Genesis 30 ~ The Lord has blessed you †

Genesis 30

When Rachel saw that she bore Jacob no children, she envied her sister.

She said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I shall die!”

2 Jacob's anger was kindled against Rachel, and he said, “Am I in the place of God, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?”

3 Then she said, “Here is my servant Bilhah; go in to her, so that she may give birth on my behalf, that even I may have children through her.” 4 So she gave him her servant Bilhah as a wife, and Jacob went in to her. 5 And Bilhah conceived and bore Jacob a son.

6 Then Rachel said, “God has judged me, and has also heard my voice and given me a son.” Therefore she called his name Dan. 7 Rachel's servant Bilhah conceived again and bore Jacob a second son. 8 Then Rachel said, “With mighty wrestlings, I have wrestled with my sister and have prevailed.” So she called his name Naphtali.

9 When Leah saw that she had ceased bearing children, she took her servant Zilpah and gave her to Jacob as a wife. 10 Then Leah's servant Zilpah bore Jacob a son. 11 And Leah said, “Good fortune has come!” so she called his name Gad. 12 Leah's servant Zilpah bore Jacob a second son. 13 And Leah said, “Happy am I! For women have called me happy.” So she called his name Asher.

14 In the days of wheat harvest, Reuben went and found mandrakes in the field and brought them to his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, “Please give me some of your son's mandrakes.”

15 But she said to her, “Is it a small matter that you have taken away my husband? Would you take away my son's mandrakes also?”

Rachel said, “Then he may lie with you tonight in exchange for your son's mandrakes.”

16 When Jacob came from the field in the evening, Leah went out to meet him and said, “You must come in to me, for I have hired you with my son's mandrakes.” So he lay with her that night. 17 And God listened to Leah, and she conceived and bore Jacob a fifth son. 18 Leah said, “God has given me my wages because I gave my servant to my husband.” So she called his name Issachar.

19 And Leah conceived again, and she bore Jacob a sixth son. 20 Then Leah said, “God has endowed me with a good endowment; now my husband will honor me, because I have borne him six sons.” So she called his name Zebulun. 21 Afterward, she bore a daughter and called her name Dinah.

22 Then God remembered Rachel, and God listened to her and opened her womb. 23 She conceived and bore a son and said, “God has taken away my reproach.” 24 And she called his name Joseph, saying, “May the Lord add to me another son!”

25 As soon as Rachel had borne Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, “Send me away, that I may go to my own home and country. 26 Give me my wives and my children for whom I have served you, that I may go, for you know the service that I have given you.”

27 But Laban said to him, “If I have found favor in your sight, I have learned by divination that the Lord has blessed me because of you. 28 Name your wages, and I will give it.”

29 Jacob said to him, “You yourself know how I have served you, and how your livestock has fared with me. 30 For you had little before I came, and it has increased abundantly, and the Lord has blessed you wherever I turned. But now when shall I provide for my own household also?”

31 He said, “What shall I give you?”

Jacob said, “You shall not give me anything. If you will do this for me, I will again pasture your flock and keep it: 32 let me pass through all your flock today, removing from it every speckled and spotted sheep and every black lamb, and the spotted and speckled among the goats, and they shall be my wages. 33 So my honesty will answer for me later, when you come to look into my wages with you. Every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats and black among the lambs, if found with me, shall be counted stolen.”

34 Laban said, “Good! Let it be as you have said.”

35 But that day Laban removed the male goats that were striped and spotted, and all the female goats that were speckled and spotted, every one that had white on it, and every lamb that was black, and put them in the charge of his sons. 36 And he set a distance of three days' journey between himself and Jacob, and Jacob pastured the rest of Laban's flock.

37 Then Jacob took fresh sticks of poplar and almond and plane trees, and peeled white streaks in them, exposing the white of the sticks. 38 He set the sticks that he had peeled in front of the flocks in the troughs, that is, the watering places, where the flocks came to drink. And since they bred when they came to drink, 39 the flocks bred in front of the sticks and so the flocks brought forth striped, speckled, and spotted. 40 And Jacob separated the lambs and set the faces of the flocks toward the striped and all the black in the flock of Laban. He put his own droves apart and did not put them with Laban's flock. 41 Whenever the stronger of the flock were breeding, Jacob would lay the sticks in the troughs before the eyes of the flock, that they might breed among the sticks, 42 but for the feebler of the flock he would not lay them there. So the feebler would be Laban's, and the stronger Jacob's.

