Psalm 100
1Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
3 Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his; [and not we ourselves]
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
5 For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
When we give thanks to Father God, it is a joyful thing to Him. God spoke the words it is more blessed to give than receive. When we give thanks with gratitude, we've actually received. We receive the ability for gratitude to guide us - to know our blessings, to exist in happiness, hope and joy.
Thank you Father, for the precious blessings you give us. Help us each day to take the time to remember the blessings in each day. In Jesus' name. Amen.

More people are, like me, 'glass half full' people. This summer is the first time we are empty nest-ers. It is very bittersweet to have 2 happy, growing up and grown up sons from a house now quiet after many years. Particularly after losing our infant daughter in 2008. Your prayers for us, in this new time, would be appreciated.
Today, I am going to begin a gratitude journal. I tend to miss the blessings of each day, this will give me time to dwell on the blessings. I have hope the best is still yet to be, God is fully willing to continue to bless us.
I do fully believe that without a grateful heart, we do not find peace, joy or fulfillment.
Be blessed, Anne-Laurel
