Houston News today entered into Social Media about some circumstances I cannot understand with deep clarity, it's a far away part of Houston (4th Largest City in the USA) from my area. The basic facts of this situation: a person was running for local School Superintendent, and the local Church stood up to say her lifestyle isn't godly. Therefore, it isn't a good fit to run the School District. What was her flaw? I do not honestly know.
This Sermon became public and 1,500 people asked for an apology. Then social media took on the situation. There isn't a solution yet.
This is not unique in history. The Church serves to explain the struggle between right and wrong. Hopefully, the Church is diligent in the areas pleasing to Jesus Christ.
Alexander the Great was presented with a huge mess of rope. It was labelled, “The Gordian Knot of Phyrgia.” And the presentation was meant to distract him from his duties in life. Alexander thought about it and drew a sword and proceeded to knock the whole mess down.
We can do that today, being pleasing to the Lord. The people of Phyrgia were not pleased. They liked the gigantic mess. Go figure.

We know it was NOT.
Patrick spent six years in the West of Ireland herding sheep and, during this difficult time, he turned to his faith for comfort.
No art or written record to explain, but

Patrick not only knew the language of his British parents but studied and understood Latin, in his writing there is evidence that he was well-read in both secular writing and the Scriptures. However, St. Patrick decided to return to Ireland after he had a dream that deeply moved him.
In his Latin autobiography, Confessio, he describes the dream in which he heard the voice of the Irish people. He wrote: “They called out as it were with one voice:
‘We beg you, holy boy, to come and walk again among us’.”
Soon after, St. Patrick returned to Ireland where he travelled far and wide baptizing local people.

After his escape and a period of study and ordination, Patrick returned to Ireland, not as a captive, but as a missionary, to preach the Gospel.
Why wasn't Patrick captured again as a Slave?

was remembered as being extremely kindly and helpful. Loved the Beauty the Irish all know and love. The people who knew Patrick actually mourned when he had runaway to achieve his freedom. He had been known to help all people, in all stations in life. Patrick would stay up all night if a cow or lamb was ill with the keeper. He would look for lost buttons. And help a cook if something was burned or ruined. Helped his owner more than all others when the oldest son was injured, almost mortally. Stayed up nights to help.
Patrick was known to be helpful for being literate and knowing Latin.
