John 16 ~ I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world

John 16

“I have said all these things to you to keep you from falling away. 2 They will put you out of the synagogues. Indeed, the hour is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God. 3 And they will do these things because they have not known the Father, nor me. 4 But I have said these things to you, that when their hour comes you may remember that I told them to you.

“I did not say these things to you from the beginning, because I was with you. 5 But now I am going to him who sent me, and none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?’ 6 But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart.

7 Nevertheless, I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. 8 And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment: 9 concerning sin, because they do not believe in me; 10 concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you will see me no longer; 11 concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

12 “I still have many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.

13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. 14 He will glorify me, for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. 15 All that the Father has is mine; therefore I said that he will take what is mine and declare it to you.

16 “A little while, and you will see me no longer; and again a little while, and you will see me.”

17 So some of his disciples said to one another, “What is this that he says to us, ‘A little while, and you will not see me, and again a little while, and you will see me’; and, ‘because I am going to the Father’?”

18 So they were saying, “What does he mean by ‘a little while’? We do not know what he is talking about.”

19 Jesus knew that they wanted to ask him, so he said to them, “Is this what you are asking yourselves, what I meant by saying, ‘A little while and you will not see me, and again a little while and you will see me’? 20 Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy. 21 When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. 22 So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you. 23 In that day you will ask nothing of me.

Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

25 “I have said these things to you in figures of speech. The hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figures of speech but will tell you plainly about the Father.

26 In that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you that I will ask the Father on your behalf; 27 for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God. 28 I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.”

29 His disciples said, “Ah, now you are speaking plainly and not using figurative speech!

30 Now we know that you know all things and do not need anyone to question you; this is why we believe that you came from God.”

31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now believe? 32 Behold, the hour is coming, indeed it has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, for the Father is with me.

33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

The hopeful mood changes.

Now the Disciples are recorded as being talkative during the Last Supper or The New Covenant. And we know they have chatted during most of their time and asked each other for a grounding or earthly opinion. This group truly did act like siblings with a Parent.

These men have now been just about a declaration of War on the Roman Empire. Thomas recently has said in truth, we will die with Jesus. This has been a long dinner for them. And Jesus up until the beginning of John 16 has said some very beautiful things.

Now He is promising worse times are ahead for them. Josephus would agree. Josephus lists about 1.5 or 2 million are the numbers for multitudes in Jerusalem. Acts starts out with multitudes in the Temple - Just for Jesus. Josephus is going to go on to say by Passover 65 A.D. Passover is above 3 million. It looks like A.D. 65, The Temple is just going to chug on forever having killed God's Son.

To add cream to being thrown out of the Temple, Jesus is saying He is going away. Now if you'd spent your 3 years with the Rising Son of God - you would be Very Upset.

To top this off - now Jesus is going to talk about Judgment.

Where is Jesus GOING NOW? They have told HIM - Jesus has the Words of Life. Thomas has said he will die with Jesus and Jesus is Going???

The men are clearly puzzled why sometimes Jesus is so clear and next, they just cannot fathom this dire talk. Yet, they know not only are the secondary Temple Officials really angry with Jesus' power and the interest given to His opinions and miracles. Now, Pilate who has slaughtered Jews for attending Passover - is going to hear about the crowd with the Palms declaring Jesus as Victor.

Sorrow is now with this room to a large extent. They want Jesus to know He is clearly God and they believe. More than likely they are trying to get Jesus to stay or to take them with Him.

Jesus tells this declaring loyal group - He is going to be alone and they will too.

Next He says to this group of tired, afraid, loyal men that He has overcome the world in all of their scattered isolation.

You know if you had followed with Seeing ALL the Miracles of Jesus and Loved JESUS, this would put you feeling like disaster was coming to this good, amazing, miraculous Prophet, the Son of God and this seems to say expect horror, isolation and desertion with Jesus saying He has overcome the world.

These men knew long days going across the Sea of Galilee. They walked 16 miles to a wedding and 16 miles back to Capernaum. These Disciples had followed Jesus immediately when the Temple officials were already gunning for Jesus. Luke 4 and 5.

You would want to sleep next. This is so much trouble.

