, gloves and hats. Most of our towels are outside over very frozen plants. Most of our coats were on top of the covers on the bed to combat the 12' weather. At one point I told Edward, we might die of the weight of the blankets, throw rugs and coats on us on the bed.

And as I prayed, I knew my job was to get along with everyone.
Even Edward who has gone into some anger and some confusion with the total disarray. Outside electrical circuits needed adjusting. Snow on the ground isn't conducive happiness there.

Our electricity came back. We were more fortunate than 3 million other Texans.
Who have heartbreaking stories: Like apartment ceilings collapsed and now everything they own is under the upstairs neighbor's water pipes bringing down the ceilings. People who did everything to their pipes and preparations and the city had water mains break, damaging their pipes. Cities frozen in to staying at home by icy roads. Hotels suddenly charging $500 a night.

It took hours and hours for the heat to feel like heat.
I took vitamins and looked at what was the messiest house I'd ever seen here. I physically felt tired and drained. Chunking out dismal thoughts, I decided, do what I could. Suddenly, the ball was rolling. Edward was really helping.

Friends and neighbors texted solutions and questions.
Neighbors brought us extension cords. Visiting as we walked down slush streets. Happy Dogs. Sunshine. Reason to Hope. One neighbor had a pipe burst, and they were off to Home Depot to find out how to fix it because plumbers will be very busy. Our Pool Repairman sent his ideas on repair. We are praying for those frozen pipes. Took off the pump lid and put Christmas lights on the exposed pipes.

1. We have learned to run the car in the garage to protect the pipes and the car battery. Run it 3 minutes. Don't breathe it. Several hours later do this to the other car. Don't breathe it.

2. Keep the pipes dripping.

3. Frozen pool pipes, remove the pump lid and put on Christmas lights to allow the pressure in the pipes somewhere to go.

4. Pray over the plants and trees. Pray a lot. Pray for everyone you think of.

5. If you decide to buy a generator, and you have limited electrical knowledge - according to what we have seen this week - it takes the genius men about 2 hours to get it working. Shockingly, one government official is asking us to do this. If you put this in your garage, you will find carbon monoxide could kill you. This isn't for kicks.

And if the grid was being taken down with iffy power ideas, why didn't we get the choice to put in systems ahead of time. Tesla might be great some day. Bloom Box seemed all that.  I'm not happy to find these changes were done, it's a fat surprise. Voting is for us to live life. As adults.

Is Ecclesiastes 11 Depressing?
Could be. But Casting your bread on the waters is a faith effort. It was always a favorite expression of my mother's. Who wants soggy bread? No one. Jesus provides abundantly.

Watching all the disasters that could possibly overtake you, could make you sit out life.
And in the Gulf of Mexico, it's possible warm air arrives immediately - with prayer. It's not even remote when we consider how the Hurricane Storms change in forecast. Please God, less weather of this type this week. In Jesus, our hope, Amen.

How are we going to remove Vexation
Well planning to. Being kind to someone will erase a lot of internal venom. Allowing the kindness given to seep in. Enjoy Kindness done for you.  Pass kindness along.

Lately, the phrase, "Forsake Wrath and Forsake Anger." Has helped. God can do God sized jobs. God doesn't take Wrath lightly and Nahum 2 says, God doesn't even have to take wrath twice. Once is plenty. Let God weigh out all the options on that and decide. Maybe the phrase is Living Word! This has really helped me this last couple of weeks.

The Scriptures indicate just putting out our effort will take us out of problems.

Good point. Jesus helps us sleep late at night. With God's Comfort we rest and renew.
A prayer worthy to have, to sleep like Jesus in the Boat of the Sea of Galilee. Letting God help us to make it to the situation easily and to pray and see results, hopefully Jesus quickly.

Abba, Father God,

We pray to seek You first.
We pray You will hear our prayer for those we love to seek You First.

And we have taken every care and concern we have, to You.

You told us not even to plan our words.

Let the Winds and the Water Obey Jesus

We will rest to have the thoughts of our heart,
the inspiration of our lips
be always Pleasing and Acceptable to You
Oh Lord,
Our Rock and Our Redeemer.

In the Highest Name of Jesus.
Cover All. Amen.

Amen in Jesus Christ

Psalm 131 ~ my soul within me

Greetings from the Frozen Texas Tundra. Quite a few Texans, like us, are without electricity.

This Post is made by batteries and Sterno lamp. We think we have a miracle, the garage is 41'. Amazing, outside, presently, it's 14'. Tonight the projections are 10'.  Father God protect all the old people. the young and the vulnerable. Like my mother in Dallas had her power off. A neighbor asked them to stay with her, however there was no way to get a car to drive there, the roads were treacherous. Fortunately! My mother's power is back on! She and her caregiver Edith are far happier to have electricity and warmth.

This morning we had tap water hot water, tepid, Folger's Coffee. We called it, "Luke, I am your father."

God bless all the Entergy and ERCOT employees. Let all the Brilliant people work tonight until none of us will be frozen. I'm grateful to Gov. Abbott and our Congressional Representatives who have put out public statements telling us what is happening. I think in this situation, this is real bravery.

