23 The same day Sadducees came to him, who say that there is no resurrection, and they asked him a question, 24 saying, “Teacher, Moses said, ‘If a man dies having no children, his brother must marry the widow and raise up offspring for his brother.’ 25 Now there were seven brothers among us. The first married and died, and having no offspring left his wife to his brother. 26 So too the second and third, down to the seventh. 27 After them all, the woman died. 28 In the resurrection, therefore, of the seven, whose wife will she be? For they all had her.”
29 But Jesus answered them, “You are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. 31 And as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was said to you by God: 32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not God of the dead, but of the living.”
33 And when the crowd heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
34 But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. 35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
38 This is the great and first commandment.
39 And a second is like it:
You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”
We see great political posturing and agenda in these verses of The Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 22. The Pharisees and Sadducees were always mucking out a place for their agenda. The Sadducees believe there is no Heaven, only the temporal is important. They mock Jesus with the idea Heaven exists.
Grace upon Grace. The Son of God never turns to the people saying, clowns to the right of me, jokers to the left, and I'm stuck in the middle with you. The Mercy of God is seen in the middle of Political Agenda. The Light of God shines with Love and Compassion. And in the middle of the primordial goo, Jesus shines Love and Joy for all times and all seasons. Jesus Shines. On. Always.
Jesus does the Impossible. He takes the ongoing conflict and gives us Words of Life. Hope. Joy. As Jesus cuts through the Sadducees mocking Heaven and gives us an astonishing view of from the Book of Revelation. A glimpse of Heaven with Jesus.
Jesus casually answers, just an aspect of Heaven. Billy Graham understood this when he said, "I've read the last page of the Bible, it's going to turn out All Right." We will take our questions regarding so many things. Abba, our Father, keeps the Gates of Heaven always open and unlocked. He welcomes us yesterday, today and tomorrow. We have His Love and His desire for our prayer conversations.
Psalm 131
O Lord, my heart is not lifted up;
my eyes are not raised too high;
I do not occupy myself with things
too great and too marvelous for me.
2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul,
like a weaned child with its mother;
like a weaned child is my soul within me.
3 O Israel, hope in the Lord
from this time forth and forevermore.
We can ask The Lord God Almighty anything in the adoption of ours in Jesus Christ.
As easily as Jesus answers the hundreds of years of Sadducees, we will have our heart's answers.
Revelation 22:3-5
“Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man.
He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
5 And he who was seated on the throne said,
“Behold, I am making all things new.”
He is not God of the dead,
but of the living!!!
And in this we have
our Hope
Jesus Christ Gives Us.
Hope is Action.
Hope is in small things.
Making us the Beloved of Jesus.
Hope is His Way, Truth and Life.
Abba, Father,

Email registry at bottom.! “All Scripture is inspired by God” (2 Timothy 3:16). Men “moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:21). The Holy Spirit carried men along, moving and guiding them as they wrote in their own words what God wanted them to say.
The Bible is unique; comprised of 80 separate books, & written over a period of thousands of years by more than 40 writers with one Author, spanning the centuries, different states of peace & war & different situations in life. The Bible answers the question: of who is God, who is man & what can their relationship can be. Although the Bible was written on perishable material and copied by hand for many centuries, its accuracy is not in doubt, proven by Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus from 2,000 years. The Bible has survived persecution & criticism to be read with great interest in each generation.
The Bible gives witness to the greatness of the Creator. A loving Father concerned for all of his creation. With each verse of the bible witnessing to God is love and the multitude & vastness of His attributes. The Bible was written for you. <><