Jesus, being God, was not catering to their need for comfort or exact answers. Jesus was giving them prophecy that in turbulent times, no other puzzle would fit the slot. That they would see they played exactly into the prophecy and that Jesus would show Himself again to be God.

Although the Dinner was closing with complete worry, Jesus was truly seeing way past and nurturing them all.

Father God,

When the Wild Winds of Life Howl, help me to believe You will work Your Plan for a Hope and a Future. Knowing that we all live the Prodigal Son Story.

Jesus had just told His Disciples, He was going away with God in Jesus. And still, Jesus as God was nourishing His Beloved and Strengthening them to do Life - bringing them Home to Father God. Who as God, the Father, would be looking for the Prodigal Son and the elder son - going to be with His Beloved.

And as Jesus said, and Father God to the eldest sons in this room - I am with You Always.

Father help me always to do Your Will and Your Ways. To Delight in You. To see the Good, to hope for More Good and see as David always did - Your willingness to be Steadfast Love. We are the Easter People and Jesus is our Song.

Let this be so for the ones we love, and the People You have given us.

We thank You for Your Goodness to us and will look each day to find Your Goodness You have provided.
Amen in Jesus.

John 15 ~ Already you are clean because of the Word He has spoken to you.

Jesus' face recreated from the Shroud, which is able to be cast, unusually, as 3 dimensions.

John 15

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

3 Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.

4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned.

7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples. 9 As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love.

10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.

11 These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.

12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.

13 Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you.

15 No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

17 These things I command you, so that you will love one another.

18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.

21 But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin,but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Whoever hates me hates my Father also.

24 If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.’

26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will bear witness about me.

27 And you also will bear witness, because you have been with me from the beginning.

This is one of the most clear Chapter's of John's Witness and Gospel.

For very good reason. Jesus wants these, His final messages to His Chosen Beloved to be crystal clear and point to His most important points.

Reading this Chapter, as believers, we really should not be unclear on any of what the Savior of the World has to say.

Father God,

Your Son Jesus is God.  Because of Your Word, we are clean. Jesus is the Son of God, Your Word made manifest.

We want to abide in Jesus and be fruitful - Loving You with all our heart, soul and mind. Loving one another as a witnesses of Your Love for us.

We ask like Elisha, for more of Your Spirit to have more of Your Glory and encourage mankind about Your Love.

Help us to do Your commmandments and be filled with Your Joy.

The people who love You and rejoice in being Your Beloved, thank You for choosing us.

We thank You daily for Your Helper. And seek Your blessings and to please You.

Amen in Jesus!

John 14 ~ Jesus said to him

John 14

“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. 4 And you know the way to where I am going.”

5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?”

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.”

8 Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.”

9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.

12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. 13 Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.

15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, 17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.

18 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. 21 Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.” 22 Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” 23 Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.

25 “These things I have spoken to you while I am still with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. 28 You heard me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I will come to you.’ If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you may believe. 30 I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me, 31 but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us go from here.

This is John 14, 15, 16 and 17.
The New Covenant.

Jesus has a knack for getting to the point and being merciful. He does not generally make conversation for pages. Jesus is more action than Word. Which is interesting, free standing thought, as Jesus is the Word of God made manifest.

Picture with me, how did John remember the talk of the New Covenant when Jesus is going to step outside and be taken down terribly.

John is going to witness with his own eyes Jesus ascending. He will exactly know the Risen Christ being clear on His destination. John is going be with Mary, his newly given Mother, and Jesus' Brothers and the Disciples Acts 1:14, to help recall exactly what Jesus has said. They are piecing together everything Jesus has said. You can understand completely their desire to comprehend the magnitude of what has happened.

This Gospel of John's is sorted out as they take over the actual Temple and this is not an isolated incident, Acts 2 says they are in the Temple daily and eating together. Daily figuring this out as eye witnesses. Learning to be a tight community as thousands believe.

What has John put together for us to understand in John 14?

1. Jesus Knows Anxiety - Jesus counsels us to be less afraid. And Jesus is counseling huge times in life are not for display, but for the people who matter most. A good thing to remember when Life has surprising moments. Thus, when you give to the needy, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by others.

2. The Destination is all of us being on a Prodigal Son Journey to Home. Jesus gives His Word Home is being prepared for us.

