Isaiah 12 ~ His Name is exalted

Isaiah 12

You will say in that day:
“I will give thanks to you, O LORD,
for though you were angry with me,
your anger turned away,
that you might comfort me.

2 “Behold, God is my salvation;
I will trust, and will not be afraid;
for the LORD GOD is my strength and my song,
and he has become my salvation.”

3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.

And you will say in that day:

“Give thanks to the LORD,
call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples,
proclaim that his name is exalted!
5 “Sing praises to the LORD, for he has done gloriously;
let this be made known in all the earth.

6 Shout, and sing for joy,
O inhabitant of Zion,
for great in your midst
is the Holy One of Israel.”

Montgomery County, Texas has a reputation for kindness to Hispanic aliens. We have a bounty of Jesus Christ believing and The Word of God honoring Churches. The Police Department has a very good reputation and deals with teenagers - a lot. Our crime rates are on the low side. And we saw the indictment of Adrian Peterson, the Minnesota Vikings star running back, who was indicted on an injury to a child charge here in Montgomery County on Thursday. This is Texas and we tend to be more loud and Republican in this county than liberal.

The District Attorney feels the evidence before the Grand Jury is compelling and he said wait for the trial. Good advice. We pray for Adrian Peterson and his entire family to have merciful justice and heal very well in the Power of God.

James 1:19
This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.

God is Vast. He just doesn't have to worry if we throw a fit.

How do you deal with someone throwing a tantrum? Depends.

Jesus mentions something Very Wise in Luke 3:7 - flee from wrath. Get the heck out! Out of the way of wrath!

The Holy One writes about having a healthy approach to anger - Be Angry.

Ephesians 4:26
Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger.

I like the fact God says we are allowed to have emotions. Honesty in Scripture.

The State of Texas does not have a problem with spanking with an open hand. The parental discipline generally concerning CPS, or the Police, is the type leaving a mark and/or causes worry of future injury.

What does God, the Holy One, say about this? Let's list a few:

Proverbs 22:6
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.

Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Proverbs 22:15
Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline drives it far from him.

(Hey, I grew up with "Go pick a peach tree switch and make that snappy.")

Our Boundaries fall in here:

Proverbs 3:12
Because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.
AKA The Golden Rule

Deuteronomy 8:5
Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you.

Luke 12:48
The one who did not know,
and did what deserved a beating, will receive a light beating.
Everyone to whom much was given, of him much will be required,
and from him to whom they entrusted much, they will demand the more.

WORD. God created Jesus from His Word.

Jesus was known to ask Peter - in his sin  - three times for explanations. John 21. Jesus, also, is recorded as explaining his death three times.

My brother does this with his children to great effect. He repeats back to them in complete effort and sincerity their concerns before he explains a different way - what is required and expected. He is Really Good at this.

Paul VERY WELL understood about the third effort as well...

2 Corinthians 12:14
Here for the third time I am ready to come to you. And I will not be a burden, for I seek not what is yours but you. For children are not obligated to save up for their parents, but parents for their children.

Goliath Pottery discovered in his city Gath

We do not dish out what we would not want to receive! What would you want someone, twice your height, giving to you?

In practical terms, we need a Bumper Sticker.
David met the Giant Goliath and had to pull out three smooth stones. Today - We do make a bumper sticker about that - It's seen a lot. Explaining Goliath - "Be Nice to Your Children, They Will Choose Your Nursing Home."

Now you might ask - is that bumper sticker Scripture?

Yes. It's basic Scripture. Jesus said -

Matthew 5:7
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

We are big in Texas on childhood - "Time Out."
If you get quiet time to think, you have time to reorganize the child's emotion.

Rarely, then, a spanking, a memorable event - a time to consider - is more important. My daddy sent us to have thirty minutes in our rooms to consider the swats about to arrive. Egad. With the provision he always said - "When I calm down, you are getting x number of swats, go to your room." Daddy would explain that parental swats had to be accompanied by lack of anger or rage.

Swats ranged from three to ten - depending on the severity of the disobedience. Standing is the preferable position for swats.

That makes so much sense, there has to be honest Scripture to encourage that - AND - there is:

Job 35
13 Surely God does not hear an empty cry,
nor does the Almighty regard it.
14 How much less when you say that you do not see him,
that the case is before him, and you are waiting for him!
15 And now, because his anger does not punish,
and he does not take much note of transgression,

When my father calmed down - occasionally and rarely - Daddy would say -
With my Shouts of Joy - The Parental Words "I changed my mind, come talk to me about this."

And is this Scripture? Of Course. Mercy.

