1 John 2:2
He is the propitiation for our sins,
and not for ours only but also for the sins
of the whole world.
The painting of Jesus is one of the favorites I have from writing this blog since 2007. Jesus is all in. Not deist. Not far away. Active, working, in life, smiling and with Joy and Love. Jesus is the exact nature of God; Father, who loves His Child. You. In a loving relationship with you. He upholds the Universe and has time for each of His Beloved.
We will all fall short... of.. The Glory of God. No one can read 1 John 2 and not have knowledge, we don't all fall short. Like Aaron being invited into the Holy of Holies, where the Ark of the Covenant is the mercy seat of God the Almighty, Aaron is invited knowing blood will be splashed to wash away sins before Jesus. Messy.
Jesus is never intended to be our waiter. Jesus finds Life Joy. And in His nature is Steadfast Love. We provide for our Jesus what pleases Him. Trust, Faith, Love. Endurance with Hope.
Jesus teaches us to Love one another as His Commandment. To love the Lord God, Father Almighty and provide Him our soul to dwell. To thrill the Lord.
Jesus records the name of one He healed.
Mark 10:46-52
46
And they came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
48 And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
49 And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.”
And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart. Get up; he is calling you.” 50 And throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus. 51 And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?”
And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.”
52 And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.
Bartimaeus, had done as the woman who touched the fringe of his garment.
Matthew 9:18-22
18 While he was saying these things to them, behold, a ruler came in and knelt before him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.” 19 And Jesus rose and followed him, with his disciples.
20 And behold, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, 21 for she said to herself, “If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.”
22 Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, “Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.”
And instantly the woman was made well.
Pleased with faith, Jesus is pleased. Both prayers are impossible. God is asked because nothing is impossible with God. Instead of assuming Jesus is busy with many people, (like the people in the painting talking to Jesus) both Bartimaeus and the woman believe Jesus would love them and listen.
Both Bartimaeus and the woman have prayer blocks. Bartimaeus is told he is should be quiet and not bother others. The woman is shown Jesus is busy and with more important and holy people.
The reading today was about the Pharisee who prayed his own praises and the tax collector who has made some bad choices in life, being a thug for a living for Romans, and, yet, hopes for God's mercy. The thug had prayer blocks, he had made bad choices, or had his life patterned in a way that was no longer pleasing to him, but life held him in place. The Pharisee felt God would smile upon him. The thug hoped for God's mercy. Tenderness, this is what we want from Love. Jesus tells us He wants our hearts open, believing and tender.
Micah 6:8. Answered prayer in one solid verse.
Micah 6:8
He has told you, O man, what is good;
and
what does the Lord require of you
but to do justice,
and to love kindness,
and to walk humbly with your God?
We know Bartimaeus walked with Jesus. Jesus gives Bartimaeus rare, and named, praise. We don't know what happened much later to the woman who touched the lowest fringe of Jesus' robe. Jesus honored women. We know He had sisters and, yet, let History give them anonymity. Not in 300 A.D., when the torture of Jesus' family in Nazareth would change the life of Constantine and the entire world, Constantine saw love, seeing their steadfast Jesus devotion. Constantine saw Jesus the Lord in His Family.
Jesus told Simon, anther day, about woman, this woman will be remembered through all of history for kissing His feet and wiping His feet with her hair.
Jesus has let the woman with bleeding, having faith make her well, put her in His Word and not holding up her name. Her act of faith reached for Jesus. Reached out to be healed and did not need to be recognized. Knew He was too busy with holier people. And she reached for Jesus and hopeddddddd. Only Jesus knew her prayer. Like Nathaniel, in John's Gospel, Chapter 1.
Jesus teaches us the Comfort, when we reach for Jesus, for the impossible, with hope, we have reached correctly. And like the woman, allow Jesus to be God. God answers prayers. In His Love, in His Plan, in His wisdom. And the Gates of Heaven are always open.
Peter probably gets bored holding the keys to Heaven!
Romans 4:20
Yet he did not waver through disbelief in the promise of God,
but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,
Abba, Father,
Help us to see the wheat
and be the Wheat of God on the days
the weeds seem to choke out
faith.
Help us to reach to You
and find Joy.
Dwell in me, Jesus Christ.
Please dwell in those I love.
In Jesus, help us to seek You first.
We will finish well in Jesus Christ.
Help as our Foundation.
To build and remain in Love.
To accept Love and Know You alone are God.
Not to accept what is not acceptable.
In Joy, to shake off what is not valor.
And in Your Joy
take what the wild winds blow
and find God as Refuge
and Jesus as Peace.
Being bold
and courageous
and enduring in Jesus.
Allowing the difficulties
to give us wisdom
and make way, truth and Life in Jesus Christ
for the people
You have placed in our care.
Let us receive Your Mercy
in our soul
and do as You ask
each day.
By this is love perfected with us,
so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment,
because
AS HE IS
so also are we in this world.
His Mercies Renew
God is our Joy and Strength.
We do not know all You know.
We do not have the omnipotence for a complete prayer.
We can't surround every person
or every issue
to bring the healing we know Jesus does.
You are the Light of Heaven.
Jesus, You are the Light of Nations.
Jesus Christ,
Only Son of the Most High God,
You are the Light of mankind.
We have a heart for the difficulties
facing our own lives,
the lives of those we love,
This Nation,
and Ukraine
and the plight of the Russians.
And in the hearts of mankind
You have delighted in,
we ask Jesus Christ
to be our Blessing,
Teacher,
Healer,
Lord of us all.
God of Love.
God of Encouragement.
We Thank You
for the Blessings
You give us daily.
And ask for You
provide
Grace and Mercy
for our trespasses.
To heal us,
the Healing in our Loved Ones,
to Heal the Nation,
To Bless Ukraine and Russians
with Peace.
Love.
Joy.
Jesus.
Amen in Your Son,
the Highest Name of Jesus,
Amen.
Abba, Father God,
May God Bless us by dwelling in us.
Bless us by dwelling in those we Love.
Help us to Seek You First
In Jesus Christ, we will finish well.
Bless us surrounding, upholding, comforting us
and Blessing us in the Highest Name of Jesus Christ.
May we be so blessed as to seek God first.
Blessed be the Highest Name of Jesus
for Fulfilling His Word to us.
Surround us with Your Love
and Your Mercy, we ask in Jesus.
Thank You, Father. Abba.
We ask to be rid of all Covid, pandemics and anger.
Mark 16:1-8
~ they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled
Never could happen
and, yet,
this is Miraculously Jesus
We will Rise.
We pray for Liberty and Justice for all.
We will pray for the Nation to have
Jesus, Justice with Mercy.
We ask the Lord
for
Liberty and Justice
For ALL
Justice
will flow like
waters of righteousness
in an ever present
and flowing presence of God.
Finally, be strong in The Lord and in the strength of His might.
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, 18 praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, 19 and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel
Jesus has the Victory.
We are more.
We are conquerors
in
Jesus Christ
