John 6:35-40 ~ I will raise him up

John 6:35-40

Jesus said to them, “I am the Bread of Life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe.

37 All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out.

38 For I have come down from  Heaven, not to do my own will but the will of Him who sent me.

39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but raise it up on the last day.

40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in Him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

I was thinking about freedom from worry today, in the middle of this season when the news is without many solutions. Poor Chicago.

Jesus is the Gate

John 10:9

 I am the door.
If anyone enters by me, he will be saved
and will go in and out
and find pasture.

And Our Father gave Heaven 12 gates. Pearl gates, yet, the images we have for Gates of Heaven...

What if the Pearl was the Glow of the Holy Spirit?

Jesus tells us the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. We are asked to pray more of God's Will done on earth as in Heaven.

One of the ideas Mindful thought has, is as we enter a doorway - anywhere, we think of where we are, where we have been and be grateful. Some people do this for every doorway. What we pray for with hope.

Do I really believe we will do this in all doorways? No, life presses us on to the next thought. But any device or pneumatic device causing us to have more gratitude, is bound to increase positive thought patterns.

To have gratitude, reminds us about sincere joy. Asking the Lord to flood every particle, cell, idea, light in our bodies to have gratitude. To bring Him Joy and our Joy as well.

We know Jesus had a physical body as He left the Tomb. And His feet literally went to the places He knew. What relief Jesus must have felt to have the ordeal of the Cross behind Him.

We could probably think, Jesus had His heart and mind focused joyfully on a new aspect of Life.

The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. New ideas, new paths. We know Jesus walked the road to Emmaus.  And traveled, appearing as Light itself, into rooms that were closed.

New ideas.

What if we could just turn off the situations we talk about that are so bizarre, and only appeal to about 3 percent of the population.

And we thought about solutions.

So many of the nurseries in the south, have too many winter to spring plants, they won't live to June. For short term, sure.

What if we all put in the ideas that are so different, like not having a yard, and thought about His Good Creation.

To care for His Good Creation. And we took the ideas of no yard, to a yard that integrates bees and less water, mowing and insecticide. For the Northern United States, white Clover looks good in mild summer climates.

In Texas, and the South, we won't have this luxurious idea. But we could add in Texas Agrilife's Neches High Temp White Clover.  We would have a hybrid, but weeds would be diminished and bees would be shared with the glories of the whole Clover lawn.

And then we would find what we would seed our flowerbeds with, ending weeds as the taller flowers grew.  And thrilled the Hummingbirds, the birds looking for a worm and, again, the bees.

Ebby Halliday of Dallas used to love to tell about Dallas recovering from Black Monday 1987, Dallas had more business start-ups as a percentage of the entire population, than ever before.
We need some positive ideas and companies.  When the King Ranch was running out of ideas, they began to grow St. Augustine Grass, and the King Ranch was flush again. We need some optimism again.  Ideas inspiring hope, instead of just and, only, change. Inspiration. Gratitude. Mindful Gratitude.

Father, Abba,

On the days we do not appreciate all of our blessings, help infuse our blessings into our heart, minds and soul. Let every blood cell carry gratitude in us to our Joy

And the Joy of Jesus Christ.

Help us to gather wisdom without shrewdness. Let us have the joy of gladness in our fellowship without the endless gathering of resources and funds.

Lord, in Your mercy, send help, in these days of gloom and unhappiness. Let those of us having a good season shine the Light of Jesus Christ so gently and brightly the world is eager for Jesus Christ. Let those of us having a season of stress and sorrow, believe gently and bring the Light of Jesus Christ for all of us.

In the Great Love of Jesus,
we all be saved as we put our trust in Him.

Bless You, Father, for Jesus Christ. Amen.

Romans 12:9-21 ~ Love one another

Romans 12:9-21

9 Let love be genuine.

Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.

10 Love one another with brotherly affection.

Outdo one another in showing honor. 11 Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.

12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them.

15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. 16 Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight. 17 Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.

18 If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. 19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.”

21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

I didn't know how much life would change from the Covid Pandemic. Yet, life really changed. While I was still pretty naive about Covid, I remember 4 events standing out.

A friend called to say they were ruined in retirement age. And they found their legs. Thank God.

A young 20s woman burst into bawling tears at Starbucks, saying she was too young to die and what about her family. Seeing her comforted.

A Veterinarian, on Social Media, said she had changed her name to make this Post about how hard it was to see families struggle to pay for vet care and the animals that live with the necessities. The hardships she sees for people and the pets. Her interactions with choices and care. And her desire to cope and not drown. The overwhelming support she received. Perhaps the overwhelming love really helped because she did not post again. And her profound thanks.

My mother always joked when she was done in and couldn't hear or know, she wanted to be put in with birds with Bird Flu and leave the earth to fly to Heaven. Mother used up all her physical health and speech, movement, words, memories and contracted Covid. She had paid 26 years to have long-term health insurance because she wanted to pass on with plenty of calm people, oxygen and definitely morphine.  And thanks to endless calls to Hospice, Mother had her care.