3.Thomas demonstrates an important aspect of our relationship to Father God.
God is open to questions and dialogue. Making us cognizant to remember, answers are given to prayer. Sometimes the answer is: no, wait, grow, steadfastly hope with prayer, fast and yes. An important point to see Thomas interrupts Jesus in mid-stride of "The New Covenant." Pretty impressive God is about saving the world and letting just a typical Thomas interrupt. Exactly like Thomas is that Prodigal Son and God is running to him.

4. Do you think Thomas ever said, "Can you imagine I interrupted the New Covenant?"

5. Philip jumps in on the act and says to the Light of the World, for 3 years of walking in awe and amazement, "Show us the Father!" [[Philip is probably whining he did not get to go to the Transfiguration. Peter seemed to be rather chatty about his promise to Jesus about this, later. 'Give us the show, Jesus! They have more faith!']]

This continues to show us - today - Father God and His Love. Thomas has interrupted and now Philip. Disciples are like herding cats. Jesus never says, "I AM Speaking." God is a VERY Kindly Parent.

6. Jesus says, "Believe me. Truly, Truly do what I say because these wonderful miracles are yours if you heed and believe." This is very overlooked, I had a marvelous discussion about two people being saved from cancer from believing prayers from cancers the doctors said were not a possible cure from. And the discussion went on to say, these answers that are real, solid and pure miracle also enclose a Good Father who sometimes says, no.

7. If we loose someone we love to passing on. We know loss. We find out how heavy grief can be,
Jesus, being God, cuts to the main point so we have something we can hold on to. Solid Word of God. He will not leave us orphans.

8. In the middle of the New Covenant, which would be almost impossible for us to enjoy and be patient with His Disciples, Jesus is enjoying His final time with them. Jesus is trusting God to be God.

Jesus knows these men. They want to know more. They are always questioning. Jesus tells them they will have the Holy Spirit. Jesus has patience and joy in this all important Prophecy. Jesus tells them about the Holy Spirit, He tells them Rise, let us go from here. This is not just His Ascension, this is the second coming of Christ proceeding. In a very few words, Jesus is concisely explaining some very key doctrine. Knowing Jesus - with Joy.

John 15, Jesus is continuing the New Covenant important and relevant directions to continue Life.
Again, look at this with me, He uses this time to tell them reassuringly not to be afraid, tells them the Holy Spirit IS going to be a solid arrival and tells them about Ascension. John 15 is still the New Covenant Discussion. Jesus is also telling them to look with eyes of faith for a Higher Purpose in life above what will be the largest, most fearful time of all of their lives.

Father God,

You witness the iniquity of mankind and the generations of sins.

All the days of our fathers are known to You.

This was a time of great favor towards Your Creation. God brightened the eyes of His People to see Grace upon Grace.

Your Steadfast Love. To set up Eternally the House of Jesus, repair ruins, and give us His Protection always.

Help us with the Power of Your Holy Spirit to maintain Your commandments. Empower us to worship with all our hearts, souls and as in Spirit and in Truth for, You, Father God. Take great care of the ones we love, our sons and daughters and the people yet unborn. To favor those we pray for and our concerns, we lift up to You.

To Rejoice in God's Word. He tells us about Himself! To Know the Joy of Jesus. The Willingness of Jesus and to expect to have Life seeking, finding, living gratitude in Your Goodness.

We ask, partnering with Jesus our Savior, for Your gracious favor to us all. Seek their strength, peace and prosperity. To eat the good fruit of our labors. To share. Covering us in the Name of Jesus, to be the people who in faith have sins forgiven. We want to have noble plans, be noble people and Stand in Your Favor.

In the Highest Name. Jesus Christ. Amen.

John 13 ~ Jesus knew that his hour had come

John 13

Now before the Feast of the Passover,
when Jesus knew that his hour had come to depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.

2 During supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him, 3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going back to God, 4 rose from supper.

He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. 5 Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

6 He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, do you wash my feet?”

7 Jesus answered him, “What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.”

8 Peter said to him, “You shall never wash my feet.”

Jesus answered him, “If I do not wash you, you have no share with me.”

9 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, not my feet only but also my hands and my head!”

