A Song of Ascents.
Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!
2 O Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my pleas for mercy!
3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?
4 But with You there is forgiveness,
that You may be feared.
5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in His Word I hope;
6 my soul waits for the Lord
more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.
7 O Israel, hope in the Lord!
For with the Lord there is steadfast love,
and with Him is plentiful redemption.
8 And He will redeem Israel
from all his iniquities.
We are a Nation pulling out of Afghanistan.
We have pulled out of wars and found the USA can be peaceful and prosperous.
When we look at the historic translations in Aramaic of the Lord's Prayer, we find 'gyltas' (Old English 995 A.D. guilt), trespass and debt. Jesus speaks of Heaven becoming part of earth and, usually, Jesus does this telling us to, "Repent, the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand." Yet, Jesus is profoundly touched when a believer tells Him, the highest part of relationship is to "Love the Lord Thy God with all your body, mind and heart." And Jesus tells him, is very close to the Kingdom of Heaven.
And for that man, with Jesus being there with him, The Scriptures Alive and Real. Literally, the Kingdom of Heaven was very, very close.
Jesus is telling us, kindly, and the rather rude Disciples, how to move God's Heart and Will in Prayer. How to pray with hope.
Jesus doesn't say, forgive us our sins. Jesus says, "Forgive us our trespasses." There could be several reasons, and the depth of the Prayer has hope even as we get to the guilt, trespass, debt and sin portion.
Jesus has Forgiven the World.
And in the Blessing of such unearned forgiveness and grace, we are free. Free. Free to pray to be only afflicted by trespass. Free to remember in our dank, dark days of graceless and glum, woe is me, Jesus died with supreme hardship to bring such Universal and Eternal Joy of Forgiveness. Free to remember we pray in our upsets over trespass.
Even the will of Abba to not inflict guilt on our debts. But to remind us of our Blessings.
Jesus reminds us Abba, isn't the "Thee Father in Heaven", Abba is 'Daddy' and we are reminded this Father loves us this Abba much. We have to have where Father is to know the difference in this Parental Love.
Genesis 2:10-12
His Good Creation
Father and Creator of All
A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden,
and there it divided and became four rivers.
God does that.
The name of the first is Pishon. It is the one that flowed around
the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold.
And the gold of that land is
good.
Healing for the Nation.
Healing for the Good Creation of God, His earth and the fullness thereof. For Elliott's healing. And Blessings of All His Love on my son Alexander!
Amen in Jesus the Lord!!!