43 Thus the man increased greatly and had large flocks, female servants and male servants, and camels and donkeys.

Jacob and Job of Scriptures have something in common
- the same historical time period.

The Beginning of the Middle East Trauma

The Bronze Age has filled the world with Bronze

Thutmose III of Egypt 1500 BC –1425
18th Dynasty New Kingdom is the first Pharoah to list the Land of Goshen and the Family of Joseph in the tax roles. Forget Ramses. Thutmose III created the largest empire Egypt had ever seen; no fewer than 17 campaigns were conducted. This is the Father of Egyptian riches.

Salt Papyrus 124 is from Seti II 1200 to 1194 BC 19th Dynasty of the New Kingdom
And The Tale of Two Brothers, Papyrus D'Orbiney, British Museum
The Tale of Two Brothers is an ancient Egyptian story of Trouble in a Pharoah Household.

Seti's history includes attacks on himself to the vizier Amenmose, presumably, a predecessor of Pra'emhab, whereupon Amenmose had punished Paneb. This trouble-maker had then brought a complaint before 'Mose' (i.e., 'Msy'), who then acted to remove Pra'emhab from his office. Evidently, this 'Mose' must have been a person of the highest importance, perhaps the king Amenmesse himself or a senior ally of the king.

Laban, Rachel and Leah work as a team, but really serve themselves. Eventually, they are going to have a major family fight over the household idols.

Psalm 10:4
In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek him; all his thoughts are, “There is no God.”

James 3:16
For where jealousy and selfish
ambition
exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.

Isaiah 1:23
Your princes are rebels and companions of thieves. Everyone loves a bribe and runs after gifts. They do not bring justice to the fatherless, and the widow's cause does not come to them.

God tells us life is difficult.
Really difficult.

The Tribe of Israel is going to be so difficult, finding a quote in the Bible of Beloved Brotherhood Family is going to have to wait to James and John - Sons of Zebedee.

We find the Best Scripture Quotes on Brotherhood are about believers of Jesus as Family.

Luke 19:8
And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, “Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor. And if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it fourfold.”

In communication, in emotion - we see spottiness.

Isaiah 55:8
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.

All this selfish consideration revolving from Laban's hope for profit. Laban and his get rich quick scheme of daughter-marry-off-maneuver.

Proverbs 14:29
Whoever is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who has a hasty temper exalts folly.

Now what Holy Family would recognize difficulty in a large population of many sons?

Jude 1:3  Jude the Brother of Jesus Christ
Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

This verse applies well. It is the endurance of the godly in the adversity when we all want to be the Prodigal Son and run off.

We acknowledge we are "The Instant Gratification" Generation. This situation deals with the haste of a quick answer and a quick fix.

Proverbs 19:2
Desire without knowledge is not good, and whoever makes haste with his feet misses his way.

Rachel and Leah face the consequences of payback.

Proverbs 28:20
A faithful man will abound with blessings, but whoever hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.

Galatians 6:7
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

In being centered on self-win

Numbers 14:18
‘The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation.’

Exodus 20:5
You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me.

The Evolution of the Money

When Moses arrives at the well of Midian - the many daughters of Jethro are thrilled. In the desert, opportunities are few.

48% of the USA today tells the Pew Report they are married. This is, of course, saying 52% are unmarried. Even today the majority reason for being single is financial instability. Opportunities in life are few and far between in rural areas, in cities, in movie stars and Moses types.

Laban has his prosperous sister's child as union free, wage free labor. God tells us even the Oxen should be paid.

(We are making the point Iron Age man is still the same - and The Bible being living and active records mankind in many different Millenniums - - - relate Very Well.)

Proverbs 21:15
When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.

Laban is not happy to hear of the end of the work agreement.

Laban has set in motion the end of his profit-taking. And in doing this profit taking has also changed the lives of his daughters. And their expectation of happiness.

Isaiah 61:8
For I the Lord love justice; I hate robbery and wrong; I will faithfully give them their recompense, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

James 5:4
Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.

What would God say about this subversive group of Gentiles?
God would choose to begin Israel from gentiles fighting over placement.