2 Samuel 24:14
Then David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Let us fall into the hand of the LORD, for his mercy is great; but let me not fall into the hand of man.”

Amen and amen. Let us look to God for the same mercy David knew in Father God. Blessing God for His Grace. Thank You God. Let us take the same time, Father God, in our considerations before our mouth opens and our actions are displayed. AMEN!

Esther 2 ~ suggested

Tomb of Xerxes - it is an interesting shape

Xerxes (Ahasuerus), the Persian King featured in the movie "300" & video games Assassin's Creed and Civilization II & III. In 484 BC,

Xerxes abolished the Kingdom of Babel and took away the golden statue of Bel. The above photo is Xerxes Cuneiform: "Ahuramazda is the great god, the greatest god who created the sky and created the land and created humans Who gave prosperity to the humans Who made Xerxes king King of many kings, being the only ruler of the totality of all lands. I am Xerxes, the great king"

I just like the Man. I think he might be the parallel of Yul Brynner in "The King and I".

Esther 2 ~ (New American Bible)

1
After this, when King Ahasuerus' wrath had cooled, he thought over what Vashti had done and what had been decreed against her.
2
Then the king's personal attendants suggested: "Let beautiful young virgins be sought for the king.
3
Let the king appoint commissaries in all the provinces of his realm to bring together all beautiful young virgins to the harem in the stronghold of Susa. Under the care of the royal eunuch Hegai, custodian of the women, let cosmetics be given them.
4
Then the girl who pleases the king shall reign in place of Vashti." This suggestion pleased the king, and he acted accordingly.

5
There was in the stronghold of Susa a certain Jew named Mordecai, son of Jair, son of Shimei, son of Kish, a Benjaminite,
6
who had been exiled from Jerusalem with the captives taken with Jeconiah, king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, had deported.
7
He was foster father to Hadassah, that is, Esther, his cousin; for she had lost both father and mother. The girl was beautifully formed and lovely to behold. On the death of her father and mother, Mordecai had taken her as his own daughter.
8
When the king's order and decree had been obeyed and many maidens brought together to the stronghold of Susa under the care of Hegai, Esther also was brought in to the royal palace under the care of Hegai, custodian of the women.
9
The girl pleased him and won his favor. So he promptly furnished her with cosmetics and provisions. Then picking out seven maids for her from the royal palace, he transferred both her and her maids to the best place in the harem.

10
Esther did not reveal her nationality or family, for Mordecai had commanded her not to do so.
11
Day by day Mordecai would walk about in front of the court of the harem, to learn how Esther was faring and what was to become of her.
12
Each girl went in turn to visit King Ahasuerus after the twelve months' preparation decreed for the women. Of this period of beautifying treatment, six months were spent with oil of myrrh, and the other six months with perfumes and cosmetics.
13
Then, when the girl was to visit the king, she was allowed to take with her from the harem to the royal palace whatever she chose.
14
She would go in the evening and return in the morning to a second harem under the care of the royal eunuch Shaashgaz, custodian of the concubines. She could not return to the king unless he was pleased with her and had her summoned by name.
15
As for Esther, daughter of Abihail and adopted daughter of his nephew Mordecai, when her turn came to visit the king, she did not ask for anything but what the royal eunuch Hegai, custodian of the women, suggested. Yet she won the admiration of all who saw her.

16
Esther was led to King Ahasuerus in his palace in the tenth month, Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
17
The king loved Esther more than all other women, and of all the virgins she won his favor and benevolence. So he placed the royal diadem on her head and made her queen in place of Vashti.
18
Then the king gave a great feast in honor of Esther to all his officials and ministers, granting a holiday to the provinces and bestowing gifts with royal bounty.
19
[To resume: From the time the virgins had been brought together, and while Mordecai was passing his time at the king's gate,

20
Esther had not revealed her family or nationality, because Mordecai had told her not to; and Esther continued to follow Mordecai's instructions, just as she had when she was being brought up by him.
21
And during the time that Mordecai spent at the king's gate, Bagathan and Thares, two of the royal eunuchs who guarded the entrance, had plotted in anger to lay hands on King Ahasuerus.
22
When the plot became known to Mordecai, he told Queen Esther, who in turn informed the king for Mordecai.
23
The matter was investigated and verified, and both of them were hanged on a gibbet. This was written in the annals for the king's use.]

This is the king portrayed in modern movies, like "300", and video war games as ruthless and wholly corrupt. The Scriptures show a lot of suggestions are made to the king all the time, but the chapter begins with Xerxes re-thinking his actions.