10 Jesus said to him, “The one who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but is completely clean. And you are clean, but not every one of you.”

11 For he knew who was to betray him; that was why he said, “Not all of you are clean.”

12 When he had washed their feet and put on his outer garments and resumed his place, he said to them, “Do you understand what I have done to you? 13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right, for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet.

15 For I have given you an example, that you also should do just as I have done to you.

16 Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

18 I am not speaking of all of you; I know whom I have chosen. But the Scripture will be fulfilled, ‘He who ate my bread has lifted his heel against me.’ 19 I am telling you this now, before it takes place, that when it does take place you may believe that I am he.

20 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.”

21 After saying these things, Jesus was troubled in his spirit, and testified, “Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.”

22 The disciples looked at one another, uncertain of whom he spoke. 23 One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was reclining at table at Jesus' side, 24 so Simon Peter motioned to him to ask Jesus of whom he was speaking.

25 So that disciple, leaning back against Jesus, said to him, “Lord, who is it?”

26 Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I will give this morsel of bread when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. 27 Then after he had taken the morsel, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly.” 28 Now no one at the table knew why he said this to him. 29 Some thought that, because Judas had the moneybag, Jesus was telling him, “Buy what we need for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor. 30 So, after receiving the morsel of bread, he immediately went out. And it was night.

31 When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him. 32 If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and glorify him at once. 33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me, and just as I said to the Jews, so now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going you cannot come.’

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

36 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?”

Jesus answered him, “Where I am going you cannot follow me now, but you will follow afterward.”

37 Peter said to him, “Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”

38 Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, the rooster will not crow till you have denied me three times.

John has explained to us, how very difficult it was to sort out all the events, miracles, circumstances of God intersecting mankind.

This night of Jesus life is so fraught with History, God's Plan, mankind wondering and flawed to sinful - that if you had to compose one noise to make this night understood it would be - the nail going into Jesus into the cross itself. This was a dire, emergency night meeting the Grace of God Almighty, Father of Jesus Christ. This is the overcoming of Sin. The Grace of God's Goodness overcoming forever.

This is the Symphony of Handel's Messiah and the cacophony of mankind grasping God Himself. The Disciples are going to sit to explain this to themselves, with Jesus' Brothers and Mary for quite some time.

Love far beyond what can be imagined is - God.

Betrayal of a friend - unbelievable. How.

Denial - A great man understands the Word of Life has arrived - he will not comprehend the leaving of Jesus.

The New Covenant has arrived. On this night, The Plan of God unfolds. Blessed are the eyes to see this. More blessed those who will never see, and yet believe. Unblessed to not see the events, more blessed with the miracle of time and circumstance to have the sheer God blessing of time to comprehend the Magnitude.

God interweaving all things to good, for those who love Jesus.

Recently I was blessed to attend a funeral of a man who was humble. The funeral explained this man, who once told me this story when I was 17 and I was just about unable to come up with a coherent reply - the story was so large. He explained how a quiet life from a little town had 7 absolute miracle of God out of the blue and his life completely and utterly Changed each time.

A gift of a great college out of the blue. An unknown giver.
A gift of supreme forgiveness by a stranger.
A gift of a spouse - to always comfort and love.
A gift of a job - being saved from war. Out of the blue.
A gift of direction for another job - that was blessed.
A gift of blessing others - taken up quietly.
A gift of a child healed - prayed for like a blanket from Heaven. Arrived.
And another job given to bless others where Heaven Opened and Blessings Poured Forth.

The reaction to these blessings - this man spent 6 years doing all he could to read God's Word and see the Holy Spirit. He spoke with awe that he had done nothing to earn God's favor and this is the most Precious Blessing of All. He blessed others with his awe. And he blessed his children.

This humble man had a verse of the entire Scripture that blessed his life and led him.

Isaiah 32:8
A noble man, makes noble plans.
By noble plans, this man will stand.

And for the sheer goodness of this man and his family, I began to read Isaiah.

Isaiah was Blessed of God. To see Heaven and all of Heaven's Glory. Father God enthroned. Isaiah has picked up his own cross. Two Kings failed to heed any advice of God Isaiah had to give. And Isaiah continued to believe God would find Isaiah His Own Servant. Isaiah only had the idea that God loved him. This idea - is God's Plan and the work of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. This is the faith that makes one righteous in Jesus Christ and saves - God's size - The World.