Romans 3

22 And this righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ
to all who believe.
There is no distinction,
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 and are justified freely by His grace.

Jacob is the Zacchaeus voyager. And has his own spottiness. Jacob is working every day to put his faith in God and finding the blessing.

If we had to find one Biblical Passage to attest to Jacob - this one would work well:

Galatians 6:9
And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

The passage is literally about sticks and literally about the conversation Jacob has with Labon about providing for those he loves. Jacob has a harsh task to care for this many in a nation knowing drought
and hunger. Jacob is not the Prodigal Son - he is not running off. Jacob intends to lead his household.

Deuteronomy 22
29 then the man who lay with her shall give to the father of the young woman fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife, because he has violated her. He may not divorce her all his days.

There is something Jacob does with the help of God.
And in doing this Jacob does not break. And could only be accomplished with God and faith. Forgiveness.

Ephesians 2

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith.
And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,  not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

11Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called “the uncircumcision” by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands—

12 Remember that you were at that time separated from Christ,
alienated from the commonwealth of Israel
and strangers to the covenants of promise,
having no hope and without God in the world.

But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility

In continuing to do goodness. The Family of Jesus would see reason to want to honor Jacob.

Prayers of The Righteous: The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
James 5:16

Family continues. Love continues.

500 years later when the Exodus would happen - Moses would make room for foreigners and journeyers. The Tribe of Israel is made up of the Nations. Jacob himself is descended from people from Turkey. The maids were slaves and might have been from China, Africa or India - we just don't know.

And God gave us Exodus to say the quality of life we have is important to God. And God had the Egyptians give gold to pay wages. God is for freedom, opportunity, kindness to the weak and payment for work.

When Jesus tells us He is the Way, Truth and Life - we find Jesus knows of what He is teaching us. And Jacob demonstrates to us we will even wrestle with God - and God will bless us. The Bible is Living and Active and the nature of mankind continues to delight God in Proverbs 8 and causes God to want to save the world in Jesus Christ.

How could Jacob have survived Essau and Rebecca and Isaac and Laban and Leah and Rachel and Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin without knowing and appreciating the Goodness of God.

Jacob finds his strength in the Joy of the Lord.
And Jacob takes the spots in life and does well and goes very far - healing and forgiving. At the end of Jacob's life, Jacob does not want any of his children to steal a blessing and provides the Major Portion Blessing for all of his children. And for us - learning God is not limited in His Love and Goodness.

Father God,

We pray the Large prayers of Jesus bless us prayers. The seeds of the young generation bloom and have the Holy Spirit rise up in them. the youth will have Your Power to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.

We pray into our Lives healing, the Life of Jesus and His goodness.

We want to see Your Great Deeds and Awesome Works in the land of the living. In these days may the righteous flourish, And abundance of peace flourish. Secure dwellings and in undisturbed resting places. The LORD is our king; He will save us. And the work of righteousness will be peace, And the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever.

Come Lord Jesus in the willingness of God to us each day to see Your Willingness and dwell there. Bringing more Heaven to our lives in our words and deeds. Bless our lives, our children, our children's children unto the generations carried to dwell in the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ.

And all the people praying will Alleluia their Amen together in Jesus Christ!!!

John 5:24 ~Truly, truly, I say

John 5:24

Truly, truly, I say to you,
whoever hears my word
and believes him who sent me has eternal life.
He does not come into judgment
but has passed from death to life.

A Day to God is Thousands of Years. Explains Simon. Simon is from Bethsaida. His family found new government incentives to obtain piscary rights providing a Large city and the surrounding area with their daily food supply. The new initiative was fruitful and Simon and his brother Andrew build the largest home in the area, complete with the bells and whistles of a view, finely finished out and being near the center of community ideas and philosophies of God. His new hometown is Capernaum. When Simon was shown how to increase sales to the top of the line - almost the breaking point - Simon was ready to retire. He told Jesus to look away from Simon - a sinful man.

Simon frequently reads about Moses. When Moses met God, God showed Moses how to place his arm in his tunic to find Leprosy. God then cured Moses and told Moses he could show Pharoah this discovery of healing. Moses was not going to find out about displaying this type of healing again.

God tends to like people. Good thing - we are all people.

