What would we look like to Father God if He looked at us from our smart TV's?
Matthew 6:6-13
When you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
7 “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. 9 Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
10 Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread,
12 and forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Luke 11:5-10
5 Jesus said to his disciples, “Suppose one of you has a friend. Suppose you go to him at midnight and say, ‘Friend, let me borrow three loaves of bread. 6 A friend of mine on a trip has dropped in on me, and I don’t have anything to serve him.’ 7 Your friend might answer you from inside his house, ‘Don’t bother me! The door is already locked, and my children are in bed. I can’t get up to give you anything.’ 8 I can guarantee that although he doesn’t want to get up to give you anything, he will get up and give you whatever you need because he is your friend and because you were so impudent.
9 “So I tell you to ask, and you will receive. Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened for you. 10 Everyone who asks will receive. The one who searches will find, and for the person who knocks,
the door will be opened.
What would we look like to Father God if He looked at us from our smart TV's?
Would we be distracted? Would our gaze be subdued, and we would want God to Just Take Control? I'd bet before long, we would be tugging or demanding Father God to share and tell and do and answer. Notice The Exodus. James and John argue with Messiah, but bring their mother to stay safe. Peter and His Disciples argue with Risen and Victorious Jesus. Human nature doesn't waver much. God can tell us His Law, and we don't want to wait for the bill to pass and then learn about it, away from the fog of the controversy. We wouldn't want God to say, "Come back tomorrow." We don't want God to say, "It's a good question. Election is known after you packed up. You can't know what God is doing."
It would be like God saying, "No new laws, read my lips."
Instead, God said, "I'm giving a New Commandment, Love One Another."
Life is moving on along again. So much so, we had news yesterday.
The news reminded me of another memory.
One of our son's Youth Leaders said he'd gone to a Leadership Meeting on,
"Getting Everything Done."
And the conclusion was this. You can't deal with all your yard. All your family. All your Job. Every health appointment. Pay all the bills. Take care of all your career and career preparations. Take care of your friends. Take care of your family on the other side of town. Family on the other side of the state or Continent. Feel up and get all your exercise. Feel down and clean your oven. Take care of the latest crisis of childhood or memories. You can't shop for all you need. Repair all your goods. Cook. Clean. Create and deal with Conflict."
Even if you go to a Leadership Seminar. Instead, we have to look at the winds of Life and ask, Father God, please help me to accomplish my life today, as "Give us the Day." Turn my heart and my eyes to the people you need me to see. Help my heart to pray for those you'd have me pray for. Help me to share what you'd like me to share. Direct my will to the Gifts, Talents and Achievements you want me to accomplish. Guide and lead me; Today.
The news we received yesterday was from our long time, 17 year prayer group. Our friend Judy, in Michigan, died. A couple in our group, had a dream to retire to Michigan after teaching college. Her husband Bob was from Michigan. They retired and moved. Delight. And Bob was killed within months by a drunk driver. They were quite a love story. For good reason. She adored Bob. Bob adored her and the family adored them.
Judy adapted slowly to Bob's Passing. And I worried a good bit about her. She grew frail before her time. And in about five years, Judy returned to our area, and we all went to lunch. Where we learned Judy was doing some college tutoring, had a great, wonderful new Church. And had a date. Suddenly we all heard less and less from Judy.
Covid has changed to not be the paralyzing fear. I went on Facebook to wish Judy Happy Birthday and found, Judy was with Jesus in Heaven and had joined her wonderful Bob. Truth be told, I hadn't quit wondering how Judy was. I saw a busy Judy on a busy social media. But she was much, much thinner and fragile frail for her years. When we all found out Judy had probably died of Covid related lesions on the brain, in April. It was shocking to see a lot of people were finding out about Judy passing away in April in October. In my age group, quite a few people aren't Posting. What is there to say other than, "How is your meadow looking? Same ol' meadow."
I'm sure we are all thinking of Judy, now not of Michigan, and instead, of her "Precious Jesus, her Dear Lord and Savior"'s Heaven with "HER BOB!" At this point, we believe looking at her photos - she went where she is Loved Forever. We were all sure. As sure as she is.
Ask The Lord God about Today. Ask the Lord GOD who He'd want you to reach out to talk to. Ask Him what you can nourish. Be glad for your annoying family. Be still and Know Your Blessings. Share what you have, what you know. Go forth knowing you brought the Light of Jesus Christ. Love yourself. Jesus will create a strong, good overflow. Be brave. Be honest. Be kind. Love genuinely. Love diligently. Hope. Don't have regrets for what you should have said and done. And know the Great Reunion is on Jesus the Lord, just as surely as He cooked Breakfast for the Disciples. Even when they argued. God is built on - and - lives Mercy!

The Fringe of Your Robe placed upon all of Your Good Creation.
The Balm of Gilead - Jesus - rubbed just where we hurt.
Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts.
We pray more of Your Good Will filling the whole earth with Your Glory.
We will
Remember our answered Prayers.
And live this Day. Looking in expectation
You will strengthen us,
And the ones we Love.
We will Seek You first and find Your Kingdom.
Covering us with the Name and Power of Jesus,
Brave people. Holding up Life for one another.
We are People with the Help of Jesus,
we can make
Redemption
Strength.
Praying the Victory!
And Virus end!
Knowing God is going to bring
us past the storms into
His Plan of desired Haven
in Psalm 107.
Abba, Delta is the mathematical symbol of Change,
we pray to end all storms for us. Amen.
Fruitful Justice for ALL.
For our families and children yet unborn
For Friends in Heaven.
For the Dutch Iris we spoke of
the Michigan Beauty
and the Love we share in Jesus Christ.
Knowing we will have much time together in Jesus Time.

Liberty and Justice for All!
We ask Jesus to dwell in us and those we Love always,
and help us to find God First.