To read Isaiah you must have fortitude. Courage. Bravery.
To pay earnest attention to all God has to say.

This is why Father God built the Seraphim with a face to see all corners of all matters the Spirit of God searches.

And when Love searches, fear is put down. When we first encounter God - fear happens. No one we know can do all this. Peter cried out, "I am a sinful man, depart." And later Peter would cry out again, "You have the Words of Life - where would we go?"

Peter cries this out again the night of the New Covenant. Makes you want to grab on to Peter and comfort his soul. Peter understands this loss, unbelievable,  in his denial. Poor Peter. Jesus is Wise.

Paul would be blessed to be like us, not there, and come to see and would explain in his great Love of Jesus, Timothy and the people he would proclaim Jesus the Christ, Risen and Victorious - Jesus Loves.

This is how we begin to understand Isaiah!
How we understand The New Covenant and the unfathomable and willing Grace of Jesus and His Incredible Love for us.

How Isaiah Works. This is the work of faith - to believe.  This is how the Disciples, the Brothers of Jesus and Mary went from afraid to His Beloved - Christians.

1 Timothy 3:9
They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience.

1 Timothy 1:5
The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.

1 Timothy 3:16
Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great: He appeared in the flesh, was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels, was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world, was taken up in glory.

Almighty Father, God of Love, Father of all things,

Bless Your Holy Name.

Great is the LORD. Greatly to be Praised. You made the Heavens with Splendor and Majesty.

Strength and beauty are in You. Your Word of Life.

Your Temple is more Beautiful of all places. To the Glory of Your Name, Jesus.

John 12 ~ Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.

John 12

1 Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. 2 Here a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor. Martha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him. 3 Then Mary took about a pint of pure nard, an expensive perfume; she poured it on Jesus’ feet and wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume.

4 But one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was later to betray him, objected, 5 “Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.” 6 He did not say this because he cared about the poor but because he was a thief; as keeper of the money bag, he used to help himself to what was put into it.

7 “Leave her alone,” Jesus replied. “It was intended that she should save this perfume for the day of my burial. 8 You will always have the poor among you, but you will not always have me.”

9 Meanwhile a large crowd of Jews found out that Jesus was there and came, not only because of him but also to see Lazarus, whom he had raised from the dead. 10 So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, 11 for on account of him many of the Jews were going over to Jesus and believing in him.

12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. 13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,

“Hosanna!”

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”

“Blessed is the king of Israel!”

14 Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written:

15
“Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion;
see, your king is coming,
seated on a donkey’s colt.”

16 At first his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him and that these things had been done to him.

17 Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. 18 Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign, went out to meet him.

19 So the Pharisees said to one another, “See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!”

20 Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the festival. 21 They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. “Sir,” they said, “we would like to see Jesus.”

22 Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.

23 Jesus replied, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. 24 Very truly I tell you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. 25 Anyone who loves their life will lose it, while anyone who hates their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. 26 Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me.

27 “Now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save me from this hour’? No, it was for this very reason I came to this hour. 28 Father, glorify your name!”

Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.”

29 The crowd that was there and heard it said it had thundered; others said an angel had spoken to him.

30 Jesus said, “This voice was for your benefit, not mine. 31 Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out. 32 And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.” 33 He said this to show the kind of death he was going to die.

34 The crowd spoke up, “We have heard from the Law that the Messiah will remain forever, so how can you say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this ‘Son of Man’?”

35 Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going. 36 Believe in the light while you have the light, so that you may become children of light.”

When he had finished speaking, Jesus left and hid himself from them.

37 Even after Jesus had performed so many signs in their presence, they still would not believe in him. 38 This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet:

“Lord, who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”

39 For this reason they could not believe, because, as Isaiah says elsewhere:

40
“He has blinded their eyes
and hardened their hearts,
so they can neither see with their eyes,
nor understand with their hearts,
nor turn—and I would heal them.”

41 Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him.