Jesus went up on Mount Tabor to introduce Peter, John and James to His Father in Transfiguration. As they come down from the mountain - the Disciples greeted God by saying this father and son duo is beyond us. Jesus tells them to pray and continue to pray with faith. The father of the son cries out for God to help him have more faith.

John 6:29
Jesus told them, "This is the only work God wants from you:
Believe in the one he has sent."

Jesus also told us we Live by Every Word of God. Deuteronomy 8:3  When God tells us faith is work - we find God means work.

Jesus says Daily:

Luke 18
1 Jesus told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart.

Jesus said to do this in the face of injustice and difficult times.

Philippians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.

Matthew 18:10
These little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven.

Even John the Baptist was seen to be Least in the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus said consider all of mankind, because the least of them represent Jesus.

Fear not little flock - it is the Father's Good Pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Matthew 28:20
Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Luke 15:31
“‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours."

John 5:17
Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.”

1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you

1 John 5:5
Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

The entrance and the view today from John's Cave in Patmos.

Father God,

We ask Your Hand and Your Heart turn to us. ThatHelp our prayers may align with Your Will. And in that agreement, our loved ones, our dearly held people will rejoice seeing the Wonders of God. In expectations, we open our hands and pray with Jesus.

Knowing as Creation prays for all of their loved ones - we have pleased You - circling the earth and blessing our Nation and the Nations praying for more Heaven on earth. And we have Blessed You when we earnestly say, Thank You, Father God.

Thank You, You hear us, Father God. Amen.

John 20:29 ~ More blessed

John 20:29

More blessed are the eyes that have not seen, and yet believe.

The Gospels have personality. Each Gospel is indeed written by the Person who declares the authorship. Just as Papyrus 46, all 300 intact chapters of the New Testament were probably in existence during the life of John the Beloved Disciple.

Bishop Papias of Hierapolis interviewed John on Patmos Island and asked him what he thought of the other Gospels. John said he agreed with all of them and saw them as accurate.

The Gospels present Jesus in the way this person came to faith. The orderliness of the events makes complete sense to the author of the Gospel in the Power of the Holy Spirit.

Because the Gospels are real and of God - we have the Scriptures to believe and hold on to.

Abba Father God,

How Blessed we are not to be invaded. Blessed to have wonderful peace.

Blessed to be the recipients of what our forefathers fought for in our Religious Freedoms.

Blessed what so many have fought for to advance our culture.

Blessings of God are finding the healing and Joy God provides. May we all continue to have and love and enjoy and give more of Your Love in the Holy Spirit.

These Blessings we pray for our Children, our Love Ones and as we celebrate the people who pray with love and faith we know our prayers go around the world God finds Good.

Jesus Bless us this day and always we pray,

Amen.

John 10:33-35 ~ The Word of God

Sitting with the Highest Name above all others - Jesus Christ, Only Son of God.

John 10:33-35

33 “We are not stoning You for any good work,” said the Jews, “but for blasphemy, because You, who are a man, declare Yourself to be God.”

34 Jesus replied, “Is it not written in your Law: ‘I have said you are gods’? 35 If he called them gods to whom the word of God came—and the Scripture cannot be broken."

There are a few Words in the Scriptures we don't use often. And two I'm thinking of today begin with "B". Behold. I love this word. Filled with God saying, "It is Good!" Wonder and Appreciation.

The other word is Blasphemy. When we used this word - usually we are smiling. I read this passage in 2007 and thought to myself, "Wow, when we see answered prayer (in Jesus' Name) - we are gods." I promptly came down with vertigo and was quite ill. I didn't feel blasphemous at the time I thought it - this was a passing thought. However, vertigo will get your attention. And this Scripture has caused me to think of it more than a few times.

Jesus is quoting from God's Law - His Word, Psalm 82

A Psalm of Asaph.

1 God has taken his place in the divine council;
in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:
2 “How long will you judge unjustly
and show partiality to the wicked? Selah
3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless;
maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.
4 Rescue the weak and the needy;
deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”

5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding,
they walk about in darkness;
all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

6 I said, “You are gods,
sons of the Most High, all of you;
7 nevertheless, like men you shall die,
and fall like any prince.”

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth;
for you shall inherit all the nations!

This is the meaning, my opinion of the word 'gods',

Matthew 13
16 Blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.
17 For truly, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

The King of Glory and the Beautiful Gate.