The pandemic has changed life.

Work patterns have changed. Travel is far more on the Holidays to gather with family. The Housing market is just bizarre, mortgage rates are what we had on two of our long-term houses. Almost half of all people in the USA say they think this is the end of the world, or at least privately worry. The working poor has increased dramatically with the fear to be able to afford necessities. Solutions are few, remedies are wrong and bad news rolls in with glee. Homelessness goes on for city blocks and is... Ignored?

What is Good? Where is Good?

Matthew 17:7
Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and have no fear.”

81% of the United States really celebrated Easter, believing Jesus is the Risen Lord and will hear our prayers. Knowing that Pandemic Recovery makes people violent on airplanes. Traveling to see their families.

Luke 17:19
And he said to him, “Rise and go your way;
your faith has made you well.”

John 11:23
Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

Luke 7 we will all know.

13When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said, “Do not weep.”

14 Then He went up and touched the coffin, and those carrying it stood still. “Young man,”

He said, “I tell you, rise up!”

15 And the dead man sat up and began to speak!

Then Jesus gave him back to his mother.

Abba, Father,

We thank You for Jesus
and His Salvation.

Amen in Jesus.

Exodus 13:17-14:4 ~ did not depart

Exodus 13:17-22

17 When Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near.

For God said, “Lest the people change their minds when they see war and return to Egypt.”

18 But God led the people around by the way of the wilderness toward the Red Sea. And the people of Israel went up out of the land of Egypt equipped for battle.

19 Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for Joseph had made the sons of Israel solemnly swear, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones with you from here.” 20 And they moved on from Succoth and encamped at Etham, on the edge of the wilderness.

21 And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the way, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. 22 The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night did not depart from before the people.

Ipuwer Papyrus was found in front of the Pyramids.
The Pharaoh's name is scratched out each time.

In Exodus 12:30 it is written:... there was a great cry in Egypt.

To it corresponds the Ipuwer Papyrus 3:14:
It is groaning that is throughout the land, mingled with lamentations. The statues of the gods fell and broke in pieces: "this night... against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment" (Exodus 12:12).

A book by Artapanus, no longer exists, which quoted some unknown ancient source and which in its turn was quoted by Eusebius, tells of "hail and earthquake by night [of the last plague], so that those who fled from the earthquake were killed by the hail, and those who sought shelter from the hail were destroyed by the earthquake. And at that time all the houses fell in, and most of the temples."

Revolt and Flight

The description of disturbances in the Papyrus Ipuwer, when compared with the scriptural narrative, gives a strong impression that both sources relate the very same events.

It is natural to look for mention of revolt among the population, of a flight of wretched slaves from this country visited by disaster, and of a cataclysm in which the pharaoh perished.

Although in the mutilated papyrus there is no explicit reference to the Israelites or their leaders, three facts are clearly described as consequences of the upheaval:

The population revolted;
The wretched or the poor men fled;
The Pharaoh perished under unusual circumstances....

PAPYRUS 4:2 Forsooth, great and small say: I wish I might die.
5:14f. Would that there might be an end of men, no conception, no birth! Oh, that the earth would cease from noise, and tumult be no more!

The escaped slaves hurried across the border of the country. By day, a column of smoke went before them in the sky; by night it was a pillar of fire.

EXODUS 13:21 ... by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night.

After the first manifestations of the protracted cataclysm, the Egyptians tried to bring order into the land. They traced the route of the escaped slaves. The wanderers became "entangled in the land, the wilderness hath shut them in" (Exodus 14:3)

PAPYRUS 7:1 Behold, the fire has mounted up on high. Its burning goes forth against the enemies of the land.

The wanderers turned to the sea, they stood at Pi-ha-Khiroth. "The Egyptians pursued after them. The Egyptians marched after them." A hurricane blew all the night and the sea fled.

In a great avalanche of water "the sea returned to his strength", and "the Egyptians fled against it". The sea engulfed the chariots and the horsemen, the pharaoh and all his host.

Exodus 14:1-4

14 Then the Lord said to Moses, 2 “Tell the people of Israel to turn back and encamp in front of Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Baal-zephon; you shall encamp facing it, by the sea. 3 For Pharaoh will say of the people of Israel, ‘They are wandering in the land; the wilderness has shut them in.’

4 And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will pursue them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord.” And they did so.

This is being called: THE FIND OF THE MILLENNIUM

The 2-centimeter-square (.78-inch) amulet may be the signature discovery of a lifetime. Professor Gershon Galil of the University of Haifa said this type of discovery is made only once a millennia.

New Artifact Found.
The earliest mention of God in an Exodus Site.

The Jewish News of Northern California
Israel, near Mount Ebal

Earliest mention of God’s name found in West Bank archaeological site.

The finding may also spur renewed debate on the dating of biblical events, especially those told in the Book of Exodus. A peer-reviewed article is in process.

