Jeremiah 12:1-16
Righteous are you, O Lord,
when I complain to you;
yet I would plead my case before you.
Why does the way of the wicked prosper?
Why do all who are treacherous thrive?
2 You plant them, and they take root;
they grow and produce fruit;
you are near in their mouth
and far from their heart.
3 But you, O Lord, know me;
you see me, and test my heart toward you
Pull them out like sheep for the slaughter,
and set them apart for the day of slaughter.
4 How long will the land mourn
and the grass of every field wither?
For the evil of those who dwell in it
the beasts and the birds are swept away,
because they said, “He will not see our latter end.”
The Lord Answers Jeremiah
5 “If you have raced with men on foot, and they have wearied you,
how will you compete with horses?
And if in a safe land you are so trusting,
what will you do in the thicket of the Jordan?
6 For even your brothers and the house of your father,
even they have dealt treacherously with you;
they are in full cry after you;
do not believe them,
though they speak friendly words to you.”
7 “I have forsaken my house;
I have abandoned my heritage;
I have given the beloved of my soul
into the hands of her enemies.
8 My heritage has become to me
like a lion in the forest;
she has lifted up her voice against me;
therefore I hate her.
9 Is my heritage to me like a hyena's lair?
Are the birds of prey against her all around?
Go, assemble all the wild beasts;
bring them to devour.
10 Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard;
they have trampled down my portion;
they have made my pleasant portion
a desolate wilderness.
11 They have made it a desolation;
desolate, it mourns to me.
The whole land is made desolate,
but no man lays it to heart.
12 Upon all the bare heights in the desert
destroyers have come,
for the sword of the Lord devours
from one end of the land to the other;
no flesh has peace.
13 They have sown wheat and have reaped thorns;
they have tired themselves out but profit nothing.
They shall be ashamed of their harvests
because of the fierce anger of the Lord.”
14 Thus says the Lord concerning all my evil neighbors
who touch the heritage that I have given my people Israel to inherit:
“Behold, I will pluck them up from their land,
and I will pluck up the house of Judah from among them.
15 And after I have plucked them up,
I will again have compassion on them,
and I will bring them again each to his heritage and each to his land.
16 And it shall come to pass,
if they will diligently learn the ways of my people,
to swear by my name,
‘As the Lord lives’
Luke 1:68-79
“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
for He has visited and redeemed his people
69 and has raised up a horn of salvation for us
in the house of his servant David,
70 as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,
71 that we should be saved from our enemies
and from the hand of all who hate us;
72 to show the mercy promised to our fathers
And to remember His Holy Covenant,
73 the oath that he swore to our father Abraham, to grant us
74 that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies,
might serve Him without fear
75 In holiness and righteousness before Him all our days.
76 And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High;
for you will go before the Lord to prepare His Ways,
77 to give knowledge of salvation to His people
in the forgiveness of their sins,
Because of the Tender Mercy of our God
Whereby the Sunrise shall visit us from on high
79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
Usually, we begin and end our days in a circle.
This Circle is Significantly Wider. Jeremiah lived in 700 B.C. and describes Good Friday.
And the Significant Circle of God, He is Light of the world.
We pray and we tell the Lord God The Almighty our complaints.
Prayer, honest prayer, has complaints from Jeremiah 1 to Jeremiah 12 on through all of Jeremiah. And we read complaints to the Lord God in Luke 1. As Jesus is being handed over on Good Friday, we read of the Disciples running from the Circle. And then returning, to John's Gospel Chapter 21, to allow the Living and Risen God Jesus Christ, Only Son of God, to cook and provide breakfast to hear the Disciples relax and complain.
Abba, Father God,
Dwell in us, Jesus Christ,
And we will find songs from the Spirit, singing to God with
gratitude in our hearts.
Help us to Seek You First.
Because of the Tender Mercy of our God
Whereby the Sunrise shall visit us from on high
79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.
God in His
Heaven
World
For in Christ Jesus, all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.
The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth.
Revelation 14:6
Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth – to every nation, tribe, language and people.
From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.
The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.
"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Look! God's dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God."
Abba, we Pray:
Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. NIV
The earth is the LORD's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.
Abba, we Pray in the Highest Name of Jesus:
And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies
because of His Spirit who lives in you.
The Lord Jesus and His Willing Blessings for Elliott.
May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you
to live in such harmony with one another,
in accord with Christ Jesus,
that together you may with one voice
glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