Luke 10:23
Then Jesus turned to the disciples and said privately, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see."

When Jesus died, multitudes of women arrived to mourn. God's Only Son was about to die. Multitudes had followed Jesus and His Love, Mercy and Compassion from the first day of His Ministry because the blind saw. The deaf heard. The lame walked. And the Poor had Good News preached to them. Emmanuel God with us.

Luke 23

26 And as they led him away, they seized one Simon of Cyrene, who was coming in from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it behind Jesus.

there followed him a great multitude of the people and of women who were mourning and lamenting for him. 28 But turning to them Jesus said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. 29 For behold, the days are coming when they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren and the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’ 30 Then they will begin to say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us,’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us.’ 31For if they do these things when the wood is green, what will happen when it is dry?”

All things could have happened when the Author of Life, our Righteousness was killed. All the miracles could have evaporated like the Dead Sea. The Light of the world stopped and the world was in darkness. This might have continued across the earth. The earth did quake. We know this from history. The mountains could have fallen.

Jesus was truly killed in neither knowledge nor understanding. We could have been left and abandoned to walk about in darkness -forever. And all the foundations of the earth could have been shaken.

Instead, we have God's Greatest Miracle:

32 Two others, who were criminals, were led away to be put to death with him. 33 And when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on his right and one on his left.

34 And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

Surely mankind was blessed to see these acts of God are gods. Millenniums of mankind wanted to see the Messiah walk as truth and grace. The People of God, sons and daughters of the Most High, continued to see, continued to hear, continued to be alive, continued to walk, continued to be cleansed. Because of the Mercy of God's Only Son - Jesus Christ.

Abba,

We are Blessed Blessed to be forgiven. Blessed to have Your mercies renew daily. Blessed to be daily loaded with Your Benefits.

Blessed since your Baptism. Blessed to be of the New Covenant being forgiven of God.

Blessed the Battle is Won.

Blessed to be forgiven when we have seen false witness. Blessed to be bearing each other's burdens

Blessed to be one in Jesus Christ by His invitation to be His Child. Blessed to be in the Light of Jesus Christ our Lord.

Blessed to receive a Blessing - Blessed to give a Blessing.

Blessed to live in a Nation Trusting God. Blessed to pray a Blessing over those we Love.

Blessed to be part of the Generations of people who loved Jesus.
I am blessed to be the great-granddaughter of James Lawrence Wilson and Augusta Elliott Wilson, grand-daughter of an Episcopal Priest and my grandmother Augusta Elliott Wilson Anderson Young who was blessed to be from Bolivar County, Mississippi. Rosedale, Mississippi.

Blessed in many generations of those Beloved of God loving Jesus Christ.

Blessed to continue praying for an old dog, our son's dog, Jackson, and his health issues to be healed.

Blessed to be Jesus Christ's Child. Forever. Amen.

Isaiah 41:1-6 ~ Nations

Genesis 11:1-2

11 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech. 2 As people moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar [Eden Genesis 2 and 3] and settled there.

Hear Oh Israel, the Lord thy God is One.

Beginning History starts with rivers of the Garden of Eden in Genesis. Israel is a curious brown dot reappearing. Some of the Davidic Kings are debated as client kings of larger empires. Impossible renewal for a tiny country.

Isaiah 41:1-6

1 “Be silent before me, you islands! Let the nations renew their strength!

Let them come forward and speak; let us meet together at the place of judgment.

2 “Who has stirred up one from the east, calling him in righteousness to his service? He hands nations over to him and subdues kings before him. He turns them to dust with his sword, to windblown chaff with his bow. 3 He pursues them and moves on unscathed, by a path his feet have not traveled before.

4 Who has done this and carried it through, calling forth the generations from the beginning?

I, the LORD—with the first of them and with the last—I am he.”

5 The islands have seen it and fear; the ends of the earth tremble.

They approach and come forward; 6 they help each other and say to their companions,

“Be strong!”

A Nation begins of a people. A people is a community extended of a family. A family is just the hope and hearth of a frail human being called to life - by God our Father.

