John 6:41-51 ~ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Jesus

Philippians 3:20

Our citizenship is in Heaven, 

and 

we eagerly 

await a Savior from there, 

the Lord Jesus Christ

John 6:41-51

41 So the Jews grumbled about Him, because He said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.”

42 They said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does he now say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?” 

43 Jesus answered them, “Do not grumble among yourselves. 44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. 45 It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me— 46 not that anyone has seen the Father except he who is from God; he has seen the Father.

47 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. 50 This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

Ephesians 1:10

And He 

made known to us the mystery of His Will 

according to 

His Good Pleasure

which He purposed in Christ, 

to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment

--to bring all things in Heaven and on earth 

together 

under one head, 

even Christ.

Salvation is a gift from God Almighty.

No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him.

Belief grows into worship, into action. Man can debate Salvation. Ultimately, finally and completely it is God's Plan.

Matthew 7:13-21

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. 18 A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.

21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in Heaven.

And let's ask a difficult question. Why does it say:

Romans 10:13

For everyone who calls 

on the Name of the Lord 

will be saved.

Romans 10:13 is repeated in Acts 2:21 and in Joel 2. What is the disparity between wide salvation and the narrow gate? This all comes down to. The ultimate question. Do you believe the Lord, will He save you. Belief is part of salvation. Nations, nations will live in the Kingdom of Heaven. But without belief....some day when nations and multitudes come to the valley of decision, there will be a time when you and God are fully known to one another. A glorious day. Jesus, our mediator, will judge.

Where do you stand in your faith?

Is Jesus the Only Son of God, Savior of all who rise in Him?

Are God's Promises True?

Is there a Heaven God gives to His people of faith?

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner. I have done things not pleasing to You. I have lived my life for myself. I am sorry and I repent. I ask you to forgive me. I believe You died on the cross for me, to save me. You did what I could not do for myself. I come to you now and ask You to live in me. I give You my life. Help me to live every day in a way pleasing to You. I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.