 This is a man favored with God's help, a plot against him is averted by his choice of new queen & the queen's family. One of the major Scriptural themes in this book, God does not desert the people faithful to Him, and all of His works forward His Plan.

Father God, bless us each day that our words and our work may further Your plans. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Mark 10:17-27 ~ Journey

Mark 10:17-27

17 As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 18 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. 19 You know the commandments, ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’” 20 And he said to Him, “Teacher, I have kept all these things from my youth up.” 21 Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 22 But at these words he was saddened, and he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property.

Don't you just hate it when there is no possible way to attain what Jesus said. And that Jesus. Always on a journey. Where is He when you need Him?

Jesus really did journey a lot. Three times they rowed and sailed across Galilee. In a day. Sixteen miles times three. Sheesh that Jesus. What a traveler. Om. Jesus really had someone to see. And you'd think, being God and all, that HE would say "Stan - well, I AM will see you on the east side at nine. Fred - east side ten o'clock. Sharp. And Hugo - you are on the west side so - well, babe, if I have to come to you, well, then, I have to. "

Jesus. What a traveler. First He's speaking to people, then praying, then "on the water." Then IN the water.

Jesus. If you can't ASPIRE TO HIS STANDARDS - He might just sit with you.

Or if you need healing, He might just draw you out of the large crowd and speak with you privately.

In Grief? He might go to your house and into the bed chamber.

Jesus traveled. A lot. And does today. The Word of God IS Living and Active.

That young fellow with good deeds? Jesus just journeyed on.

Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

Jeremiah 17:10
“I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”

23 And Jesus, looking around, *said to His disciples, “How hard it will be for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God!” 24 The disciples were amazed at His words. But Jesus *answered again and *said to them, “Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 26 They were even more astonished and said to Him, “[b]Then who can be saved?” 27 Looking at them, Jesus *said, “With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.”

The Word is Living and Active. God says the Word of God has attributes
Gospel of peace
Stand firm
Belt of truth
Breastplate of righteousness
Shield of faith

The Word of God, as we read - we should be praying at all times in the Spirit, with supplication.

To that end keep alert with all perseverance Read Your Bible For Other People, making supplication for all the saints.

Seek and You Shall Find.

God is still Working and Jesus with Him.

Days will come when you can not attain to the forgiveness that takes a 12 foot vertical jump. Yet the Word of God is prophetic. Then you greet Jesus like Mary and Martha did. Doing your earnest best.

And Like Jesus you keep journeying in the Word. Because Jesus will go where you are. You just have to attain the point where you have looked in earnest sincerity of complete endeavor. In plain speak, keep reading God's Word - you will find the comfort you need.

As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and knelt before Him, and asked Him

Proverbs 22 ~ A good name is to be chosen

Proverbs 22

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
and favor is better than silver or gold.

2 The rich and the poor meet together;
the Lord is the maker of them all.

3 The prudent sees danger and hides himself,
but the simple go on and suffer for it.
4 The reward for humility and fear of the Lord
is riches and honor and life.

5 Thorns and snares are in the way of the crooked;
whoever guards his soul will keep far from them.

6 Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.

7 The rich rules over the poor,
and the borrower is the slave of the lender.
8 Whoever sows injustice will reap calamity,
and the rod of his fury will fail.

9 Whoever has a bountiful eye will be blessed,
for he shares his bread with the poor.

10 Drive out a scoffer, and strife will go out,
and quarreling and abuse will cease.

11 He who loves purity of heart,
and whose speech is gracious, will have the king as his friend.

12 The eyes of the Lord keep watch over knowledge,
but he overthrows the words of the traitor.

13 The sluggard says, “There is a lion outside!
I shall be killed in the streets!”
14 The mouth of forbidden women is a deep pit;
he with whom the Lord is angry will fall into it.

15 Folly is bound up in the heart of a child,
but the rod of discipline drives it far from him.
16 Whoever oppresses the poor to increase his own wealth,
or gives to the rich, will only come to poverty.

17 Incline your ear, and hear the words of the wise,
and apply your heart to my knowledge,
18 for it will be pleasant if you keep them within you,
if all of them are ready on your lips.

19 That your trust may be in the Lord,
I have made them known to you today, even to you.
20 Have I not written for you thirty sayings
of counsel and knowledge,
21 to make you know what is right and true,
that you may give a true answer to those who sent you?

22 Do not rob the poor, because he is poor,
or crush the afflicted at the gate,
23 for the Lord will plead their cause
and rob of life those who rob them.

24 Make no friendship with a man given to anger,
nor go with a wrathful man,
25 lest you learn his ways
and entangle yourself in a snare.