Nicodemus, Joseph of Arimathea, Joanna, wife of Chuza, who managed the household of Herod Antipas, Jarius, Cornelius, Pontius Pilate's wife, Jesus cures the son of a royal official, the guard at the crucifixion and at the tomb. Herod wanted to meet Jesus Luke 23:8. Officials from the Isle of Crete, called the Jewish Dispersion wanted Jesus to visit there.

Acts 5:
12 Now many signs and wonders were regularly done among the people by the hands of the apostles. And they were all together in Solomon’s Portico (Temple 36 acres). 13 None of the rest dared join them, but the people held them in high esteem. 14 And more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they even carried out the sick into the streets and laid them on cots and mats, that as Peter came by at least his shadow might fall on some of them. 16 The people also gathered from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing the sick and those afflicted with unclean spirits, and they were all healed.

42 Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him.

But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved human praise more than praise from God.

44 Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me. 45 The one who looks at me is seeing the one who sent me. 46 I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.

47 “If anyone hears my words but does not keep them, I do not judge that person. For I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. 48 There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; the very words I have spoken will condemn them at the last day. 49 For I did not speak on my own, but the Father who sent me commanded me to say all that I have spoken. 50 I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say.”

In Judaism, the Date Palm (Lulav) is one of the Four Species used in the daily prayers on the feast of Sukkot. Prayers.

During the Roman Empire, the Date Palm represented Judaea and its fecundity to both Romans and Jews. The Palm appears also on at least one Hasmonean coin and on coinage issued in 38–39 AD by Herod Antipas.

In 1965, Judean Date Palm seeds dated at around 2000 years old were recovered during excavations at Herod the Great's palace on Masada in Israel. In 2005, some of the seeds were planted. One grew and has been nicknamed "Methuselah." Alive today.

Palms were symbols of prayer, Rome and Victory. This was political loaded dice. Sure to irritate Pontios Pīlate, Prefect of Judea. And cause comment between Herod, Pilate and the Jewish Officials.

There is the conflict of the Pharisees always harping to gain control over miracles and anything they considered their power should hold over.

Yesterday we looked at a list of people rising from the dead in Scriptures. We could look at 100 prophesies that Jesus, as Messiah, is going to die. This was explained away and is reason why the Magi would knock on Herod's door to see the child.

Why does one of the four Gospels record a miracle and another not? Why are there 4 Gospels.

Easily explained.
Jesus sent the Disciples two by two. All the time. Not all the Disciples were on hand all the time.  Jesus records sending two Disciples to find a room for the New Covenant. Only some Disciples accompanied Jesus to the Transfiguration. Disciples were sent on errands to find the colt, two by two.

John fully explains why people were in conflict at the events surrounding Jesus. Even the colt and donkey, in various Gospels, have two Disciples going to get the animal and another pair on another errand. We are then told multitudes are in the parade. There are no stands, this is people looking over and around other people. This is a very, very frightening, charged political rally of a desire to see the Holy Spirit reign.

John 21
24 This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.

25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written."

Father God, God Almighty, has taken the incredulity of these amazing signs, the joy of the people, the conflict to explain why this needs to be explained four times.

Father, glorify your name!”
Then a voice came from heaven, “I have glorified it, and will glorify it again.”

And the men who record what they know as Gospel of God's Only Son, is written in their orderly thinking. They are building, for you, a strong house, a house of faith where your hope and love can remain. They are eye witnesses to Jesus. They want your House of Faith to be so strong, no storm will shake your faith.

1 John 3
23 This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. 24 The one who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.

John 1:3
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

John 3:3
Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again."

Jesus is, today, passionate, to be know to us. To have our heart and soul open to Jesus.

John 7:28
Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, “Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own authority, but he who sent me is true."

John 12:44
Then Jesus cried out, “Whoever believes in me does not believe in me only, but in the one who sent me."

Romans 9:30
What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith.

Father God, God of Israel, Father of Jesus,

Would bless me and enlarge my territory!

so that I will be free from pain.’

Please granted my request.

Help me to bless those who have blessed me. Help all things work together for good, as we love and honor Jesus the Lord.

In Faith, we turn to You, Father God for our concerns, our loved ones, and the People You have given us. We ask that the news we read is held up to You, for Your Goodness and Help.
In Jesus we rest knowing we cast our cares up to You, You have Greatly Loved me.

Amen in Jesus!

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