When we pray a blessing over a Nation - God is very able.
We pray for a Nation and we are praying for one Child of God and that Child of God's Family. That Child of God's Community. That Child of God of God's People. We reach the Nation and God our Father knows every hair upon each head - every heart and every desire. Our God upholds the Universe with His Word. Our Father God's Will for His Pleasure - is our Hope and Future. And in Jesus Christ, this is our Good News.

His Light is in all of mankind.
Our God wants to save the world in Jesus Christ.

Our Abba, our Father,

We are seeking Your Blessing. Finding Blessings and praying Blessings upon our loves and praying more than we can ask or imagine - to bless all of our lives unto the Nation. The Nations and Your Beloved People.

We ask in Jesus' Name to bring Your Love into us and into our loved ones to bring Your Love spreading to the Good Creation.

All of Your Willing Blessings. We promise to look and find more than we ask or imagine.

Genesis 12:2
And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.

Thank You for a life remembering many answered Prayers. Thank You, Father.

You are our Strength. Fortitude.

Isaiah 40:31
We who wait for the Lord shall renew our strength;
we shall mount up with wings like eagles;
we shall run and not be weary;
we shall walk and not faint.

Thank You, Father, for remembered prayers of healing. Even last year. Thank You for Jackson is better and more comfortable.

Save us from those who persecute the people of faith. Especially the relentless haters. And especially those who truly prefer to be caught.

Meeting together, to stir one another up to good and meaningful lives.
We receive Comfort. Heavenly Glory is at hand.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of mercies
and God of all comfort.

You comfort us in all our affliction,
Help us, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction,
Help us give with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Thank You, Father. As years pass and we find so many prayers are blessed by You in Your tender mercies. In each decade of life. We take time to remember and say Thank You. Your faithful care brings us renewal of Faith from Your Love. Thank You.

We could list so many Heavenly glories You have given to our families now and in generations past.
We know the Hope for our future and our children's children.

Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you
with all joy and peace in believing,
by the power of the Holy Spirit
you may abound in hope.

We Thank You for comfort. Thank You.

Protection, Father we pray protection upon all of us.
We are grateful we only pray to God of Gods.
King of Kings.
Light of Light.
You have given us Jesus Christ.

Psalm 91:1-16

We who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will abide in the shadow of the Almighty
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

He will
Deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.
He will
Cover you with his pinions,
Under His wings, you will find refuge

His faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day.

Remembering storms in life that have passed securely for answered Prayer from Your Love.

Glory so great that Safety is covered.

2 Timothy 4:18

Psalm 35:27, 28 ~ Delight

Psalm 35:27, 28

Let those who delight in my righteousness
shout for joy and be glad
and say evermore,
“Great is the Lord,
who delights in the welfare of his servant!”

28 Then my tongue shall tell of your righteousness
and of your praise all the day long.

This is very like Proverbs 8. God delights in seeing into mankind.

And in this prayer of His Goodness

We find these to pray

Abba, Father God,

1 Chronicles 16:8
Give thanks unto the LORD, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.

Genesis 32:28
And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Genesis 33:20
And he erected there an altar, and called it EleloheIsrael.

1 Samuel 1:17
Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.

Luke 19:42
Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace!

Genesis 12:2
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

Genesis 32:26
And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.

Psalm 72:17
His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.

Joshua 17:14-18
And the children of Joseph spake unto Joshua, saying, Why hast thou given me but one lot and one portion to inherit, seeing I am a great people, forasmuch as the LORD hath blessed me hitherto? …

Proverbs 10:22
The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.

Psalm 119:173
Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy precepts.

Bless those we Love. Thank You for answering our cares for all of our lives, Father God.

Bless us as High as the Nation itself. Carry Your Glory to all the Nations trusting in You.
And as Wide as all Your Beloved Children asking more of Your Heaven and Good Will done upon this earth.

Thank You for Your Creation.

In Jesus for us all. Amen.

Psalm 7:8-17 ~ Righteous God

Psalm 7:8-17

8 The LORD judges the peoples; judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and according to the integrity that is in me.

9 Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end, and may you establish the righteous-- you who test the minds and hearts, O righteous God!

10 My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart. 11 God is a righteous judge, and a God who feels indignation every day.

12 If a man does not repent, God will whet his sword; he has bent and readied his bow; 13 he has prepared for him his deadly weapons, making his arrows fiery shafts. 14 Behold, the wicked man conceives evil and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies. 15 He makes a pit, digging it out, and falls into the hole that he has made. 16 His mischief returns upon his own head, and on his own skull his violence descends.