26 Be not one of those who give pledges,
who put up security for debts.
27 If you have nothing with which to pay,
why should your bed be taken from under you?

28 Do not move the ancient landmark
that your fathers have set.

29 Do you see a man skillful in his work?
He will stand before kings;
he will not stand before obscure men.

Mark 10:18
Jesus said to him, "Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone?"

A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches,
and favor is better than silver or gold. And Verses 2,7,8, 10,11,14,16,17,18,21,22,23,24 28,29

John the Baptist and Herod.

Jesus lived these Proverbs.

We all make mistakes. John the Baptist sent his disciples to question Jesus in public.

I was asked once why God didn't let Moses complete the Exodus. Seems sort of harsh. Moses embarrassed God in public by displaying wrath over being God's representative. YET... the important part is this: If Moses had completed the Exodus - this would be Moses' Exodus. And instead we remember God completed the Exodus.

No one listed in the Bible can point to their own righteousness and say we don't need a Savior.

Romans 12:12
Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.

If we walked in the path of Abraham we would marry twice, have an unwilling concubine, many heirs and only have one favorite child.

And if we were Sampson, we would disregard this Proverb.

The people of faith in the Bible have a trait in common, they continue on in Him, expecting His mercy and promises - with the blessings and benefits of the Lord - until God calls them Home.

Mistakes are made, and with His grace and blessing - we don't remain outside of His Favor.

Colossians 1:11-12
Being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.

Ephesians 6:10
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

Father, strengthen us to not become weary of doing good. We want Your willing Help to receive the crown of life You have promised to those who love You. We will trust in You with all our heart to make our path straight. With Your help, we will continue to pray for those we love in expectation of Your Glory. In Your Words, we will remain. Standing in Your Gospel, standing firm in Christ. We long for, pray, rejoice in Your anointing. We will be diligent in Jesus Christ, in Your name, our hope is sure. Amen.

Genesis 1:27 ~ male and female he created them

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God he created him;
male and female he created them.

Genesis 2 gives Adam a longer time being alone and then woman is made from Adam’s rib. Both Genesis chapters let us know, the blueprint image of man – God’s image – has male and female aspects. Adam’s rib was removed to create woman, Adam was split (forgive the pun) to be the Adam we consider mankind today.

Ephesians 5:25-33
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.

 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body. "

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Proverbs 1 honors women as the female aspect of God being wisdom. The Lord honors women in Proverbs 1. He doesn't dwell on father, verses 8 and 9 says honor both parents. This is parental advice from God the parent. Abba encourages Love, because He is Love.

Proverbs 1

1 The proverbs of Solomon son of David, king of Israel:
2 for gaining wisdom and instruction;
for understanding words of insight;

3 for receiving instruction in prudent behavior,
doing what is right and just and fair;

4 for giving prudence to those who are simple,
knowledge and discretion to the young—

5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,
and let the discerning get guidance—

6 for understanding proverbs and parables,
the sayings and riddles of the wise.

7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

8 Listen, my son, to your father's instruction
and do not forsake your mother's teaching.
9 They are a garland to grace your head
and a chain to adorn your neck.

10 My son, if sinful men entice you,
do not give in to them.

11 If they say, "Come along with us;
let's lie in wait for innocent blood,
let's ambush some harmless soul;

12 let's swallow them alive, like the grave,
and whole, like those who go down to the pit;

13 we will get all sorts of valuable things
and fill our houses with plunder;

14 cast lots with us;
we will all share the loot"—

15 my son, do not go along with them,
do not set foot on their paths;

16 for their feet rush into evil,
they are swift to shed blood.

17 How useless to spread a net
where every bird can see it!

18 These men lie in wait for their own blood;
they ambush only themselves!

19 Such are the paths of all who go after ill-gotten gain;
it takes away the life of those who get it.

20 Out in the open wisdom calls aloud,
she raises her voice in the public square;
21 on top of the wall she cries out,
at the city gate she makes her speech:

22 "How long will you who are simple love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
and fools hate knowledge?

23 Repent at my rebuke!
Then I will pour out my thoughts to you,
I will make known to you my teachings.

24 But since you refuse to listen when I call
and no one pays attention when I stretch out my hand,

25 since you disregard all my advice
and do not accept my rebuke,

26 I in turn will laugh when disaster strikes you;
I will mock when calamity overtakes you—

27 when calamity overtakes you like a storm,
when disaster sweeps over you like a whirlwind,
when distress and trouble overwhelm you.

28 "Then they will call to me but I will not answer;
they will look for me but will not find me,

29 since they hated knowledge
and did not choose to fear the LORD.

