Matthew 3:12
Now, importantly, Matthew 3:12 is Jesus.
This passage calls us to remember. We are like Jesus, our people in our lives are not always specifically chosen by us. Just given by Father God. Neither did Jesus change Himself for Pharisees or Disciples. Jesus spoke truth with mercy, day after day, at cost to Himself.
Is the main verse a repeat Scripture? Yes. Revelation appears, to me, to be a Father in such sadness. Like David for Absalom. Sorrow to find treachery and no love, just selfishness. Hell does not continue. The Children of God are not forsaken to an eternity of torture.
Revelation 21:8
Hell does not continue. The anguish is over.
Jesus is the LORD and Salvation. Jesus speaks God's words. Jesus lives God's promises.
Jesus Christ prays in John 17, an eternally Good News Word of God for us. Because we are not Jesus, we will not decide anyone's fate. We will do like Jesus, we will hold the people in our lives and lift them to God. Jesus told us He is the Prince of Peace. He decides.
God came to save the world in Jesus Christ. Not sanctify the world itself. A person who couldn't tell their parents who they were. Who had family laugh at their morality, in a time our culture valued morality. A person who wanted to make sure their children were the emotional slaves to ensure old age comfort. Conversations would vere between overtly and subtly pernicious. This person stole gifts at family events, holidays, Christian celebrations and crosses from different people. The motto in life written beside the bed was, "God won't love you more, if you are good." Actions and words are the fruit of our heart and soul. The fruit of our actions and words are the tree. Only Jesus saves us, seeing more than we can see.
This week, we had our front yard Cross have the arm knocked off. Security Cameras are a nice situation, we found out within the hour who did it. Called the company. They will figure this out. We live in an odd time. The Cross fit back together with Silicone Glue within the hour and looks exactly the same. God is resilient. God's Work is steadfast. The Cross has always been a beleaguered symbol of God's Holiness overcomes and wins. I'm pleased with my yard cross to be enduring. Prevail Jesus Christ! Amen!
The Prodigal Son life determines what our portion will be in Jesus Christ.
We pray.
Matthew 23:27
as a hen gathers her brood under her wings,
and you were not willing!