17 I will give to the LORD the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High.

Christians have something in common for all the diversity of normal Christian population. Christians are interested in knowing the life stories of the Bible. And when Christians get together conversation moves around life stories of God's people. We know Christians by their Love. Christians want to know what happens to people. Compassion is a constant.

Is Psalm 7 true? God would say Psalm 7 does not have variations.

For the villainous  I've known - the internal makings of evil defeat themselves. Love is a safety net. And requires looking at compassion and this mercy resets the conversation and life.

And I'd have to say, I do believe in the last resort of mankind - hell. Two of the most utterly self-serving and other people destroying - have died proclaiming fire loudly. Really not a joy to proclaim this - however if we are going to count the cost - hell is a cost.

Do unto others.
If we hope for the upbuilding of our city, state and nation - we are filled with Hope. If we hope our people/neighbors have Love, Peace and Joy - we bring this into our hearts. When we pray - we hope to bring God's Love into our lives and His Love manifest into others. We are actually doing as the Lord said and did and does - bringing His Love and Light into life. We want God's Love today and always. And in this comfort and in the teaching of God - we have the Holy Spirit and His balm.

Abba,

This is Today. We ask Your Blessings.

The balm of Your comfort and Love to do Your Plan. Encourage us in Your Plan. Strengthen us to do Your Plan. Guard us in safety to do Your Plan. Keep in Hope, Faith and Love to know Your Plan is being done and rejoice. We need Your Mercy to keep us in Your Plan. And Thank You. Thank You to be covered in Jesus.

We need more Heaven on earth daily. And have the gladness of knowing God Himself favors the Request.

Let the Balm of Your Love be ours, the ones we love - covering us all unto the Nation. Your balm covering our cares and anointing us to find the Joy of God. Daily. Your Love flowing to the Nations trusting in You. To all of Your Children asking for Your Favor in our lives today.

And asking for Jackson to have Your healing and Your mercy. And for my mother in recovery from knee surgery. Safe travels. And thanksgiving for the lady helping her daily.

Thank You, Father God, for our Blessings.

In Jesus. Amen.

Psalm 91 ~ He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

Psalm 91

1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

2 I will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

5 You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. 7 A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you.

8 You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. 9 Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place-- the Most High, who is my refuge-- 10 no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.

12 On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. 13 You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot.

14 "Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. 15 When he calls to me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him.

16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation."

In 1996, Edward and I went to a wedding of a good, life-long friend of his getting married in Tyler, Texas. And to this day it's one of my favorite weddings. Edward's good friend timed the sunset to marry at Lake Palestine. He had written his vows to go along with the traditional vows. Edward's good friend had fallen in adoration of Jesus and His Love after graduating from college. And was marrying the Love of his life.

It was outside and all was so beautiful. I was so glad to be there because earlier in the week our oldest son had had 103' fever. The Pediatrician had given our son a shot after discovering strep throat. Cal's fever had not gone down in several hours and I called the answering service - we were told he would be fine, just bathe him in cool washcloths and keep monitoring even when the child would hate the cold washcloths. It had been a very arduous 24 hours. Cal recovered well with oral antibiotics and that shot.

So we were really enjoying that wedding! I woke up in the hotel about 3 a.m. and began to vomit for a day. We returned home and I rested wondering why I was the only one with anything gastric. And on Monday, I began to break out in painful blisters. By the time I got to Edward's good friend, our family physician in Dallas - I had a lot of very painful blisters and a rash on my back. Our Doctor was a heroic and older pilot from World War II and he called my dermatologist and got me an appointment for the next day. By the time I reached the appointment, I had a rash across my back, more very painful blisters and a new type of small bumps.

The Dermatologist said he hadn't seen anything like it. And he called in his older partner. They stepped out and said I had obviously contracted Poison Ivy. I argued that I had not and it was now cool weather and not exploring weather. I was given a shot of cortisone and sent home. I began to vomit again. I called our Dallas physician and he said to come in and he would look again. He offered more cortisone. The rash now covered my back and part of my stomach. More bumps and more blisters. The blisters were so painful that when one formed on my right pointer finger, I couldn't place that finger on the steering wheel and drove with my finger straight up. I was told in a week I'd be better. I could hardly sleep. Later the next week, I called my mother and told her it wasn't poison ivy and I thought I was dying. My mother arrived with a huge, new tube of antibiotics - strong antibiotics - used because we both had had cystic acne. I had been ill by that time about 9 or 10 days. Too weakened to figure out what other physicians to go to.