Psalm 131

A Song of Ascents. Of David.

O Lord, my heart is not lifted up;
my eyes are not raised too high;
I do not occupy myself with things
too great and too marvelous for me.
But I have calmed and quieted my soul,
like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child is my soul within me.

O Israel,
Hope in the Lord
from this time forth
and forevermore.

Mark 10

46 Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

48 And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”

49 And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.”

And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart. Get up; he is calling you.”

50 And throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus.

51 And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.”

52 And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.”

And immediately he recovered his sight
and followed Him on the way.

Luke 17:11-19

12 And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance 13 and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.”

14 When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.”

And as they went they were cleansed.

15 Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; 16 and he fell on his face at Jesus' feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan.

17 Then Jesus answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? 18 Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?”

19 And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.”

James lived as Jesus Brother.

During the ministry of Jesus, James is only shown a few times. And Jesus knew James would be part of God's Plan. Acts 1, Acts 2 and again in Corinthians, Paul spoke of Jesus' Brothers being an ongoing part of the Way, Truth and Life of Jesus. Eusebius reports the loyalty of Jesus' family 400 years later in Nazareth.

Too great and too marvelous for me. But I have calmed and quieted my soul

like a weaned child with its mother;

like a weaned child is my soul within me

James 1:12-18

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

We pray not to become fossilized tonight or this week.

Let the Light of God prevail.

Abba, Heavenly Father,

We give You Thanks for Your Mercies, Willing Blessings. Every day.

Help us to hold our Blessings, see them, live them and build our lives with Your help.
We want to hold on to Your Truth and Blessings.

With Jesus may we be strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might,
for all endurance and patience with joy.

In Your Good Creation, we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, asking more Heaven on earth in Your Good Will, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him.

Seeking Jesus and Your Kingdom, the Power of Your Word,
Please let Your steadfast Love have its full effect, and we will be perfect and complete,
lacking in nothing.

We will impudently ask, in Expectation of Jesus and His Righteousness,
to fill those we Love with Jesus and His Holy Spirit.
And electricity.

And we know that for those who love God
all things work together for good,
for those who are called according to His purpose.

Today, we had a mosquito report from a local park, apparently
mosquitos are gone. Thank God.

Your Mercy  on those quarantined and ill. For the families to have peace and wellness.
I'd actually prefer February today of 2021 with the end of the Pandemic in sight
to the uncertainty of worldwide Pandemic.

Your Blessings on our Nation trusting in You.

The calming of minds in the Pandemic, the idea of harmony and peace.
With thanks to the industry supplying the power to give us electricity.

Without Electricity, one certainly sees the point of early to bed, early to rise.

For all the people we know who have been ill and we are praying for. Giving thanks for those having Miracles, giving thanks for these Acts of God.

We lift up our cares counting on Your Goodness.
Help us always seek You first.
And we earnestly pray to see more Heaven on earth.
And far more electricity soon, please!

For Your Kingdom, Your Power and Your Glory.
Thank You Jesus. Amen.

♔ Lord Jesus Saves!

Father God, we ask you to restore and strengthen all the people who are without electricity during this winter storm. We pray for safety of the people, the animals, the pets the dwellings and homes. We ask road safety, water safety plant safety and safe trees.

We ask To live in hope during this difficult time.  The name of Jesus Christ, Savior, Amen

We ask for people to not be so dispirited

Psalm 130 ~ O Lord, hear my voice!

Psalm 130

Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!
2     O Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleas for mercy!

3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,
    O Lord, who could stand?
4 But with you there is forgiveness,
    that you may be feared.

5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
    and in His Word I hope;
6 my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.

7 O Israel, hope in the Lord!
For with the Lord there is steadfast love,
and with him is plentiful redemption.
8 And he will redeem Israel
    from all his iniquities.

Texas is having another thing. Part of the Daily Disaster Report. Ice Cold Zilla.  Another unprecedented Historic Weather Thing.  And some western counties in Texas are having power outages due to ice on the electrical wires.

The most comforting thoughts are the Strength of God.

Because we weren't all cheering for more at home time. For sure.

2 Corinthians 1:15

And in this confidence I was minded to visit you first, that ye might have a double blessing

19 For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and as God’s ultimate “Yes,” He always does what He says. 20 For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for His glory.

2020 didn't see hostility all year long.
It wasn't until May was almost over, and then we saw  upheavals history tells us surround pandemic or plague. Before violence, we simply had hope for families to stay well. Quarantine was something we never considered would happen. Anger had not been pervasive. History tells us fear sets off great anger.

The Word of God overcomes hostility.

Hebrews 12
Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, (especially as we did quarantine) let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.

2 Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy (God says creation is Good and Jesus says Life is Joy.) Joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider Him who endured from sinners such hostility against Himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.

The BBC started telling us of all types of upset brains in about May 2020.

The History of Pandemic and Plagues is something the UK has carefully studied
well before the 1776 Declaration.

