Psalm 20 ~ May we shout for Joy

 

Psalm 20

For the director of music. A Psalm of David.

1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the Name of the God of Jacob protect you. 2 May He send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. 3 May He remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings. 

4 May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. 5 May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your requests.

6 Now this I know:
The LORD gives victory to His anointed. He answers him from His Heavenly Sanctuary with the victorious power of His Right Hand.

7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the Name of the LORD our God.

They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm. 

LORD, give victory to the king! Answer us when we call!

It would be difficult to believe David's observations of life - without him being a real person.

 And yet, the faithful have done this for two millenniums without proof. Blessed are the eyes that don't see and yet believe.

Romans 3:10

For we have already made the charge that Jews and Greeks alike 

are all under sin. 

As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one."

James 2:23

And the scripture was fulfilled that says, 

“Abraham believed God, 

and it was credited to him as righteousness,” 

and he was called God’s friend.

Psalm 103:12

As far as the east is from the west, 

so far does he remove our transgressions from us.

Romans 10:9

 If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, 

and shall believe in your heart that God 

has raised Him from the dead, 

you shall be saved. 

Psalm 32:5

Then I acknowledged my sin to You and did not hide my iniquity. 

I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD," 

and You forgave the guilt of my sin.

Isaiah 38:17

Surely for my own welfare I had such great anguish; 

but Your love has delivered me from the pit of oblivion,

 for You have cast all my sins

 behind Your back.

So they signaled to their partners in the other boat

2 Samuel 6:9

That day David feared the LORD and asked, 

"How can the ark of the LORD 

ever come to me?"

1 Samuel 6:20 

And the people of Beth Shemesh asked, 

“Who can stand in the presence of the LORD, this holy God? 

To whom will the ark go up from here?”

Hebrews 9:5-12

And above it were the cherubim of glory 

overshadowing

 the mercy seat; 

but of these things we cannot now speak in detail. 

Now when these things have been so prepared,

 the priests are continually entering the outer tabernacle 

performing the divine worship, 

but into the second, only the high priest enters once a year, 

not without taking blood, 

which he offers for himself 

and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance

Isaiah 6:5

 

“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! 

For I am a man of unclean lips, 

and I live among a people of unclean lips,

 and my eyes have seen 

the King, 

the LORD Almighty.”

Matthew 9:36 

And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, 

and was moved 

with compassion toward them, 

because they were as sheep 

not having a shepherd: 

and he began to teach 

Abba, Father,

We thank You for the Life You recorded of David.

You remind us, You are Father of all mercies. Tender Love.

Your Good Will is triumphant.

We are Blessed by You Daily. 

To learn, David wanted to search the Scriptures to find Truth.

You do not leave Children of God and

Your Beloved Behind. 

Father, You save the world in Jesus Christ.

Asking healing and blessing on the Your Good Creation. 

The Drug Store Muzak was reminding us all today

this is a time of great stress and anxiety,

please remember this for everyone and be kind.

Each day consider the stress we all have, Muzak said,

and in being kind and polite, we will overcome.

Jesus cover us in Mercy and Healing, we ask.

We ask You to cover us in the Name of Jesus. We ask this of our Loved ones. 

We ask the Beloved of God around the world 

are heard asking for more Heaven on earth. 

We pray for our own Nation and the Nations trusting in Jesus to be Blessed.