I applied that very strong antibiotic cream all over my body liberally. I felt better within the hour. And within a day I was so much better - I slept for the first time in a long time. I called to argue with our long term Dermatologist. And I got him on the phone and told him about the relief from vomiting and feeling as if I was dying before the huge tube of antibiotics. Used up in a week's time. We were both told by our same Dermatologist this was a misuse of his prescription. Within a year, we were no longer his patients.

In times of hardship - like beginning to go to the Cardiologist for heart testing at age 42 - this is one of the times in life where His Children begin to wonder where God is.

The Scriptures are like Life. Not really surprising. We search the Scriptures to find the exact phrase - the right verse we are craving. Like a jigsaw puzzle.

This time the memory from 1996 is placed with a facebook message from 2013.
In the obscure world of social media - I am facebook friends with a friend-of-a-friend priest who lives on the East Coast of Canada. I really prefer to know the people I know on facebook very directly. But sometime in 2010, I got a facebook message from a friend telling me to be friends with this Canadian Priest. And usually, you never hear from obscure FB friends - ever.  And sometimes this Priest with 40 something years of 'Priesting' sends me a facebook message and we correspond. And I had my answer from 1996. (Ok - yes - it's a long term jigsaw puzzle, granted.)

So my Canadian FB friend sent me a video Sermon he said he just had sent to him by another priest. And he asked that I please review it - because he felt strongly led by the Holy Spirit this Sermon would be (heartwarming) a life long lesson to be blessed by. And he was right! Because when you strongly remember a Sermon for many years - you have heard from the Holy Spirit of Father God and receive teaching and comfort.

The Point of the Sermon was this:

We crave God to do something Miraculous. Something like the Exodus. Look carefully for God.

Romans 11:5
So too, at the present time, there is a remnant chosen by grace.

We can all live by this today in several ways:

1. God has not brought us so far that He is going to dump us on our head.

2. God does the impossible. And often in subtle ways.

3. Micah 2:12
I will surely assemble all of you, O Jacob; I will gather the remnant of Israel; I will set them together like sheep in a fold, like a flock in its pasture, a noisy multitude of men.

The more we follow God - the more the Path becomes CLEAR.
When we look back - we can see the times in life God was helping. God giving us His Love and His Help. Psalm 139 Promises, Promises, Promises = God is thinking of us more than the sands on the beach.

When we feel we are alone. When our mother is dying, when the dog is dying, when our husband has a terminal illness. When adult children find jobs and get married. And you are in your 50s - God is going to put one Light on the path. We (Children of God) are going to find a way. A Way. A Truth. A Life. Follow the thread of Light. Keep following the thread of Light.

When the Path does not have an apparent solution. God will put just one thread of Light for us. Never give up searching and we are found by God. Look for the thread of His Light.

And the Sermon referenced Corrie Ten Baum - find a way to have gratitude. Find the Foundation. Believe in the thread of Light.

Abba, Father God,

You are our Destination. You are our Creator and Father.

You have given us Blessings. We have Jesus - Light of the world. Light of mankind.

The Disciples bear witness - our Hearts are Warmed by Jesus.

And in this Love, we ask to be Blessed and Sealed forever. Today.

We ask Jesus to flood and warm and enfold our Loved ones forever.

Trusting Jesus with our dearest prayers. Knowing we bring God's Love within us and this prayer reaching His Love forth.

We want the Light of Jesus Christ for this entire Nation. This Nation trusting in God.

We'd be blessed to see the Nations trusting in God blessed by You.

And in the Light and Love God has for us - we are blessed to be the communion of saints - hoping as Jesus said
for more Heaven on earth. Blessed in the Prayer of Real Hope.

Asking this prayer to do more than we can ask or imagine in Jesus Christ. King of Kings.

Let the Word of God be His Willing Blessing to us, we ask.

Amen and Amen.

About Me

My photo
Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation. The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