30 Since they would not accept my advice
and spurned my rebuke,

31 they will eat the fruit of their ways
and be filled with the fruit of their schemes.

32 For the waywardness of the simple will kill them,
and the complacency of fools will destroy them;

33 but whoever listens to me will live in safety
and be at ease, without fear of harm."

Psalm 133 ~ when God’s people live together in unity

Psalm 133

A song of ascents. Of David.

1 How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!

2 It is like precious oil poured on the head,
running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron’s beard,
down on the collar of his robe.
3 It is as if the dew of Hermon
were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the Lord bestows his blessing,
even life forevermore.

John loved to try to be poetic, to tone down the HUGE, Vast, Realities of God.

We've spoken before of John proclaiming -

4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

The Catholic Church takes great care over visions and mystics. The reason we see the Christ child bring forth light in the Nativity scenes - visionaries say Jesus brought forth the light of the Star being born.

We have discussed this before, it's not new, but we are SO USED TO Scripture we tend to take the narrow path and drive like we are on the Super Highway.

We live so much in unity with the Scriptures we fail to see the miraculous.

Look at one of the most amazing times in the world and the unity of mankind.

Luke 2
8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.

That is some amazing unity.

22 When the time came for the purification rites required by the Law of Moses, Joseph and Mary took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord

The events continue -
33 The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him.

This was an amazing time in their lives.

Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35 so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”

Hearts continue to be revealed in this Scripture passage we know so very well.

36 There was also a prophet, Anna, the daughter of Penuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was very old; she had lived with her husband seven years after her marriage, 37 and then was a widow until she was eighty-four. She never left the temple but worshiped night and day, fasting and praying. 38 Coming up to them at that very moment, she gave thanks to God and spoke about the child to all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem.

Did you catch this? Did you - See What I See?

A star, a star, dancing in the night

A song, a song high above the trees
With a voice as big as the the sea,
With a voice as big as the the sea

Listen to what I say!
Pray for peace, people, everywhere,
Listen to what I say!
The Child, the Child sleeping in the night
He will bring us goodness and light,
He will bring us goodness and light

The Scriptures will bring joy to your very soul.
The Hope of GOD soaring to our corners and variations.
And then and then and then...

2 Corinthians 5:7
For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Romans 8:24
For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what they already have?

2 Corinthians 4:18
So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

What good Anna is proclaiming is of God.
People will raise their hand, change their lives and sign on for Jesus.
Simon the Zealot. Jesus makes conversation with His Disciples after HE has given the Redemption of Jerusalem.

Acts 1
6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, “Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?

Jesus replies -

7 He said to them: “It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you

We have the Holy Spirit. When we seek good, we are pleasing God.

We know when Jesus gives Redemption.

Luke 23:34
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."

In the Exodus, the apparent failure, was really an ongoing work even to the Kingship of David, taking back... Jerusalem.

And... Jerusalem is a word for... Peace.

God never did ask us to walk around like Jesus bringing Light into the World. We have to know, again, life is arranged to give us trials to overcome. To grow up - to ascend to His Kingdom and go Home. We have to see even the Scriptures of God's perfection require reaching out with Faith.

Peace is a quality unseen. We have to believe God is Good and His plans give us a hope and a future.

Anna spoke the Truth. We have to attain the inner workings of knowing relationship with God, who loves us best. And we shall live as the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Jesus says this is so.

We are all who were looking forward to the redemption of Jerusalem. Father God, we ask you to bless the work of our hands, and bring us 'Give Us This Day' again knowing You are the Light our Life comes from. And we pray for Your Love to shine on the ones we love. We pray for the peace of those around us in this Nation and for the Peace of Your Jerusalem. In the name of Jesus Christ the Lord, we know Your Word will be fulfilled. AMEN and AMEN let it be well with my soul!

About scripture-for-today.blogspot.com/

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He has saved all who call upon His name and rely on Him for His Grace. The Scriptures are living & active and are for understanding the Lord Almighty. Biblical readings are chosen from the Ecumenical Christian Church and the Nicene Council, 325 A.D., approved Apocrypha. People remember not just from reading, but by sight and orally- an image has been added as well as audio readings. God tends to link the passages together with fascinates - this blogger, Anne-Laurel Gardere

A simple blog, scripture-for-today.blogspot

This blog is pretty simple, but for a reason. This blog isn't about agenda or me, it is for the joy and love to found by reading the Scriptures. Ultimately, it is you and the Lord.

The Scriptures are Father God's letter to you. He wanted you to know more, to know He loves you.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