God does not want us to be weary or fainthearted.
Knowing full well the 12 Disciples were problematic. Going all the way back to the problematic sons of Jacob - all 12. Worrisome and quarrelsome. Fearful and questioning. God wants to save thee. And The Entire World. Father God sees Life as eternal and the flesh is sometimes willing, while the Spirit is fed by seeking God and His Word. Seek and find. Jesus identifies His Father as "The One Who is Good." Luke 18:19

Philippians 2:16
As you hold forth the Word of Life, in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

If you haven't lived in Texas or the cold weather states or the 32 states producing Petroleum, chances are likely you've had some depression.  I've seen Bishops proclaim the Body of Christ has fallen to illness and despair.  I've heard famous people proclaim all the comfort right now comes from dogs. And Valentine's Day wasn't all that much fun covering up water pipes and discussing what the Red Cross says about water pipes and freezes.

Frankly, I'm praying for the Gulf of Mexico to be stirred up and Mexico to send us a wave of warmth.

About the only normal people on the planet right now,  who are truly happy,  are those who have had both vaccinations and just recovered from a light dose of Covid.

The rest of the Children of God believe we are in for a few rough years. And with diligent prayer and hope, we will see better times again. When we feel bleak, we just have to remember what has happened this year we learned from and hold on to God for more faith.

Hebrews 4:16
Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

2 Corinthians 1:3
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.

The Scriptures have enormous discussions regarding fear and anger. God anticipates helping us work through disquiet. God our Father Jesus assures us. Good Father.

Proverbs 3
24 When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you rest, your sleep will be sweet. 25 Do not fear sudden danger or the ruin that overtakes the wicked,26 for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from the snare.

I find Proverbs 3 most comforting as: Do not be afraid of sudden fear. Easy to remember and grab hold.

2 Corinthians 7 A Letter to us from Jesus during this time:

14 Indeed, I was not embarrassed by anything I had boasted to him about you. But just as everything we said to you was true, so our boasting to Titus has proved to be true as well. 15 Also his affections are increased all the more for you as he remembers the obedience of you all, that you received him with awe and trembling. 16 I rejoice that I can have complete confidence in you.

Remember, Titus - as Shepherd - had a very long life on the Island of Crete, where the dispersion Jews traveled to meet Jesus and ask Him to visit them. Seek and find the treasures of His Living Word. Jesus in His Word displays His reward.

Jesus loves the animal analogies, like we do and Facebook does.

God sent Elijah horses from Heaven to carry him Home.
The Kri Kri of Crete know how to move all over the rocks. In tight spaces
and down the watering holes.

Psalm 91:4
He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings
 you will find refuge

Matthew 23:37
How often I have longed to gather your children together,
as a hen gathers her chicks!

Matthew 10:29
Not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care.

Abba, Father God,

I Believe in God and, sometimes, we all feel lost.

I Believe in Love, when sometimes all people feel afraid.

We Believe in the Light of Christ, when the world erupts in anger.

We Believe Light overcomes darkness, when life looks bleak.

We Believe in Good Health and Your Healing Word,
when people speak of a new normal.
And, blessedly, the new normal isn't discussed much now the vaccine has rolled out.
Remembering God healed Spanish Flu, Bird Flu and Swine Flu.
God has healed so much. And is Still Working.

I Believe Jesus Christ saves the world,
even on the days I pray fiercely for those I Love.
We believe this as Christians.
Easter Services might not fill up, but with God's Blessings
Christmas and Thanksgiving will be Spectacular.
Maybe even the 2021-22 School Year.

We Believe in answered prayer,
when we doubt, like the Disciples, and reach to look at what is good
and noble and pure. We remember Answered Prayer.

We give the Comfort of God Answering Prayer
and our Comforts and Help from God
when we are placed to help those in our lives.

I Believe Forest Fires Cease, having lived a Tri-County Fire,
as we prayed for Australia and the Northwest USA.

We Believe Jesus Christ.

We ask Jesus to dwell in us and those we Love always,
and helping us find God First

Jesus, Son of God - Bless, Heal, Sustain, Comfort, Guide
The United States
and those elected officials to help Liberty and Happiness prevail.
We Especially pray  for those in need of Jesus' Willing Word today.
 God Bless Them!

Safety and wisdom for
all of us to be like the Kri Kri Antelope
to climb all the highs and lows of life
and
Believe in the Light of Christ in the world
and the Light of Christ in mankind.

We pray for a blast of warm weather from
the Gulf of Mexico or Mexico.
Please speak a healing Warm Word, Jesus Christ.

Sustain people from electrical failure,
pets from being outside,
those who live alone,
the wildlife and migrating birds.
People in traffic.
All our faucets and outdoor water pipes
indoor pipes too.

Sustain us from losing hope
and giving in to the fears of the last year.
Help us to live Faith, Hope and Love.

Praying for Elliott, Harby and their family
for complete blessing of healing.
I believe Jesus is healing Elliott.
God Speaking His Word with Strength.

And we pray, Abba,
open His arms to all
of His Good Creation.

In Jesus Christ, His Highest Name, Amen.

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