The artifact, less than 1 inch in length and width and known as a curse tablet, also recalls the account of Joshua building an altar nearby, which Israeli archaeologist Adam Zertal excavated in the 1980s.

The curse tablet was discovered near Mount Ebal, also called the Mount of the Curse in the books of Deuteronomy and Joshua. Stripling found it in a dump site, part of the structure Zertal identified as Joshua’s altar. Stripling said the finding was a confirmation of the biblical account.

In recent years, Stripling also announced the discovery of a Tabernacle platform during his ongoing excavations at biblical Shiloh.

Now, wonder with me, the Isaiah Bulla has a fingerprint and the world wonders if we have seen our Isaiah's Fingerprint.

We will think about who carved this rock with God's Name. Moses?  Moses as a Prince of Egypt would read and write. Doubtful, the Children of Israel, the slaves were literate.

From Mount Ebal to Mount Gerizim.

The Exodus Travels of Moses and the Children of Israel.

The Archaeology has been found. The Significance of Ebal is evil or curses. The opposite side of the valley is Mount Gerizim, Blessings and Goodness.

Union General Lew Wallace wrote Ben Hur. As he started the novel, Wallace wrote — I do not think myself good enough to be a communicant.

When he finished writing, “When I had finished [the writing], I said to myself with Balthasar, “God only is so great.” I had become a believer.”

Mar 10, 2021 — Gerizim was the mountain now known as Tel Kabir, which is opposite the altar site. He explained that the current MtGerizim was only given its ..

Professor of Archaeology Adam Zertal, University of Haifa, has undergone a transformation of faith. From finding a High Place.

“The altar was supposed to be nonexistent, a legend,” says Zertal, leaning on crutches, a legacy of wounds he suffered in combat during the 1973 Yom Kippur War against Egypt and Syria. “At first we didn’t know what we were excavating. The stones at Mount Ebal are crucial. “If this corroborates exactly what is written in that ancient part of the Bible,” says Zertal, “it means that probably other parts are historically correct. The impact is tremendous.”

Zertal believes this is the altar the Bible Moses wrote saying build on Mount Ebal, after the Israelites arrived in the promised land. This is where land is given among the 12 tribes, and where the Israelites “became a people,” as the Old Testament puts it.

“We are digging up Bible stories!” Adam Zertal commented: “We discovered this place, all covered with stones, in April 1980. At that time I never dreamed we were dealing with the altar because I was taught in Tel Aviv University — where anti-Biblical tendencies say theories are untrue, and Biblical accounts were written later. I didn't even know of the story of the Joshua's altar. But we surveyed every meter of the site, and in the course of nine years of excavation, we discovered an ancient structure with no parallels to anything we had seen before.”

Carbon dating of artifacts play out.

The Exodus is found in Egyptian Documentation.

The Blessing of Honesty in Scripture.

History has Upheavals every 500 years. Actions of God don't create an immediate Revival.
Plague, historically, has all people shaken up.   Instead, there are wars, prejudices, outrageous behavior, people are unsettled and borders and governments change. Fact.

In peace, in tumult, in the stress of people believing this could be the end times.  There are some scriptures to remember.

John-6-29

Jesus answered and said to them,
'This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.'

Psalm 139

Or where shall I flee from your presence?

8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!

9 If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.

11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
12 even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.

13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.

17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.

Jesus had this to say to people discussing dire situations:

John 9:2-4

2 And His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned,
this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

“Neither he nor his parents sinned,” Jesus answered,
“He was born blind so that the works of God might be displayed in him.”

As long as the day lasts,
I must carry out the work of the One who sent me;
the night will soon be here when no one can work.

Usually, when John 9 regarding the blind man is discussed, it's only verse 3.
“He was born blind so that the works of God might be displayed in him.”

Exodus 13 does agree.

John 9, only verse 3.  Dire Needs.

“He was born blind so that the works of God might be displayed in him.”

He stole a blessing, and was banished.... Later, his name was Israel.

She was a widow and starving to death in famine. Her husband and sons died in a foreign land. She was bitter. Yet, she traveled with Ruth. Naomi.

He was a coward. His nation was failing. He was the least of the least. Gideon.

She was born in a wicked nation. And was a prostitute. 2 men needed help changing the city.
She did help them, even with the city became utterly without security. Great Grandmother to David, mother to Boaz. Rahab.

Anointed by God, even as his father thinks he doesn't count. David.

Taunted by others. Barren. Hannah.

A brave woman, had cancer for 19 years and never gave up, had her faith God was for her. Died of cancer. Still loved God. Went home to Jesus. Still gave her family a life with joy.

John-6-29

Jesus answered and said to them,
'This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.'

John 9

As long as the day lasts,
I must carry out the work of the One who sent me

The New Testament speaks of Day 400 times, as much as anger. Give us this Day.
Look to the Light, what is honorable.

Philippians 4:13

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Thank You, Father

Amen.

The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say. The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be.
